Roof Snipers Appear In Odessa

Tyler Durden's picture

First Kiev, now Odessa? The answer to the question of who is doing the shooting and who is being shot at will need to wait until another Victoria Nuland phone recording is released.

This is the purported shooter:

And not just snipers, but Molotov Cocktails.

Will this weekend be a repeat of Kiev from late February? Judging by the violent reaction in gold, to some at least the answer is a definitive yes.

Ridiculous! No sniper would ever be caught on camera against his will. They are the masters of camouflage. And the would never use the kind of weapon shown in the picture.

That is why the KKK were the best rooftop snipers, especially on cloudy days.

'sniper' must be a 'get their attention' word in headlines. I'd say he was a guy up on a roof with a pistol. (Its accurate but kinda awkward though)

He's clearly not a "sniper" but a guy with a gun on a roof.

As for masters of camouflage, of course, snipers are very good {and would never be in such an exposed position}.

But the fellows who hunt snipers are even better.  It might make some sense to simply assume any snipers could be NATO or CIA or German SF or {of course} Mossad and put the word out that any snipers - any - will be assumed to be foreign agents, etc. and fair targets.

More briefly:

Kill 'em all.

Once Russia figured out the plan, they surely sent in their own spec ops to try and counter the HATO element. If they are successful, they can avoid a full military intervention. At least I would try that first, if I were Vlad.

I really think he wants to eliminate the Red Shield influence which has imprisoned Russia for over 100 years. In effect, an international economy not ruled by a secret super super wealthy clique.

And I could be wrong- he may just have historical Russian territorial ambitions.

It appears at this point the western powers wanted economic and geographic hegemony in Ukraine.

Using NAZIs and mercs does not give one the upper hand morally.

This is going to backfire. At some point, the Russian Federation will have to intervene with military. This is an area fully under Russian influence for hundreds of years. So, the west is in effect, attacking Russia.

What is very very troubling is TPTB know this. Yet, they are pushing for confrontation.

Whatever happens is going to be BAD for the people of each country- Russia, Ukraine, Europe and US.

Dualism versus Mental Monism

There are two reasons Albert and Loewer moved from the single-mind to the many-minds interpretation, and it turns out that neither reason is a good one. The many-minds interpretation does not, after all, allow for mental states to supervene on physical states, and one can give a version of the single-mind interpretation which does not face the mindless hulk problem. We should not be sanguine about the single-mind interpretation, however; I will now present a problem for all the dualistic interpretations.

The problem is that the most natural ontology for these interpretations turns out to be not dualism, but mental monism. Any physical state of the universe does no work in the dualistic interpretations. Mental states do not supervene on, or emerge from, physical states. Interactionist dualism is false, because there is no interaction between the physical and the mental: the quantum state evolves in accordance with Schrödinger’s equation, while minds evolve in accordance with some incompletely specified mental dynamical equation. One can obtain evidence that the physical state of the universe is irrelevant to dualistic interpretations by noting that proponents of dualistic interpretations do not bother to specify a semantics for the quantum state; they do not say what the physical ontology of their interpretation is. Because of this I have taken them to endorse the standard semantics of quantum mechanics, the eigenstate-eigenvalue link.5

Intuitively, we believe that the physical state of the universe is relevant to what mental states people have: we think that the reason a competent observer like Eve believes that a particle is x-spin up is that the particle really is x-spin up, or at least that the pointer on a good measuring apparatus points to ‘up’. On the single-mind and many-minds interpretations with the standard semantics, though, that is not the case: Eve believes that the particle is x-spin up and that the pointer points to ‘up’, but those beliefs are false.

It is true that the quantum state is relevant to the evolution of mental states; the probabilities for the evolution of mental states supervene on the quantum state. But I maintain that this does not give sufficient evidence that the quantum state corresponds to something physically real. One can instead take the quantum state to be part of the dynamical equation for minds. The dynamical equation for minds would then establish the probabilities for the evolution of mental states.

I will now consider an objection to that proposal. The objection begins by stating that, according to the proposal, the dynamical equation for minds would constitute the fundamental law of nature, but that law of nature would change with time, corresponding to the change of the quantum state with time. The objection maintains that laws of nature are meant to hold for

all time, not to change over time.

