Resurgent French Right Wing Claims First Target With Prime Minister Resignation

Tyler Durden's picture

While French finance minister Moscovici embarrassingly losing his council seat in this weekend's muni elections is bad enough, we we warned earlier, the dismal loss for Hollande has claimed its first victim. As WSJ reports, French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault tendered his resignation and that of his government to President Hollande.

As WSJ reports,

French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault tendered his resignation and that of his government to President François Hollande on Monday, a day after the ruling Socialist Party suffered a stinging setback in the final round of nationwide local elections.

In an effort to bolster his agenda, Mr. Hollande is expected to select Manuel Valls, a Socialist heavyweight and France's popular Interior Minister, as his new premier.

Mr. Hollande is expected to confirm his choice of a new prime minister when he delivers a brief address on national television later Monday.

Perhaps, as we noted last night, socialism is not all its cracked up to be...

Perhaps Hollande should have banned Twitter and YouTube also (for the last 2 years)...

French tragi-comedy....

There is an example of an empire in terminal decline....the french (unless they have some old backroom bloodline deals going on)...they do look good in decline though, one has to admit...

I'd say the french are also the most naturally socialist, Hollande's being where he is is no surprise.

They give their dole all the way to Reunion island FSA, I heard first person last week!

Just like in the US, the French think that changing from one party to the other will actually change things. It will change nothing. The parties that are allowed to be mainstream and get media coverage are pushing for the same long-term agenda for the benefit of the same power structure.

Try taking a 500 Euro bill to ANY French bank and try to exchange it.

The only ones I found that would do it were the currency exchanges and they were not in banks.

Mr. Hollande is expected to select Manuel Valls, a Socialist heavyweight and France's popular Interior Minister, as his new premier.

Both M. Valls and Joe Biden are wringing their hands that “anti-Semitic, racist and homophobe” factions have formed a block of protest in Europe and the US.

But their ad hominem smear tactics seem to be failing.

As opposition to Hollande's government rises, The Independent claims Alain Soral is behind this convergence in France:

“One protester, Alain, 67, a businessman, said: ‘Valls thinks that he can contain these protests by painting us all as dangerous extremists. When I was young, every left-winger was accused of being a communist. Now, to this government and the mainstream media, every right-winger is a fascist.’”

Reports Culture Wars, “But as Soral has pointed out, the government itself is responsible. When asked why the government called him an anti-Semite, he responded by saying that the Hollande government was controlled by Jews. The proof lay in the accusation.”

If the Jewish Semites are going to be anti-White and oppose the European culture in Europe and America, to oppose this opposition and to oppose international bankers it stands to reason this stance is anti-Semitic. Tell me what’s wrong with that?

I hope that Hollande's France doesn't collapse due to the influence of FN and other assorted factions, even though they are obviously well pissed off.

The final reckoning could wait just a little bit longer so that a very large majority wake up one morning and say "right that's it, time for a permanent alteration to French politics" and kick out Hollande and his cronies.

Wait just a little longer, and the resulting turmoil may also deal a serious setback to the nightmare that is the EU.

My congatulations to France for this commendable step in the right direction. Heaven knows there are many dreary miles yet to go, but the French people have finally decided that they don't like Socialists. This is not the same as concluding that Socialism is wrong, but in France it may just be half the battle.

France actually was a country that worked very well.  And yes, everyone seemed to be either on holidays or at lunch but the standard of living for the average person was very high. What's killing them is the immigration of millions of Arabs and Africans who's only activity seems to be burning hundreds of cars every night.

This all sounds like an excellent job opportunity for an assertive 5 foot tall Corsican. One can only dream. That would shake up the chess board a little.

One more myth.

The British press mischievously depicted Napoleon as much smaller than average height, and this image persists.

Confusion about his height also results from the difference between the French pouce and British inch—2.71 and 2.54 cm, respectively; he was 1.68 m (5?6?) tall, average height for the period.

He also seemed small as he surrounded himself with the soldiers of his elite guard, who were usually six feet or taller and had big hats.
