No shit!  Here is Ohio in order to carry concealed one needs a concealed carry permit.  My brother-in-law is a pirtae...I mean a police officer and any time they pull someone over and run the plates or run an ID, the first thing they see is if someone is a concealed carry card member.  That means these mafia...I mean police...sorry about that....has a list of all who have a gun.  Additionally, when buying at a retail store there is a "background check" prior to owning a gun.  Lists, lists, everywhere - just in case a gun grab is needed.  God damned pirates...

Somebody needs to draft a bill making firearm ownership mandatory in the USA with a foot note that says "you'll thank us later". It would never pass but the gesture would be powerful. Its about time we went on the offensive with these idiots and if you're going to force people to buy something i would much rather it be a firearm than a broken healthcare policy.

I'll bet you more than a few of those who didn't check "US Citizen" did so for a very good reason: they did not wish to identify themselves as subjects of the corporate District of Columbia.  That questionnaire is biased and faulty and forces people to admit being subject to the Federal government for the purposes of restricting them to 14th Amendment personhood (civil) rights.

I am Chumbawamba.

I hate to point out the obvious...

I am NOT a rayciss...

The dude's name is HIRAM GRAU.

I mean, if his name was Chuck Jones or John Doe or Lamont Sanford or something, it wouldn't be quite so obvious.

He mind as well be Paul Wolfowitz or Podhertz or Norman Finkelstein or something.

REMEMBER: The goyim (oops, Illinois citizens) have literally FLOODED the IL. State Police, begging to be registered... just like the Obamacare website is flooded with 'last minute applications'... AND, DON'T FORGET TO PAY US YOUR $10.00 in shekels for the PRIVELDEGE... OF OUR BENEVOLENT ALLOWANCE that you may keep your firearm (for now)...

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

OOPS, they forgot this one.

So, pods, when is the line drawn? It's NOT that 'line in the sand' that washes away with the winds and the tide, and the 'slippery slope' is all a bunch of bullshit. That 'slope' is called 'progessivism', and it is an AGENDA that has taken action, and is in the process of disarming, dumbing down, and stealing everything from the people, SIMULTANEOUSLY. It's led at the state level by people like HIRAM GRAU, and at the federal level by those like him.

I'm pretty sure you're joking but if they are American citizens and they want one then yes. I think allowing people to be robbed of their rights because somebody thinks they might do something, is much worse for society than Cheney shooting one of his rich buddies in the face, or Lindsey accidentally blowing away a breast implant or pet chihuahua.

What the fuck difference does it make if they are an "American Citizen" or not.

Your mind has been corralled into thinking that the right to bear arms is a right granted by the US government to its citizens. It isn't, it is a right granted to all men by our creator and it does not matter to God whether you hold US citizenship or not when you wish to protect yourself.

It is the US government continued nibbling on the rights of MEN (and women) to bear arms.

I have no objection to anybody who is old enough to bear arms having that right respected. The only restrictions should be to those on certain meds, those subject to court orders (mentally disturbed or under parole restrictions) and those currently in prison.

Even felons who have done their time should have the right to self protection with the exception of those who committed crimes of serious violence. If someone boosted a car at 18 and then went on to be a decent person then it is wrong that they cannot own a gun at 60?

Can those in other countries use the same justification for gun ownership, if it is a right bestowed by the Creator and not a priviledge granted by governement?  It would be awesome if that were the case...

Fri, 04/04/2014 - 20:27 | 4626947 hobopants
hobopants's picture

Wow...nice tangent there, I especially like the part where you tell me what I believe. The right to bear arms was won by my American ancestors through blood and sweat, God has nothing to do with it and neither does the Federal Government.

Also I only give a shit about American citizens because I am one and could care less how the rest of the world conducts itself, that is there business. I'm sick and tired of the type of thinking you display here, which presumes that it is somehow America's duty to make sure all humanity has the same rights we enjoy. If they want the rights that you think they are entitled to then let them fight for it, this isn't charity or welfare.

If you were better educated then you would know that the entire bill of rights (of which the 2nd amendment is a part), is anti-thesis to the Federal Govenment, meaning it was designed to protect Americans from the Federal Government, which means nobody with half a brain would ever come to the conclusion that "that the right to bear arms is a right granted by the US government to its citizens".

