Stunning Clip Of How Russia Is "Not" Preparing For Nuclear War
Despite all the words - and equity market rallies (confirming that it must be true) - it would appear Mr. Putin and his men have been quietly "not" preparing for all-out war (which makes us wonder, aside from the ICBMs, just what it would look like if they were actually preparing for war). Below is a clip of today's "simulated massive nuclear attack" drills conducted in Russia. It is in short, stunning.

Watching that clip completely removes any urge I have to make a snarky comment. I will say it does synch up very well w/ Ride of the Valkyries.
Nuclear Porno.
Keep shooting that load, reload, load again and again.
I love nuclear porno.
It's Viagra for the State-ist crowd.
We are toast.
Really, though, I think the Russians just have a lot of the old fireworks to use up before they get started with the really good stuff. Just think of what they are doing for THEIR economy -- someone has to make lots and lots of replacements for all those rockets that got shot off.
There are (or were) literally train loads of that stuff floating around in Eastern Europe.
During the 1990s Russia was in such straights that there were bases where soldier's had had no pay for months, and all that remained was a handful of cadre who were selling off everything not nailed down.
Funny how those who say that "Russia is to be dismembered and occupied" can't explain why when Russia was at its most vulnerable no such thing happened.
It is bullshit. That's why they can't explain it.
No one ever wanted to break Russia up or Occupy it. They wanted a crack at the oil and gas in return for lots of bribes and a shitload of loans....and being banksters the loans had hooks in them. But then again so does your mortgage.
Military invasion and semi-permanent occupation is not the banksters style. Their style is a loan package where you do all the paying, default has pre-programmed costs, and the system that judges any dispute is rigged in their favor.
But that IS the Russian Army's style as Chekoslovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Kyrghizistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Chechnia, and Turkmenistan can attest, all of whom Russia has invaded within the living memory of citizens who observed it first hand.
That's not to say Russians are bad. Their women, chocolates, vodka, and engineers are fabulous. They are as advanced as anyone, and take high culture to a fault.
It is their tendency to deify politicians and then do the most horrible things at their direction that is not to be admired.
But who am I to talk? My country's leaders are criminals too!
Simulated? that's CGI like sales pitch for S400 but they've pushed the buttons
WTF ... We can't have war yet the NFL Draft is on
And if there's anything resembling a ground war, we have really well-trained troops after over a decade of Iraq/Afghanistan.
Unfortunately we also have an army worn out from a decade of Iraq/Afghanistan. Somehow I suspect Russia knows this.
There's a lot of idiots running foreign policy on both sides these days, and unfortunately the US got a head start on stupid.
The US would get its ass handed to it in a ground war w/Russia.
I'm surprised they still use Katyushas. I guess it makes sense. Keeps cost down so you can have more of them. Russia has always had a zerg army.
Wow ... they better be careful, if there is anything that would get Obama to go to war, it's their massive carbon footprint
Seriously.
The assholes at Lockheed Martin or whoever makes MLRS should develop a "hybrid/low emissions" rocket. Maybe put a few of Tesla's battery packs in there.
The batteries would increase explosive capability multiple times over. That, coupled with a low-emissions propulsion systems, would make anyone feel good about bombing the shit out of a wedding party out in the sticks.
Most of the stuff on the video was conventional and nothing to do with "massive nuclear" whatever, MLRS (multiple launch rocket systems) are high priced artillery. The stuff launching vertically now that's a different story as they could have nuke warheads...
LOL so this means
#1 obama actually got putin by the balls
or more likely
#2 its just a giant freakshow orcestrated by the banksters to move our focus from whats happening behind the curtians while we are having a systemic collaps and restruction of their monetary system.
What's with all the short range stuff? Are they prepping for war with a close neighbor? I don't see much in the intercontinental range.
better hope you don't....
Russia wants war.
Look how close they put their country to our military bases!

Wait, all of the Russo-philes on this site assure us every day that Putin wants nothing but his gas bill to be paid
Teflon Barry knows that the Ukraine situation is going to blow up soon and leave him looking like the idiot he is.
What to do???
Well, I think it's no coincidence that he and his fellow Democrats are talking so much about rescuing those poor African girls taken prisoner.
Yep, just when the Ukraine spit hits the fan, those girls will be liberated and the lap dog press will ignore Ukraine and flood their headlines with praise for The Messiah.
Just wait and watch.
Wait there are African girls taken prisoner now? What a world.
The NBA needs to establish some standards for behavior. This gangster shit isn't even funny anymore.
Big friggin deal. Every modern army worth its salt can run this fireworks display. In the meantime in the Russian countryside, the average lifespan is about 52 years.
Oh, you don't say?

