Guest Post: Real Americans Are Ready To Snap

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Brandon Smith of Alt-Market blog,

Despite popular belief, every culture of every nation draws a line in the sand against government tyranny. The problem is, many draw this line so close to total defeat that it rarely matters. For the Jews of the Warsaw Ghetto, for instance, it wasn't until the Germans had already herded millions onto railroad cars destined for death camps and cornered the rest into dilapidated central housing that the ZOB resistance was formed, only to be wiped out a month later. Perhaps hindsight is 20/20, but clearly too many freedom movements throughout history waited too long to respond to the trespasses of oligarchs.

The Founding Fathers frequently struggled with the proper measure of resistance. Many colonials wanted vengeance on the British after the Boston Massacre in March of 1770, but patriots knew that the timing was not right. The battle to rally citizens to the cause and to educate the masses as much as possible on the facts took precedence over the desire to enter conflict. The Founders endured five more years of British government criminality until nearly 80 farmers and militiamen stood outnumbered on Lexington Green on April 19th, 1775 to confront an army of 700 British regulars on a mission to capture rebel leaders and destroy weapons caches. No one knew at the time that the war would be sparked that day, but everyone knew that a fight was inevitable and near.

I believe the same feeling hangs in the air of modern America for REAL Americans, and by “real”, I mean those who actually support and defend the constitutional values and principles that lay at the foundation of our society. We sense that something is coming; a great change, or an unstoppable reckoning.

The question of when to strike back is pivotal to any resistance movement. Turn to violence too soon or without proper cause in the eyes of the public, and the rebellion may lose the moral high ground and the support of the populace. Wait too long, and the totalitarian hordes may be too far entrenched, forcing the rebellion to fight from a position of strategic weakness.

There are those who might argue that America crossed the “red line” long ago and now our society is simply rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic while arguing over futile semantics. In certain respects, I can see their point. The U.S. political system is utterly lost. Anyone who still has faith in the Left/Right paradigm after two terms of George W. Bush and nearly two terms of Barack Obama is either insane, or mentally challenged. It should be obvious to Republicans and Democrats alike that our government does NOT represent the average man, and our election process is a sham. Democrats in particular should be equally furious and ashamed as the candidate they blindly worshiped to the point of cultism has now forsaken every value they thought he represented.

The legal apparatus of the U.S. is also beyond repair. Those in the mainstream who argue that grievances with government should be addressed by the courts instead of independent action obviously have not considered that the courts continuously uphold and defend legislation like that contained within the NDAA, which allows for rendition, torture, and even assassination of American citizens without trial or due process. And where are the prosecutions of Constitutional violations by the NSA? Why aren't men like James Clapper in prison for lying directly to Congress. Why hasn't Eric Holder been slapped in irons for his involvement with “Fast and Furious”? And what about the international financiers who back these politicians? How many of them have been prosecuted for their involvement in the toxic derivatives scandals that are destroying our economy to this day?

No, we lost the courts a long time ago. They will do nothing to save this country. But is the fight already over? I think not.

Nihilism is tempting for those people who are lazy and frightened and looking for a philosophical excuse to run away from making a stand. Claiming the fight is lost before it has truly begun is a longstanding tradition amongst millions upon millions of cowards through history. Every freedom fighter in every great revolution for liberty has heard the same arguments that we hear today – “It's too late to change things. The enemy is too powerful and you will be crushed. The nail that sticks up will eventually be hammered down. Your movement is a minority on the fringe and no one will support you. None of you have the guts to really follow through...”

While there is certainly much to despair in the state of our nation, I find the notion that Americans will do nothing in response misplaced and ignorant. From what I have observed, it is not a question of “if” citizens snap, but when.

With objective eyes one could easily see it during the last attempts by the federal government to pass anti-gun legislation that would have led to confiscation. Pro-2nd Amendment protests erupted all over the country (though the MSM mostly ignored them) with participants far outnumbering the miniscule groups in support of gun control. The sentiment amongst millions of gun owners and millions of Liberty Movement proponents was that we were not going to allow government enforcement of new gun laws. Period. If that meant we had to start using those same guns to put an end to government, then that was exactly what we would do. The feds, of course, buckled.

Rather than take the more dangerous and unifying direct route of federal legislation, gun grabbers have shifted strategies, isolating and targeting specific states they believe will be more pliable and easier to conquer. Connecticut and parts of New York, however, have shown that even people in the most socialist of states have no intention of complying with gun registration or confiscation. In Connecticut, only 38,000 high capacity magazines were registered according to the new gun laws, while approximately 2.4 million purchased through retail remain unaccounted for. Only 50,000 “assault weapons” were registered, while at least 300,000 remain unaccounted for. A sizable number of police are also refusing to enforce registration measures (some out of constitutional loyalty, and some out of a desire for self preservation), causing the state of Connecticut to back off of its hard line rhetoric.

