52 Year-Old French Banker Jumps To Her Death In Paris (After Questioning Her Superiors)
There have been 13 senior financial services executives deaths around the world this year, but the most notable thing about the sad suicide of the 14th, a 52-year-old banker at France's Bred-Banque-Populaire, is she is the first female. As Le Parisien reports, Lydia (no surname given) jumped from the bank's Paris headquarter's 14th floor shortly before 10am. FranceTV added that sources said "she questioned her superiors before jumping out the window," but the bank denies it noting that she had been in therpapy for several years.
FranceTV and Le Parisien reports,
An employee of the Bred-Banque Populaire has committed suicide, Tuesday, April 22 in the morning at the headquarters of the bank. On her arrival at headquarters, quai de la Rapee, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris...
The incident occurred shortly before 10 am, 200 meters from the Ministry of Finance.
...
According to our sources, she questioned his superiors before jumping out the window, that formally denies the direction of the Bank.
"There is absolutely no evidence for designating his relationships with his hierarchy as responsible or letter or message " insists the direction of the communication FranceTV info.
It also speaks of a "very painful moment for the company" .
...
In an email to all employees consulted by FranceTV info, the management of the bank confirms the "death by suicide" and said "severely affected." It shows have established a psychological unit.
...
"For the moment, nothing puts the company in question, says the majority union SUNI-Bred/UNSA. The employee got along very well with her new team, her superior is very nice.
"According to a close," Lydia lived alone, in a difficult environment.
The human resources department states that this inhabitant of Ivry was in therapy for several years. Each describes a "secretive" but "very well known and popular" woman, but "never spoke of it."

At this rate, this is going to take forever!
I wish someone kept these stats prior to last year so we could have some perspective on this. Meanwhile 22 vets a day are committing suicide.
Yeah, but 22 vets a day is a small price to pay for...
...
for...
...
...I've got nothing.
This whole revelation is very upsetting to me. How come the names that keep popping up on this growing list are NEVER the names that I WANT on this list!!
I'll take Lydia's question for a $1000, Alex
...this is what happens when foie gras is no longer served in the staff cafeteria...
You have to have a lot of money to question evil.
The problem is that the wrong bankers are jumping, or being pushed however you want to look at it.
So France's equivalent of Department of Health, Human Services, Fraternity, Egality and Susceptibility to Sexual Advances by DSK in the Workplace will simply state that "She was pushed over the edge."
maniacal laughter... get it, pushed over the edge... suicidal, pushed... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
The don't have pistols or nail guns in France?
Come to think of it they probably don't....
Her name is Lydia Rodarte-Quayle, and she guest-starred on Breaking Bad.
They always use that 'was going to therapy for some mood disorder crap' whenever they knock off the ladies, cause nobody will buy the she used a nailgun on herself. I am though waiting for the one where she ran herself repeatedly under the sewing machine untill she exanguinated via 1000 little holes.
When are we going to see Blankfein on the list or Dimon? Ohh, yeah the same reason why Corzine is in jail.... never mind.
another in-therapy bite the dust...
can't we at least show some emotion for her, no?
John Prine, Donald and Lydia

Her superiors swear she jumped. In other news, nobody else questioned her superiors, nor will they ever again.
Means nothing, unless minutes before jumping she was on a three way phone call with Yellen and Draghi. Then we got action.
Banking, government, military, war...it's all intertwined.
F@ck with the banks and you get the 800lb gorrilla on you.
All Wars are Bankers Wars

Tyler is really going off the reservation with this banker death thing. Wow 14 have died this year OMG
Mentally unbalanced woman jumps to her death after speaking with her colleagues, yep, clearly they pushed her!
"vattt you are you going to tell the public about our <insert random well-tread banker crime here>, no way sister, that'd be the end of us! Out zee window!"
French baker jumps off the Bred building...,
oh, wait...
oh those japanese, for a minute they have the yen valued in a way they could buy america on the cheap, then, they fall, and over 1,000 of the banker Japanese commit suicide. Only there, they were forced to write suicide letters. One very high level guy who was asked by the govt to take charge, was suicided with letter of course, and the neighbors heard through the paper walls, him crying and pleading. But, he had to go I suppose, no big inquiry to all that, or, a number of other Japan related issues. There must have been some serious opposition in Japan to the west built into the japanese men culture around ww2, all I can figure as to why about 80 Japanese cities were -Firebombed- . Dresden times 80. Not to mention that amazing targetting that happened at Hiroshima. They have to obey or else. Same with us.

