Active Shooter At FedEx Facility In Atlanta: 6 Gunned Down, FBI On Scene - Live Feed (UPDATE: Shooter Dead)
Police are looking for a man (reportedly a baggage handler) suspected of shooting six people at the FedEx facility in Kennesaw. As NBC11 reports, the shooting occurred at 545am as the male suspect arrved at the facility and started shooting:
- FBI and ATF now on scene assisting local PD after 6 people have been shot at a FedEx center in Atlanta.
- Shooter with shotgun wearing black tank top, black skulley, black cargo pants & shells across shoulder.
The facility is on lockdown with workers already at work being held in a warehouse and new arrivals turned away.
- *POLICE CONFIRM 6 INJURED IN SHOOTING AT GEORGIA FEDEX FACILITY
- *POLICE SAY SEARCH FOR SHOOTER EXPANDS TO OUTSIDE FEDEX BUILDING

FedEx spokesman Scott Fiedler released a statement at around 7:20 a.m., saying, "FedEx is aware of the situation. Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our team members, first responders and others affected. FedEx is cooperating with authorities."

I've lived here in Kennesaw/Acworth for 22 years and can't remember any incidents similiar to this. One reason could be we all have lots of guns and keep riffraft off our turf. You do notice the gunman shot himself, he knows the world of sh-t he was in once our well armed populace got hold of him.

Not quite. FedEx facilities are serious "gun free" zones. You can't even have your licensed weapon in your car in the lot. Termination is mandatory for any possession of a firearm. Great place to have a killing.