I can say with full confidence that the conditions within Connecticut alone would lead to an open shooting war if officials actually attempt to enforce registration and confiscation. If Safe Act-style legislation or executive orders are ever enforced at a national level, I have no doubt revolution would follow.

The latest hotbed I have witnessed is the Bureau of Land Management attack on a cattle farmer in Clark County, Nevada owned by Cliven Bundy. The BLM has so far stolen over 500 cattle from Bundy on the grounds that the federal government owns the land his family has been using for grazing pasture for generations. The confiscation was implemented under the auspices of “protection for endangered species”. The species in this instance being a desert tortoise.

The methods used by the BLM resemble a militant raid, with hundreds of agents, helicopters, and even snipers at their disposal. Adding insult to injury and making the issue a national concern, the feds have also staged “First Amendment Zones” miles away from their activities to keep protestors away.

This may seem like a minor event, a tiff over cattle grazing or possibly property rights, but there is much more going on here.

Tyranny leaves lasting scars, and each tyrannical act results in an accumulation of wounds on the public psyche that do not heal. In the end, a single event can become a trigger to unleash a torrent of rage pent up in a population for years or decades. The fight for Cliven Bundy's farm has the potential to become such a trigger.

So far, federal abuses have been primarily toward Bundy's cattle, with confiscation ongoing and suspicions that a number of the cows are being killed. Here, protestors try to stop a truck from leaving the area which they believed might be carrying dead animals. Agents respond with dogs and tasers.

However, I believe that if this situation escalates into a Waco or Ruby Ridge brand of event, not only Liberty Movement residents of Nevada, but Liberty Movement champions across the nation will indeed finally throw down the gauntlet. What does that mean? It means they are going to start shooting.  Opposing groups can debate whether this is a good thing or a bad thing, but the reality is that one way or another, it is going to happen.

Discussions within the movement are far from apathetic. Hundreds of thousands if not millions of eyes are watching every move of the BLM right now, and they should be taking this fact very seriously.

The naysayers will claim that we don't have the will to take action. They are welcome to think whatever they like. But mark my words, Constitutionally minded Americans are not going to stand by and watch another massacre, nor a loss of gun rights, nor will we be entertaining violations of our freedoms for much longer. This society is on the edge of something. It's kinetic, or electric. It is not yet quite visible but it is there, reverberating in the atmosphere. My suggestion to our federal bureaucracy would be to do what they did during the gun debate, and quickly back away.

Of course, we all know they won't.

Do the elites want to stir up insurgency in order to give pretense for a larger crackdown? They very well might. But it is transparent in the way they try to mitigate dissent and offer placation that they do not want a rebellion larger than they can manage. I think it is far too late for that. I think they've pissed off too many people, instead of just enough people. I think that though most pretend-Americans will do nothing but watch in horror or hide in their hovels, the size of resistance to the tides of despotism is growing far beyond common realizations. And, when this resistance erupts, it will shock even those who fully expect it.

See, dimwits like you routinely resort to anti-intellectual methods to defend their untenable positions.

NO WHERE in my post did I "call for wanton violence". This makes you a liar...do you get that? You're too dim to think, and you're operating from too weak a philosphical position to engage in honest dialog, so you LIE.

Like it or not, mush-brained, limp-wristed dolts such as yourself are every bit as guilty as any political hack is, when it comes to creeping oppression.

You have been exposed as an enemy of freedom and truth. Your words here are meaningless, except to further cement that indictment.

You state they will be the 'first casualties' which certainly implies violence and killing of law enforcement officers.

Yeah I do think it is a ridiculous and absurd position to uniformly blanket and dump groups of people in a stereotype too.  Guess that makes me a 'mush-brained, limp-wristed dolt' then.  So be it.

Worthless engaging in a conversation with someone like you obviously doesn't engage in a 'philosphical position' but sees the world through a narrow prism and anyone who expresses an alternative opinion/mindset is obviously a fool/idiot/hack etc.

That is precisely what you're dealing with here. This clown has been cowering before .gov his entire life. Doesn't know any better. Probably .gov employee in all honesty. You will never convince this dolt that anything less than an overreaching, all encompassing nanny state is optimal. Some people are just born losers.

Wanton violence is the purpose of the badge.

Stopping that violence happens only when we shoot the cops. Period. If you don't shoot the cops they shoot your children. Always. Period.

This is something you need to understand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMIm9ILvhCU the Chain of obedience posing as the Chain of Command.

Yes, they're all beneficent do gooders looking out for our safety. Poor schmucks. You were saying about no knock warrants, dipshit? Yeah better get out to your garden and on your knees where you belong. Suits you.