Shit, you sound like that Catholic Papal-apologist who used to post here! Francis... Francis someone...
1) THE BANK said that she was 'mentally unbalanced'.
2) YOU TRUST their statements, and BANKS NEVER make mistakes (or start wars).
THERFORE, simple one, YOU are the one who is IMBALANCED.
YOU never DID grasp the concept of TYLER DURDEN, did you?
I AM TYLER.
Of course, WB7, and Testosterone Pit, and GoldCore, and George Washington, and Pheonix capital, and Botox, and Reggie Middleton, and some others like us (them) make up 'TYLER', you stupid, misled, gullible little twat. They like to be referred to as 'THE TYLERS', you frigging MORON.
HEY... It's the FIGHT CLUB here, and you are too stupid to realize that you have signed on for a few comments.
The death by several wounds to the back of the head at close range by a shotgun was determined to be a SUICIDE, by the OFFICIAL INVESTIGATION. I DID, NOT, HAVE, SEX with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky. I have been authorized to assure you that there is NO, REASONABLE, CAUSE for alarm. I'm from the GOVERNMENT, and I'm here to HELP. Mobile weapons labs have been discovered by satellite imagery. Lacking a pure impetuous, the realization of our goals cannot be achieved, short of another 'Pearl harbor' event. (Sorry, this last paraphrased statement is somewhat 'off subject', but it is contained in page 78 of the PNAC 'Rebuilding America's Defences' document, on the PDF version of the file that I DOWNLOADED toremind fuckers like 'James-Cole' that the WORLD is AWARE of what is happening, even though this evil fuck thinks it is all 'in the dark', or 'OCCULT').
YOU fucking sociopathic MORON! YOU actually TRUST the statement of the BANK that she happened to 'SUICIDE' from? let me QUOITE your pathetic defence of those oligarcical BASTARDS:
"Mentally unbalanced woman jumps to her death after speaking with her colleagues, yep, clearly they pushed her!"
Say, I promise that i won't come in your mouth, Jimmy. NO, it won't hurt when I put it in. I'll just put the TIP in. NO, you aren't getting fucked in the ass. WAIT, you did, but since I wore a condom and didn't come inside you, you are NOT a faggot for liking the way your MIND is getting FUCKED (like my dick feels inside you).
I don't suppose you would care to retract and re-think your inane and juvenile puerile statement at this time. After all, bankers OFTEN jump from tall buildings after having disagreements with the ones who OWN THEM (oops, I mean, the people that they trust and work for). MENAL IMBALACES are OFTEN the result of a sudden fit of CONSCIENCE, aren't they, you fucking murderous BASTARD? The BANK she WORKED FOR said so, after all, and THEY are HONEST as the day is LONG, aren't they, you pathetic MINION?
Gee, maybe next time, I'll tell you how I REALLY feel, you stupid little girlie fuck.
If you enter this contest NOW, I'll personally send you two tickets to the Bohemian Grove! MEET the ELITE, and witness the 'Creamation Of Care', as the Moloch Owl-worshippers decry CONSCIENCE, in favor of The Lie that they think is 'TRUTH'! ACT NOW, you worthless eater, before the offer EXPIRES (like they are doing to YOU).
Damn.
I think I need a drink.
The name was FRANCIS_SAWYER, by the way. He had the right idea, but not enough knowledge, JAMES_COLE. HE was a chickenshit, in the end.
I'm sure that the my German compatriots appreciate your use of quotations and Yiddish intonations, and the unwashed masses (like me) fail to understand the psychological war that you are using offensively.
IN THE END... 88 million views, according to GOOKLETUBE...

Yeah, I have targeted all those who try to dispell TRUTH.
MOLON LABE.
Speaking of mentally unbalanced, been to your doc lately MontScott?
And linkin park video wtf?
Hahaha. You actually read all that blather from MS? I got through a few sentances and moved on. Reading some of the comments here is like taking a stroll down a mental ward corridor. Some of is entertaining, some have truely new perspectives, and some just totally batshit crazy. I guess that is why I feel so at home here in the comment section.

