More Americans Go Hungry Than All But 2 European Nations
Since 2007, when the financial crisis touched down across the world, the proportion of people going hungry in Europe has soared, according to the OECD. As Bloomberg's Niraj Shah notes, the number has doubled in Greece alone from 8.9% in 2007 to almost 18% currently unable to afford food. Across the European Union, the proportion of people going hungry ranges from 4.6% in Germany to over 30% in (ironically) Hungary. However, before one gloats at the weakness in Europe and the cleanest dirty shirt the US pretends to be, at 21.1% of Americans unable to afford food, only Hungary and Estonia are in worst shape... USA USA USA...

The Left is behind this. There are good people on the Left...don't get me wrong. But they operate on good intentions and what feels good, not reality and what is best for people. They also don't have any problem with lying (ie, this article about people being hungry in the US and Europe) in order to advance their agenda.
There primary agenda is to increase taxes on everyone but themselves to initiate what they perceive as a utopia for everyone - except them.
" Hungary " made the top of the list! I bet they are "Hungry!" (God, that was a stupid awful joke to type)
Have to give a plus 1 for your lack of embarrassment gene
Off topic, but shut off the flow of diesel/trucks and a majority of the population begins starving in 48 to 72 hours.
Define "hungry"
Unable to buy a big screen TV and McDonalds 3X a day
Source of this? OECD - repackaged fucking UN!!!!!!
The UN is a fuck off organization - these fucking lumps are useless. When Europe goes insolvent, so too will the UN.
A very good thing.
Unless some of HSBC's druglord banking can subsidize this fuckwad organization.
So we need to print another trillion for wall street executives and K Street scammers!
My BS meter went off the chart here. What qualifies as "going hungry". Just a couple of days ago a Connecticut basket ball player claimed to have gone to bed hungry. What he didn't mention is he gets 3 meals a day of dorm food through his full athletic scholarship. The cafeteria likely closed for the night and he arrived late. I sense the same quality of information is being sourced here. Not a big surprise----the source is OECD.
all registered libtards
The only segment of the population that might fall into this Hunger Game might be seniors. Kids and poor people are covered by school and other government programs. Seniors are getting shafted by the Fed holding down interest rates, by years of under-calculated increases in inflation for their Social Security checks, and by the government reducing their Social Security checks if they work. Fortunately, many seniors are working to cover expenses.
You know you don't really see the whole picture from a PC screen. Yes, there are plenty of people in the US that can't afford food. 99cents is a lot to an older person that spends all their money on rent and gas and can't get out and hustle anymore.
And saying they should've prepared better doesn't change the situation.
Hell I know..........let's send the UK even more money and cut food stamps even further!
It's ashame the ones that can help themselves aren't and making it worse for those truly in need.
Dog Eat Dog.
Hungary, a nation that's always grown more food than it consumed and was able to export the excess that's why under the Russian occupation they left Hungary alone with a small free market system.
Guess the foreign land grab by Europeans and EU regulations has put an end to self sufficiency of the nation.
A chart by Bloomberg - no communist agenda there
Eat less, move more, live longer - how much simpler can it get?...