Y'all got your woodies on?
Scuds what a joke 1950's technology. Gone in 15 seconds.
looks like they can absolutely ahniliate their own cities and thats about it.
That weaponry is nothing comapred to our shiny new $500 million dollar F35 fighter ... when it actually works.
And the all-but-unarmed littoral combat ships.
They black started after the big North East blackout a few years back.
From Woodrow Wilson to John McCain, the propagandists' rush to war, this is how it ends. Bob Dylan’s JOHN BROWN
John Brown went off to war, called to battle on a foreign shore,
And his mother, she sure was proud of him!
When he stood so straight and tall, in his uniform and all,
His mother’s face broke out in a glowing grin.
She said, "Son, you look so fine, I'm so glad you're a son of mine—
You make me proud to know you hold a gun.
Do what your captain says an’ lots of medals you will get,
Then we'll hang them on the wall when you come home."
As that evening train pulled out, John's ma began to shout,
Telling everybody in the neighborhood:
"That's my son that's about to go, he's a soldier now, you know,"
And she made well sure her neighbors understood.
She got a letter once in a while, and her face broke into a smile,
Then she showed them to the people from next door,
And she bragged about her son, with his uniform and gun,
And this thing they called “a good old-fashioned war.”
“A good old-fashioned war.”
After all his letters home, his mail had ceased to come,
And she hadn’t heard a word for nine months or more.
Then one letter finally came: "Go down and meet the train—
Your son is coming home from the war."
Oh, she smiled and went right down, she looked everywhere around,
But she could not find her soldier son in sight.
But as all the people passed, she saw her son at last
And when she did, she could hardly believe her eyes.
His young face was all shot up, and one hand had been blown off,
And he wore a metal brace around his waist.
He whispered kind of slow, in a voice she did not know,
And she could not even recognize his face.
She said, "Oh, my darling son, Lord, tell me what they’ve done.
How is it that you ended up this way?"
He tried his best to speak, but his mouth could hardly move,
And his mother had to turn her face away.
"Don't you remember, Ma, when I went off to war,
You thought it was the best thing I could do?
When I was on that battleground, you were home an’ acting proud.
Be glad that you weren’t standing in my shoes.
And I thought when I was there, ‘God, what am I doing here?
Just tryin’ to kill somebody or DIE tryin'.’
But the thing that scared me most, when my enemy came up close,
I saw his frightened face looked just like mine.
Lord, just like mine!
Then I couldn't help but think, through that thunder and the stink,
I was only one more puppet in their play.
And through the roar and smoke, that string, it finally broke,
And a blast of fire blew my eyes away."
When the young man tried to walk, his mother was still in shock,
As she saw that metal brace that helped him stand.
But as they turned to go, he held his mother close,
And he dropped his medals down into her hand.

-Putin uses show of force
-It's super effective!
Pretty basic stuff but don't show this to the Ukrainians who are supposed to be manning the foxholes on the border when the Russians come over. ;-)
Compare those missile plumes against the pics if the plumes off the coast of California and tell me this wasn't a missile fired as a warning.
http://youtu.be/7AMdHBgHtNE
Everyone here pretty much got that part.
But what can you do? Yeah we're sitting ducks. Let me show you my surprised face.
Russian military have taken the lessons of the US massacre of under armed and non mobile third rate nations. The lesson is that the US presfers to attack from the air and not engage ground troops except for occupation duty. Taking the lesson, Russia has a priority number one the mobile nature of it's defenses. To hope to survive the initial American blitz from the air, defenses must be totally mobile, and so too the radars and passive detectors. Nothing can have a fixed site to target, defenses must move and always exist as a part of numerous decoy systems. This makes a shock and awe take down of air defenses impossible. The next lesson is to defend your more important missiles, like S-400 and S-300 with their own array of mobile defense. Thus TOR M2u is tasked with defending S-400 as it engages the major US air attack force at long range.
The Serbian war, where Serbia was faced by the entire NATO air forces, showed that mobile forces with numerous decoys can survive NATO's air armada. Being weak and outdated, Serbia could not inflict losses, but they did prove able to survive repeated attack attempts. NATO hit hundreds of decoys and almost no real vehicles or missile systems. Russia has both this mobile and now very effective anti aircraft missiles systems.
Another lesson is that radar tells NATO where you are. Thus it is mobile, switching on only when needed and shutting down quickly and moving. The air defense detection and tracking has added passive computer controlled electronic emission detectors which use the NATO aircarfts own radars, communications and navigation system to get the signature of NATO planes and missiles, they can then be tracked without tell tale radar emissions, and fire control radar can swith on only when needed.
It goes without saying that the NATO force has never operated against a 21st century top of the line and inovative set of overlapping air defense systems. The very few times since World War two in which relatively modern Russian missile systems were used, late stage Vietnam and the 1973 Israel/Egypt war resulted in relatively heavy losses for the Air Forces. Both cases can be googled and studied, I will not provide that information as it is easy enough to verify what I said.
Russia knows it is heavily outnumbered, outspent and outgunned. But they are purely on a defensive mission on their own home soil, this offers huge advantages. These also are well known in the military community. Interior libnes of communication, knowledge of region, the ability to respond only when it is favorable. The ability of TOR M2u to track and fire missiles while moving is something NATO has never seen. S-400 and it's various radars can move quickly of hide easily along with many decoys, it need only stop for a few short minutes to engage enemy planes, missiles and smart bombs. The TOR system especially is designed to take down smart bombs.
Infantry of the Russian Federation come with their own moble and hand held anti aircraft missiles. East Ukraine shot down 3-4 Ukrainian army helicopters using less than ultra modern hand held missiles, Russian infantry have considerably better and more modern such systems.
In an air war, Russia would make NATO pay a very, very heavy price for it's attack on Russia. In all out war, short of nuclear, NATO has the size and scale of forces to win, but only after a mega bloodbath. Is Germany ready to brury 300,000 young men, just to say they now control Ukraine? You have to look at gains versus costs. ANy rational EU leader can see that gains in pride and power are minimal compared to the price the Russian Federation is going to take. In short, NATO's desire to attack and defeat Russia is real, and they seem every day to be moving towards the goal of war. What NATO isn't counting is the lack of civilian support for the political neo-cons getting to win their agenda against Russia, the people are not going to back the NAZI agenda of NATO. Even when NATO deploys their Right Sector shock troops to kill dozens of enemies of NATO, the civilian support is not there.
We pay the tazes, we send our kids to be the military, and WE and the Europeans, do NOT buy into the bag of lies NATO, Obama and AIPAC controlled congress and the media try and sell us.
They want to take us to war, we do not want to go. The real battle should be between we the real citizens and tax payers, against the elite neo-con cabal of liars and whores and war mongers who sit at home and demand war!

