Russia Prepares Mega-Deal With India After Locking Up China With "Holy Grail" Gas Deal
Last week we reported that while the West was busy alienating Russia in every diplomatic way possible, without of course exposing its crushing overreliance on Russian energy exports to keep European industries alive, Russia was just as busy cementing its ties with China, in this case courtesy of Europe's most important company, Gazprom, which is preparing to announce the completion of a "holy grail" natural gas supply deal to Beijing. We also noted the following: "And as if pushing Russia into the warm embrace of the world's most populous nation was not enough, there is also the second most populated country in the world, India." Today we learn just how prescient this particular comment also was, when Reuters reported that Rosneft, the world's top listed oil producer by output, may join forces with Indian state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corp to supply oil to India over the long term, the Russian state-controlled company said on Tuesday.
Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin, an ally of President Vladimir Putin, travelled to India on Sunday, part of a wider Asian trip to shore up ties with eastern allies at a time when Moscow is being shunned by the West over its annexation of Crimea.
With EU nations threatening to cut their reliance on Russian oil and gas, Russian officials have started to look East.
Rosneft said it had also agreed with ONGC they may join forces in Rosneft's yet-to-be built liquefied natural gas plant in the far east of Russia to the benefit of Indian consumers.
We just have one question: will payment for crude and LNG be made in Rubles or Rupees? Or in gold. Because it certainly won't be in dollars.
Rosneft, which is increasing oil flows to Asia to diversify away from Europe, did not provide any additional details but said it had discussed potential cooperation with Reliance Industries and Indian Oil.
It did not have to: it is quite clear what is going on. While the US is bumbling every possible foreign policy move in Ukraine (and how could it not with John Kerry at the helm), and certainly in the middle east, where it is alienating Israel and Saudi just to get closer to Iran, Russia is aggressively cementing the next, biggest (certainly in terms of population and natural resources), and most important New Normal geopolitical Eurasian axis: China - Russia - India.
More:
The company said Sechin and the head of Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries also met and discussed potential cooperation in developing Russia's offshore resources, viewed by Moscow as a source of future oil production growth.
India was the last country in Sechin's Asian trip, where he also visited Japan, South Korea and Vietnam.
Russia is the world's top oil producer, pumping over 10 million barrels per day but mostly from west Siberian deposits, which are running out. Moscow is betting on offshore and unconventional oil to maintain the level.
At the same time, Russia is trying to diversify its energy flows away from its core European markets, with Rosneft leading the race with plans to triple oil flows to China to over 1 million barrels per day in coming years.
Rosneft said Sechin also discussed potential shipments of Russia's East Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) oil blend to India's biggest refiner Indian Oil Corporation (IOC.NS) but did not provide details.
There is only one country missing - Germany. Because while diplomatically Germany is ideologically as close to the US as can be, its economy is far more reliant on China and Russia, something the two nations realize all too well. The second the German industrialists make it clear they are shifting their allegiance to the Eurasian Axis and away from the Group of 6 (ex Germany) most insolvent countries in the world, that will be the moment the days of the current reserve petrocurrency will be numbered.

Russia's timing is fucking brilliant.

Fuck the western gueberments and their idiocy. Burn the fucking dollar to a crisp and get some PHIZZZ instead. Its days are numbered and getting choked by the hour. Wake the fuck up people, procrastination ain't doing you good, save yoursleves from this stinking sinking titanic hull of shit.
Days of Petrocurrency are numbered? Is China going to buy oil in rubles? What is a fair exchange rate for a pariah country? Will Russia accept yuan? Where would Russia spend that yuan?
Throw India in the mix and you've got neo Larry, Curly and Moe. How long will it take before they are at each other's throats over systemic corruption issues.
If Germany bides it's time, it can step in at the opportune moment and be the "parent" to the squabbling "kids". Good Bye Britain.
^^^there you go...
The world is always at "war" as it were...
lots of opportunity in chaos folks...
I'm getting a moment of deja vu...you sure you're not reposting this comment from some other thread?
No... but I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night...
Russia and China support using the SDR basket as long as their currencies are added. in order for their currencies to be added, they need gold (or oil) backing. makes all recent events line up. the IMF/BIS wins again and the "West" losses their time in the sun. the global currency game goes on.
It's pretty hard to use an SDR (that is not in use yet) when all the other parties are mad at you.
Systemic corruption is everywhere else too.
Russia is already embracing the yuan so you have your answer.
