Why The Standoff At The Bundy Ranch Is A Very Big Deal

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Michael Krieger of The Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

If you haven’t been following the unfolding drama at the Bundy Ranch about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas you need to start now. The escalating confrontation between irate local residents and federal agents of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has the potential to take a very dangerous turn for the worse at any moment, as hundreds of militia members from states across the country are expected to descend upon the area and make a stand with 67-year-old Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy.

Before I get into any sort of analysis about what this means within the bigger picture of American politics and society, we need a little background on the situation. The saga itself has been ongoing for two decades and the issue at hand is whether or not Mr. Bundy can graze his 900 head of cattle on a particular section of public lands in Clark County. Cliven Bundy has been ordered to stop on environmental grounds to protect the desert tortoise, but he has stood his ground time and time again. As a result, the feds have now entered the area and are impounding his cattle. According to CNN, Between Saturday and Wednesday, contracted wranglers impounded a total of 352 cattle. The Bundy family, as well as a variety of local residents have already had confrontations with the BLM agents. Tasers have been used and some minor injuries reported. Most significantly, militia members from across the country have already descended upon the area and it seems possible that hundreds may ultimately make it down there.

To me, the argument of who is right and who is wrong in this situation is the least interesting part of the story. I have noted time and time again that the feds are becoming increasingly out of control and belligerent to American citizens. We know the stories (think Aaron Swartz) and we know the overall trend trend. However, the reason the Bundy Ranch confrontation is so interesting, is that for whatever reason this particular incident seems to be striking a chord of dissent. It is often times the most random, unforeseen and innocuous things that spark social/political movements. This standoff has it all.

From CBS News:

LAS VEGAS (CBS Las Vegas/AP) — Militia groups are rallying behind a rancher whose cattle are being seized by the federal government.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that two militia members from Montana and one from Utah have arrived at Cliven Bundy’s ranch.

“We need to be the barrier between the oppressed and the tyrants,” Ryan Payne of the West Mountain Rangers told the Review-Journal. “Expect to see a band of soldiers.”

Payne said that militias from New Hampshire, Texas and Florida are likely to join and stand with Bundy and stay at his ranch.

“They all tell me they are in the process of mobilizing as we speak,” Payne told the Review-Journal, adding that hundreds of militia members are expected.

Lawmakers are adding their voices into the fray, criticizing the federal cattle roundup fought by Cliven Bundy who claims longstanding grazing rights on remote public rangeland about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas.

Sen. Dean Heller of Nevada said he told new U.S. Bureau of Land Management chief Neil Kornze in Washington, D.C., that law-abiding Nevadans shouldn’t be penalized by an “overreaching” agency.

Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval pointed earlier to what he called “an atmosphere of intimidation,” resulting from the roundup and said he believed constitutional rights were being trampled.

The fact that a U.S. Senator and the Governor are publicly coming out agains the feds is in my opinion a very big deal and may signal the beginning of a true fracturing in the social fabric. Something that I have been expecting for many years.

Heller said he heard from local officials, residents and the Nevada Cattlemen’s Association and remained “extremely concerned about the size of this closure and disruptions with access to roads, water and electrical infrastructure.”

The federal government has shut down a scenic but windswept area about half the size of the state of Delaware to round up about 900 cattle it says are trespassing.

Sandoval said he was most offended that armed federal officials have tried to corral people protesting the roundup into a fenced-in “First Amendment area” south of the resort city of Mesquite.

The site “tramples upon Nevadans’ fundamental rights under the U.S. Constitution” and should be dismantled, Sandoval said.

People being rounded up like cattle in these bullshit “First Amendment areas” is completely unacceptable.

BLM spokeswoman Kirsten Cannon and Park Service spokeswoman Christie Vanover have told reporters during daily conference calls that free-speech areas were established so agents could ensure the safety of contractors, protesters, the rancher and his supporters.

Meanwhile, federal officials say 277 cows have been collected. Cannon said state veterinarian and brand identification officials will determine what becomes of the impounded cattle.