So the solution is to randomly kill people?  Yeah the police officers who do completely act out of bounds need to be drummed out of the force and if they committed a crime prosecuted and punished.  Also needs to be a real push and focus on strengthening 4th amendment rights including curtailing use of violent force with no-knock warrants.

As for gardening, yeah it is a community garden project I have been working on and running and this afternoon is to turnover the dirt and use the compost we have been gathering.  Rest of the day is renovating an apartment including a bathroom that needs to be rented out so my grandmother's assisted nursing bills get paid.  Stuff that needs to get done because other people are depending upon me to do it.

You constantly berate others on here but I would tend to bet your a piece of $hit in real life and that if you were gone there wouldn't be many who would miss you becase you are such a miserable SOB.

It's not random.

Those who show up and take property or a life using a badge get shot.

Those who are somewhere else don't get shot.

That's entirely not random. They choose. The choice is suicide. A police officer attempting to kill using the power of his/her badge (none of this is law enforcement: the BLM are not police and are not enforcing real actual law) should be shot dead. Every last one of them shot in the face. Twice.

Those stealing and/or killing behind the power of a badge are not poor schmucks, they are Nazi SS soldiers and the proper dealing of the situation is to shoot the fucker in the face.

Period.

They have a choice with every bullet, every morning they get up, not to go steal from people or kill them for personal gain. To do those things is evil and to do them for personal gain is double-evil.

You are a liar, a fraud and your bringing up holocaust deniers is absolutely off the mark as this article & comments has none of that in it. None.

There can be no bloodless revolution in a place like America. The tyranny has been perfecting itself for decades, and it has no intention of going quietly.

Which might very well happen with a bunch of cops.  They tend to not be so brave when confronted with overwhelming force.  And think about what a revolution would do to the dollar, and thus their pensions and paychecks.  What I want to know, is if there was a revolution, how would Washington DC pay to fight it?  Get rid of the petrodollar and you get rid of a lot of the oil we use.  Now, they have a choice:  Put the oil that we have to use preserving the modern agriculture system until shit re-localizes, or fight a civil war.  The rest of the world might be willing to pony up with some oil for agriculture in the US because we export enough grain to cause serious problems around the world were that to stop, but I just don't see where the government is going to get the joules to fight massive civil war.

The more you ponder the consequences of a civil war, the more you realize that it would be unpredictable and very messy.  My advice:  Go on some long walks around you, and pay attention to what resources you have at hand that don't rely on the Just In Time delivery system.

There is an argument that says anybody who works for the Almighty State and enforces its "criminal" laws/rules/regulations is responsible for his actions. The excuses "I was only doing my job" & "I was only following orders" doesn't wash with me I'm afraid. That's what some of the Nazis tried after WWII. That's why I've always said that anybody in that position has a choice: take responsibility and suffer the consequences when the day of reckoning comes or get out now and find a proper job.

Guess what the occupying Allied powers did reintegrate and allow former members of the Nazi party to hold local positions of power especially locally in order to pursue local civic gov't functionality and basic 'law and order.'

If even if your 'day of reckononing' comes (don't eve know what this means) a lot of people in power locally will stay there too after things settle out and they'll just switch sides and pledge new allegiances.

You are either ridiculously naive or have a completely misguided and almost childish notion on what occurs when power does shift in a society.

And of course you know exactly what happens if/when civil strife erupts in the US. And exactly how it will play out. And that all those currently in power will remain in power. I think not. I suggest you read the article and many of the comments to discover that most people do not really know.

I would not expect to see every typist, administrator or floor cleaner who currently works for the criminal government being held to account. But those currently in positions of authority, enforcing or abusing many of the absurd laws/rules etc are just as likely to be held to account, as not. Hence my previous comments.

There are plenty of revolutions in history where the apparatchiks of an ousted regime are hunted down and dealt with.

Proper job?  There is no such thing left in the US.  The proper jobs worth having are occupied, and the others are being squeezed by $100/bbl oil and excessive government regulation.  But this is getting into why the US is destined for some sort of civil war, civil unrest or general collapse.  Local farming would be a proper job, but you'll have the USDA, the FDA and various local and state agencies nickling and diming you to death.  Not to mention coming after you with a vengeance should you violate one of their precious regulations, no matter how sound or how stupid that regulation might be.  But if you're big enough to grease some palms and hire some attorneys, you'll do OK.

Nope, those guys aren't going to quit their jobs for something else.  Right now, they get decent paychecks, have pensions and get great benefits.  Most of them probably don't realize just how broken this country really is.

As long as television is the primary source for the villagers and peasants to absorb information through, not a damn thing is going to change; for the better anyway.  Between 3 generations of public education and the incestuous relationship of TV and politics, the majority of the US's citizens are now effectively quasi lobotomized.

