Satellite Photos Released Revealing Russian Military Build Up
It's not quite YouTube clips, but NATO has released satellite image-based proof that confirms the dramatic build up of Russian military forces along its borders. The images showing tanks, attack helicopters, and war planes, according to NATIO general Breedlove provide support for counter-moves by allies to safeguard their partners. Russia, for its part, has denied it has any plans to invade Ukraine and suggests that NATO is "using the crisis in Ukraine to rally its ranks in the face of an imaginary external threat to strengthen demand for the alliance ... in the 21st century."

The images released by General Breedlove are reported to have been taken on 22 March, nearly a month after the unrest in Crimea began that led to Russia's annexation of the area. The photographs were taken by commercial satellite imaging company Digital Globe.

Speaking in Prague on Thursday, Nato Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said:
"I have this message to Russia: you have a choice to stop blaming others for your own actions, to stop massing your troops, to stop escalating this crisis and start engaging in a genuine dialogue."
He added:
"If Russia is serious about a dialogue, the first step should be to pull back its troops."
Russia has denied that it has any plans to invade Ukraine.

Unless one is provided "before and after" photos, along with dates, the above photos prove nothing. Even if these photos are exactly as claimed, and they could be, were these bases empty before the crisis? Understaffed and under-equipped? Have they increased the base staffing by 10%, 20%, 100% or 2%?

Kiev's tanks are now on the outskirts of the main Russian Ukrainian cities. The ultimatum has under 24 hours to go before Kiev says it's freedom fighters will liberate these cities and use viloence to do it. I would suggest Putin move those troops closer to the border, for they may be need before the night is over in the East Ukraine. Yesterday a number of good videos were posted of Urkaine's military forces moving out from rail heads towards the hold out cities. Many old out of shape men and many old out of order light APC's some really old large anti tank guns as well. Not much show of heavy tanks, those would be in defensive border postions.
The million dollar question is "Does Putin sit the invasion of East Ukraine out?" I think it depends on the level of violence the Kiev government uses. Enough deaths of Russian Ukrainians might promt a measured response. Like perhaps multiple Iskander strikes on important Ukrainian command and control targets, using cluster bomb warheads. Like when Russia ended the eltie Georgian Tank regiment's attempt to saddle up at their base and join the war. Iskander destroyed this unit in it's base before it could even move. It was a shock to NATO's Georgian Army, and pretty much ended any real resistance. This allowed Russia to enter Georgia, destroy military targets and then leave Georgia to the Georgians. The same could happen in East Ukraine.
NATO has to decide if they are prepared to start World War III in the next few days. I agree with many other posters who have said that this whole Ukraine thing was planned to distract the West from it's fiat induced economic shit storm. It can not be avoided, but IT can be distracted from. An age old tactic of elites, since the late neolithic age, or at latest the early bronze age.
Putins recent communication about gas was a shrewd move to remind the west that it is playing a game that Russia is not without it's own cards to play. The senselessness of this Ukraine coup and now attack on East Ukraine can only be NATO and the USA doing a move to distract the populations.

The US Emperor has no clothes. Make no mistake, this is game over for the US dollar and the US Empire. Expect a devaluation against foreign imports of up to 80% in the coming 3 years. US and NATO are using the media to portray Putin as 'Hitler' trying to rebuild the USSR through military expansion/conquest. The average person reading this propaganda needs to understand that Putin is playing a MUCH more sophisticated game using economics and fair trade deals. I suspect he will win the cold war (his ultimate objective) after Russia being almost KO'd in the 90s, by rebuilding the old USSR as a NEW RUSSIA formed through economic/trade partnerships NOT by war and military oppression. Putin is no fool. He learned from the past and understands why the USSR and now the USSA failed as a superpowers. Russia is the new USA and will be reassembled to greatness through mutual prosperity with the fractured states of the eastern block and Asia.
The USSA has abused the reserve currency for too long and with QE it signed its death warrant. The rest of the world want a fair trade environment and the USSA is in the way. At some point members of the military are going to start pushing back. They may be lower level at first, but if enough of the ranks get involved upper level staff will eventually side with the troops.
These kids have got to be getting tired of seeing their friends and family come back maimed ,dead, or mentally ruined from these endless foreign conflicts that usually end up worse then they started. To make matters worse they get treated like dogs and medicated with poison psychotropics when they need help.

Let's get this straight. These sat images may have been taken in August 2013 but sat images take a very long time to reach planet earth doncha know. Apart from that, not one of those Russian planes or pieces of hardware has moved an inch since then.