No one but no one is looking to Germany to be their master. Europeans were tricked & are revolting to the outcome already.
ECB orders another 10m windmills asap!
Won't save Solyndra. Or many of the others.
Best of luck with those fucking asian chiselers. I don't have much personal experience with Chins, but I swear those goddam hindis will fucking die and THEN argue with the undertaker about the cost of the coffin.

Wait, wait, wait. I thought we could dominate the world forever through financialization of everything. The global threat to our way of life could only come about if the number of MBA graduates from ivy-league schools declined. Somebody do something! Rehypothecate your portfolios, men! Improve your algorythmic performance! You can deny the energy producers their BTU-driven wealth by inventing a few more financial "products."

WTF.. We are supposed to be allies to India. SERIOUSLY... WTF!!!! WHY THE HELL IS THE WHITE HOUSE SO INCOMPETENT?
We are supposed to be allies to India. SERIOUSLY... WTF!!!!
TW
Let me try to answer that one for you. India has always had Russia and China in it's orbit of business relations considering the shared proximity to one another, oh since about....
When the "three amigos" show up and say we gotta deal for you by offshoring all of our strategic manufacturing and in that deal you will will sell those products only using our preferred currencies and clients both in good times and in bad...
Well tell that to the billion + people in your Country that have their own issues when the manufacturing that the "three amigos" gave you ain't selling in the numbers that are needed and the Americans that once use to make all of it no longer have jobs to buy the shit you now make for them?
SOCN.. I think you're more or less correct (Aside from how Indians don't view the chinese as the greatest of friends per se. because of their war shortly after India gained independence. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1962_Sino-Indian_War)
Aside from other differences.... the move makes sense of course. However.. the US is supposed to be on good terms with the countries surrounding Russia & China. No more. The U.S. will eventually lose malaysia, singapore, indonesia, and maybe even Japan & S. Korea when Russia & China become more economically & militarily powerful.
TW
And all three of them were doing much better before England and the U.S. came to their shores.
Just sayin
I remember a couple of years ago one Indian diplomat was humiliated at a US airport and the US refused to appology. They must be others reasons, but this affected badly relation between both country.
Most insightful thing here that hadn't occurred to me was the point about Germany. I feel like that really could be the lynchpin country in any tilting of power, if that happens. It would pull the economic core of Europe politically into the Eurasian axis, then what's left of the West would be essentially 3 insolvent countries (USA, UK, France) heavily reliant on unusable military force to prop up the petrodollar.
There is a bit of spectrum of conflict issue in play, like a hierarchy of purpose.
Specifically, the use of military force to secure Libyan oil changed the game in many ways. It defined the purpose of the military to be NOT one of propping up petrodollars, but rather one of just keeping the oil flowing.
This makes a great deal of sense because dollars are whimsy. Oil is, in contrast, all important.
part and parcel of the same process. No US military on oil, no petrodollar.
Z
After all they've been through Post WWII why don't they finally have the "balls" to the throw the U.S. military off there turf and start a new more prosperous chapter?
I can only say that the German government will continue to do what it's told or else something unpleasant may occur. Let's not kid ourselves that's the way they've been "living it" since 1945 in total fear should they even attempt the transgression of daring to go it alone. Any mass voices of dissent in Germany right about now telling their government Not this time??? Just like in the U.S. the conditioning has worked -oh so well...
I think we've already figured out how this one is going to turn out!
Is the west alienating Russia from "the world" or isolating them from contagion
I know who I'd want to be friends with
Second world to first world, "I want a divorce."
Third world to second world, "We want to live with you daddy."
Hillary will supply all the methane butt gaz they need!

There are no allies....only Energy, and who can produce it....

Back to east vs west blocs? With the south being pushed over time eastward because they can't afford the western "system". Many in the west are having trouble affording the system.
So when do the western banksters lose their grip? Very soon as Russia, China and India are no longer playing their games. The western banksters financed the growth, now that's so yeaterday.
Onward to develop their own reserve currency and financial centers. It's downhill from here for the west. Financial people get ready to pack your bags and move to Asia.
banksters are globalists, not 'western'.
A Russian/Indian/Chinese axis? lol! Three of the most corrupt nations on earth - let them bully and bluff each other as we progress.
You could have said the same thing about Japan, Germany and Italy in the 1930's.
The BrRICs all have a common interest. To get rid of depending on the west. Russia already agreed on a Chinese world currency. Other countries like a number of countries like Egypt and Syria will join in as well.