My first reply is that this objection assumes that there are laws of nature, but this position has been cogently if controversially argued against by Bas van Fraassen (1989). My second reply is that, perhaps laws of nature do exist, but it turns out that laws of nature do after all change with time. If that is what our best physics tells us about laws of nature, then that is the philosophical view we should accept.

For those who reject the first and second replies, then my third reply is that it need not be the law itself which changes over time. The law can simply incorporate a free parameter corresponding to the quantum state, and the value of that parameter can change with time.

One may object to the proposal in the third reply by pointing out that it is meaningless to talk about this free parameter changing if nothing in the world corresponds to the change in parameter. In reply, one can postulate the existence of a property of the mental world as a whole, or of some part of the world, such that the value of that property corresponds to the value of the parameter in the dynamical equation for minds.

I conclude that, on the dualistic interpretations, the physical world is otiose. Thus, there is not sufficient reason for proponents of these interpretations to postulate the existence of the physical world; the most reasonable ontology of these interpretations is not dualism, but mental monism. This conclusion does not entail that these interpretations are false, but it does show that proponents of these interpretations, who present their ideas in a dualistic framework, need to get more clear on what ontology they are promulgating, and why they are promulgating it.

Depends which propaganda mouthpiece you listen to. Reading the local news they've now be classified as insurgents. Fri, 05/02/2014 - 13:06 | 4720784 nonclaim

Well, yes, labels are applied without finer distinctions and certainly also impose a message. I'm sure among those labeled pro-russian are some who would prefer an independent East Ukraine.

But I don't see it happening ... as soon as (an hypothetical) East declares independence it would be under massive influence from Russia and would become a de facto satellite state. Why? Because this is how Russia deals with her small neighbors for many decades/centuries and won't change her ways anytime soon. It is not a matter of liking it or not, before anybody asks.

And we have to keep in mind that Putin is somewhat refined (but not so subtle)... the next president may be more in line with recent past Russian leaders.

Actually, the Russians are fomenting violence as a pretext to invade because A.) The Ukrainian army will collapse and B.) There won't be in military aid from the U.S. or NATO even though Bill Clinton signed an agreement to intervene if the Ukraine gave up its nukes which it did. Moral of the story, don't give up your nukes if you have and if you don't you might want to think about acquiring them because the US is no longer the world's cop. Thanks Obama.

Speaking of snipers and Sweds. Little something has flown under the radar thus far.

At the end of February, mere days after Ukraine's president, Viktor Yanukovych, was overthrown, Mikael Skillt boarded a plane bound for Kiev. He left behind a relationship that had just ended, a terrace house in a Stockholm suburb and a well-paid job as a planner at a construction company.

The purpose of his trip was to volunteer for one of the nationalist organizations which, as a result of their central role in the Ukrainian revolution, have gone from being relatively marginal to controlling the streets of Kiev.

It was not an easy decision to make, Skillt said when Fria Tider spoke to him over Skype. His former employer, also a personal friend, was not happy when Skillt suddenly quit his job to go to Ukraine. Skillt said he went anyway because of a sense of solidarity with the Ukrainian nationalists. ?Nationalists have died on the streets of Kiev,? he recounted. ?And I was able to help them. That is more important than my personal well-being.?

Skillt is 37 years old and has been involved in various Swedish nationalist groups for more than a decade. Between 2002 and 2010 he was active in the National Socialist organization Svenska motståndsrörelsen (Swedish Resistance Movement). Today, he is a member of a small, nationalist political party, Svenskarnas parti (Party of the Swedes), but holds no official position within it. He says he is no longer a National Socialist and describes himself as an ?ethnic nationalist.? ?You are born Swedish,? he explained. ?It's not something you can become.?

After arriving in Ukraine, Skillt joined the organization C14, also known as Sich, which is closely affiliated with the nationalist party Svoboda. In an interview with the BBC, C14's leader, Yevhen Karas, says that his organization has approximately 200 members and that its main objective is to sever all ties between Ukraine and Russia. Some have called him a Nazi, but he firmly denies that accusation. ?I don't think I'm a Nazi, I'm a Ukrainian nationalist,? Karas told the BBC. ?The main confrontation is about that some ethnic groups have control of many business structures, some economical and political forces.?