The kindling for social upheaval has been growing in America for quite some time. Disrespectful and ignorant statements from billionaire oligarchs like Sam Zell only make it worse. The question in my mind has always been what will the catalyst be to spark the brushfire? Will it be the Bundy Ranch? We’ll have to wait and see.

Personally, I hope cooler heads prevail and there is no violence, because once you head down the road of violent confrontation between the people and the feds you are opening up a can of worms that will not easily be bottled up again. In such a situation, everybody loses. However, my long-term fear is that unless the government and its puppet masters on Wall Street and elsewhere in big business change course, social upheaval will prove inevitable, whether the Bundy Ranch sparks it, or some other incident down the road. These are troubled times and they are likely going to get worse before they get better.

This picture basically says it all:

The latest news is a 'win' for Bundy for now...

The gathering of rancher Cliven Bundy's cattle in northeast Clark County has been stopped by the director of the Bureau of Land Management.

Bundy is meeting this morning with Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie to discuss a possible solution to his dispute with the BLM.

Metro Officer Jesse Roybal confirmed that Gillespie was in the Bunkerville area this morning to meet with Bundy.

The BLM had been using contract cowboys to round up Bundy's 900 head of cattle that have been grazing over 600,000 square acres in northeast Clark County for more than 20 years without his payment of grazing fees.

Neil Kornze, director of the BLM, made the following statement this morning:

"As we have said from the beginning of the gather to remove illegal cattle from federal land consistent with court orders, a safe and peaceful operation is our number one priority. After one week, we have made progress in enforcing two recent court orders to remove the trespass cattle from public lands that belong to all Americans.

"Based on information about conditions on the ground, and in consultation with law enforcement, we have made a decision to conclude the cattle gather because of our serious concern about the safety of employees and members of the public.

"We ask that all parties in the area remain peaceful and law-abiding as the Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service work to end the operation in an orderly manner.

Ranching has always been an important part of our nation’s heritage and continues throughout the West on public lands that belong to all Americans. This is a matter of fairness and equity, and we remain disappointed that Cliven Bundy continues to not comply with the same laws that 16,000 public lands ranchers do every year. After 20 years and multiple court orders to remove the trespass cattle, Mr. Bundy owes the American taxpayers in excess of $1 million. The BLM will continue to work to resolve the matter administratively and judicially."

The BLM has previously changed the boundaries of the tortoise habitat to accommodate a development of his top donor, the convicted felon Harvey Whittemore. Doing Reid's bidding at BLM is director Neil Kornze — a Reid senior advisor.

Not really.  They are just an old line Mormon family and were there in the 1860s.  Things just changed under their feet, administratively.  And kept changing as federal policies, ideologies and bureaucratic administration continued morphing.  It is common practice for western ranches to graze between 5 and 10 public acres for every acre owned in fee, frequently involving stock drives between summer and winter range if that is an option.  My guess is that property tax and estate tax made ownership of huge tracts prohibitive and you needed big parcels for maintaining relatively small herds of stock in High Plains or Sonoran Desert country to avoid overgrazing.  That land was originally considered waste land and any utility that was generated was encouraged.  All those wild horses out there are an invasive species and a nuisance to the land managers.  They were shooting them for a while if I recall.

By the way, Sam Zell, mentioned above, is a liar and notorious lawbreaking scumbag. He wants to wrap himself in the cloak of free markets, but like his countryman Carl Icahn, he has no intelligence, no acumen and absolutely nothing productive to offer. He is the recipient of fiat largesse, granted access to fiat capital by the fiat crony system.
I need to hear what Zell thinks like I need to hear what the local street thug thinks, which is to say not at all.

Well good luck with that! When we shut down the Blood Games in Montana  - http://tech.mit.edu/V116/N16/militia.16w.html - no one remembered jack.  And, this wasn't about some $12K in unpaid grazing fees, it was about no more Wacos (almost 90 murdered including two dozen children), not about some free-loading rancher.  People might die because this tresspasser can't legally run his herd on Public land - boo hoo. /s.  Other ranchers seem to pay the pittance of a fee and carry on. And, this smells of a set up to get Zero to declare martial law - i can see D.C. drooling.