Before the USA suffers a violent overthrow of government via coup/militia/occupy wallstreet, let it be said that the gold missing from NY and Fort Knox is not in Dubai, Singapore, London, Shanghai, Uruguay, Zurich, Tel Aviv, Bunkers in Georgia, Montana or under Denver airport...most of it is in BC, Canada and various caches located across your northern neighbor.

Now, if you will excuse me, i have some chicken to fry.

The pyschological warfare began on Americans a long time ago...

How else do you control massive populations when most value their own lives more than freedoms.

“The United States government owns and has broad authority to regulate federal lands in Nevada,” the BLM arrogantly insists. “In response to challenges of federal ownership of the lands in Nevada, the 9th circuit held that the federal government owned all federal lands in Nevada, and that those lands did not pass to the state upon statehood.”

This is in direct conflict with Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17 of the Constitution.

This government does represent the average person. Don't think so? Let's open the history book.

VIETNAM WAR

There were many, many, protests. Constant agitation and controversy, and yes in the MSM no less. A rather severe falling out at the 68 Democratic Convention.

Quite a difference, wouldn't you say? Now there were 3 important features to this war.

1. Some of the people being killed and maimed didn't fit the cannon fodder mold. The poor, the unskilled, the generational pros.

2. The media coverage, particularly the TV coverage. It seems war isn't as much fun if you have to watch people die day in and day out.

3. The financial cost, which was humongous. Although it had a big impact, coming at the time when the government was engaging in a huge wealth and power grab, it wasn't really an issue with the public.

Now let's add another general factor not specific to Vietnam. A fear of the Communist Bloc. The nukes, the huge armies, the political clout.

1. All mercenary military. Check.

2. Government control of information, especially visual images. No more TV war except what the government allows. Check.

3. Fracturing then collapse of the Communist Block. Check.

Let the wars of choice begin! From Panama to the present. With retribution in Afghanistan morphing into multi-decade occupation thrown in for good measure. The current Peace Movement in the US is a pitifully small fringe that was spotlighted by the Democratic Party and the MSM as a political ploy.

ZeroHeroes have been bitching for what 6 yrs, now? Has it resulted in even one antiwar protest? All wars are bankers, really? Blood doesn't wash off that easily. It's YOU, BABY, YOU.

The real relationship between the Great American Public and its hired thugs is rather obvious. But not being consciously aware of it is most of the game. ZeroHeroes are really no different.

I mentioned it to my multiple acreage owning, freedom loving, too busy tending the farm cousins and they had no idea what was going on. I laid it out for them about the basics and one said they know many folks from these parts thousands of miles away who would load and roll. They had no idea so the news blackout is working to an extent for keeping folks unaware.

Well we know of course this entire Nevada thing is a land/resource grab that goes all the way to East coast bluebloods that serve their globalist controllers, most of whom reside in goddamn Europe.

They are the enemy of this country, the way of life I was taught existed some 40+ years ago. The Elite's servants here will be sacrificed if it comes to it, the Elite don't give a fuck. As far as they're concerned, that's what frontmen are for...and good riddance to them, they deserve the blade.

I just hope the patriots in NV don't shoot first. That'd be disastrous. They have to let the .gov always take the low road, which history has shown is their way of doing buisness.

The system has been purposely erected into such a convoluted, interconnected snarl that it seems impossible to unfuck oneself from it and still function in society. No one goddamn needs a social security number, it's idiotic. But, ideally, if en masse everyone would stop paying auto registrations, stop filing their tax returns, stop paying legal fines, stop applying for permits, stop cooperating with the medical and insurance industries, the results would be quite interesting to behold. What would the result be? An armed crackdown? The food and water pipe shut off? Colossal spikes in energy prices to teach the plebes a lesson? The empire would certainly strike back, but man, what a great feeling it would be to just cut off their gravy hose.

Some day soon, some outrageous act by our government will lead to thousands taking to the streets, soon joined by tens, then hundreds of thousands.  The crowds will grow to millions.  The day of reconing has been put off too long for it to be otherwise.

The people in that crowd will disagree on many things, but we will all agree that the collusion between the billionaire banksters, the war-makers and our government has to end and the criminals must be brought to justice.

Look out on those crowds of millions in your mind.  The faces will be white, black and brown, young and old, fat and thin, soft from years in a office or etched by a life of hard work and struggle.  There will be 10th generation Americans there, but also undocumented immigrants.  There will be Democrats, Republicans, ex-Democrats, ex-Republicans, Independents, Libertarians, Socialists, Anarchists and Apathists.  Christians, Moslems, Jews and atheists.  All joining in the same demands.  Perhaps "No Bank Too Big to Fail, No Banker Too Big to Jail."  Gun owners and gun-control advocates.  Managers, workers and beggars.  We'll all be there.