Decent analysis, for what it is. But the numbers are too small. Casualties would likely be higher in a conventional conflict.
The problem is that Germany's experience and viewpoint is that energy is their center of gravity, their life-blood. By maneuvering to prevent them from gaining diversified supply, Putin is putting his boot on their necks.
Germans will shy away, at first. Then they will intiate unconventional operations. (probably already have)
But, what happens when Europe is in the process of economic debt-induced collapse?
The more miserable EU nations become, the more willing they will be to sacrifice. And from that point things will get very, very nasty.
Imagine Al Queda's tactics equipped with German technology.
This is the problem with Russia's whole geopolitical strategy on energy with Europe. In winning they will create a situation that is even worse than if they lost.
It won't be officially 'war reparations' that trigger the dissatisfaction, cynicism, and willingness to lash out. It is the aggressive domination that does it.
'The Whopper' from 1983's "War Games" is right. The only way to win is to choose not to play.
in the nuclear war Germany will not burn 300.000 young men, but 60.000.000 Germans + 20.000.000 turks, africans and asiats.
it will be a nuclear war, not conventional.
rusisa will hit the a-power plants and not military facilities, they will exterminate planet by hiting 300 nuclear power plants in EU and US. they will not go after the military targets.. this is the doctrine of the nuclear war , NATO and Ru will do it that way.
then imagine Al Qaeda turning on Germany as they did on America and blowing up German cities, then it's exposed Frau Merkel sent them the weapons? Germany would collapse then all of Europe would collapse and become quasi-Al Qaeda territory under the combined political & economic failure.
Germans aren't stupid: seeing such an outcome far in advance they would never permit this to begin.
The krauts permitted Hitler...
the old ones did, now the generations following won't permit a repeat.
Yes. And the battlefield primarily will be the NATO countries, especially those little US pgymy puppets.
Russia doesn’t want those territories. But if there is a battle she will take Ukraine and Byelorussia (Belarus) because they are part of the Slavic state that Russians would accept. In his 1990 article, “How to Revitalize Russia,” Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn shrugged off the draining influence of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, along with the Caucasian republics, but when it came to Ukraine he was positive on its inclusion if there was a Russian union.
To Russians, Ukraine was always a part of the heartland and as Putin said to the second George Bush, “You have to understand, George, Ukraine is not even a country."
Solzhenitsyn's major point, as he wrote in 1990, was that amid a future of democracy and free enterprise, the Soviet Union must be disbanded and the Slavic nation resurrected, ending an old and unjust colonial empire that, he asserted, had been sapping the Russian heartland. In making the point, Solzhenitsyn wanted to consolidate a nation around the Slavic peoples: the three Slavic republics (Russia, Ukraine and Belarus) and a Russified portion of a fourth (Kazakhstan).
Solzhenitsyn's article had strong criticism of former communists such as Lenin who he called "Ilyich the First," to Brezhnev, who he called Pig Ilyich the Second," and various gangs of selfish "looters," who were rulers.
Solzhenitsyn had praised Vladimir Putin and he was the first post-Soviet leader to deliver a state prize to Solzhenitsyn, delivering it personally at his home June 12, 2007. Putin said Solzhenitsyn was "a strong, courageous person with enormous dignity."
Don't forget the Offensive Capabilities. Mr. Burton.
Their Long Range Cruise Missiles have Long Legs. At least one Model won't have to leave Russian AirSpace to reach a good portion of the US - on Both Coasts. That would mean that DEU, DNK, POL, and others' Land Assets would be a grave risk if it escalates. Do I think RUS will torch their Assets first? No. The Right Sector and/or NATO will eventually pull a stunt (like bombing Pipelines or hitting Civilian Targets en masse(already started) in East UKR or in Russia. Once NATO's hand in the aforemetioned is confirmed, the retailation will proably include the neutralization of the Industrial Infrastructure along with Military Assets in NATO Countries.
IMHO, only the "Powers and Principalities" behind UKR Oligarchs, their Pillaging Friends, Public Bank Usurpers(IIRC, UKR's Central_Bank was State-owned), and NATO War/Coup-Mongers want the War; and they're probably desparate to justify their stance before they're forced into Retirement.
"Frau Bundeskanzlerin" (Merkel) will probably be stopped by DEU Industry Leaders and Labor Force from committing to any Armed Conflicts in UKR, since UKR isn't a Member, and RUS and DEU value each other as Trading Partners. As we've all had the chance to observe, USA Geopolitic Strategists like Mr. Brzezinski (Sr. - and I think Jr. as USA Ambassador had convinced SWE to send Grippens over to the Region), New American Century Party, Ms. Nuland-Kagan along with Oil Sith Lord Cheney and Company tend to be Chickenhawks - willing to send in others to Kill and Die to realize their Plans.
I don't think the Germans, Swedes, Danes, and the French would like to see their Land and Industry torched, or send in their Sons and Daughters to die for UKR Oligarchs who've Corrupted the Govt with a Coup - especially when there are no guarrantees that the Election Results produce a Corruption/Right Sector/CoupMongeringOligarch - Free Govt.
Add PRC and IND's moral support of and Trade with RUS, any acts that would seek to isolate RUS economically has the potential of getting those two Nations involved in a retaliatory Boycott.
Armed Conflicts on behalf of UKR is a lost cause for NATO. The Western Region may collapse; and theSouth/East Regions have many native Russians and those who work in RUS - who've recently been told that they were about to be marginalizied by Kiev.
Of course, Citizens of the USA are pretty sick and tired of this Geopoltic Checkers too. With the East and South about to Declare their Independence and desired Union with RUS, the "Self Determination Clause" will kick in to act as a Coffin Nail to Oligarchs' and Warmongers' arguments for "Defense of Democracy" Motivations for War.
BTW, FYI - Your Favorite Crimean Prosecutor has a Fan Page on FB, since she has too many BFFs there. ^_^
“On April 26, Ukraine closed sluices of the North Crimean Canal, halting water supply from the Dnieper River to the peninsula.
“Crimea received 85% of fresh water through the canal, which was built in 1961-1971. It streches from the Kakhovka Reservoir to Kerch.
“Crimean Prime Minister Sergey Aksyonov told the Crimea Inform news agency that restrictions on the supply of water to Crimea is an act of sabotage. …
“The prime minister said that the Crimean authorities were engaged in negotiations with all agricultural producers who have been cut off from water supply from the North Crimean Canal. ‘The rice situation is the worst. Crimea is redrawing the map of crop areas in regions where irrigation may not be available,’ he said, adding that alternative areas were being offered to agricultural producers.
“’We are also considering an alternative plan for drilling wells and we are working on this day and night,” he added.”