Thanks for playing, have a nice day.

Cheney's quotes:

Cheney has a gun (and knows how to use it):

SO: How does one defend oneself from the likes of Dick Cheney?

(I HAD to add the one with the pretty girl)

SURE, let these pictuary retards have weapons. They make up an extremely SMALL percentage of the population (who, if armed and ready, will eradicate them as fast as possible).

Lindsay Lohan is probably AFRAID of weapons, and Kayne West (whoever that is... he's a singer, isn't he?) has an entourage of heavily-armed bodyguards already.

WHAT was your point, again chinoslims? I seemed to have missed it.

They are currently overwhelmed with CC permits.  That is different than a FOID card.  FOID card gives one "permision" to own a gun but with that alone, you cannot carry.  I'm not applying for the CC permit.  I have never given up my fingerprints to date and I don't plan too.  At the moment you only need to give finger prints if you want your CC permit expedited.  But, that is soon rumored to change- they will be requiring FP's to keep the CC permit.  F-that.  If I feel I need to carry, then I will carry.

Because voting is a civil right.  They can make up whatever rules they want about those.

The right to self defense is a natural right.

By the same reasoning even felons have the right to own use a firearm, although it is not recognized by our government at the present time.

(understood your point, but most people blur the definitions of natural rights versus civil rights.)

The NRA was the sponsor/author of the '68 Gun Control Act which removed a felons Righ to Bear Arms and the whole bill was a racial response against those uppity blacks during the Civil Rights Movement.  It was a good way to disarm them.

Hence my view that EVERYONE has a Natural Born RIGHT to delf defense by whatever meansthey choose, period end of sentence.  I despise those who proclaim that Felons do not hav a right to bear arms.  Gotta love thier logic, if you get a DUI or whatever felony you now are just a victim in ther eye, they only care about THEIR right to bear arms and Fuck everyone else - bunch of hypocrites

Probably a good comment, but it's best to try to be, um, sober these days.

Good point about the NRA and the '68 Act (the best way to co-opt an idea or a concept is to create an 'association' that has in it certain key-words that make one think that the goal is the opposite of the one intended by the founders of such, without giving any other indications.

'National' means 'the Federal State; the 'whole' nation).

'Rifle' is simple enough; (N.) a long-barrelled firearm, meant for home defence; (ADJ.) spiral grooves cut in to the inside of the cylinder (ADJ. tense usage 'rifling')  which induces a centrifugal spin to a ballistic projectile; thus inducing a gyroscopic effect and increasing the accuracy of the ballistics of a projectile at longer distances.

No where in these two words does it describe anything close to a group who promotes the Second Amendment or the natural right of defence against those who would wish to take life or liberty from others (simply the words 'rifle' and 'national' are used, and these could mean almost anything to those who penned it).

FELONS can get 'arms' any time they want to. They steal, barter, or trade other objects for them. They will not be stopped by 'gun registries' (or, the '68 Gun Control Act), as they are lawbreakers.

I like the Gun Owners Of America, personally, and will never have anything to do with the commiesymp NRA.

Try not to drink too much before posting. Your spelling gets all screwed up.

The law of the US is the UCC.  Are there provisions in the Uniform Commercial Code that state whether someone can carry a gun?  Or for that matter, do you consent to be party to their corporate contract?

Without PROOF of ownership, the 'citizen' becomes a 'non-entity' in the Land that we claim. The FIRST and BEST example of the future ownership of ALL... Forget about the 'panic of '08 (1908!), let's create a Federal Reserve System. If you have a state issued concealed carry permit, then you don't need to have a background check to purchase a firearm from a state dealer...  the background check was completed when you applied for the permit.

The other issue is that knowing someone has a gun is a far cry from knowing what gun(s) they have...  those lists are kept at the FFL level (presuming you purchase from a FFL).  Although, the feds do come in an pry from time to time, despite having authority to look for only a single transaction.

Dr. Head I feel for ya-I dislike Ohio intensely. Drove to Dayton to visit some family a few summers ago and had stopped at a gun shop that I would be passing by on the way to the border.

