Increasingly its a lot of foreign or almost-foreign nationals working on American weapons systems. Once they get citizenship, its fairly hard to deny a security clearance, and we know that the Silicon Valley is increasingly turning foreign.

It shoots missiles that are 120mm in diameter - much like my wrists and your thighs.

The on-the-ground explosions were real enough -- I'd say an air strike took out a mine field or an IED -- they then added the "UFO" in post-production. High school kids can pull off this kind of thing now with free video editing software running on a laptop computer.

All it takes is a few radar plots of position, and they can determine a probable ballistic trajectory. Sattelite-based systems and/or long-range phased array radar systems have been able to detect and compute predicted impacting points for at least the past 30 years.
Rockets are not under power all the way to the target.
With the exception of cruise missiles, they fly until they are the right trajectory and speed, and then they are ballistic - meaning Newton's Laws take over.
It is the same calculation you'd make to determine where a rock thrown with a certain acceleration and trajectory would land.
Used to be able to tell who were the old time arty guys because after 20-30 years they were always saying "Huh?"

When I was a kid I used to live close to Mather AFB and would see the B-52s doing touch and goes. I remember wondering if I'd live into my teens or die in nuclear fire. That fear went away in the 90s and now I can't believe the threat of nuclear war is upon the world again. I pray that my kids inherit my stash of preps and think dad was a gentle crazy for storing all this gear for so long.

Most of your post is valid but your first para is simply disgusting. I really doubt many of those men in Flanders ever believed they could withstand bullets. But they did fight for their countries and died for them.
It may be true that others engineered war but once that happens you can either run away, which is apparently your preferred option, or fight for your people and country.
Your comment about those who have died in war is just arrogant and sleazy. Perhaps you lack the courage and spirit of self-sacrifice they displayed.

Russia has been hard at work modernizing and equipping ALL its forces over the last10-12 years.
Most of their systems are on par or better than HATO.
