Millenial Hope - Then And Now (In One Cartoon)

And as a gentle reminder of why... here is the full breakdown of "young vs old" jobs since the start of the Depression in December 2007: those 55 and older have gained 4.9 million jobs. Those under 55 are still some 3.1 million jobs below their December 2007 level.

Yes, the population ages.  But no, that does not mean there has been no population increase under 55.

So 3.1 million jobs below that level with a ton more people that age walking around since 2007.

"Yes, the population ages.  But no, that does not mean..."

The population ages but it does not mean they get any smarter.  I met my first old man liberal when I was in my 20's, it blew me away, I assumed he had some wisdom because he was old like my grandaddy.

The shame is that these kids are running to government to solve the problems created by government in the first place.  The goal of the State is to have the entire population dependent on government.  Government sees rising unemployment and rising welfare as good things.  The only problem is that you have to keep all the unemplyed occupied.  I would be watching for war on the horizon.

It seems the statists have won that battle over the US, most are now dependent on gov in one form or another.  We've been slowly socialized into dependence while they robbed the Nation of it's wealth.  The question is whether we will be able to find ourselves again.   I don't have much hope in this generation.  I'm planning long term.

Come on now, we've gone over this. You may not have hope in this generation. But just remember who 'raised' them.

I didn't mean to call out or offend any particular "grouping".   I meant generation in the broader sense, as in those who are still alive, capable and of responsible age.  But it's interesting that the only one's that always seem offended by generation talk are either of the hipster or hippy generation.

Yeah, hard to compete with the statist (educational) indoctrination system for 12-16 years or more that pushes redistribution, so-called social-justice, and the vacuous and insipid kum-by-ya-can't-we-all-just-get-along mentality. Who raised them, indeed!

Goes even deeper than that. This generation were all told they were special. Everybody won a prize whenever they competed. So (as a group) they were completely unprepared to hit an economy as bad as this one. It would be hard to find a generation as hosed as this one since the early 1930's. However, there were many parents who never bought into that "everybody's a winner because everybody's special" approach. I've met lots of very gifted men and women in their 20's and early 30's. Creating their own companies and making their way very well in a difficult situation.

It was a multi-pronged attack.  Once upon a time, one man's wages could raise a family.  If the wife worked then the family home was paid off in seven years, not thirty.  As inflation eroded wages and people complained, they were told to work harder so they did, leaving zero time for mothers and fathers to raise their children ...

Look at the nineties, where the media was complaining that young people don't take on enough risk.  (Later on they modified it to "young people need to learn how to manage risk).  What did that really mean?  It meant, borrow more money even though you don't know how to pay it back.  Or find some sucker onto which you can dump all your mistakes.

"You didn't work hard enough."
"You didn't work smart enough."
"You didn't innovate."
"You have to be your own boss."
"You didn't take on enough risk."
"You didn't properly manage your risk."
"Oh shit, we need to bail out the banksters.  No-one coulda seen this coming."

"Women want to have careers as well as children."
"Oh no, people can't afford child care."

It was a multi-pronged attack.  The only crime of the people was to listen to their "learned elders" and not stand their ground.

It's even more of a shame that their parents' generation let them down when they turned their education almost exclusively over to the government. It's the parents' responsibility to teach them and train them on how to protect the freedoms our forefathers fought so hard to earn for them. How many gave their lives and their fortunes to pass on that historic legacy of freedom. But freedom comes with responsibility... and far too many of us got fat and lazy and apparently didn't pass along the necessary knowledge, and/or didn't instill that watchful spirit that it takes to guard those freedoms. Freedom, as they say, isn't free. It looks like we haven't paid the necessary price ... yet?

Got half a family full of them, Harbanger.  After telling everyone what they should be doing (which is all libs know how to do), they bitch about their social security not going up fast enough and Medicare costing more.  Don't get me started.

Then there's this uncle who's been in the public education racket for decades.  You would peg him for a stone cold lib just looking at him.  Until you talk to him and find out he's a staunch conservative.  I always wonder how the hell he rose to the level of superintendent at not just one, but TWO different school districts.  Must be because he's always done it out in the burbs.  Guy would never have gotten above the substitute teacher level with those convictions working in the city.

Not only that, Rand Paul Struggles To Explain Why He's Supporting McConnellthe bearer of the Republican Flag for Amnesty in the US Senate…

Sahil Kapur – February 10, 2014

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is embarrassed to be supporting Mitch McConnell for re-election, and he can barely hide it.

In a radio interview posted to YouTube on Saturday, the conservative freshman was asked by an incredulous Glenn Beck why he's endorsing the Senate Republican leader.

After an awkward pause, Paul tried to change the subject.

"Um ... I'm here in Texas today to endorse Don Huffines," he said.

Beck burst into laughter. Paul laughed with him, and then took a stab at answering the question. But he couldn't muster up a single nice thing to say about his fellow Kentuckian and leader of his party.

"Uhh, because he asked me," Paul said. "He asked me when there was nobody else in the race. And I said yes."

"Well, Al Gore has asked me to change my opinion on global warming and I don't do that," Beck quipped.

It's extraordinarily rare for a child of a great man to follow in their foot steps. In fact I am hard pressed to think of an example. Obviously this is not genetic. The one thing that seems to be true for most great men is they come from humbler backgrounds and had to struggle to achieve. Nepotism in politics, as well as anywhere else, never works out to be beneficial.

And, sadly, I must agree with you about Putin. To think I would be living in the downward spiral of this country with no hope for the future is so incredulous for me. That everyone around me is so clueless to this fact makes it even more so. I guess it's easy to pick on Millennials as basement dwelling losers but looking at their future prospects in this country, I can understand why they have given up.

