1. President Obama was not in the situation room so he could not witness first hand what was going on...that way he could say he was being kept informed by his staff - plausible deniability. He can honestly say that he did not have personal knowledge that it was a planned terrorist attack. This way he never has to admit his boasts of 'Al Queda is on the run' were very wrong just a couple of weeks befor the election.
2. He ordered the military to do anything they could do to rescue our people - this was a good order and once again makes himlook like the is doing something. But someone told the Ops center in North Africa to stand down. What does this mean? Perhaps they did not want to escalate the situation becsuase it would suggest his boast of 'Al Queda is on the run' were very wrong just before an election.
The big question: did they leave those poor folks out there to die rather than escalate the situation so they could win an election? Time will tell

Ghadaffi was overthrown because the Obama regime wanted to use a chaotic, destabilized "wild west" Libya as the doorway to the Caliphate to get the arms in for distribution to Syria, Yemen, Jordan, Egypt and eventually Saudi Arabia. Ambassador Chris Stevens and the CIA were somehow, some way running or heavily involved this armament pipeline.
The Obama regime wanted and "needed" Chris Stevens dead, probably to cover the gun and armament running, so they killed him. Word was sent to the Muslim Brotherhood to attack the Benghazi facility. The Obama regime promised that there would be no retaliation and that a cover story about "slandering the prophet" would be provided. The Muslim Brotherhood wins all around. During the debate Obama lied deliberately to us about what he said in the Rose Garden and Candy Crowley inappropriately backed him up. A gloating Obama then chimed in, “Can you say that a little louder, Candy!”
Obama later scolded Romney about how “offensive” it was for him to question the administration’s selfless intention. But even the hyper-partisan press could not sanction this lie for long.