That was needed.
Good to see that gravity still works.
Putin is as full of shit saying everyone who opposes him is a Nazi as Obama saying everyone who opposes him is a racist.
this whole thing sucks
It is Putin who has earned the wrath of the Bilderberg group, the Trilateral Commission and the Council on Foreign Relations as well as the international oligarchs bent on world domination, as well as the US/Israeli-controlled media because he has turned the tables on the oligarchs' dream of world government. While Obama calls all of his opponents "racists," Putin only calls the self-called neo-Nazis "Nazis."
Putin and Obana are not on the same level of leadership.
Putin is the leader of his country and speaks freely about Russian interests. Obama is a puppet of the cartel and is allowed to say socialist things and use basketball jargon and play golf whenever he wants. But he is not permitted to talk about the cartel or question its decisions.
Do not be deceived.
Putin either gets his orders from the heads of these groups, or is playing into their scheme perfectly.
That my friend is the truth.
No one, in power is against what is happening right now. It is all by Design.
It’s clear to me that Obama is working with the communists and NOT Putin.
The West’s oligarchs are demonizing Putin “because Putin is viewed as an ideologically based force representing a long-standing, deeply rooted Russian nationalist ideology, one closely bound to the Orthodox Christian faith.”
Michael Piper explains in “Ideology Underlies Opposition to Putin” why Putin is cast by the media heirs of Wall Street profiteer Eugene Meyer of Fed and Washington Post fame et al., as Stalin reborn, even as ‘the new Hitler’:
“Not in modern times has there been one such as Putin, rising up to challenge what is known as the New World Order and the war on Christian tradition. A careful survey of the elite media in recent weeks underscores the fact that the global elite are very much concerned about the nationalist ideology taking hold in Russia under Putin.".
Putin signed his media death notice when he turned the tables on Russia’s so-called oligarchs – a handful of largely Jewish plutocrats (many of whom also hold Israeli Jewish citizenship).
Writes Sharon Tennison, president and founder of the Center for Citizen Initiatives, in an article today on Global Research (excerpt):
“December 31, 1999: With no warning, at the turn of the year, President Boris Yeltsin made the announcement to the world that from the next day forward he was vacating his office and leaving Russia in the hands of an unknown Vladimir Putin. …
“February 2000: Almost immediately Putin began putting Russia’s oligarchs on edge. In February a question about the oligarchs came up; he clarified with a question and his answer: 'What should be the relationship with the so-called oligarchs? The same as anyone else. The same as the owner of a small bakery or a shoe repair shop.' This was the first signal that the tycoons would no longer be able to flaunt government regulations or count on special access in the Kremlin. It also made the West’s capitalists nervous. After all, these oligarchs were wealthy untouchable businessmen––good capitalists, never mind that they got their enterprises illegally and were putting their profits in offshore banks.
“Four months later Putin called a meeting with the oligarchs and gave them his deal: They could keep their illegally-gained wealth-producing Soviet enterprises and they would not be nationalized …. IF taxes were paid on their revenues and if they personally stayed out of politics. This was the first of Putin’s ‘elegant solutions’ to the near impossible challenges facing the new Russia. But the deal also put Putin in crosshairs with US media and officials who then began to champion the oligarchs, particularly (Jewish) Mikhail Khodorkovsky. The latter became highly political, didn’t pay taxes, and prior to being apprehended and jailed was in the process of selling a major portion of Russia’s largest private oil company, Yukos Oil, to Exxon Mobil. Unfortunately, to U.S. media and governing structures, Khodorkovsky became a martyr (and remains so up to today)….
And the rest is made clear in “Who is Vladimir Putin? Why Does the US Government Hate Him?” -- a worthwhile read if you want to better understand and know Putin.