Yay for the quick mobilization - if only we had it decades ago there may have been an end to the tyranny. We had our finger on the button but were too far ahead of the times.

Ironically, the government’s program to save the desert tortoise includes killing substantial numbers.

While 700 – 840 endangered tortoises face BLM euthanasia “because that’s the sensible thing to do,” a scientific article from 1990 concludes that cattle and desert tortoises get along just fine, thank you.

RANGELANDS 12(3), June 1990 149

The Desert Tortoise in Relation to Cattle Grazing by Vernon Bostick

Summary and Conclusions

The historical record shows that:

1. Desert tortoises have coexisted with cattle for 300 years in California and\ Mexico and at least 100 years elsewhere.

2. The highest tortoise densities known occurred at a time when overgrazing by livestock was the severest ever.

3. The fewer the cattle on a range, the fewer the number of tortoises.

4. Excluding cattle for many years endangers the tortoise population….

…Like jackrabbits and mule deer, desert tortoises thrive on deteriorated range lands. Declining numbers of desert tortoises since the Taylor Grazing Act of 1934 is a direct result of decreased livestock grazing and improved range conditions.

https://journals.uair.arizona.edu/index.php/rangelands/article/viewFile/10776/10049

ReadyInPa summarizes the article on Godlike Productions as follows:

Bundy Ranch Myth: Cattle compete with the Desert Tortoise for food

"I am going to include a link below to a scientific article regarding Desert Tortoise habitat and cattle/sheep grazing. I will summarize it here, but the full article has all the proper scientific citations to back up the conclusions. Surprisingly, the Tortoise population actually INCREASES where cattle are grazing. Why? Cowshit. Cow manure is masticated grasses that pass rather quickly through the alimentary system of cows. When it comes out, it is loaded with undigested nutrients, proteins, and minerals that are produced in the bovine system. Tortoises eat that dung and can consume far more calories and proteins than grazing on their own. When there are no cows, they try to feed on jackrabbit stool, coyote stool, and mule deer dung. In fact, if they don't have it, they don't have the nitrogen necessary to eliminate unhealthy potassium buildup. The thing that hurts Tortoise populations? Grasshoppers. They eat the grass, the rabbits and deer can't feed and move away, the Tortoise population decreases. Cliven Bundy isn't harming the Desert Tortoise, Jiminy Crickett is!"

“Life’s tough … it’s even tougher if you’re stupid.”
-John Wayne

http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message2526754/pg1

At the same time, BLM is euthanizing about half of the tortoises in its Desert Tortoise Conservation Center (DTCC) in southern Las Vegas, a habitat it “created in 1991 to house wild desert tortoises removed from the path of development and to use those tortoises to aid recovery of the species (50 to 60 percent of the facility’s 1,400 tortoises were stricken with disease and could not be housed near healthy tortoises)."

Claiming funding problems despite donations rolling in to save the tortoises, Adan Salazar on Infowars.com says “the DTCC began releasing healthier turtles into the wild, and euthanizing some of the sick ones (AP, August 25, 2013)…

“Back at the conservation center, a large refrigerator labeled ‘carcass freezer’ hummed in the desert sun as scientists examined the facility’s 1,400 inhabitants to find those hearty enough to release into the wild. Officials expect to euthanize more than half the animals in the coming months in preparation for closure at the end of 2014.”

Unfortunately most of the tortoises were given to the BLM by people who owned them as pets and releasing those into the wilds, after having been in raised captivity, gives them small chance for survival.

Pre-BLM, the desert tortoises’ average life-span was 100 years.

Nevada has a really rough outback with a lot of sniper roosts to shoot from. I'll bet many of the militias have some of those new Barrett 50 cals and are anxious to use them.

I am also sure the Homeland Security would like to run some "drills" on this one to get some practice. I has the makings of a blood affair. With the 3 percenters back east and looking for a fight, this year could get really interesting.

He has payed state grazing fee's. The fed used the phony endangerment scam to horn in on this land. These grazing fees you refer to are really mafia payoffs. The fed had no real constitutional basis for taking the land which is why Bundy has said from the start this is a 10th amendment issue. They do this with regularity.