When asked which ethnic groups he was referring to, Karas clarified, ?Russians and Jews. Some non-Ukrainian groups control a huge percent of the economic and political power. And of course, in this situation you have some tension with the Ukrainian people.?

But these people are happy work along side people they want to see cooked in easy bake ovens and the same supposed jews hve no problems openly associating with these type of people. Something doesn't add up

First the police part

Paramilitary Right fills power vacuum
Today, C14 is a force to be reckoned with. Together with the so-called Right Sector, C14 patrols the streets of Kiev, fights crime and guards public buildings. Skillt and several other Swedish volunteers participate in the patrols. ?The police force still exists, but isn?t seen much,? he said. ?Most of the police officers you see on the streets are only traffic police. Maintaining order is primarily being done by C14 and the Right Sector.?

The reason why there is a power vacuum that is currently being filled by these groups is that the special police force, Berkut, was disbanded following the overthrow of Yanukovych, and many officers of the regular police force were also sacked. ?Corruption among the police has been massive and many have been dismissed,? Skillt explained. ?Some have fled for their lives because they were guilty of corruption, or otherwise behaved like bastards. The officers that remain are pro-Ukrainian and not corrupt. But because of their low-life former comrades, people don't have much confidence in them either.?

?Berkut was really disgusting,? he continued. ?I have met some people who were arrested by them. They were tortured, sometimes even maimed. People had toes and fingers cut off. Some were doused in gasoline, while police officers stood next to them, smoking. Others had water poured over them and were then thrown out into -10 degrees C temperatures.?

The police were and are also corrupt, shocker.... not.

and now snipers.

Sniper duels on the Maidan
When Fria Tider asked Skillt about rumors that the Ukrainian opposition itself may have been behind the shootings of protestors on the Maidan, he says that he is aware of them, but puts no stock in them. However, he said he has spoken to two people who sniped at the police on the Maidan Square during the riots. ?They used Saiga semi-automatic rifles equipped with telescopic sights, and were positioned on the third floor of the Trade Unions Building on Maidan Square,? Skillt said. "Their mission was to take out Berkut's snipers," he added.

He also told us that he recently ran into a man in an American uniform, carrying an American-made rifle. ?It was a bit odd, but it turned out he was Ukrainian,? Skillt said. ?He had a modified, short-barrel M-16 with a telescopic sight. We said a quick hello.?

Take it for what it is worth but I'll certainly buy the police had snipers trained on the protests also at the same time. They certainly had them trained on the Occupy protests in NYC and we aren't supposed to be corrupt like them....

"Some have fled for their lives because they were guilty of corruption, or otherwise behaved like bastards. The officers that remain are pro-Ukrainian and not corrupt. But because of their low-life former comrades, people don't have much confidence in them either.?"

Basically, the police and Special Ops who have been fired are now working for the 'Pro-Russia' militia.  Thats why they have fled.  And why don't people trust the new cops?  Same as the old cops (in terms of willingness to use force, at their master's bidding).

And the man in an American uniform and American-rifle?  Probably an Israeli.  The last one is just for laughs.

Without a doubt many defected. But from what I can gather it seems pretty much unanimous from both sides that the police as an overall group were anything but not corrupt in general over there.

And also right changing faces without true reform from individuals wearing said uniforms don't change shit, it is just switching faces but core is still corrupt when they act in the same manner.

Trying to reform a prison and make it a kinder, gentler more responsive prison doesn't change the fact it is still a prison. That is the core issue no one deals with concerning these things.

I had to take my dad to a doctor's appointment early this morning, and they had the news on in the lobby.  They actually brought up Ukraine, because pro-Russian forces had detained the CBS reporters for about a couple or a few hours.  After they were released, the anchor was asking the female reporter about what had happened, and it is just about what you'd expect.  All of their belongings were searched, and the woman said that she understood Russian, and that one of the guys was yelling at her, in Russian, that she needed to tell Obama to quit supporting the fascists in Ukraine.  She said he was very emotional about it.

If I could get ahold of the guy who was telling her that, I'd simply tell him that Obama doesn't give a shit what we think.