The US really F'd everything up with their CIA meddling. Same with the Saudis. Russia would be right to make the EU freeze by cutting off the natural gas. Watch the EU shiver in the fall if they don't change their attitude.
the usa fucked up with their maniacal, messianic mashup of zionist dreams and american empire. by focusing upon the narrow issues of the mid east at the expense of the lucrative stewardship of the entire world the usa has given up its designation of leader of the world to brown people and putin. any heart beating idiot saw this coming in the 90s and 9/11 confirmed just how much the parasite was in control of the usa.
meanwhile, the american people have ascended to the top of the stupidest people in the world mountain, content to addle their brains with food, booze, drugs, sex, tv and the internet.
Please don't confuse Americans with the Jews that control the entertainment industry and banks.
guarantee you that is an unwise move.
Dual citizens are still Americans and if they're singly only a citizen of the USA, Jew or otherwise, they're still Murrkinz.
I see no semblance between China/Russia/India and 1930s era Germany/Italy/Japan. Please explain.
China/Russia/India feed off their people. You may prefer the "West" of post WWII compared to now, but the West today has clear societal and business advantage levels that China/Russia/India won't achieve because of their thieving systems.
I don't see the difference, you think you see a difference? American prisoners are slaves to build armor & weapons for the military & police state, police riot shields, helmets and even parts for missiles.
And America jails the most of its own citizens compared to any other nation ON EARTH.
So...
U.S. corruption

who is we progressing? don't know much of ancient or recent history, eh? it is real interesting if you care to enlighten yourself about people civilized long before the west emrged from caves.
Civilized? Oh, you mean like binding feet, burning fresh widows, smoking rats out of holes for a living. That sort of civilized behaviours. With such a fucked up, stagnant social construct that a little island, barely a 10th of their size (each) sailed. And I do mean SAILED in wooden ships halfway around the world and kicked their asses right off their pedastals and into slavery for hundreds of years.
Now, regale me once again about the grand discoveries of gunpowder, the number zero, silk and nutmeg, please.
Two of these three can't even get clean water for their populations right. Russia is going to exploit the fuck out them just this side of selling them opium again (maybe?) and when they get bored with it someone else will take their turn.
you almost got it but you revealed you still sing rule brittania in the shower. britain took advantage of an empire in a bubble, an empire that had no challengers since the khan brothers. while brits were splashing their neighbors with chamber pots thrown onto the street in front of their homes china and india ruled the part of the world that has mattered most in the history of humans up until the barbarians of the west were unleashed to plunder the world with their late blooming ascension. when the east is done with the likes of the faggots in the fog you'll have that opportunity again, to throw chamber pots at your neighbors, but you may have to pay to do it in a club or be paid to do it on a reality media show..
Center of the Heavens: Shitting piles by the side of the road, baby girls choking the rivers. At least the filthy little hindis let them die of natural causes before they float them down the "holy" river, the same one they bathe and drink from.
Call me back when you have a flag on the moon. Either one of you, whoever you happen to be a citizenism of, has done nothing but play catch up and copy, even STEALING ideas and innovations those "filthy barbarians" came up with since about what, A.D. 1300? Mimicry is the greatest of flatteries, they say.
Enjoy the local water, you sound like you need a good physic.
Gunpowder wasn't actually that much of a breakthrough. The Chinese used 'one shot only' bamboo poles as their first guns. The real breakthrough was metallurgy, the making of cannons, which incidentally evolved in tandem with the development of casting church bells (church bells and cannons are remarkable similar in terms of material and method of construction).
ding, ding, ding! we have a winner. the change in empires throughout history has always been predicated by a change in technology that greatly benefited the the conqueror over the conquered. weapons technology has been the most obvious.
what happens in an age where there is no technological advantage because everyone has the same technology? the normal logistics of warfare take over. as the west bankrupts itself at the feet of their master bankers the east has the advantage in terms of people, landmass and resources. they win.
how about the ones who are net importers of food end up eating one another. People aren't necessarily an asset, especially when you have too damn many and not enough arable land to feed them.
"what happens in an age where there is no technological advantage because everyone has the same technology?"
eugenics wars
Ditto. I think our foreign policy sucks but I am always eager to prove (yet again) that I will not be put upon. Period.
China is a broke-ass country full of slaves. Fuck you China. Bring your billions marching. 90% will starve because you're not nearly as smart as we credit you.
India? That is just a messy joke. We give you far too much credit too.
