Russia Launches Two ICBMs, Rebuffs "Simulated Massive Nuclear Strike" As Part Of Military Drill
Remember when Putin "de-escalated" and promised the Russian forces were being pulled back from the Ukraine border? That didn't last long. Fast forward 24 hours, when we learn that the very same Putin oversaw a military exercise involving Russia's nuclear forces.

While Putin said the exercise had been planned back in November, it comes as relations between Russia and the West have plunged to their lowest point since the Cold War over Ukraine.
Putin, speaking from the Defense Ministry's headquarters where he oversaw the exercise along with leaders of several ex-Soviet nations which are members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, said that the maneuvers involved the military across the entire Russian territory, including the nation's nuclear forces.
Russian news wires said that the exercises simulated dealing a massive retaliatory nuclear strike in response to an enemy attack. The description of the exercise is unusually blunt, reflecting tensions with the West running high over Ukraine.
As part of the maneuvers, a Topol intercontinental ballistic missile launched from the Plesetsk launch pad in northwestern Russia successfully hit a designated target on the Kura testing range on the far eastern Kamchatka peninsula, the military said.
Two nuclear submarines of the Northern and Pacific Fleets, the Tula and the Podolsk, also fired intercontinental ballistic missiles.
So, what distraction will those who are selling into idiot hands to push stocks higher use today?

WTF, Putin? He's like Hitler, but worse in every way. The new Kiev government not only has to deal with the tens of thousands of Russian troops secretly in Ukraine, but also the many thousands of Nazis who resisted the coup.
Meanwhile, the American government continues to selflessly fight for peace, stability and democracy all over the world, very far from its own borders, even though it is a thankless and expensive job.

TheTelegraph reports it is not unusual that a “Russian aircraft carrier sails into English Channel…” but it’s there.
"HMS Dragon met the Russian warships in the south western approaches to the Channel on Wednesday and is shadowing them as they are expected to head into the North Sea and back to Russia.
"The heavy carrier Admiral Kuznetsov is accompanied by the nuclear-powered Kirov class cruiser Peter the Great and several support ships after a five-month mission to the Mediterranean.
"Naval sources said it was not unusual for Russian warship to pass through the channel and the Kuznetsov was also escorted past British waters on its way out in December when it passed Scotland heading south."

well in march Putin stated clearly, that he will go after USRAEL and not Europe.
He sent a clear message to Hussein Obimbo, that he is gong to bomb down US and not Europe.
Last month one of the high russian dignitaries reiterated this.
I see it logical, to finish off Europe, they need much less power....
I think Putin is smart enough to see through the trap laid by the neo con chicken hawks in directing and funding the neo-Nazis to overthrow the elected pro-Russia government, i.e. getting Russia entangled in an expensive and exhaustive military campaign in Ukraine. The US military industrial complex would then use their puppets in Congress, the media, and the White House to start another super-large defense spending spree, to pass even more Fascist laws (like the Patriot Act), and set up more surveillance programs (perhaps on the internet) in the already sophisticated police state apparatus from coast to coast.
Better let the US-backed criminal stooges destroy themselves - many Ukrainians hate these American puppets more than they do Russians.
I think Putin and the Russian government are doing the smart thing: keep sending gas to the Ukrainians as a good will gesture, withhold any overt military intervention unless absolutely necessary, provide all possible support to ethnic Russians in Ukraine through regular channels. Lies and propaganda might work in the US (since the shadow power financially control the US media in addition to the White House and Congress), but in Europe, particularly Germany, people are smarter so this "Putin as aggressor" BS doesn't have much credence. In Asia, particularly China, India, Pakistan etc, most people already know that the Ukrainian mess was started by the US and the NATO crime syndicate.
I wonder - diffidently, because I'm no expert in world affairs - whether Russia might be trying to "pull a Reagan" on the West. Reagan is reckoned to have won the last Cold War by forcing the Soviet Union to spend more than it could afford, thus imploding the USSR and its empire. In view of the West's mad monetary policies, might Putin be trying to trick our idiot politicians into spending their nations into insolvency. It's a thought, isn't it?
