The 2014 "Growth" Recovery Has Been Indefinitely Postponed Due To Inclement Weather

Tyler Durden's picture

The outperformance "hope" of so-called 'growth' stocks over the past 5 months has been rapidly eviscerated as they catch down to 'value'... it seems the self-sustaining escape-velocity dream is postponed for now...

"Growth" has lost 5 months of outperformance over "Value"

How long before the green line catches down to the red line...

The definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

SWCroaker's picture

Um, isn't that "practice"?

My own take on insanity involves "gleep fllibber! nak nak gurst!", and a bit of drooling.

You're right, anonymous internet commentor. Obviously Einstein was wrong.

hobopants's picture

Right because if I "practice" violin in order to learn Kung fu and it doesn't seem to be working I should just practice violin more huh?

Peak optimism.

C'mon Janet, zero QE and prime rate at 6%.

HardlyZero's picture

Ahhh you found it!   My Yellen a greeter at The Sizzler.

Maybe give it 5 years to mature or seasoned.  Heh.

Tsar Pointless's picture

Hah. Love it. Go ahead - knock the QE and ZIRP off of my shoulder. I dare you.

ebworthen's picture

;-)  My thought exactly, thanks.

Bet Robert Conrad could still beat the shit out of John McCain or Kerry.

"catch down to 'value'"   I liked that.

I saw a comment on another thread that made some sense.

I wonder if the value, if there is any, to be found in the market now is going to be in energy and pipelines. I follow a lot of names in this sector and many of them have been hoiding their own and more lately.

Are these lies seasonally adjusted lies, or just stock off the shelf lies?

Company I work for had their worst quarter in 66 years in Q4 13'. Q1 14 is looking even worse - any maybe only 20% of that can be chaulked to 'the weather'.

NOTaREALmerican's picture

I donno,   local newspaper and Vanguard fund is saying the summer outlook is looking good because the service INDUSTREEEE is rebounding which has caused businesses to increase the forcast for how many new jobs they might be adding.

That's pretty optimistic sounding to me.

Could have been worse. Could have been postponed because of earthquakes.

I predict tornados and thunderstorms this spring and summer...

"I predict tornados and thunderstorms this spring and summer.."

How about this winter - will there be cold and ice?

Decentralize. Then these charts won't touch you, much. Growth? Got sprouts in the garden coming up. They don't lie to me either, these green shoots.

Working on getting out..tune in, turn on and drop out. Good advice still. Until the violent revolution I opt to consume as little as possible, rain or shine. Don't worry your fascist self fucking FED stooge brain...I do "work" and "create" and "add value".

When was the last time your bare feet touched the bare ground? You are lost in the artificial...charts!

Silver beaches!

did the author say "Grote" or "Growth?"

Well, one thing we know for sure- any Summer can bring too hot weather whenever you need a convenient excuse.

d edwards's picture

Of course! It'll be blamed on global warming/climate change or WTF ever they're calling it now.

Weather you like it, or don't like it, sit down and look at it.