Had a real good price on 5.56 so I bought 2 500 round cases, then had to sweat the whole drive into and out of the Fascist State of Ohio.

Luckily said family has moved to FLA since then.

I'm very thankful I don't live in a bullshit state like OH, NY, NJ, CA, IL or CT.

Now that I think of it, there are quite a few bullshit states...they should perhaps form their own, more perfect Union. I'd be happy to see some devolution.

Can you legally openly carry firearms in Florida?  You can in Ohio.  Florida is as much of a bullshit state as any of them. They all impose bullshit restrictions of one form or another. But hey, if you think you are "free" because you submitted to defacto registration to get government permission to carry your firearm, who am I to destroy your delusion.

@Richard Head:

My friends just took the handgun safety class in NY (state, not city) and the teacher, a cop, said the same thing. When you are pulled over in NY ( I assume both state AND city), the first thing they see is whether you have a handgun permit.

We know that the police and the military outgun any individual in this country. So what is the point of the right to bear arms? It exists for their protection, not ours. It gives them an excuse to shoot back based on real, or perceived threat.

2nd amendment simply means that any individual in this country can be considered "armed and dangerous" based on a gut feeling of people in charge. Shooting of children used to be hard, but thanks to Columbine and subsequent events, even the school kids can now be treated like guerrilla insurgents (especially if they're members an ethnic minority).

- Why did you shoot him, office?

- It looked like he had a weapon.

Case closed.

pretty sure if you add up all the civilians with guns vs all the cops, the cops are outgunned.
BUT if you include drones & nerve gas the Federal government, aka military, and CIA can use, then you're humped royally.

All of that military might, and yet they can't make the Mujahideen admit defeat. What good is all of that trick weaponry if there is no leadership? Just wait 'til people here have had enough and start putting up some real resistance.

The Mujahideen is paid handsomely in crisp FRN's to be the pretext to keep Big Mike in a perpetual state of cost-plus extacy, gizzing all over the place making a mess and causing poverty and unhappiness to all peoples. Or something like that.

I'm not from the US, but i really hope that the US military are enough by and for the people so that when/if they are told to fire on citizens, there is going to be big pushback and those trick weaponry operators might just change sides or stand down....If not fully autonomous by then.

Note to self. Think happy thoughts.

Completely agree on the technical side. My point is that the police essentially carries a hunting license against anyone whom they find inconvenient. At the same time no option exists for the common individual to oppose the obuse of power if and when it takes place. Cop shoots someone - he's a hero. How many times you hear of someone shooting back in self defense and getting pardoned? I bet never.

There is an option for the individual to oppose the misuse of police power. When a douche cop abuses his power you don't shoot back.; just meekly accept the beating and the fine. You can do that if you remember that revenge is a dish best served cold. 6 months or a few years later that douche has his hunting licence permanently revoked.

Which is why nobody with any sense submits to defacto registration for government permission to carry concealed.  Ohio is an open carry state...unless you are in your vehicle.  Rather that putzing around trying to legalize concealed carry in bars, the morons in the legislature should be making your vehicle an extension of your domocile, so that pistol in your holster doesn't automagically become concealed and require a permit just because you get into a vehicle.

Go look at the site.  There is insane bullshit like this:

The ISP reminds Illinois residents:

  • If your FOID card expired, you may not purchase ammunition until your new FOID card is issued; and
  • It is a petty offense to possess weapons when the FOID card is expired for less than 6 months and the applicant is not otherwise disqualified from owning, purchasing, or possessing weapons. However, if the FOID card is expired for more than 6 months or the applicant is disqualified from owning, purchasing, or possessing weapons, the class of offense and penalties are increased. Law enforcement officers have the ability to check the status of a FOID card holder’s application before taking enforcement action.

The ISP encourages Illinois residents to lawfully store their weapons, especially during times when their FOID cards are expired.

I think I read somewhere that any hydroxide salt will have a dissolving effect, kinda like in the movie fight club when the white powdered chemical is placed on the back of his hand. In that case the chemical was sodium hydroxide. The key characteristic being a pH of 14, extremely caustic stuff. Wear proper protective gear when handling.

Read the MSDS.