Which of us do we send away because they're not "Real Americans"?

It will be a winning combination, but only if we don't turn on each other.  All the powers that are giving us the circus unfolding in Ukraine will be set to doing just that.

Yes, the Real Americans will be the ones on our side.  The ones who believe in the American Dream, or just believe in each other.  But people will sort themselves out, like they did in 1775.  We don't have to sort for them.

I've followed this particular issue with a great deal of concern for over 30 years.  One of the foundational tenets of the US is personal property rights.  Many people do not recognize our Constitutional rights are an all or nothing type package.  Once cherry picking begins, the entire construct unravels.

The BLM was / is the agency where any citizen could, by using existing laws, obtain land from the government for frn2.50 to frn5.00 per acre all the way up until the Clinton administration.  All real estate in the US began under the ownership of the US Government but the government was in the business of income generation so it allowed any person who was willing to do the work, purchase / patent the land thereby taking it off the government books and onto the local counties tax rolls.

When the 2.50 to 5.00, (for placer or lode Au claims) became more well known in the 80's, "fairness" issues were stirred by people who claimed the purchase price meant someone was scamming the system.  Personally, I don't think so, but that's besides the point.  The point is, the BLM became a politcal tool to prevent further transfers of real estate to the private sector and more for the use of the politically connected and internationally connected oligarcal class.  Transfers now became to pervue of only the wealthiest of persons, and they of political aspirations.  The common person's access was essentially crushed and curtailed.

The US remains a nation where anyone of any nationality can, may and do purchase land with the deed that may be taken and used as collateral anywhere on earth.  It's past value has been regarded as quite secure as we had been a nation of laws and a respect for laws.  Every time a law is past that results in otherwise heretofore law abiding people scofflawing the legislation presents a greater and greater threat to our inherited / adopted nation's ideals.

The BLM has authority of managing the land according to law.  As a citizen of the US I have given them the authority to act on my behalf.  Historically, they have allowed individuals to obtain grazing rights, mineral rights, access rights, water rights, etc.  This issue is about the rule of law and this individual clearly used reason to figure he was better off leasing the grazing rights to outright purchasing the land thereby also incurring perpetual taxes which would be assessed.  Whether this was a business decision the BLM was forcing him to take this late in the relationship was likely the impetus before the seized on the "endangered species" angle at this point in time.

Too bad, had this guy only hired Teneo, he could've sidestepped all these goon squads and their weekend warrior attitudes.

But he didn't lease the grazing rights or pay for them and that is the entire point.  Instead he did this for 22 years and in the process paid nothing.

You may have a point here in a way.  My understanding is the effort was made to pay up to the county the fees the state of Nevada had allowed the county to asess for grazing and water rights.  Evidently somewhere down the line the Federal government usurped the State of Nevada's previous "ownership" of the real estate in question.  There was some kind of hand wringing that accounted for the Federal BLM to take back the "ownership" of the lands the owner of this livestock and his family had been using in continuity for over a century.  Whether this was a legitimate usurpation is evidently the crux of this particular incident.

I would venture however, if this "millionaire rancher" had only secured the services of the "correct" persons, (i.e. Teneo) this could've been "worked out" in a far more amicable fashion.

I say Bully for the rancher.

And for 140 years his family was the proper, actual, total land holder, owner, not the BLM, not the Federal government. There is no legal right to demand fees nor issue permits: they are not the owner who is demanding the money.

After further reflection, I'm not that sure this agency as a subsection of the Executive Branch of government's, (the POTUS) department of the Interior's edicts should be carrying the same weight as our Constitutional legislative's authority.  Unfortunately, they both will ultimately claim jurisdiction and it will fall to who / which of the branches can exert the political force / will on their lackeys donning the black gowns in October.

We've already seen they can be bought and paid for by what was decided re: the Obamacare / Pelosi sacrilege.

Maybe I just need a refresher course on why having a private institution as the fed should actually have control of the creation of trading units when the US (s)elected officals are so easily appropriated by external / foreign concerns.

Citizens have a right to property that's owned by the state because the only legal power of the state is the citizens and the only financial power of the state is the consenting financial power of the citizens. That state can find itself bankrupt tomorrow if the citizens cut all tax-payments.

tax-payers eat. When beef prices go up so fast they can't afford a single bite they'll beg for the cheaper meat that was fed on desert grass no one else was using. That land is unproductive except for this purpose. No one lives there, no one produces anything of value from there but for the grazing cattle.

One big problem: de-population actually robs the elite of their power. They have no slaves to purchase or use for tools of war & entertainment unless there is over-population. Over-population creates the food-stress and shelter-stress from deprivation that leads to suckers begging to be in debt and the debt-holders are always the elites.