"Good News" from Vlad trick the algos for about 16 hours.
its a damn good thing russia is _not_ preparing for all out war. those morons are preparing for incoming intra-atmosphere nukes? in a way that makes sense considering it seems those same morons seem to only have the capability for launching nuke missiles travelling within atmo. with a little imagination russia would have realized that american nukes are going to be dropped from an altitude or travel at an altitude out of range of those cute little pea shooters russians are probably calling ground 2 air missile defense. this means the nukes are coming from directly overhead of their target and all those cute little pea shooters are going to do is move the missile a few feet to the left or right. that few feet doesn't mean a whole lot when we're talking mile wide blast radii.
if only obama had the balls putin does .... there would be no more putin.
Guidance and active evasion systems on missiles is well established technology.
The problem is that it is done with fine electronics.
Nuclear radiation at the level of refined plutonium play havoc with electronics. Not that it can't be done. But it is not easy.
The SA-21 is probably more effective than the Patriot.
It should be.
The Patriot is 35 years old.

http://www.worldtribune.com/2014/05/07/report-50-injured-blast-iran-nuke...
NICOSIA — Iran has been rocked by huge explosion near a nuclear facility.
The Iranian media have reported an explosion in the northern Iranian city of Qazvin.
The blast, reported on May 6, was said to have taken place near a secret nuclear enrichment facility in Abyek.
“The explosion took place in a storage facility,” Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency, which reported at least 50 injured, said.
Officials said nobody was killed in the explosion. But they acknowledged a huge fire that was sweeping the industrial city, about 130 kilometers north of Teheran.
“Firefighters are trying to prevent the spread of the fire at a car oil storage facility,” Qazvin civil defense director Ali Ahani said.
Iranian opposition sources said scores of people were killed in the blast. They said Iranian Army and security forces closed much of Qazvin,
with a population of 1.1 million.
“It is not certain whether Abyek was the target,” an opposition source said. “But this incident will hamper access to the facility in the short-term.”
...
I feel embarrassed for you folks. This is yet another cry for help from your Russian military.
Czarina Vladima had better modernize this crap he's got in the field ASAP or the Generals are going to have him replaced. A year from now or a decade from now, China is going to eat Russia's cake in the East if the waste siphoned off on corruption isn't put back into real R&D and modern armaments on the ground.
And you think China isn't crawling with corruption? Or America? Fucking 200 million dollar piece of fuck F-35 that would be absolutely destroyed by an F-15 that costs 1/4th as much?
The Russian military is gaining strength relative to the US military because the corruption in the US is even worse than Russia. The American F-14, F-15, F-16, F-18, and the Russian SU-27 are all excellent. The Russians are upgrading their air force to the PAK FA, which is like an improved SU-27. We're downgrading our air force to a bunch of shitty F-35 jets that are inferior to all of the jets I just listed.
It's like a replay of Vietnam. The jets Americans had at the start of the war were vastly inferior to the Russian jets they were up against. This was because the American designers focused on missiles that work beyond visible range, and they removed the machine gun because they assumed dog fighting was a thing of the past. This ws a grave mistake and it led to the design of the F-15 which had a machine gun, better visibility all around, more intuitive controls, and a heads up display.
The F35 is the way is is because they want one aircraft that can serve all purposes. Cheap. Vertical takeoff and landing, no problem. Advanced air to air fighter no problem. A great floor wax and dessert topping! Sure. Fighter-bomber? F-111, ME-262? Space shuttle? All these cross purpose platforms have failed. They could share many components but the allure of cost savings triumps.

Military dick waving. I see their shwartz is as big as ours
That's the point.