I am conflicted. Sounds like Clive is claiming some sort of squatter's grazing rights on land he does not own. Sounds like the Feds decided this wasn't OK for some reason. Not sure Clive is being oppressed, but seeking to eternalize some right to this land. And it sounds like the Feds don't know how to have a simple sit down And work something out. Both sides are suspect.

Mr. Krieger, your response to Sam Zell is wasted air.  Sam Zell is part of the establishment and will not change his opinion until he expires or some other event causes him to reconsider his viewpoint in an honest an objective manner.  The best way to deal with someone like Mr. Zell is to note the full quote of what he said and the context.  Then ignore him.  Zell is just another wealthy individual who thinks we should obey him because he has money and obeys the liberal agenda.

Oh and one more thing.  You said in your column: "4) Endless and pointless wars abroad, as well as the destructive war on drugs at home."  Everybody is for ending the war on drugs.  Until they have to deal with a druggie face to face.  Ever had to deal with any addicts in NYC when you were working there?

You mean a "Druggie" that has to "Find" a couple hundred bucks a day for his habit?

I wonder what the mugging rate would be if that was a $5 dollar a day habit?

The Miami ex-head of police gave a speech and asked the audience if they would be in favor, raise their hands,  if he could wave a magic wand and reduce the inflow of drugs by 50 % coming into their community.

They all raised their hands.

Then he asked them what happens to the price of a highly in demand commodity if the commodity's  supply was cut in half.

They all took their hands down.

Price point determines mugging rate I would predict.

I say quit subsidizing the ranchers. Even when they pay the fees, the BLM takes in less than it costs to maintain the land. The difference is made up from tax money. BTW-this noble patriot has not been paying for twenty years. Long before Chinese solar power companies came on the scene or Reid came to power. I say go Free Market. Put the land up for sale to the highest bidder. I'm sure Goldman or JP Morgan has some money to invest. Or maybe a nice sovereign wealth fund (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia?). Then lets see if you can use private property  the way this guy uses federal land. And the freedom loving militia types-they might want to stay home and pick up some overtime so they can keep subsidizing this part of agri business.

The Federal government has no CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to impose fees given it has no right to "own" these lands. See ARTICLE 1, SECTION 8, CLAUSE 17. The Enclave Clause does not allow for this type of occupation! Only for DC and some state authorized purchases for forts, garrisons..etc.

The great thing to take away here is that the people rose up and the Feds backed off - there's the lesson to be learned here folks. If enough people get together then even the Fedcoats can be stopped.

More and more I think this stuff is going on because the fedcoats are fucking terrified of the people! No matter how long or how hard they plan against US they will never be able to beat back the American resistance that's been growing for 4 decades. Not everyone was clueless to the fact the system threw them overboard as Carlin liked to say and those people started preparing a long time ago.

No matter how long they keep our walking dead economy alive so they can prepare to fight us won't be long enough. We will win out in large part because those militia folks will understand their own terrain. The fact the people got the Feds to FUCKOFF here was a good sign!

I'm not saying it will be easy but if you think the militia's haven't prepared for them yet they will be... and the beauty of the drones is they are controlled by remotes, and targeting with satelittes, and if it just so happens the entire nation rises up I'd like to believe that any hacker capable would be fucking as much shit up as humanly possible as it related to both the drones and satelites...

All these things they've created to contain us are easily taken over and controlled by US. We have the numbers at about 300 to 1 and it's also possible, if anyone in their right minds could fucking believe this, that the USSfuckingR may be our Frenchmen of the day! The militia's knowing their own ground is going to be key but if you don't think the full unteethered force of an American Resistance movement would be able to break them at something as pathetic as their drones (HELL SHEEPFUCKERS IN IRAN TOOK IT EM DOWN) then we really got no chance in hell!

