Martin Armstrong Fears World War III Is On The Horizon

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Martin Armstrong via Armstrong Economics blog,

Russia and China are becoming closer thanks to Obama and his insane policies behind the NSA that have left America trying to find friends in a dark hour. The sanctions being imposed on Russia have sent China into its camp. The USA is finding it increasingly more difficult to be the bully in the school-yard. No former administration has ever acted with such arrogance and blind stupidity than the Obama Administration. The net result is to empower Russia and to inspire a new dynamic-duo of Russia-China against the USA. China supported Russia, when Western countries launched an anti-Russian campaign. With both of their economies turning down, this is by no means the proper time to impose sanctions. All this policy is doing is re-enforcing Putin and placing him in the position where he must become more aggressive or seem weak in the shadow of Obama.

In keeping with the idea that the West/America plotted the fall of the Soviet Union as a covert plot rather than the economic collapse of Communism, feeds directly into the idea that the majority of people see whatever happens to them as a victim of someone else rather than the consequences of their own stupidity. Putin’s statements that the fall of the Soviet Union was the greatest tragedy of the 20th Century is gaining momentum in Russia.

Gorbachev-Mikhail

There is now talk of Mikhail Gorbachev being put on trial. Gorbachev was the last president of the USSR and the proposition to bring him to trial for the collapse of the Soviet Union is being bantered about. This is part of the propaganda machine to enrage the people to justify the invasion of at least Eastern Europe. Putting Gorbachev on trial will be an indictment of the West and further the conspiracy theory that it was a plot and not economics.

The Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev delivered a well received speech in the Duma in Russia demonstrating the rise in power and determination of the New Russia. He stated regarding trade how the West suppressed Russia. ”For 17 years, we were actually kept in the hallway, where we argued that we deserved the right to enter the world trading community, that we meet its standards. Now we have a full right to demand other WTO member countries should observe the regulations with respect to Russian goods.”

The treatment of Russia by the Obama Administration has been appalling to say the least even before Crimea. The policies that are in place and the thinking is so outdated built around an ego of self-centered aggrandizement, it is hard to see how this cannot lead to any place other than armed conflict. I stated upfront, give the East Ukraine back to Russia on a timetable and allow free elections there that should have been monitored. The people should have decided this issue, not politicians. That should have been the serious solution just as East Germany was given back to the West. Failing to reach such a negotiated settlement allowing for real free elections has led to this confrontation with no escape. Both sides now have their backs against the wall and neither will back down fearing this will be a sign of political weakness.

Putin is playing into the conspiracy of a victim – not that Russia fell because of economics. This is going over very well and this is the danger for therein we find the seeds of war.

There is a lot of that in this entry if one has been asleep for the last 60 days.

I cannot disagree with most of the content at all.  I think it's sums up my position rather nicely in a "watch what you wish for" kind of way.

I very much disagree with the idea of giving eastern Ukraine to Russia, and the people of that region have to realize that if they think being part of Russia would be *bad* for them.  The reason why you constantly see oligarchs playing kingmaker in Kiev is because it is a sheltered economy.  If these oligarchs are forced to participate in either an EU- or Russian-centric economy, they'd get crucified.  Factories would close, unemployment would skyrocket.

For me, and I think Putin wants this too, is for Ukraine to remain whole.  Federated across both the west and east to weaken central power enough to keep things together.  There is no way Putin can keep NATO out of Ukraine if the east is peeled off.

Anyways, my $0.02 cents.

We are very, very close to the failure of the London gold rig and it's failure will advertize what the central bankers in the West have done to our currency.

This coup in Ukraine by the US and UK is a desperate act to change the conversation.

Considering this is a Martin Armstrong story, he would disagree with you about gold being rigged and he would also tell you that gold is heading for further weakness (he seems to think gold will see sub 1000).

The days of Gold manipulation are soon coming to an end.