Just making it plain to their own people and the US that Russia is not Libya, or Syria. They know the US under current management, like the EU, is a cowardly bully. So Putin is just making sure the bully knows what will be coming his way if he gets involved militarily with Russia.
So they are prepared to launch a nuclear war... they are not prepard to survive one. Nobody is.
Oh they are. You assume they plan to nuke the whole planet clean of life. Study the wind and water currents to know where they plan to hide and reestablish 'civilization' afterwards based upon prime targets now.
I seem to remember reading something a few years back about Russia building bomb shelters every few blocks in some major cities. That happened about the time i could not beg, borrow, or steal rebar in the Denver area.
Not that I want WW3 but you don't suppose Putin is Kimjongil on steroids?
So many missiles. If only Freud was alive. He'd be accusing someone of having dick issues.

Just some M.A.D. jawboning... I believe in my heart of hearts no politician is stupid enough to destroy the entire planet with nukes. It's just the threat of using them to get people to talk... same as it ever was.
If they killed everyone and everything who would they have to lord over, manipulate, and steal from?
The Cuban missile crisis came real close to happening for real. ANYTHING can happen, never say never. The west needs to back off and put a wider margin of saftey into this thing. The Russians are not playing. The dollar is going to die, the empire is going to fade, nothing is going to stop that anyway, just prepare for it and stop fucking around with WWIII.
More rockets than I have forge fleas on a good day !
Wow...after watching that, I feel like smoking a cigarette...
Total war.
No. This is "limited" war. The US is engaged in total war, which encompasses a full-scale propaganda campaign, total economic control (and the ability to wage economic war) and military strength.

Gee, 60's vintage unguided rocket launchers, 30 year old navy ships, and an airplane from when Eisenhower was President. Scary? Not so much.
I hope the apes don't take over aftwards, that would suck pretty bad...
Is it just me that sees that everyone is an armchair general now telling me whos toys will work the best, what ambitions each side has, ect. ect.
Let me tell you something about a real war with a real opponent, It's a great big clusterfuck. with big suprises, unknown outcomes and plans by both sides that go arwy, and lots of useless death and trajedy by people who really did nothing wrong other than obeying coercion.
All I really know about Crimea for certain is they have some awesome tomatoes. Black Krim tomatoes. Dark purple tomatoes that have a smokey salty taste that must be experienced to believe. But then again I also grow Arkansas Traveler tomatoes a 100 year old heirloom from right here that will outperform almost anything I have tried. Tons of baseball size pink tomatoes with that old time tomatoe flavor.
I had an uncle who worked on the tomahawk missle and ended up head of the Aegis Missle program. Smartest dumbass I ever knew. I told him one time at Chrismas after he was bragging endlessly about his accomplishments that it was surely a tragedy that he chose to use his so called intelligence toward the destuction of humans rather than use his abilities for something that could benefit the human race. He got pissed off and never talked to me again and Im glad.
Think I'll just spend this year trying to cross bred a better tomatoe. An f1 cross from the best of their world and the best from mine. Prolly take me 5 more years to stabilize it to breed true to type open pollinated so the whole world can use it for free
How many of them turmatoes can a feller get for a silver eagle these daze?
Black Krim are amazing. Also like Crnkovic, although they're on the complete other side for taste. I'll have to look out for the Arkansas Traveler.
This is where it's advantageous to be an urban tool. Seriously tho, everyone here seems to bout Russia's might. Still 1/2 of US if we had a CIC with a penile. Maybe MishO can make up for the lost testosterone.
Some Romanian Orthodox priests in some villages in Northern Romania, close to the border with Ukraine, are telling people to prepare for nuclear war in June 2014.
Apparently, a priest monk Iustin Parvu, made a prediction in 2013, just 5 days before he died, saying " you only have 12 months of peace and then the War will start".
The priest died in June 2013.
The story was investigated by Adevarul, the second biggest newspaper in Romania.