BUT! If you're to believe that then you might as well leave ZH forever and go back to investing in your 401k! Because part of the reason the people keep losing this battle is because they've become incapable of realizing they are the ones IN CONTROL and they ALWAYS HAVE BEEN! THIS HOPELESSNESS BULLSHIT IS BEING PUT OUT THERE TO GIVE YOU THE FALSE IDEA THAT NO MATTER WHAT "WE THE PEOPLE" DO THAT WE ARE "deat meat" and I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT. Because if we're to just accept that this is how it's going to be then we are truly fucked, not just as a country, but as a civiilization and a race. If basic property rights are not protected then everything is done for from there. The details of this situation don't even matter anymore because that's what its become - if a community at large has no problem but the FEDCOATS come in to say there's a problem that shouldn't make it so! Because it fucking means they'll be finding a problem in your house next! Then mine! And so on, so forth, and before you know it IT WILL be too fucking late! And so help me Christ i'd rather we stop feeling so fucking hopeless about it because we're all going to die someday anyway so what do we really have to lose?

Property rights, freedom from tyrany, liberty and justice for all - those are all worth dying for because if we end up dead meat fighting for that then at least some remnant somewhere in the future may look back and go, "Damn, at least they tried!"  -  I mean FUCK! If I can get just one fucking person, JUST ONE, in the future tyranny just to THINK about what they've lost over the generations then perhaps I can still beat the bastards beyond the grave and THAT ALONE makes dying for what I believe in even more JUST!

And! To all the folks out there who want to keep spouting all this shit about how we're all arm chair QBs well guess what? YOU'RE RIGHT! But if this website should have shown you anything by now it's that when the time comes and we finally do have our rally point to run to and fight for then every last fucking one of us will be there to shed our fucking blood against these fucking tyrants because we'll understand - death comes to all - but reminding that ONE person in the future of what's worth dying for was shown right then so maybe, just maybe, he'll finally fucking convince the sheeple to rise up and die with us!

Long live the Republic! Long Live Liberty! and Long Live Gold and Silver as Money!

I would also suggest there are many angry people in the USA looking for a Cause.

TPTB being utterly corrupt as they are and have complete arrogance to the average citizen will inevitably create many causes that will see the people come out against them.

And when people begin to fully realise that laws and the justice system only apply to them and to none with power. that the purpose of law is to keep them controlled whilst being raped. Then they will act as if there were no laws to bring in their own laws on the Oligarchs and TPTB.

If the BLM and feds STAY backed off, there is one and only one reason.  And that is the fact that Harry Reid and his son are clearly exposed as trying to personally ramrod this blatant transparent abuse through for their own personal gain.

The Reids have been making deals to steal this land and give to a Chinese company for an electric power site.  If this blew up into bloodshed, the fact it all comes back to the Reids might actually be enough to get them thrown out of politics, perhaps even locked up, and who knows, maybe become target practice someday.

The Reids clearly blinked, and told the feds to back off.

IF NOT for this personal profit connection being exposed, there would have been blood today or tomorrow.  That's my opinion.

I have long said that Harry Reid is untouchable politically or legally, because he carries so much water for the predators-that-be and NWO.  However, this specific revelation might have been egregious enough to overwhelm that protection if extensive bloodshed was the result.

What has happened is even the lame stream media are now aware that their masters of unreality are not as mighty and immovable as they thought, so many are taking this opportunity to finally speak their truth to power. Moar and moar people will be losing their fears that have controlled them and subdued their truthful feelings. They are now finally learning to embrace their truth, and speak it to power also.

Fear is a manifestation of the easily fooled mind, not the Heart. Always follow your fearless heart.

Give thanks for truth.

Its a state by state thing at the moment , certain states are getting the squeeze.

Its like the IRS scandals, the more republican / tea party states are the ones being targetd by the Feds.... just like the IRS scandal but with police force.

I just found this on the propaganda wiki:

The BLM is a significant revenue producer to the United States budget. In 2009, public lands were expected to generate an estimated $6.2 billion in revenues, mostly from energy development. Nearly 43.5 percent of these receipts are provided directly to states and counties to support roads, schools, and other community needs.

I thought roads were built with gasoline taxes and schools were paid for with property taxes.

The BLM Office of Law Enforcement & Security, headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a federal law enforcement agency of the U.S. government. All Law Enforcement Rangers and Special Agents receive their training through Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). Law Enforcement Rangers attend the Land Management Police Training (LMPT) academy at FLTEC, while BLM Special Agents attend the Criminal Investigator Training Program (CITP) at FLETC.