The elites don't want you sick while you can work but do want you replaced easily if you can't do their work long-term (sickness, refusal, anything). The key: over-population and reducing life-span so once you get older you're eliminated quickly (killed, culled).

question, is what the federal government is currently engaged in against the Bundy ranch and family in Nevada the very definition of theft and extortion?

as far as I can tell they made no attempt to return the cattle they "removed" from the disputed lands to Pivin Bundy. does he still not legally own property and should those cattle have not been returned to him and his ranch once the BLM corralled them? the cattle, despite the land dispute are still his property why did the feds not return what is legally his?

instead they simply stole them right in broad daylight and worse still, according to most reports many, if not all have been euthanized and dumped.

and there is no question that the BLM has already committed violence against the Bundy family and threatened more to come, it has all been recorded.

now I understand the larger goal here is to remove, by force, intimidation, blockade and sanction the last private land owner and independent rancher in the area , but it occurs to me that the feds also want there 1.1 million, their pound of flesh on his way out.

the message here is very clear, "pay up and you get a clean exit, don't and maybe you don't exit at all"

this is extortion, this is grand theft, this is illegal search and seizure, this is threats and violence and enforcement of rule (not law) by fear.

this is tyranny.

now consider that this is coming from the same Washington is is currently attempting to impose it's same will, it's same agenda, using these exact same tactics but not against some cattle rancher in Nevada...

no, they are attempting this exact same routine against a nuclear armed nation.

this is not just tyranny, this is insanity.

hedge accordingly.

Bundy was given 20 years to remove the cattle himself.

He can feel free to ask that the value of the cattle be subtracted from the removal bill.

The GovT will be charging him a removal fee.

Plus he can finally pay the back fees he owes for grazing public land.

Those fees are no more valid than if you or I issued them. Only the owner can issue a permit or fee and the BLM is not the owner and not working for the owner: state of Nevada.

I got a great idea. I'll show up at your house & give you a fee schedule for a permit to reside there.

If you don't pay you'll be removed at gun point and your property will be burned in a pile.

If you resist of course you'll be shot. Equally legal to what's happening here.

Why?

Because Reid and Son are involved in the land deal and want the Bundys off the land in order to make way for a massive solar panel power station that will be built with the help of the Chinese government.

not end of story. Nevada owns that land, not the Federal government, so they have no actual legal basis to issue a permit or collect a fee. The land has been grazed by Bundy's family since before the BLM even existed so he has no contract with them & they have no legal right by any means. Also, and very important, the will of the people as seen by protesters is opposite of this so if the BLM keeps it up armed protesters will show up and shoot BLM staff, who are not actual legal police, and citizens will possibly stop paying all taxes, which will bankrupt them unless they get freshly printed dollars from the Federal Reserve which then bankrupts everyone by causing excessive inflation.

Lose-lose, buddy, quit while you're ahead.

Lol. They've barely even got around to the Jew baiting yet, which is usually the main course around here.

Apparently what's happened is that all the fuckin morons who stockpiled guns and beans for the Second Coming realized they're going to have to find a way to hurry up an apocalyptic scenario before the canned weenies go south. Tyler happens to be offering the hope of that for them -- a world where the "international bankers" (read: Jews) bring on a catastrophe, and the only survivors will be highly prepared unemployed white men with lotsa guns. You won't need a brain or the ability to reason in this world. (That'll get you lined up against the wall). You definitely won't need a job. It'll be survival of the dumbest.

All these charts and graphs and complex economic shit they don't understand -- well, that's just Tyler trying to understand the Jew's mind, you see? Once the revolution comes it won't mean shit! Just firepower, supplies, and good White Christian Morals like "defending your family from people with EBT cards" (translation: blowing away blacks).

Too fuckin bad, 'cause there used to be a thoughtful Libertarian / individual rights movement in this country, but it's been swamped by disenfranchised trailer trash.

[edit] I just want to clarify that I don't think this is Tyler's intended audience. I still read ZH for the good posts. I just think there's a sector of the population that finds this kind of shit tittilating because it seems to reinforce their idea that one day, their shitty place in the social hierarchy that they got to from never educating themselves or trying to improve themselves, is going to be turned upside down and they'll be able to lord it over someone just because they're the "survivalist" with the gun.

Man, thanks. There are actually just two kinds of people in the world, as far as I'm concerned: Followers and non-followers. It's amazing to see even Libertarianism can gather people of the "follower" type, people incapable of thinking for themselves who use the concept of freedom as a rallying cry to bludgeon other people. You'd think that to be Libertarian you'd have to have thought through the basic principles far enough to realize that your freedom comes at the cost of tolerating others.

