Dozens Of CIA, FBI Agents "Advising Ukraine Government", German Press Reports
Now that the situation in Ukraine has officially been upgraded to "war", what really happens on the ground will remain largely wrapped by the fog of war on either side, with just one thing assured: a war it may be but more than anything it is a proxy war - one in which both western and Russian interests are manifest in the fighting, and killing, of mostly innocent civilians in Ukraine - a carbon copy replica of what happened last year in Syria.
The latest reminder of just this comes from AFP which reports, citing Germany's Bild, that "dozens of specialists from the US Central Intelligence Agency and Federal Bureau of Investigation are advising the Ukrainian government."
Citing unnamed German security sources, Bild am Sonntag said the CIA and FBI agents were helping Kiev end the rebellion in the east of Ukraine and set up a functioning security structure.
It said the agents were not directly involved in fighting with pro-Russian militants. "Their activity is limited to the capital Kiev," the paper said.
The FBI agents are also helping the Kiev government fight organised crime, it added.
A group specialised in financial matters is to help trace the wealth of former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych, according to the report.
On the surface, this report is hardly surprising: we reported a month ago, subsequently confirmed by the White House, that CIA director Brennan had "secretly" visited Kiev in early April. It stands to logic that he was hardly alone and continuing the proud tradition of Libya, Egypt and Syria, the CIA was merely getting started unfolding the agency's core competency: regional destabilization.
What is very surprising is that Germany's press is finally stepping away from the western media propaganda umbrella and starting to report the side of the narrative that is in direct opposition to US interests in either Ukraine, or Germany.
So just who, and why, is pulling the strings on Germany's media outlets in a way that goes against the official Merkel fiction, if in agreement with Germany's commercial and industrial interests (as well as those of Europe's commission himself)?
And how soon before Germany's position, one clearly against the imposition of further sanctions on Russia and the additional alienation of the Kremlin, puts Germany on direct collision course with Obama and the US state department? And what then: will Germany, shunned by the US, have no choice but to reallign with the ascendent Eurasian axis of China and Russia. Stay tuned.

You seem to naively think the US represents a 'force for good'. Do you recall the Fast and Furious operation where the FBI supplied weapons to Mexican drug cartels? These weapons became 'unaccounted for' and ultimately were used to murder US law enforcement agents. How about Iran-Contra? The US has a LOOONG history of acting deviously and in support of criminal activity. Given the country's rapid progression toward fascism, I am deeply skeptical of a strategic need to get involved. As a recovering patriot and hawk, I believe our leadership has lost its way by abandoning the principles the country was founded on. As such, less intervention is better, given my view that the government acts generally to screw things up further, since the government's motives are generally corrupt.
What is important and relevant here is that Russia definitely does NOT represent a force for good. I do not give a shit what the US motivation is in all this, and I do not give a shit if all the conspiracy theories are correct. What I do know is that there is a history of US involvement leading to positive changes in countries (Western Europe, Japan, South Korea), whereas Russia is GUARANTEED to bring decay, destruction, and death.

To be honest those who have formed their world with values found in high school text books and the electronic media will be found mostly unreachable. If they have not spent decades reading books that were not on the New York Time’s best seller list and gravitated from there to alternative media with the advent of the internet, I have found you will simply be wasting your time attempting any type meaningful discussion. At this point they are like a separate species. It is easier to categorize than explore, much easier to believe than to know.

A U.K. study has shown that those who believe everything is a conspiracy suffer from low I.Q. and a certain form of mental illness. Those who question everything have shown to possess a much higher I.Q. and are much more mentally stable.
The old adage that truth is in the eye of the beholder comes to mind here. What seems apparent to one may seem complicated to another. Many times it is simply a case of what we might term intellectual harmonics. As we acquire knowledge and facts somethings appear as intrinsically needless to debate. For others further down the scale they seem perplexing and these intellects often insist upon a Fox News broadcast or link to justify their validity. Others who are forcefully confronted by facts they should have known lash out in in vindictive terms in a very unbecoming manner.
In modern day terminology I think it compares with examples of the slow learner holding back the class. Imagine yourself trying to explain to say a spider monkey that two and two equals four. Most of us have already accepted this as reality, however the spider monkey if he could even fathom what you were saying would view this as some gigantic conspiracy being thrust upon him.
For instance ‘cognitive dissonance’ is a psychological state where one is so consumed with one’s beliefs that even when faced with overwhelming evidence that not only goes against, but also effectively nullifies their beliefs, they cannot allow it or accept the new reality. Common folks with this kind of disorder usually end up in psychological counseling.
For those who believe that all men (unlike trees or apes) are "created" equal, conspiracy is an easy explanation for when you're not.

I have traveled to the Ukraine 5 times over 9 years and have had 2 Ukranian employees. On each trip I have heard from the people there how much they love their country and how much they hate the corruption of their system and thier corrupt leaders. THey deeply want their own leaders and not leaders seen as puppets of any other country. Everyone there knew that Russia had a heavy hand in every election. Even radioactive polonium poisoning of one of the Ukraine presidential candidates in the past that was unfriendly to Russia. The Ukraine's 2 recent revolutions were of their own making out of a dislike of corruption, and not of anyb US making. I have traveled for weeks in the Ukraine and not met a fellow american. I sell equipment to the government there over the years and I have never met another american connected to influencing anything in their government. That said, I am sure we have advisors of some sort over there now. Either way the Ukraine is a sad place right now. My Ukranian accountant just came back from Kiev about 12 days ago from Kiev telling me of peoples mood there.

In an ideal world, the Ukrainians would be allowed to choose their own form of gov't but we don't live in that world. In reality you have the US who was largely likely to start for the current trouble there, the Russians who are now trying to aggressively and fully exploit by at the very least carving out significant 'protection zones', and the Ukrainian citizens being the losers in the end as they are sandwiched between proxies of both sides.

Real news is hard to come by. It seems the Ukrainian military moves into areas, there is a lot of civilian protest in their faces, and the odd shoot out occurs at a check point here and there, then Ukrainian forces pull back. It seems they don't want to overnight inside any of these pro Russian cities. It looks like Right Sector and it's US funded clones kind of piggy back on the Ukrainian miltiary moves, using them as a shield to enter a pro Russian town and try and pick off a few people if they can, but mostly Right Sector follows the Army out again. In Odessa, where bused in Right Sector gained a large victory a couple days ago, now the streets are held by pro Russian Odessa citizens, so much so that they were able to confront police and force them to release the captives that police arrested at the scene of the Trade Union building attack. So all those folks are back home after a citizens uprising. This hardly indicates great Kiev strength in Odessa. Kiev can send in outside forces, but they leave after their operations. In Donetsk, reports are that former police and Ukrainian military that have switched sides are handing out modern weapons to select residents, this in preperation for Right Sector showing up under cover of a Ukrainian military move. One suspects that modern infantry weapons of the anti aircraft and anti tank missile kind are being held back for later use, if the Ukrainian military does use heavy handed force. Shooting down to Kiev helicopters the other day was a way of saying, "yes we can!"
The reason the US has taken over the command structure of the Ukrainian military and the CIA has taken over command of the Right sector is to try and prod them into action, and direct the use of force to get control over cities. Kiev itself is a dead hand, their support level nationwide is dubious, and only the firm hand of NATO and the billions in free money to buy support among Ukrainian power structures is keeping this fake government in power. Look for the US to take firm control of Kiev and run the operation like an occupation.