sorry, it's in Romanian, Google Translate might help.
So... what.
There is no way on earth Russia will instigate a nuclear war. They don't have the GDP to back up a military operation against Europe. Putin is on a quest for vainglory, possibly to upset some borders in order to be remembered historically as an expander, not a divider, but not much else.
Relax.
Stunning Stupidity on display
Never fear, Obama will be OK. Russia can't keep track of which golf course he'll be on.
Spike is little and he's always mad at me but he's always thinkin'. Hi, I'm Lenny. My biggest thing is bein' big and I got two big cured hams for fists. My neck goes right down to my shoulders. So now I go in a dig tunnels under buildings in Damascus, 'cuz thats what he sed to do. And now I'm goin' all the way up to Ukraininia, cuz Spike sez we got to stir things up. But he's still mad 'cuz i don't go over to Tehrain and smash in the Iatola Hominy's skull box. Spike? I'll do it I clobber everyone you say and catch 'em on fires and chopped off their heds if it will make you happy, cuz that frown and wrinkled forehead makes me worry you're not happy. Spike? Whoop di do. Must be fun to waste billions of rubles showing off. Tomorrow we'll see the U.S. Army roll out its version and we won't be able to tell the difference.

Hey, that reminds me to renew my subscription to Jane's Defence Weekly.
A lot of you guys have made a classic mistake: thinking that a nuclear war is somehow "ultimate" and will result in "the end of the world." It isn't and it won't.
All they need to do is hit various American leadership points and the rest of the population will be stumbling around looking for a handout.
They've already infiltrated every bureaucracy, top miltary and political posts. Oh and by the way, American nuclear power plants are typically guarded by Israeli-owned security companies. Checkmate, morons.

Is this a propaganda clip from the Ministry of Truth or the Voice of America, who just timely proved Russia´s deadly threat to world peace. Next time around this may be forgotten and Russia will be presented as a old trusted ally against the horrible Sino imperialism.
There will be no nukes. Crisis actors and old nuclear clips will do.

The War to end all Wars
Unguided rockets are easily defeated by shovels. Dig foxholes, rockets blow up on the ground, nearly everyone survives. Expensive rockets all gone, guys with shovels still have their weapons.
Fans of EMP weapons should read the fiction work "One Second After". IMO, a very realistic protrayal of what life would be like after an EMP strike. Good read. We're fucked if someone ever does use a "large" EMP weapon, or multiple smaller ones.
Putin continuing to speak softly (or not at all lately) whilst letting his big stick show. Those Zionist led NATO brain dead fucks better not poke that bear too hard in the eye with their shenanigans. They won't be controlling the narrative in this kind of a war because they, along with everybody else, will be dead.
Well, it sure is apparent that as we've been told rather endlessly that all those demoralized Russian conscripts aren't capable of fighting, and that Russian technology is way back in the stone ages. I don't think that we have anything to worry about.