Yet in this world we see so few people who are capable of putting their own opinions aside in the name of a higher principle, namely, that everyone else has a right to their opinion too. And the reason we see so few of them is because 99.99% of people out there are fucking followers and conformists.

There used to be such a thing as a Libertarian. Someone who believes an individuals rights and dignity and free expression are more important than any social argument, but who is also capable of accepting views they disagree with, if only because they want to preserve their own freedom. Ayn Rand was such a person. These people are not. They can't put a principle before their own hatreds, and they're as bad or worse as Rand's villains.

Edit:I'm going to revise this:

I fucking love America. It's because of what America is that my ancestors and me were able to live in a free country, what's almost definitely the best country in the world. I fully acknowledge that. I acknowledge its flaws, but also, if I were given the choice between being American vs. being Russian or anything else, I would want to be American. Not just that -- just being born in America is a huge benefit and you probably don't realize if you haven't traveled the world how much even your uneducated ass gets easily in life, simply for being lucky enough to have been born in the USA. And this isn't a critique of America because there are lots of ways I can do that, and I don't need to do it here. What it is, is a critique of people who think that they're gonna be the next Ruler of Oregon from DefCon 4 or the next guy to run Bartertown, with their fuckin guns and bullshit. You guys are idiots. You don't belong here. okay.

here's the original response:

Actually, no. I didn't go to college. I've been a waiter, a taxi driver, a country musician, a writer and and artist my whole life, and never took a fucking handout from anyone. No piece of paper ever got me where I was, I'm a self made man. I was forced to flee AmeriKKKA when I wrote a novel in 2006 -- against the Bush policies of indefinite detention and Bush's false flag operations that you shits  idn't give a fuck about then, when it was a White Republican doing it -- and that novel put me on a list and got the police going through my trash cans, then breaking into my apartment and stealing my papers, hiring thugs to jump me on the street and tapping my phone calls. I've come back and forth since and been put through all kinds of unAmerican shit at the border.

I believe in individual freedom and rights, and the Constitutional Republic I was born into, which has since been absolutely destroyed by totalitarian shitheads. The problem is, people with your mentality are actually just feeding those shitheads. You're as bad as those shitheads. In fact I would rather see the current shitheads run the country than see your fuckin inbred idiot breed run it.

Hope that makes it clear.

You're an idiot. This is insight. To understand how markets move which are rigged by the mafia you have to understand how the mafia operates & this is how they do it. You completely do not understand, whatsoever, that how property is stolen & repurposed by corporations & government is entirely the operation of the rigged markets outside of printing money and balance-sheet fraud. You can't ignore either and get an honest picture.

This activity affects energy prices, jobs, government graft and grifting, and it also affects loans, fraud on loans, subsidies, jobs lost to taxes taken to pay for subsidies and when it happens in other nations FROM America it affects military budgets & insurgency which leads to wars, sometimes covert, sometimes not.

You still think this isn't insightful? You want some humble pie to go with that crow you're eating?

I'm not even American or in America and I can see this plain as day. How it concerns me is if my government replicates any successes of the cor-pirate mafia there and/or if beef prices are affected in Canada because of market contracts trading beef which includes American beef, such as beef from Cliven Bundy's ranch.

It's all tied together.

Might I suggest smoked paprika and a lemon wedge with your humble pie. Not necessary but it makes it a little more palatable.

Here are my thoughts.  I'm a college educated 36 year old, who was indoctrinated by the powers that be, from a very early age.  Although I was always thought myself as a "Conservative", I never really understood why or what I actually stood for.  Fast forward to 2008 and with the help of Dr, Ron Paul, the National Inflation Association, and many others, I woke up.  I started to understand the concept of real money, and it snow balled from there. Many people here understand how quicky new doors and pandora boxes open, once your eyes are truely opened.  I became disgusted with the current "leaders" and America's direction. I bought a gun, I bought another gun and another, and another, I bought ammo (lots), I moved to Texas.  I felt alone and outnumbered, people called me crazy.  Then a funny thing happened about a year or so ago, people started the topic of conversation of the collapse, before I even brought it up.  I knew more people were starting to understand what I did in 2008.  I thought to myself, time for a peaceful resolution to this was growing short.  All it takes is 10-20% to start something and the numbers were/are growing.  We needed a spark to unite us.  Well, this is it.

Listen, there are millions of people like me, and we will not be pushed around.  I have been preparing for the inevitable for many years now.  It will be tough and many sacrifices will have to be made. Many from the armed forces will defect.  New people are waking up everyday because they now have the time to actually find out why these things are happening.  God bless Bundy and all the supports there.  I'm sure it will be coming to an area by me soon enough, and I will be ready.  People that are so quick to dismiss us, or our ability, both mental and physical, are going to be sadly mistaken.  Join or Die.