Obama is an ancient Kenyan surname. The name is found frequently among the Luo, the third largest ethnic group in Kenya. It is believed that the name derived from the root word obam, which means “to lean or bend.”

Obama’s middle name Hussein is the first name of his paternal grandfather. The name, which is of Arabic origin, means “good” or “handsome one.”

meaning = good, bend over you fucking useless piece of shit!

you must know nothing about british media.  that's ok.  here's a free lesson.

Daily Mail's target audience is middle england:

The phrase "Middle England" is a socio-political term which generally refers to middle class or lower-middle class English people who hold traditional or right-wing views.[

basically, the whole point of that picture "article" is simply to reinforce the anti-nonwhite agenda.

I've taken to riding a bike to work. Cars are frankly a waste of money that only depreciate.

I work two jobs. I never attended college; being a debt slave for a job that may or may not exist is not an appealing prospect for me.

My generation is headed toward a terrifying new horizon. Learning how to cope with it is key.

They struggle, but I am still there to help and by the way, I love riding the bike. My offspring have never opted into the debt debacle because of it. I'm a saver, never a borrower or a lender be. Off topic but figure maybe one of the contributors might want to run with this story.

http://grassrootjournal.com/how-much-of-your-money-does-microsoft-makes-...

Online news outlet the Daily Dot has obtained invoices from Microsoft’s Global Criminal Compliance Unit that reveal the exact amounts Microsoft charges the FBI’s Digital Intercept Technology Unit.  The invoices reveal that Microsoft charges the government around $200 in taxpayer money for user information. In and of itself, this is not news.  The real question is why Microsoft charges the government anything at all, given the demonstrated power of the United States government to illegally access user information and records through the NSA’s PRISM program.

Revelations about PRISM detailed massive intercepts of user data from Google, Microsoft, and Yahoo, among others.  The NSA simply tapped directly into Google and Yahoo’s servers, which begs the question: does the NSA’s surveillance serve as a kind of mass examination of user data that is then screened for relevant user information, which is then filtered down to individual users and turned over to other agencies like the FBI, who can then obtain warrants to give their requests the imprimatur of constitutionality?

While Microsoft is fully aware of the information it turns over to the FBI, due to the direct request involved, there is no clear answer of how the FBI obtains the information to generate the request in the first place.  Given that Google and Yahoo were completely unaware of the NSA’s direct tap into their servers, it stands to reason that the NSA had similar programs in place for other tech companies like Microsoft.

Indeed, the history of the NSA’s involvement with Microsoft is quite interesting: in 1999, Microsoft’s programmers were stunned by the revelation that Windows 2000 had three backdoor keys, but Microsoft’s engineers were only aware of the existence of two such keys. As it turns out, every version of Windows since Windows 95 had shipped with backdoor access built in for the NSA.  The NSA had used Microsoft’s voluntary inclusion of a two such backdoor keys to build in a third key without Microsoft’s knowledge.

The NSA manufactured a narrative about turf wars between government agencies over the NSA’s bulk surveillance information early on when Edward Snowden’s revelations came out, only to be caught flat-footed when the NSA’s data sharing with the DEA’s Special Operations Division.  The DEA scrubbed the origins of its tips from the NSA’s data sharing in order to prevent defendants from being able to contest the constitutionality of its evidence in court.  There’s only one problem: not only does the NSA’s bulk surveillance program go beyond the mandate of existing federal law, it also violates both the Fourth and Sixth Amendments to the United States Constitution when the NSA collects such information in the first place through bulk surveillance, and when secondary agencies like the DEA lie about the origins of evidence in court.

It was later revealed that the DEA’s Special Operations Division was sharing its NSA tips with the IRS.  It does not strain credulity to believe that the NSA has provided similar information to the FBI, either directly or through the DEA’s Special Operations Division.  If such information was the basis of any of the warrants and subpoenas, any evidence obtained by the FBI from companies like Microsoft would be inadmissible in court.

Of course unemployment for those 54 and under will continue if we continue bringing in mass waves of unemployed immigrants.

While it’s been said that amnesty is suicide for the GOP, it’s also suicide for American workers.

This thing about dealing with the issue of illegal immigration for the people who are here is utter nonsense. What Congress is proposing is permanent amnesty for as many unemployed workers the corporations want in order to drive down wages and jobs for American citizens, now and forever. And everybody knows it.

This is nothing less than open borders.

“Although politicians and the media have settled on the claim that there are 11 million illegal aliens, the actual number may well be closer to 20 million to 30 million.”

This is the finding of WND in a July 2013 exclusive, GOP immigration plan devised by Communist Party - Goal: Use amnestied illegals to build 'permanent progressive majority'.

Reports WND: “There were 10 million in 1996, a mere 10 years after Reagan’s amnesty, and it is doubtful only one million more have been added in the ensuing 17 years. Since 1990, Border agents have apprehended on average more than 1 million illegal aliens per year, almost all from Mexico…

"Thus, current proposals provide a path to citizenship for as many as 20 to 30 million illegal aliens here now, plus relatives who will be brought in through chain migration and at least 75 percent of those who will come in the future – virtually endless amnesty – while efforts to secure the border are almost certain to be insufficient."

http://www.wnd.com/2013/07/gop-immigration-plan-devised-by-communist-party/#M6d4cchE7CE54I7t.99

Pew Research reported in January 2013 that “according to a recent survey of U.S. adults, 39% said that dealing with the issue of illegal immigration should be a top priority for the president and the Congress.” Of course, as Pew low balls politically incorrect data, the number is probably much higher.