BLM Law Enforcement Rangers and Special Agents make up the law enforcement capability of the BLM. Rangers and Special Agents are located in each of the western states that have BLM lands. Law Enforcement Rangers make up the uniformed high visibility enforcement of laws. Special Agents investigate crimes against property, visitors and employees.

Uniformed Law Enforcement Rangers enforce Federal laws and regulations governing BLM lands and resources. Law Enforcement Rangers also enforce some or all state laws on BLM lands. As part of that mission Law Enforcement Rangers carry firearms, defensive equipment, make arrests, execute search warrants, complete reports and testify in court. They establish a regular and recurring presence on a vast amount of public lands, roads, and recreation sites. The primary focus of their jobs is the protection of natural resources, protection of BLM employees and the protection of visitors. They use K-9s, helicopters, snowmobiles, dirt bikes and boats to perform their duties.

So federal agents that enforce state laws.  Notice how they call it BLM lands.

Looks like there was some precedent already set down.

"In fact, Judge Jones accused the federal bureaucrats of racketeering under the federal RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corruption Organizations) statute, and accused them as well of extortion, mail fraud, and fraud, in an effort "to kill the business of Mr. Hage."

Well, some of you good folks may be right in saying this is just a ruse to make everyone think there was a victory. Perhaps part two is coming still.

It is a real shame our own govt and military are aligned against the American tax paying people who only what to keep the Rule of Law. The American people just need to stop paying for this kind of craziness. PAY NO MOAR TAXES AT ALL!

Here is a note from Doug Hagmann leaking some info from a connection he has. Check it out. Sadly, it sounds to close to the real deal that is happening, and may happen. Only really bright lights shined on this until they go away is going to keep people from being killed. Let the Lights of Peace and Sanity rule the darkness a foot.

From Steve Quales page:

Date: Saturday, 12 April 2014
Time: 1840 ET
To: Steve Quayle
From Doug Hagmann

At 1750 hours ET, I was contacted by my source within the Department of Homeland Security regarding the current situation at the Bundy Ranch. To put it bluntly, the people are being hoodwinked into believing that the situation is being resolved. It is not. It is a strategic de-escalation to fool the public. This source stated that the retreat of the BLM agents and the release of the cattle was actually crafted as a potential plan yesterday (Friday, 11 April 2014) based on the following:

1. A military assessment of satellite and drone surveillance imagery of the “patriot resistance. Drones under the control of the U.S. military were in use, taking real-time photographic images of not just the activity at the ranch, but "identifying the protesters, any arms and any supplies they might have or be carrying. “Mission accomplished.”
2. Real-time communication intercepts between patriots on-site and their off-site support;
3. Active monitoring of internet traffic regarding the coverage of events at ranch;
4. The monitoring of real-time video from the scene.

This source stated that a response by the patriot movement was anticipated, although exceeded their expectations. Although this was a real operation, they also ran this as a test case for future government operations once they saw the response. They were also actively managing the media, in some cases threatening to cut off White House access to anyone covering the event.

Despite this, the coverage by the alternative media began to create a public relations problem that was not easily managed. Note the lack of acknowledgment by the White House regarding this event. They are intentionally framing it as a state issue, despite the fact that all federal response has been and continues to be from the White House. There is a reason for this – a reason that has not been identified in any of the public reports to date. I will explain in further detail in a follow-up report on Sunday, after this source attends [redacted] to obtain more specific information about future federal operations. Regardless, according to this source, the government will take back ‘their land’ as they must to fulfill international obligations. It was never about grazing rights or anything other than (1) “securing clear title” to the land, and (2) further demonizing any patriotic resistance. It is my understanding, based on the information from this source, that it is a critical task to create a situation that will also advance their agenda of gun control and confiscation.

A more detailed report will follow on Sunday, 13 April 2014, with additional and much more specific information about their inside plans and future operations.PLEASE MAKE THIS VIRAL!

If it weren't for the fact that Withholding taxes at the moment they are collected by employers, and sent in to Jack Lew within a few days you might have a point about not paying taxes.