I was listening to CCTV last Saturday (China Central Television http://english.cntv.cn/). The 30 minutes report was in Chinese but subtitled in English. I've been trying to find it on their web site but haven't been able to as it must be in their Chinese language section.

The tone was very hard against the USA. I had never listened to anything like that on CCTV.

To summarize quickly:

1. China was denouncing the USA military and economic encirclement policy against China.

2. It was saying that the attempt by the Obama administration to restore links with its Asian partners with the TPP had failed and China 's economic influence in Asia is increasingly growing while that of the USA is shrinking.

3. The news report was denouncing the current attempt by the Obama administration to create an economic slowdown in China with the objective of slowing the economic and political strengthening of China in the world economy.

4. The report was saying that the "Pivot to Asia" program of the Obama's administration was relying on local political puppets and were detrimental to Asian Nations own interests.

5. The report was supportive of Russia's position in the Crimean issue and that economic relationship between both nations will further develop positively. There will be no economic sanctions against Russia.

This is just a very, very short summary of a 30 minutes nonstop program. The tone was extremely assertive and very much anti-USA. As I said, I had never listened to anything like that on CCTV before. So I think that the gloves are about to come off and the real fight is about to start. The Yuan should be fully exchangeable by June of this year. By then, there will be Gold and Oil futures traded in Yuan in Shanghai. Look at the Russian to sign a huge Nat Gas contract with China in Yuan, not in petro-dollars. I would not be surprise to see China request to buy its oil from Saudi Arabia in Yuan instead of dollars.

It just makes sense. China has to pair with Russia in decoupling from the US dollar. They have to work together on that one. With the Ukrainian crisis and economic sanctions against Moscow, Russia has to move away from the dollar and Western Financial System asap (http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-04-25/furious-russia-downgraded-just-above-junk-sp-proposes-scorched-earth-retaliation-aga). The result is that China is brought with Russia in this move away from the USD.

Ukraine was the most stupid blunder by the State Department you could ever imagine. Like the Jack Ass said, it is the Waterloo event that will trigger the great fall of the short lived fascist US empire. Russia is pushed outside the dollar and China sees no other option than to pair with Russia in creating a new parallel financial/monetary system, (which has already been in preparation for years now. It is ready to go).

You have to marvel at how arrogantly stupid those decision makers in Washington are. Totally blinded by their arrogance. Now, who owns the gold???!!! Fucking idiots in Washington, New York, London, Paris and Berlin. They dig their own grave. Their unemployed and bankrupt nations, corrupt and bankrupt financial system based on paper promises has no chance against gold backed currencies promoted by industrial and resource full nations. The US military?!! They can’t do jack shit against the whole BRICS turning away from the USD all at once. Look at Modi win the elections in India and join the move away from the USD while quickly dropping gold import restrictions. What is the USSA gonna do? Nuke the whole planet? Their hands are tied down at this point. It is check mate. This is all coming to an end sooner than we think. Maybe the fireworks will start in the Crimex’ Silver pit at the end of this month.

There are certain pro-white/pro-anglo saxon forces that have had the cross hairs on China since 1945 or earlier. And I think it was this unseen entity that had helped the Dalai lama escape from Tibet and make trouble for the Chinese. They realised that Iran is going soft and are now provoking the new axis in the orient: Russia-China, into starting a nuclear war. Potus is just a puppet, has been since 1913. He will be used like a puppet and made to press the nuclear button making the Nobel prize committee go 'huh?!' Potus that refused to be a puppet (JFK) was eliminated.

And you are right about Modi showing the finger to these anglo-saxon war mongers. Sonia Gandhi with her Russian connections, will support Modi in the war against the west. 60% of the population in 'Chindia' & Russia will be wiped out. The African population will also mysteriously shrink due to some unknown virus. WW3 will be fought with nuclear & biological weapons.

It is all about keeping the population of certain races down to manageable levels.

One should keep in mind about the mysterious monument in Elbert County, Georgia, famously known as the Georgia Guidestones.