Autumn Radtke's passing is another mysterious event. She was in financial services too.
Blankfein, Dimon, Geithner, et. al. will not jump from roofs - they will be THROWN.
I hope so! And I hope it will be televised!
Can I be of assistance?
women can bleed profusely and still live.
Never trust anything that bleeds for a week and still lives.
Zsa Zsa Gabor's sister, Eva, was on television (I think it was 'The Tonight Show', with Johnny Carson) one time, and was asked why she didn't trust dogs.
She replied that she didn't trust anyone who would lick her, but not marry her.
They bleed for a WEEK a MONTH, and still live (unless they're pregnant, or in menoupause).
being french, she painted herself into a corner with
a view.

apologies, that was a shameless and grotesquely
insensitive attempt at cheap humor but i can't help it.

nasty blade.
Vintage guillotine, brass n wood n steel!!! I bet it goes for double that.
it will be interesting to see, if possible, who
wins the auction.
Well here in the USA there are 4 times as many suicides as gun deaths. So obviously suicide needs to be banned.
Perhaps heavily regulated. That way, some big pharma company can create the anti-suicide pill. Naturally, the pill will be approved by the FDA regardless of the fact that it will have 20x more detrimental side effects to make you wish you were dead in the first place. We can watch endless commericials about it too. Then after some years, we can watch the lawyers try to get their share (all while being fair and just of course) as they sue big pharma. That's ok though. THe lawsuit will always be for far less than what the drug brought it, so let 'em have at it. Good business!
Who knows? Maybe after all that they can come out with the vaccine version and add it to the God knows how many they give kids these days.
pharma industry is hard at work selling people drugs they do not need...
http://aadivaahan.wordpress.com/2014/04/15/the-pharmacopic-scam-lies-exp...
well, supply side is one perspective.
the demand side also plays a role here.
Big Pharma will never make an anti-suicide pill, because they don't know how. Shit, half the crap they market these days causes "suicidal thoughts and ideation", and those pills are meant to combat sleeplessness and tobacco addiction and anxiety and the like.
If you REALLY want to solve a PROBLEM, you need to get to the ROOT CAUSE.
It is OBVIOUS that TALL BUILDINGS need to be banned, because suicidal people won't be able to kill themselves in this fashion.
1) I, BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA, DO HEREBY DECREE AND DECLARE PY PRESIDENTIAL ORDER, that all structures over one storey tall are hereby defined as 'HAZOURDOUS EDIFICES' as outlined in PPD 123666,; and, FURTHER; I, by the POWERS and DOMINION of MY office, call upon the DHS to ERADICATE all structures over the height of 2 (two) meters in altitude over the natually-existing 'lay of the land', as defined by EPA statute hex hexocanta Hex-Hex (Six-Sigma-six-Six), as duly signed in to law by my predecessors Carter, Nixon, Kissinger, Ford, Clinton, and Bush [both the Younger and the Senior] .
1) (A) the use of any weapons at my (OUR) disposal is hereby granted, under the 'Save A Banker Woman' Bill, duly authorized and codified under 'law', this day, the 24th of april, 2014.
2) All your shit are belong to US, including YOUR ASS, plebes. You thought that the white-boy 'Duck And Cover' shit was all a JOKE! DAMN!
My nappy-headed mullato brother from another mother has already taken care of this for you-all.
Nail guns would put too many people out of work.
Good to see a woman committed to taking on the bad with the good in this new, "equal opportunity" world. Now we just need some govt drone telling us there is still too much inequality and female banking suicides must somehow be made up to a mandatory 50%.
Or did she have to go to her superiors to ask for permission?
Still sounds like the wrong ones are dying and the wrong ones staying alive.
Repeat request to bankers: DON'T WAIT! SPILL THE BEANS NOW, EVERYWHERE!
Or could it be possible that they don't even understand what beans they have until it is too late?
"Don't worry about that bit - that's MY job. You just worry about YOUR job."
"Okay."
Motley Crue would never fucking OD.
Nikki Sixx, while fucking overdosed on heroin, Meth, and Alcohol, drove his car in to a young woman in Redondo Beach, California.
He killed her. Her body flew about 170 feet before hitting the side of a house.