But that point is relatively moot, since most people are due a refund.

OK So ifs its about the /gov grabbing the Bundy ranch out from under them in some sort of big money, big bro. grab then I support the family. How ever IF its true that they haven't paid the grazing fees, fees that ALL ranchers are expected to pay and that ALL ranchers (except one) are paying, and IF its true that a legal court of law has found in favor of BLM over past due grazing fees (not reptiles or solar panels or oil rights or Harry Reid's efforts to open his own personal gay whore house) Then and ONLY then do I support the RULE OF LAW. Not the blm., not the /gov., But fairness, fairness to the other ranchers who pay the agreed upon fees to graze, and fairness to non ranchers like YOU, and me who pay user fees to the /gov. for access to parks, roads, ect. No one is above the law.

Again NO ONE is above the law. yes it is true that many people go unprosecuted. That doesn't place them above the law. It simply means that there is far more unprosecuted criminals running things (mafia style) that need a taste of justice i.e. tall tree/short rope. It apears that like me many people on this sight hate the injustice's under debate here today. Except, perhaps, any crimes that may or may not have been commited by the Bundy's. So corporate cronnies... yep hate emm...... welfare queens.... yep them too.... Question is are we hypocrites ? Do we condemn all wrong doers, or just the ones that don't further our personal agendas ? Hey maybe that Bundy family has some jewish heritage then I guess YOU could learn to hate them too you anti semite cock sucking peice of shit. I say ban your racist ass ! btw not even worth a down arrow.

And it's a hoax. The biggest hoax is depopulation. If the world de-populates the elites lose it all. forever.

The only power they ever had was minions & slaves. Less population means less minions and no slaves. Slavery comes from an abundant supply of desperate people. Over-population does that. Under-population removes it and thus all their power.

After giving this a lot of thought, I started to wonder why the Sovern States were giving up their land to the Federal Government.  Was it the "Endangered Species" that the Government claimed needed to be managed and the States did not have the budget to acomplish this goal?

When it think about all of the State Sovern land that has been turned over to the Federal Government it disturbs me.  And as we see once the Federal Government owns the land they then turn around and rent that land back to the Citizens of the State.  Or worse yet sell that land for their own profit to whoever is well connected and will pay to move the "Endagered Species". The so called "Endangered Species" are then moved to another piece of land so the Government can take over that piece of Land.

It appears that is what happened to the Bundys.  The "Endangered Species" were moved from another parcil of land that was sold for private development and the Tortis was moved to the Land the Bundys had grazing rights.

From what I gather the Bundys Family paid the State of Nevada for grazing and water rights on that land.  This right that they bought should have passed with the Title to the Land when the State of Nevada gave or sold the land to the Federal Government.  The same with any other property.  Any right on the Land passes with the Sale of that property.  Almost all of us that own property know this thru our own property that has easments and rights.  That is part of the Title to that Property, Land.

So, in my opinion, it comes down to the fact that when the State of Nevada Sold or gave the rights to that Property to the Federal Government the prior negioated and paid for rights should have transfeered as well.

What I am not sure of is if when the Governemnt designated the Land as an area for an "Endangered Species" if that actually took away any rights that anyone had prior to that designation.  If it does take away a persons rights then that person should be compensated for the loss of those rights.  Just like Eminent Domain.

Is this the way the Federal Government is attempting to own almost all of the property in the United States?  Will we all be living on the land like in the days of the King?  Remember when people would be killed for poching on the Kings Land.  Or living like Surfs to the Lord of the Manor and owe rent just to live on the Land.

This is where I think the dispute lies.  The Buydys Forefathers paid for the right to graze and water their Cattle on that Land many years ago.  But, the Federal Government is ignoring those previously granted rights.

The Federal Government wanted him to pay to graze and water the Cattle on the Land Nevada gave or Sold to the Federal Government.  Yet, it appears to me that his Forefathers already paid for a perpetual right to graze and water their Cattle on that Land.

It is a shame that it is being prptraid that he did not pay the Government their "grazing fees".  Making him sound like a deadbeat.  When it appears to me that his Forefathers already bought and paid for those rights.