Are we so great in America? Nope. But fuck this economic threat bullshit. Seriously.
And where did said barbarians get their might? Why is it the plundering was so easy? So quick? So thorough? Why is it whitey is called upon so frequently to do things throughout history that seemed impossible?
the west was locked into the dark ages until they began looking east for scientific knowledge(the moors and islam) and expanded that knowledge into economic and military might. whitey wasn't worth a shit until they began plundering the world. they haven't stopped since and now they have worn out their welcome and will probably return to their rightful place as a genetically inferior expression of human evolvement.
Your point is well taken but lest we forget the great contributions of a formerly great nation. We weren't always assholes.

must admit i enjoy watching globalism blow up in the maggot's faces
The US liberal's globalism is indeed imploding. Obama thought if he dismantled NASA and the military it would appease Russia and China.
Barry and his ultra liberal policy makers overlooked history.
WHAT liberals? What policymakers?
JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs & Monsanto dictate policy to the White House no matter who's the president.
I am truly greatful for my OCI card
gog and magog are shaping up. the last paragraph mentioned germany as the key to control of the eurozone. once merkel sees how well putin does against the usa she will unravel her balls and do the same, so will japan. the usa overplayed its hand and the world knows all it has is a jackshit high. game over but there will be war before the table is cleared.
yeah, Ezekiel 38-39. The next birthpang in a series for the last days:
-WWI&II
-the re-establishment of Israel
-Jerusalem under Jewish control
-the geopolitical north comes down to attack Israel (with Gomer-Germany, and Iran)
-establishment of a One World Govt
-estab of a 10 kingdom world govt
-the rise of Rosemary's baby seeking world domination-- he takes out 3 unsubmissive kings, making himself the eighth (prob'ly a WW)
the remaining kings give their worship to this Antichrist
-Harmageddon (Christ returns and stops man from self-annihilation)
And there you have it. The end of world history, or the end of the age of the gentile nations. Enter the 1000 yr reign of Christ on the throne of David; the peaceable kingdom.
Where will you be?
religion is bonkers.
I'll be having a scotch laughing at the religi-tards who will once again expect the end of the world and then something else will happen.
Smart people are atheists.
we'll see.
boy am I gonna have egg on my face when the big sky fairy comes back and makes the world flat just so his faithful can tell everyone else 'told ya so!'
Would it be too offensive to direct that at the particular brand of fundies that always say the world is ending next year and then the day comes and nothing?
Not only is it satire but it's ironic. When you think about it a modern doom-porn finance-news blog being used to diss what is probably the oldest and most famous doom-porn of all, history wide: the rapture.
Too bad it's not Quahog, Mayor Adam West would have a much better faceoff against Putin.
It's what Liberals do best.
Divide & destroy!
Liberals? Where? All I see are politicians, banksters & soldiers. Liberals?
I can't get over how much world events are playing out as discussed by Jim Willie in this interview from earlier this month:

WOW - things are really moving in leaps and bounds. Maybe the Roths and company are sick and tired of waiting too long for the reset. They no doubt are well positions
If you'r not a pygmy in the Amazonian rain forest, then you're living in a society that rests on a bed of quicksand....But, realize, it DIDN"T have to be like this....

House Resolution 499: Condemning the Violation of Ukrainian Sovereignty, Independence, and Territorial Integrity by Military Forces of the Russian Federation. The resolution condemns Russia’s unlawful involvement in the Ukraine and calls on the international community to protect Ukraine’s sovereignty. Additionally, the resolution calls on Russia to remove its military forces from Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula and to refrain from interference in all regions of the Ukraine, including ending support of separatist and paramilitary forces in Crimea.
Questions I would like to ask the Congress, Senate, and Administration concerning Resolution 499 include…
1) Was the violent coup supported at least financially by the EU and US through the State Department? Have you examined the evidence and leaked phone conversations of Victoria Nuland of the US State Department? Did this coup not result in the overthrow of Ukraine’s freely elected President Yanukovich? Would that not be a “Violation of Ukrainian Sovereignty”? Was it not also “unlawful involvement”?
2) Prior to Crimea requesting Russian assistance for security during this coup, did they not have a lease agreement for the base at the Black Sea Port (Sevastopol)? Didn’t that agreement already permit the stationing of tens of thousands of Russian troops at said port? So did Russia actually “invade” the country as the Administration and main stream media continue to report?
3) Have you studied the history of Crimea? Do you know how long they have been a part of the former Soviet Union?