Naturally, the 'District judge' of Redondo Beach, Califuckingfornia, 'adjudiated' the manslaughter sentence, and Nikki Sixx was 'forced' to make some 'public service announcements'; regarding his murder of this woman.
OH! The PAIN!
Nikki Sixx was the 'lead singer' of that 'Motley Spue' band, and the story you just read is the TRUTH (just so those foreign to this land might understand the comment that I am replying to).
FUCK! MOTHER-FUCKING FUCK!
REALITY is a CRUEL master!
Sorry dude wrong answer. Nikki sixx was the bass player.
if you are going to off yourself (talking to those who are ex military and current crop) Please, Please take a wall street bankster or DC criminal with you, take that as your last mission. Over. Out.
I wonder if her hands were tied behind her back and had two nails inserted above the left ear before she 'jumped'.
Another coppertop has left the Matrix.
She jumped with a bungee cord wrapped around her neck, the right length so she would smash into the ground but short enough that she would be yanked back up to ensure strangulation.
I'm still waiting for the guy who kills himself with the butterknife
Ivins, the man who did the anthrax mailing after 9/11, committed suicide by taking Tylenol. No autopsy ever performed. FBI didn't want one.
TYLENOL!!!! Suspicious much?
Don't you read Mother Jones Magazine, man? Tylenol is really bad for your liver-which is why i drink Scotch...
So, we can say Lydia's government supplied healthcare (its France) "therapy" was a success or was this a company provided benefit?
Yes, prolly to soon ;-)
Tylenol AND Scotch - THAT'LL get you...... Tylenol combined with alcohol will wipe out your live in no time
I'll take the American Lydia's question for $17 trillion, Alex!
DING! DING! DING!
DAILY DOUBLE!!
Er... SEXTUPLE!!
$102 TRILLION!!
The names we want to see are the ones pushing the lower level ones off the ledge.
Yes, and to take care of those names will require beheading, a stake through the heart, and/or exposure to sunlight.
This thread and others like it suck until we start hearing about Fed banksters copying the rest.
Oh,I was thinking of enemas.
Lots and lots of enemas.
Generic, Walgreen's brand enemas. None of the fancy stuff.
Great, a behavioral flunky.
That's kinda like this woman I know who is a manic depressive and suicidal.
Seriously.
She just got promoted at the county/state/federally funded mental illness center hereabouts counseling...
Are you ready?
Suicidal people.
it takes one to know one. but then again
you have to wonder if all that counseling
doesn't just make a person crazier enough
to want to end it all. i say throw yourself
into the ocean at a safe depth and see what happens.
what also works well is physical inversion therapy,
something about being upside down repairs weird
perspective issues and invigorates a body,
and its cheap.
as silly as this comment seems on inversion, it really does many people some good. (inversion, not silly comments, but that too might be our salvation.)
there is nothing silly about inversion if you
consider the circulatory system and the valves
in the veins of human extremities, gravity and
the debris that accumulates in the system.
thank you for using the word salvation and your
comment in general.
Always consult an expert with experience...
K, you really don't want to look in that trunk...can't let aht stuff outta there...ugh...can't breathe...put it back IN, MAN!!! Aw shit. Too late.
The names we want to see are the ones pushing the lower level ones off the ledge.
No, no, no.
The names we want to see are the ones who give the order to the ones who make the phone call who tell the ones to tell the ones to push the lower level ones off the ledge.
Its like the old saying about having to out run zombies.
In this case they don't have to out run the torch and pitchfork crowd, they just have to throw some lower level flunky from the top of the building to keep the mob happy.
But, just like after the French Revolution, once they ran out of aristocrats to behead, the mob started lopping the heads off the Jacobins.
But, not to fret, eventually everyone gets to dance with the grim reaper.
Yee aint from north jersey er ya? What ever happened to stormin normin??
He bailed on the way to Baghdad.
Anti: because the names that you WANT to be on the list are likely the people who created the list in the first place.

I wonder how ZH has missed this top banker's suicide who received bribes in Tokyo and worked for a large Korean bank but has not been noted here yet. Please include this soul also in the list of dead bankers.