GEORGIA GUIDESTONES

Coordinates: 34.231984°N 82.894506°W

Location: Elbert County, Georgia, USA

Height: 19' 3" (5.87 m)

Opening date: March 1980

The Georgia Guidestones is a granite monument in Elbert County, Georgia, USA. A message clearly conveying a set of ten guidelines is inscribed on the structure in eight modern languages, and a shorter message is inscribed at the top of the structure in four ancient languages' scripts: Babylonian, Classical Greek, Sanskrit and Egyptian hieroglyphs.

The structure is sometimes referred to as an "American Stonehenge."[1] The monument is 19 feet 3 inches (5.87 m) tall, made from six granite slabs weighing 237,746 pounds (107,840 kg) in all.[2] One slab stands in the center, with four arranged around it. A capstone lies on top of the five slabs, which are astronomically aligned. An additional stone tablet, which is set in the ground a short distance to the west of the structure, provides some notes on the history and purpose of the Guidestones.

In June 1979, an unknown person or persons under the pseudonym R. C. Christian hired Elberton Granite Finishing Company to build the structure.

A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guidestones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones (see photograph of the face with the English version right). Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese and Russian.

"But what does it mean when our govt pays people to have babies?"

PT, by "our govt" i assume you mean the USG...

I will just guess few plausible scenarios of those seemingly contradictory actions:

- first of all, different actors at different levels come with different objectives

also different time frame: short- vs long-term

the idea of the world depopulation may well belong to the Oligarchs with longer vision cf. those select heads picked to run the USG shows with short-term objectives of winning/buying constituent supports

- i think we all shall agree that it is not the POTUS and his cohorts who mastermind the world happenings [they're just useful lackeys at the moment] but those very powerful unseen parties behind the scenes (TPTB) who are controlling those gigantic corporations in GMO and industrial food productions; pharma and life sciences; MIC; and so forth.

- the PTB must be quite aware that the finite resources of the earth can't sustain the current overpopulation and its projected growth over time thus they have long-term plan to a much depopulation! After all what's the good point to reign a messy world filled up with the resource-hungry population and great environmental damages and many other cons?

TPTB might at first support for the population growth as the market stimulant and or justifications for the vigorous industrialization and globalization but at some point of time they realized there are simply too many mouths to feed, thus their number must be culled...

\pls feel free to add up\

On September 29, 1999, Armstrong was indicted in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York for fraud by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, for having conspired with employees of Republic New York involving Japanese investors. Republic New York pleaded guilty to fraud in federal court on December 17, 2001 and agreed upon a restitution order on January 9, 2002 of $606 million.[6] Armstrong represented himself and was excluded from some proceedings, leading the Associated Press to question whether Armstrong could get a fair trial.[7] The government charged Armstrong with civil contempt and he remained in prison over 7 years for failure to surrender various assets that may have been purchased with money from the investment fund at the center of the litigation.[1][8] According to the New York Times, "Over the years, Judge Owen would revisit the contempt order every 18 months, guided by the federal statute. He repeatedly said that Mr. Armstrong was motivated by greed and was awaiting his release from jail to retrieve the $15 million that the government said was missing. According to lawyers who worked on the case in the early days, the financier’s headstrong manner irritated Judge Owen almost immediately."[9] On August 17, 2006, he pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy.[2][10] He was sentenced on April 10, 2007, to five years in prison.[1] Armstrong's daughter, Victoria, paid her father visits in prison most Wednesdays.[9] He was released from prison on September 2, 2011.[11]

Fact is, the collapse of the Soviet Union WAS a conspiracy enacted by Reagan's CIA and the Polish pope, who used Solidarity to create the first crack in the Empire, which was then exploited to bring the whole system down. Sure, economics played a big role, in that communism is a futile ideology and system - but the conspirators themselves actively employed economics to hasten its collapse, although they never envisioned such a rapid and total collapse - rather, they thought they could cripple the SU and get it under some significant restraint.

The only persons that would listen to this idiot Martin Armstrong are those too lazy to research the facts and think for themselves.

