Las Vegas, NV – Nevada Senator Harry Reid released the following statement today on racist comments by Cliven Bundy reported by the New York Times.
“I used to live in North Las Vegas and it is home to some of the hardest-working people I have ever met – men and women who embody the American dream by working hard every day to build a better life for themselves and their families. By contrast, Cliven Bundy has spent decades profiting off government land while refusing to pay the same fair use fees as his fellow ranchers. Today, Bundy revealed himself to be a hateful racist. But by denigrating people who work hard and play by the rules while he mooches off public land he also revealed himself to be a hypocrite.
“To advance his extreme, hateful views, Bundy has endangered the lives of innocent women and children. This is not a game. It is the height of irresponsibility for any individual or entity in a position of power or influence to glorify or romanticize such a dangerous individual, and anyone who has done so should come to their senses and immediately condemn Bundy. For their part, national Republican leaders could help show a united front against this kind of hateful, dangerous extremism by publicly condemning Bundy.
“The bottom line is that elected officials and those in positions of power or influence have a responsibility to unite behind the basic principle that we are a country of laws, and that whatever our differences, it is unacceptable for individuals to use violence or the threat of violence to advance their radical views.”

And in doing so, has opened himself and anyone tangentially associated with ANY libertarian/freedom movement up to criticisim from the usual suspects, namely Reid, Pelosi, Holder, etc. He has essentially relegated to the dustbin, if not outright condemmed, any seemingly worthwhile cause of a similar vein to a premature death. And Bundy fell right into the trap. As someone put it regarding his interview with the Times: “He had no idea who he is dealing with.”
There was no reason for the Times to probe Bundy’s views on blacks except in hopes of twisting his words to entrap and discredit him.
As Bundy’s son, Ammon, explained today in an exclusive interview with WND: “They took what they wanted. They knew when they were there his comments were not racist. He wasn’t able to completely articulate.”
In the WND interview, Ammon Bundy said that his father’s comment regarding blacks and slavery was “taken out of context by the New York Times.” Ammon told WND his father was merely trying to reach out to the black and Hispanic communities.
“He explained his father was commenting on the fact that while blacks were ‘in slavery on plantations, now because of the welfare system, they continue to be in slavery.’
“’He desires the black community to have freedom,’ Ammon Bundy said.”
Already, fair-weather politicians, formerly somewhat supportive of Bundy’s patriotic stand, are backing away from the embattled rancher because he dared wondered – deliberately set up and egged on by the NY Times -- if blacks were “better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or …better off under government subsidy” and “less freedom.”
Critical observers say that if the NY Times does not produce a full transcript of the interview, that politicians and others who back away from Bundy because of the Times’ manipulated version are joining in the intentional disinformation generated by the state-controlled media.
WND reports that Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev. already “has distanced himself, saying through a spokeswoman that he ‘completely disagrees with Mr. Bundy’s appalling and racist statements, and condemns them in the most strenuous way.’
“Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., who had suggested Bundy had some valid concerns, said: ‘His remarks on race are offensive and I wholeheartedly disagree with him..”
Frankly, I find Heller’s and Paul’s capitulation to the elevation of ethnic-identity politics over justice and the law, and the deliberate Balkanization of America, to be offensive -- all this based not on the comments but on the NY Times’ doctored version of the comments. Politicians who think they are up against a fair media are nothing less than fools.
Almost makes it seem like it was planned from the beginning. He might as well have wrapped that present up with a bow and handed it over personally to the statists.
So far these words were only reported by one NYT reporter. Did he record it? Did he memorize the statement verbatim? Was there some skewing in how he reported the quote?

Exactly. This is the great truth that we're taught not to look at. Testing at 90 on a standardized IQ test is very meaningful, as this performance correlates very well with life performance. But we're encouraged to believe instead that IQ tests "don't work". Ignore reality and it will bite you every time.
Anyone with access to Google and 5 minutes of free time can verify that literally every shred of research every conducted since the 1960s up to today shows the same results over and over, i.e. that there are statistically significant differences in mean IQ between the major racial groups, and that the pecking order is the same every time. Hell, there is even a Wikipedia entry on race and intelligence.
From a scientific point of view the study of human racial biodiversity and racial evolution (not just intelligence but also immunity, physical adaptations, etc.) is a fascinating thing, and it's too bad that it's suppressed by the MSM and mainstream education system. Doesn't serve the socialist multiculturalism agenda. A good place for some casual and not-so-casual reading is the Human Biodiversity blog (I have no affiliation, it's just a recommendation).