4) Do you not support the right of free peoples for peaceful self determination? What is it that you find so offensive about the peaceful referendum and vote carried out in Crimea that you prefer to support an illegitimate government in Kiev that was installed as a result of a violent coup?
Subject to some answers and/or information that contradicts the above facts, I find this Resolution 499 to be completely contrary to the principles that this nation was founded on. Did we not seek independence from a totalitarian King? By the logic of HR499 isn’t the US guilty of invading Cuba because we have troops stationed at Guantanamo Bay? Have we fallen down the rabbit hole and in the upside down world of Alice in Wonderland?
Indians worship Russian chicks. something about their white skin. Indian man will give his shirt of gold off his back to Russian chicks.
Its their beeeg booobies!
and their shaved beev's
They locked up the 2 biggest countries in the world and we locked up Belgium.
A few years back I read a lengthy historical study of the economics of the German Third Reich. On theme kept coming back and back. Germany's fear of food security, and German disgust with the high cost of resources for their industrial growth. The Hitler economists were fearful that they could not procure at reasonable prices all the energy and mineral resources an expanding German nation would need. The central theme well before war broke out was the desire to somehow get Ukraine into the German orbit. We know Germany invaded Ukraine and occupied it in 1918, but Germany lost the war. In 1941 Germany swept back in and conquered Ukraine a second time, only to be expounged by Red Army offensives in 1943-44. SO here we are again, and a whole new angle of approach, a much more subtle and intelligent one. Dupe the locals in the west into being the shock troops of an EU/IMF take over. Once the ink is dry on IMF loans, and a troika moves in to govern the economy, and NATO troops secure the domestic peace. Well Germany can send in their corporations and banks, and this time really get what they have always sought.
To think that Putin is less schooled in history than me would be a mistake. He knows, he knows the whole game being played. An those fascist west Ukrainian idiots, they will be making subway sandwiches for the German bosses and technicians who run their country in a decade! History is not dead, the past has always been a deep clue to the future.
brick crushes marble
Gotta laugh at the wild assed comments here based on an article of essentially zero content...
The only hard number mentioned is 1 mmbpd, an increase of ~600,000 bpd that Rosneft plans to export to China over the next "few years". The bulk of Russian oil is in Western Siberia, a long way from any infrastructure that will get it to China...
The great Russian gas fields are in the north far from any East coast LNG plant or pipeline heading anywhere near India.. The Indian thing is small potatos....
Couldn't they just ship the oil by rail? East through the Trans-Siberian and then down into China?
Probably at a cost of $15-25 bucks a barrel... Assuming they even have the rolling stock...
Other factors:
Do you think that the Russian freight rail infrastructure is better than in North America?
Do you really think it could ship ~1 mmbpd?
A oil tank car holds about 714 barrels, you would need 1,400 a day arriving at the end of the TSRR to get 1 mmbpd, and do that every day...
A large NA oil train is about 84,000 barrels or ~110 cars, (and takes one day to load), so you would need 13 trains a day...
Given the distances, about 6,000 kilometers, a train would take ~5 days to travel the TSRR which means that you have 65 trains in motion at any times plus 65 trains making the return journey...
Add it up and you get about ~14,500 American style tank cars...
It may be feasible, assuming you have the infrastructure (matched rail gauges etc... unloading/loading facilities)....
In 2013 the US moved ~400,000 carloads of oil, the above arrangement would be 511,000 carloads per year...
A pipedream (pun intended) if you ask me...
It would be very expensive oil too....
Chinese can build any pipeline from Russia to China, faster than you can spit.
Give us a call when it happens....
And exactly where does this pipe go?
In the meantime stick to your usual schtick of fellating Putin....
what is important is the symbolism of the lining up of the with us and against us participants. india, like china has huge energy issues that make the importance of being russia's friend important, logistics aside. the importance of having a friend in russia is helping guarentee oil from iran. the entire eastern axis is based upon russia's petro reserves, land mass and population.
What matters is the actual oil flows... the rest is smoke and mirrors...
Considering India's constant troubles with starvation, regionally, I'd say food import/export is also very, very important.
No big deal.
Wait until Russia sells those SS-300's to the Iranians.
That's when the howling will begin and magic marker Barry starts Art classes.