Armstrong is often interesting, but just as often completely half-baked. Here's another thing Putin said regarding the breakup of the USSR:

People in Russia say that those who do not regret the collapse of the Soviet Union have no heart, and those that do regret it have no brain. We do not regret this, we simply state the fact and know that we need to look ahead, not backwards. We will not allow the past to drag us down and stop us from moving ahead. We understand where we should move. But we must act based on a clear understanding of what happened..

Pretty much.  Imagine you're running out of gas on Friday of a 3 day weekend and drive to the local convenience store and discover their underground tank is empty.

They tell you the nearby places are empty too.  So you have enough to get home and figure you'll give it a few days.  Then your neighbors come over the next day and ask if you know where there's a store that has gas.

You get out your bike and drive around.  Nothing.  No news broadcasts are talking about it, either.  Then that night the first news report mentions some "temporary problems".  Your wife says, better go get some food, can you carry it on your bike?

You put on a backpack and ride down to the convenience store.  The shelves are empty.  Their supply trucks couldn't get fuel either.

Another five miles to a Walmart.  The parking lot is packed with pedestrians.  They are loud.  They are angry.  There is pushing and shoving.  You notice no bags of goods are walking out of the place.  Their trucks didn't arrive, either.

So you pedal home and you and the wife start to think about the good old days, because this is not temporary.

This is a long (70 mins) talk by Andrei Fursov (historian, sociologist) from mid-April via Poznavatelnoe.tv (English subtitles).

Oligarchical topography of Ukraine
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXLUJpqaQpY

There is a LOT of information in this talk.
Make what you will of it ...  Major topics:

04:30 Overview of the major oligarch clans in Ukraine : Akhmetov (mining & steel), Yanukovych (administration), Kolomoisky (banking), Firtash (energy).
Akhmetov backed Yanukovych, while Kolomoisky backed Yuschenko and Tymoshenko. Firtash works for the Rothschilds. Several more powerful domestic and foreign players in Ukraine. Kolomoisky is said to be the motor behind current events.

12:00 Foreign oligarchs have moved in to control large sectors of Ukraine. At the same time all the big western intelligence agencies have had a free hand since the late 90s (CIA, FBI, MI6, BND, plus one mid-east country), including preparing the Banderite underground for the recent take-over.

24:45 The under-recognized significance of the Lebanese diaspora and Hezbollah in South America and Africa, and how they have gotten in the way of the global hegemon.

28:45 The Banderization of Ukraine is an instrument to conquer Russia and weaken China, lest they become strong enough to challenge the Atlanticist hegemony.

37:30 While the West has been effective for years in steering developments in Ukraine, their Russian counterparts by comparison have been a pathetic failure and need to learn from the West.

43:30 In the last 200-300 years Russia has endured numerous aggressions from the West, while Russia conversely has done virtually nothing against the West. Western expansion is “aggressive” while Russian expansion is “defensive” (buffer).

49:00 The EU intends to bury nuclear waste on the site of Chernobyl, which in a few years will cause massive depopulation of Ukraine (or neighboring Belarus and Russia). The waste train is waiting at the Polish-Ukrainian border. It is speculated that Muzychko was assassinated for knowing too much about this.

53:35 Nato's genocide of pro-Russian Serbs by dropping uranium and infertility agents. Cancer now widespread.

58:45 A Rubicon has been crossed with the February-March events of 2014. Relations between the West and Russia have passed the point of no return. The gloves are off. Russia's “era of defeats” is over. The return of Crimea demonstrated that Russia will not only stand up to aggression but unexpectedly take the initiative.

1:00:30 Next steps for Russia: eliminate the fifth column (people like Gorbachev), reconfigure the economic and social framework, leave anti-Russian international structures, take the initiative against the Western aggressor, and, finally, prepare the domestic population to be ready ...

There is no history, pal.  This world has never existed before.

They sell about 8 million barrels every day to their enemies, draining money from them, and their enemies burn it immediately so they have to buy more.

