CEO Of Russia's Largest Oil Company, Rosneft, On US Sanctions List
Yesterday we reported that among today's expanded sanctioned individuals would be the heads of Rosneft and Gazprom:

Moments ago, we got confirmation that at least one of those two will indeed be "sanctioned" - that someone is Igor Sechin, head of Rosneft which also happens to be Russia's largest oil extractor and refiner:

Someone help me understand. Why won't Russia just dump the dollar already? Why use the currency of your enemy? Is it some sort of MA(economic)D?
Everyone still needs dollars to conduct quite a bit of trade in this globalized economy, but those days are fast coming to an end.

I'm glad someone else asked this question. I'm reading this (and the other two threads about it), and no one else has mentioned these are individuals (the deputy chief of staff?) being sanctioned. Sometime during the show, probably after Russin troops march into Ukraine, the West will impose economic sanctions on Russia that cannot be laughed off. The BRICS will announce their long awaited bank and currency for international trade, which will kill the US$ and replace it as the reserve currency.

I actually think it's a move to ensure that the Russian Ruble doesn't become a candidate to replace the US "Petro" dollar as currency vehicle to buy natural gas, nvm oil.
Natural gas is the next big thing. The US Petro Dollar will always be tied to oil.......but what to natural gas? That's what this potential war is all about: what side is going to control one of the biggest gas fields in all of the world (Ukraine....which also is one of the world;s best places to grow food, conincidentally).
Chris Cook has said he potentially foresaw a natural gas backed-currency potentially arising as QE4EVA continues and the lust for fracking and XL pipelines continued to expand. And as oil reserve (slowly) wane, new energy commodities will take its place.