Here's the news report:

I am amazed CBS found a reporter that speaks a foreign language! I believe Obama supports any terrorist or fascist that he thinks will further world domination and banker power. Al-Qaeda in Syria, Nazis in Kiev. Obama's record is clear, but that does not mean that Romeny would have been different, he would also follow the puppet masters who rule America now with an iron fist. The arrest of the CBS news crew sounds like a minor traffic stop in the USA, minus the tazer and pepper spray, choke hold and gun to the head.

Little bit more on those fun loving Sweds who are aligned with C14.

In the late evening on the 8th of March several left-wing activists were attacked in central Malmö by members of the fascist Svenskarnas Parti (Swedes Party). They were on their way home after having taken part in an International Women’s Day demonstration against violence against women. The attack took place immediately after the demonstration. One person is now in intensive care with serious head injuries and a further three have suffered knife injuries of various severity.  The Nazis had been searching for potential victims the entire evening in the vicinity of the demonstration, in other words, the attack was not a coincidence.

This is not the first incident of such kind: the far-right violence against leftists has been growing of recent in Sweden as well as in Ukraine. In January, two men attacked a 16-year-old activist of the youth organization of the Social Democratic Party, they warned her to not promote her political views. In other cities the Nazis were watching the demonstrations on March 8, identifying individual activists.

The seriously injured 25 year old activist, who is currently being cared for in a sedated state in hospital, is a leading figure in the fight against racism and homophobia in the football world, a member of the revolutionary syndicalist union SAC and a devoted supporter of Malmö FF. He also helped to found ”Football fans against homophobia” organization. Based on this, his picture has been recently hung out on the Swedes Party linked website ‘Realisten’.

According to witnesses at the scene, a high ranking member of the Swedes Party – Andreas Carlsson was seen attacking feminists with a knife. Earlier this year he along with other members of the Swedes Party has  travelled down to Kiev as ”Ukrainafrivilliga” (Ukraine Volunteers) to support the Svoboda party’s efforts in taking power. According to his report, some of the delegation’s participants have stayed, in order ”to enlist in the Ukrainian army” (probably referring to Maidan Self-Defence), while others, including Carlsson returned to Sweden only a few days before the 8th of March.

Interestingly enough, in his recent interview Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt has said that “Svoboda” is the party of ‘European Democrats who work for our values”??.  Swedish left-wing activists firmly believe, it was this tolerance to the fascist parties, that gave the signal for the Swedes Party, that their violence will be tolerated by the public. Obviously, they could not but be inspired by the widespread presence of “Svoboda” and other far-right groups on Maidan, where those were able to impose their own ideological hegemony upon the apolitical citizens.

They couldn't have done it without some help from supposed enemies of their ideology but if you understand the religious undertones to all these groups they have a very important uniting force through a major deception/lie that has been propogated by the puppetmasters for centuries now that only one group doesn't ascribe to in this conflict.

I just sent the photo of the woman making Molotov cocktails the to National and Foregin editors at the NY Times:

Since you’ve been unable to come up with any photos showing who is practicing terrorism in Odessa, I thought I’d share this photo of Right Sector Nazis supporting the Kiev junta making Molotov cocktails.

You can tell they are with RS because of the gold and blue neckerchief worn by the woman pouring gasoline into the beer bottles.

I’m sure I can count on you sharing this with your readers, as you continue to honestly portray events without any CIA / EU / Obama-Nuland propaganda influences. /sarc

I have a photo of an RS sniper perching on a rooftop in Odessa if you’d like to show how the RS did it in Kiev . . . you can check with the Estonian Foreign Minister to verify his recorded phone call telling the US attaché to the EU Human Rights Commission about the RS snipers – an inconvenient truth that has escaped your publication.

In fact, I personally know NO ONE in Odessa who supports Kiev; and I believe that the people in the Odessa oblast will demand INDEPENDENCE from the Kiev government. However, people appear to be split on whether to join Russia OR to form some type of federation with other oblasts in southern and eastern Ukraine.

From an American living in Odessa:

The Odessans were attacked by pro-Kiev supporters (including many Right-Sector members) who came down by train and car. These pro-Kiev thugs were armed primarily with long metal pipes (from my personal observations) and charged a group of pro-Russian Odessans carrying flags and signs.

An acquaintance (a police captain in Odessa) told us that the police were warned they were coming from Kiev, but said they did not expect so many - and so there were insufficient police when the attack began. We heards some shot also, but did not see who or how many were hit. We left the area soon after.