When the USA threatened to Inavde Syria, Putin blew up and said he would supply S-400 to Iran if America attacked Illegally another nation on the hit list. Even S-300 with the more modern upgrades is a weapon of some potential to degrade Israel's America Air Force. My favorite time is coming up, where I fork over my wages and small business income to Washington so they can send it to Israel for weapons. I love working for the man, the Israeli man.
Russia has the US by the balls.
Obama killed NASA and now paying Putin $71 million for a rocket ride.
http://www.csmonitor.com/Science/2014/0325/Despite-US-Russia-tensions-sp...
Obama and Biden can you say pretty please to Putin?
no question Barry is a stupid lame fucker, but China is broke - if Russia wants to get paid, they are better off with Europe
by like a good fucking Commie, Pig Putin is trying to play games with an empty wallet
ugly ending pending
China is clearly not broke. A few speculators will get spanked, taking losses on margin, but they are the wealthy.
The poor were still poor, no real change, just more of them.
China's got vast natural resources, the only question is how many people will try to use them, what will the impact be economically, ecologically.
When pollution's so bad entire cities need to stop so people can breathe it's serious enough you can't ignore ecology & it's not being an "enviro-nut". Smog is inside the skyscrapers, it's that bad.
Putin? Empty wallet? Doesn't look like it. The Ruble may be worth shit but Russia's got weapons, natural resources & apparently strategic prowess so until someone comes along who can match on all counts, I see no change to the current situation.
Worth re-watching 'The Right Stuff' and how important the US felt at that time the need to stay ahead of the Russians. Now the only countries capable of putting a man in space are Russia and China - either of which could wipe out our command-and-control and navigation satellites whenever they want.
Who haven't we alienated? We are getting in deep. It's even a bit scary if one applies thought. I look at it this way: we have outsourced our entire economy. Our very existence. Now, we make all those we depend upon hate us?
Who is running this shit show?
We have not outsourced our entire economy. Really we don't have to depend on overseas sources for many things. Even Rare earth elements can be sourced in the USA. again. I understand your frustration, but really who cares if they like us. I only care that they fear us.
I Hope the Germans have enough solar panels to keep themselves warm next winter.
LOL, Putin knows he's in complete control.
Welfare king Obama knows he's running on empty as more job losses and entitlements increase.
India has the mid-level engineering and manufacturing capacity to produce better quality than does Russia,
so both countries could benefit from trade of products for fuel.
I recommend that India not trade with Russia in gold for the main reason that gas and petroleum will be used
up in minutes, whereas its gold could be gone forever.
Gold should only be traded for long-lived assets such as land, mines and waterways, and never offered as
colateral for loans from international banks.
The Western bankers who let the East take Western gold in trade for bonds and other paper should be hanged,
but it is too late.
.... and best of all, "The US Market" loves it..... Goldiloks and NO Bears bitchez, pass the gas.
When the going gets tough, the DOW tacs on another 100.
But those evils Russians talked nasty about gays - surely they are barbarians who still cherish barbaric relics
talk about orwellian. you are only civilized if you like to take it up the exit ramp.
In what currency will this oil be traided?
Racketeers will see to it that Vlad produces and sells at a loss for as long as it takes.
A myriad of economic advantages emerge for the west, thus allowing them to kick the can a little further.
There is plenty of incentive for Vlad to peddle as much oil & gas as is possible in the next decade. First of all, the world is awash in natural gas even while the world is turning more to alternative energy sources for an increasing percentage of their needs. But the most important detail is Vlad will never be as much the beneficiary of Russian oil and gas as he is today. In time the people of Russia will grow weary of this pocket-sized dictator, and that will lead to the end of his reign. If he manages to control things as the puppetmaster for a while thereafter, better for him. But if an unfriendly should cease power, Vlad may need to beat a hasty retreat with his billions in tow.
RIP USA
It was great while it lasted-or maybe not.
That's a perfect example of Shanghai Cooperation to date...
Bleak future for the US in terms of eurasian "interests"...
pffft. much ago about nothing. 'yet to be built lng plant'....those go up in what 6 months? not unlike venezuela russia is already letting its infrastructure degrade.
also, there is no mention of what currency any alleged deal in the future might trade in. if its in $, no effect. if its in yuan...how is india going to be a net exporter to china. if they sell $ to buy yuan, without being a net exporter--it will cause the yuan to rise hurting china exports to eu/us. china cannot build a reserve currency that doenst trade freely, or base it upon non-petroleum commodites and igadgets. if they let it float they could export inflation elsewhere, but cease to export.
"...that will be the moment the days of the current reserve petrocurrency will be numbered."
