The hidden truth behind American foreign policy is the US has supported far-right and even fascist uprisings throughout the world, ostensibly to fight Communism. This is a phenomenon that began in the aftermath of World War II and apparently continues to this very day, given the circumstances in Ukraine. The US went so far as to promote a NATO initiative to create stay-behind armies consisting of former Nazis throughout Europe in order to combat the hypothesized westward expansion of the Soviet Union.
It seems that this initiative survives to this very day. The US facilitated the junta in Ukraine that occurred in late February 2014. And our foreign policy contingent continues to express US support for the executors of the junta. Meanwhile, numerous members of Ukraine's fascist right have been appointed to high level positions within the Ukrainian government.
What else am I supposed to take away from the situation? I mean it's not like Russia suddenly invented the allegation that Pravy Sector is fascist. Numerous international journalistic organizations have been citing this anti-semitic bent for years. I can give examples, but what's the point? The real issue is why the fuck the US is supporting fascist organizations that will kill Jews if they have the opportunity.

It just makes me fucking angry. I have seen enough of the world to understand that the fundamental concern of most people is to have a happy life. What right does the American government have to choose the regime under which other nations should live?
I personally feel that the US government has no right to dictate to other peoples the government/leadership under which they should live. I feel that the covert actions of the US government have been taken without the consent of the governed ... that there is a rogue element within the government acting independently with the full force of sanctioned action. It is an unelected element of government which unfortunately speaks for all of us with its international action to topple governments. And at the end of the day, it is the oblivious US citizen that dies as a result. It is too bad that so few Americans pay attention to what their government actually does abroad.