FSS, Woori Bank agonize over bank official’s suicide2014-04-09 15:08
When someone suspected of a crime or irregularity commits suicide, it usually has multiple effects -- the investigation comes to a screeching halt, and people are left wondering if the allegations were really true, or if possibly the victim sought to claim his innocence through death.
The Financial Supervisory Service and Woori Bank are now grappling with these and other questions after a high-ranking bank official was found to have committed suicide amid an illicit loan investigation.
On Monday evening, a car was set on fire in a memorial park in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province.
In the car was a charred body, presumably that of 57-year-old Kim, the former manager of Woori Bank’s Tokyo branch, though an identity match has yet to be confirmed by the National Forensic Service, according to police officials.
Kim had been under investigation for months on suspicions that he took bribes when he was in Tokyo for helping to facilitate an illicit loan, possibly amounting to 60 billion won ($58 million).
Also, FSS officials recently found evidence that large sums had been transferred from Kim’s Tokyo account to his domestic account in Korea, which seemed to add momentum to the probe.
Kim’s suicide, however, has brought the investigation to a halt.
“No coercive demands or orders were made on Kim during the investigation, but (the suicide) leaves us with a heavy heart,” said an official of the FSS.
In respect of the bereaved family members, the related investigation is to be suspended for a while but will nevertheless proceed as planned afterwards, the official added.
Despite the compassion it is displaying, the financial watchdog cannot avoid the charge that it may have put excessive pressure upon the deceased bank official, who had yet to be formally charged, meaning he was still “innocent.”
In fact, Kim’s death was reminiscent of the case of a Kookmin Bank official in Tokyo in December last year. He, too, had committed suicide amid an FSS investigation into allegations of raising illicit funds.
While the FSS takes some time off, Woori Bank is left to overcome the lingering suspicions that Kim was indeed responsible for the irregular loan and that he may have attempted to cover up for higher-ranked officials.

why have they been bitten by their doggy bags?
Does anyone know of any ways that one could volunteer some time to helping vets on the edge? 22 suicides a day is hard for me to ignore.
I'm in Australia but I'd be happy to talk on skype to any vets who are seriously considering suicide.
You are a fine human being - think globally, act locally.

She was "in therapy." No shit? I find every woman that can afford it is "in therapy." It's cool, gives them something to one-up their less successful friends, and best off all - someone HAS to listen to the blather.
They find themselves cured when the cash or insurance runs out...
Sounds like you're a raging success with the female company you keep, eh?
Well just reporting my observations, with some hyperbole for seasoning.
Psychotherapy is a fraud invented by Freud and the rest of the tribe. When you have a culture and belief system that drives people crazy, you need a "profession" to minister to them.
Don't forget the ones being 'suicided' by delay at VA hospitals like the one in Phoenix. 40 vets dead there.
Or dying on a waiting list at their local VA hospital for treatment. Hard to imagine actual reporting coming our of CNN, but this situation is simply despicable.

Not to worry. It will soon gather critical mass.

The list in the article is not complete - there were also that Belgian dude...and I seem to recall more episodes. It´s turning into the weekly bankster.
Notice how none of these Banker suicides/murders ever gets solved. I mean all these decades and not like one headline, 'murderer of banker caught etc.'
You wonder if the cops find out its always a BIG donor to the police retirement fund or police ball, or whatever event they got cooking, then the leads get cold all of a sudden.
nary a whiff of foul play in that circle,
very curious.
Ha-bloody-ha. Wouldn't have thought of it myself but that just about sums up the world's whole sorry state and the expectation that it all crashes and burns tomorrow. Very droll
Yes but these are just the jumpers/nailgunners. Think how many are killing themelves slowly with drugs, booze, cigarettes and diet because deep in their hearts they know they are obscene parasites. The death count among bankers is WAY higher than the suicide numbers show - many if not most of these people know in their soul that they have committed unspeakable crimes against innocent people and that the world would be better off without them.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said for politicians.
Hate to be the one to tell you this, but it isn't as bad as all that. Pols and bankers, like lawyers and philosophers, are the same cloth. That cloth clothes lizards, not humans. No soul there at all. Just shapeshifting scumbags from someplace else.
What exactly is your beef with philosophers?
I rather doubt that the pschopathic movers and shakers ever have a twinge of anything that resembles a conscience.
Try to picture anyone from the last ten administrations having a "feeling"{ for the tax cows that feed them and then provide vast riches from dilution of the currency. Are you able to conjure up even a single one of these creeps that will stop the looting?
I was astounded on how the Teleprompter in Cheif was able to pull it off in round one, but the 2012 should be enough to disabuse any one of you in maintaining the utterly discredited notion of a constitutional republic,
Those that take the constitutional limits of centgoo powers are a tiny tribe.
Apparently, the wrong person jumped. She had superiors.
The good news is that there is certainly more upward mobility in the profession now.
It was definitely one of the glass ceilings that held the fairer sex back in the workplace.
Seems the mobility is falling downward rapidly.