Fuck that. Reid is feeling the heat like the summer sun at noon! Obama has probably told him they'll do whatever is necessary to try and save Reid any embarrassment. We must demand his resignation, now!  Simply saying, I'm sorry, will not work anymore.  The cat is out of the bag. Treasonous scum!

Reid's gotta go. Same thing for Boxer, Pelosi, Feinstein and about 500+ more and that's only at the federal level.

Excellent post! I'm very similar except I'm 40 and chose Ohio. I've noticed that some very leftist friends have switched side and chosen a more pro liberty stance whilst calling bullshit in the left/right paradigm. More people are bringing this topic up because they are interested. I'm getting as educated in all fronts as possible. I'm right there with you covering your six if only digitally.

We need to abolish the BLM, EPA, etc....  It's time that our State politians get off their ass and do their jobs.  The states granted the Federal Government powers, the States can take back the additional powers that the bloated Feds grabbed.

This has gone on too far.  It's time the BS stops.

If/when all Americans discover the truth and allow themselves to accept the truth about 9/11 then perhaps we may see a societal breakdown.  I suspect it may occur.

A decent personal plan regarding how one might leave the country for safer domicile is encouraged. Give due consideration to the fact that Americans will be despised around the world even more, and Canada is  freezing ass cold.

Where will you go when shtf?

I suggest we Canadians start a propaganda campaign every winter sharing pictures of snow up to the top of telephone poles and burying cars. We don't want asshole Americans moving to our side where we have sanity. We'll share the real truth with those Americans who have proven not to be assholes. Most Americans look damn insane to us Canadians.

Where to start?

Well first off this event is stagged. This is obvious. TPTB are front runnung the revolution in a setting of thier choosing.

Snippers will be shooting at both BLM and protesters. Then they can start the roundups. To save the turtles.

What they are trying to avoid is the regular honest hard working folks catching on. Because if they ever do catch on these folks will stop working. This world runs on the theft of the honest labor. If they stop working tptb will try to force them back to work fast and hard. Fear and panic would set in. This does not favor tptb.

It comes down to two groups if we play it right. The honest and the not. The not dont play by any rules. They are smart and have better information. They can will and do lie, cheat, steal and murder. We honest folks will need to take a different tactic. Use the truth not force. Let our efforts go there. Instead of working just start telling the truth. Call out all the bullshit. Let them find a solution that works for the honest people. They know what we want but they would rather simply trick us all as they have in the past. Dont fall for it. Let them dangle until they do what we honest folks demand. Justice equal and fair out in the open.

Many will starve and die. Many will be killed either way. But we must all die anyway. So we are facing the choice of how we die. As simple honest and free or as cattle.

A wise person said to me. The meek shall not inherit the earth. That is the tower of babble. The modest will. Its the modest hard working honest folks that make all things work. We need to make sure these are the last ones standing.

Sorry folks it will not happen in our lifetimes. That does not change anything. We need more honesty. We can all start with ourselves. Then we can teach our children. The truth is the sharpest tool that can be.

It's over, supposedly,  but, there was a precedent for the feds reaction. It's called the Montana Promise, - http://tech.mit.edu/V116/N16/militia.16w.html - that if feds kill innocents or declare martial law, it goes down Country-wide

Beef prices hit 27 year high.

Where's the fucking article on ZH?

http://www.kwtx.com/news/business/headlines/Beef-Prices-Reach-27-Year-Hi...

LUBBOCK (April 12, 2014) The highest beef prices since 1987 are pinching the pocketbooks of home cooks and restaurant owners, alike.

A dwindling number of cattle and growing export demand have tightened the supply and pushed the average retail cost of fresh beef to $5.28 a pound in February, 24 cents higher than the month before.

Prices likely will stay high for a couple of years as cattle producers start to rebuild their herds.

Those in the in the Southwest and Midwest will need enough rain to replenish parched pastures.

Some shoppers are turning to chicken or pork, although those prices are on the rise as well.

Some independent restaurants have hiked their menu prices or switched to smaller steaks.

An economics professor says chain restaurants combat the price spike by buying in bulk.

Apparently, this thing is about Harry Reid conspiring with turtles and the Chinese on a self-enriching solar energy project.

And he's sold out his own constituents to do it.

He is willing to kill Americans to do it.

That is some seriously repugnant shit.

It is time to flush Reid and force him to work an honest day.

Harry has no need and never will "work an honest day", flushed or not.

Water rights figure in big time. The solar project is just the lands surface.

The zombies on TWD are slow, sluggish, poorly organized, and don't cooperate with each other all that much. Each seems to be out for itself.

Sounds like Harry Reid and his 534 pals.