When has that ever been so in history?  History is a fairy tale -- a set of lies agreed upon (per Napoleon).  History of a world that didn't depend on oil as much as it depends on air.

They have the spigot.  Nothing else matters.

The infinite spying by the NSA and the control that provides, the economic power and control by USA of all financial markets, the destruction of democracy at home, the gargantuan military spending by the US (nearly half of all world spending) has primed it to expect the world to rollover and play dead when it demands it.

No one seems to care that the US has killed 20 to 30 million people in conflicts since World War II.

No hegemon in history has resisted the urge for more hegemony and the results have always been the same.  The US will suffer a catastrophic collapse.  But it may take a lot of the world with it.

US covert and overt criminal Wars of Aggression caused 20-30 million deaths of human beings since World War 2, according to the outstanding documentation of James Lucas of Countercurrents.org. The US use/support of armed attacks is documented in 37 countries (over 40 in a more current study), and in direct violation of treaties after both world wars (Kellogg-Briand and UN Charter) to forever end armed attacks unless first attacked by another nation’s government.

I am not associated with it or endorse it in any way but the UKIP here is going to cause a political storm in under a month.  Google it, and research the opinion polls.

The people in all our lands have no voice thanks to TPTB, so enevitably something rises and fills the void, and as sure as night follows day, whatever happens here, happens where you lot are.  UKIP are that alternate voice here in England.

People are fucked off, earning nothing, being overun by immigrants, seeing the rule of law disappear, and see their countries turn into shit-holes.  Thats why the alternatives have arose, like the UKIP.

We are about to see something here that hasnt happened for 100 years.  Stay tuned.

Because those that would oppose peaceful change, will make violent change inevitable.

If it happens here, and it will, expect this, all, around, the, world.

Make of that what you will.  I said on New-Years day here that 2014 sees it kick off.  I stand by them words.

Let's not kid ourselves Martin, Russia and China intend on being the last man standing. Any "closeness" and posturing you may see today is only intended to achieve that end.

Imperialism 2.0 is now in a fully realized form. The non-western world must either develop independent trade and currency infrastructure and institutions or be crushed. Even energy exporting countries will be crushed.

The West has claimed the right to confiscate as much as they want, whenever they want, not just from their local economies but from the world economy.

The claim that it's all been a one off event to deal with a crises is refuted by the facts that;
1. The all fiat dollar, Greenspan Put and derivatives were in place well before 08.
2. Duration
3. The Greenspan Put has been revealed as a western CBs Put.

Now you might ask, what about all the things non-western governments and CBs have done? The difference being choice and who benefits. They've had to perform considerable contortions to deal with the fallout. Not to mention the their own schemes and scams.

The point being this is a kick up structure non-western mobsters can't afford.

Armstrong writes; "or seem weak in the shadow of Obama."

I wonder if he means the sucklings at the bath house up there on Halsted Street.

This whole US/EU vs Russia stinks!  The last 3 years there have been numerous joint military exercises between these puported countries. Relations were described as cordial. Now they are at loggerheads. What are they distracting us from seeing?

What's going on is nothing more than theatre.  Obama, Russians, Chinese....they're all commies and want the same thing, control.  Why in the world would a devote marxist like the Lyin' King, want to harm comrads in arms?  He doesn't, but he needs more confussion to build up to a situation here where he can finally cancel the Constitution and put his domestic military to work.  If people have to die in the interum, so be it.  His pal, Ayers, estimated that 25-30mm of us may have to die in order for them to complete their takeover of America.  I don't doubt him.

Looking like the plan is coming together.

The proper terminology is "such as" or "more than". It is not "such than".

According to CNET, the "Information, Information Technologies and Protection of Information" amendment, part of the country's anti-terrorism laws, would require Russian data handled by tech giants such as Facebook, Google's Gmail, and Microsoft's Skype to be stored within the country in order for it to be accessed by state security and intelligence services for legal inspection.