she has 4 kids too; that's what sent her over the edge; her oldest was an honors student. you gotta know its hard raising honors students.
I'm sure it was just postpartum depression. Oh wait, she's 52.....that can't be it. She could easily be a grandmother....granny jumping, so awesome.
I think she was depressed because Segolene said low neck lines were verboten in France on women employees from now on. Some women take those remarks personally and when you have pretty tits you like your male colleagues to notice them to get some consideration; like in Mad men.
Maybe she flipped. Pretty depressing if low necklines are out and no bonuses are in.
Yeah, low necklines are looked down on in my office, too.
Trust me, it is hard raising Juvenile Delinquents. I have both. The Honor Student keeps me alive.
I dunno, I keep picturing it just like the scene from N. Roeg's The Man Who Fell To Earth, when Buck Henry's character gets taken out; two anonymous gorillas in grey suits show up, don't say a word, pick Buck up be the feet and shoulders, and count of three toss him at the window of his upper skyscraper office. Poor Buck bounces off the glass the first time, seemed like it hurt. But the gorillas silently try it again, and this time Buck goes through, and gets a short flying lesson. Creeped me right out, but the sequence has stuck with me as always being a possibility at those levels of power.
There is a special hell for all bastard bankers. I wish them all a speedy trip.
Wake me only for CFO and above jumpers. I don't have time for this.

A double bounce ? I thought a dead cat only bounced once. Maybe Bankers are different.
Exquisite, WB. +whatever you like.
jump you cock sucking prick fuckers!!
It's perfectly understandable. She went to work and the coffee was cold. Despondent, she asked her superior if she could go out for some, he said "Oui, tresbien," so she plummeted to her ghastly death in the street below.
Nothing to see here, move along, move along.
According to our sources, she questioned his superiors before jumping out the window, that formally denies the direction of the Bank.
"There is absolutely no evidence for designating hisrelationships with his hierarchy as responsible or letter or message " insists the direction of the communication FranceTV info.
I'm sofakingconfused. She, he, he-she?
Probably just google translate. "her" and "his" in French are both "son."
Sonofabitch!
Tres bien.
The only thing I can take away from it is that they're possibly speaking of the Minister of Finance???
Or the banker suicide news release template was written for males?
and wouldn't the correct term be "fell" from the window.
"jump" would be from the ground into the building
through the window. i don't trust this source.
r.i.p.
This is what happens when a modern lamestream journalist uses Google to translate le francais. Their vocabulary does not include the words "proofread," "syntax" or "grammar." Strunk and White mean nothing to them.
Sorry, I am not sure if it makes sense to keep that list up and running.
How many people work in banking and is this number really that high?
An average suicide rate of 10 to 20 per 100'000 every year should be considered normal (hate to quote Wikipedia, but here it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_suicide_rate)
And why would bankers kill themselves more than in the past years? Conscience? I don't think so.
I'm not the red arrow guy, but what is the suicide rate among the rich, like these banksters?
Poor people have little 'accidents' all the time, but rich people?
The real question is, how many are suiciding themselves off of bank towers?
Who cares, bank towers, river banks, blood banks, food banks.
In France, several suicides happened at the workplace or that were connected to work over the last years. Renault, Areva, France Telecom (apparently 20 suicides in 2009 alone).
Also in Switzerland, two suicides happened at Swisscom (CEO) and Zurich Insurance (CFO). And everybody was discussing about the pressure of nowadays work.
I am questioning the statistical relevance of such "single" data points that are not put in perspective.
And on top of that I am not sure if this is a strong argument confirming something is wrong in the banking and financial industry.
There are hundreds of other stronger arguments.