Submitted by Brandon Smith of Alt-Market blog,
Despite popular belief, very few things in our world are exactly what they seem. That which is painted as righteous is often evil. That which is painted as kind is often malicious. That which is painted as simple is often complex. That which is painted as complex often ends up being disturbingly two dimensional. Regardless, if a person is willing to look only at the immediate surface of a thing, he will never understand the content of the thing.
This fact is nowhere more evident than in the growing “tensions” between the elites of the West and the elites of the East over the crisis in Ukraine.
I am continually astonished at the refusal of many otherwise intelligent people to consider the evidence or even the possibility that there is, in reality, no fundamental political or philosophical conflict between the power brokers of the East and the West. As I outlined in great detail inRussia Is Dominated By Global Banks, Too, the truth is they are both working toward the same goal; and both ultimately benefit from an engineered and theatrical display of international brinksmanship.
Russia, like the United States, is utterly beholden to globalist financiers through organizations like the International Monetary Fund and the Bank for International Settlements. Russia’s global economic adviser in matters ranging from investment image to privatization is none other than Goldman Sachs.
Goldman Sachs has also worked closely with the Ukrainian government since 2011, and it started its advisory work with Ukraine for free. (Whenever Goldman Sachs does something for free, one should take special note.) Banking elites have been working both sides of the fence during the Russia versus Ukraine charade.
Russia has continued to borrow billions of dollars from Western banks, including Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse, year after year, proving that they are not averse in the slightest to working closely with "evil Western robber barons".
Russian President Vladimir Putin meets with Mr. New-World-Order himself, Henry Kissinger, on a regular basis; and according to Putin’s press secretary, they are “old friends.” Putin’s meetings with Kissinger began almost immediately after he first took power in 2000.
Putin’s relationship with Kissinger has been so pronounced that the Russian Foreign Ministry gave Kissinger anhonorary doctorate in diplomacy, and Putin placed Kissinger at the head of a bilateral “working group” — along with former KGB head and multilateralist (globalist) Gen. Yevgeny Primakov — dealing with foreign policy.
In more recent news, I would also remind pro-Putin cheerleaders that Putin and the Kremlin first pushed for the IMF to take control of the Ukrainian economy, and the IMF is now demandingthat Ukraine fight Russia in exchange for financial support. This might seem like irony to more foolhardy observers; but to those who are aware of the false East/West paradigm, it is all the part of a greater plan for consolidation of power.
Clearly, Putin and Russia are just two more puppet pieces on the globalist chessboard, pitted against other puppets in the West in a grand theater designed to distract and divide the masses through chaos. As Kissinger points out, in crisis there is opportunity.
What is the goal? They’ve already told us, openly, on numerous occasions.
The first great prizes of the New World Order are a global currency and centralized economic control. The elites are not satisfied with quiet dominance of individual economies. They want complete political homogenization and the end of all sovereignty. Period. With a global currency in place, the steps towards global government become quick and small.
Heads of state from around the world, including Putin, as well as international bankers and IMF representatives have all publicly called for the IMF to take charge of the global economic system through its Special Drawing Rights currency program.
However, for the SDR to become a dominant currency, certain issues must be resolved. Here’s a short list.
The U.S. Dollar Must Fall
The dollar must lose its world reserve status, and most likely collapse in relative value, before the SDR can be elevated. This is where mainstream pundits lose track of the facts. For them, the dollar is an invincible monetary element, a currency product as infinite as time. Their normalcy bias prevents them from ever acknowledging the many weaknesses of the Federal Reserve note, including our country’s inability to ever service its more than $200 trillion debt. Others believe the dollar is the NWO currency, and that the globalists are somehow U.S.-centric. The evidence posted above suggests otherwise. Globalists have no loyalty to any nation or culture. Their only loyalty is to the progression of their own power. If sacrificing the dollar or the U.S. as a whole furthers that power, then they will have no problem cutting us loose like a rotting appendage.
A Liquidity Replacement Must Be Introduced
As my regular readers know, I have been covering China’s progression toward a decoupling from the U.S. economy for years. China, in my view, has always been the key to the elitist shift into a truly global currency mechanism. The primary argument in the mainstream against the idea of a dollar collapse is that there is no other currency with ample liquidity to take the dollar’s place. Well, in the past couple of years, this has changed.
China and the banks it controls have issued approximately $25 trillion in debt instruments and monetization. This is often referred to as a “debt bubble” created through panic and a weakness in China’s economy and a response to slowed quantitative easing in the United States. I would take a slightly different position. China began issuing Yuan denominated debt instruments in 2005, years before the mainstream had any inkling of the impending derivatives collapse. From then up to today, there has been no practical purpose for China to produce these Yuan denominated equities and securities, unless their target has always been to expand the Yuan market in a covert way.
I would say that China’s monetization has been carefully and deliberately engineered in order to lay the foundation for a massive liquidity spike in the Yuan. The argument that China’s incredible debt generation is a sign of impending collapse may be misguided. U.S. debt, including unfunded liabilities, absolutely dwarfs China’s $25 trillion. China's Yuan debt has barely had time to accrue concrete interest. The U.S., on the other hand, is caught in an endless cycle of interest payments that are slowly but surely eating away the skeleton of our fiscal structure. If any economy is on the verge of implosion, it is that of the United States, not of China.
The Chinese need exponential Yuan circulation. They do not want the Yuan to replace the dollar; instead, they are preparing it for induction into the IMF’s Special Drawing Rights basket. WithChina set to become the world largest economy this year according to World Bank, their inclusion is assured.
But, when might this occur?
The IMF holds an international conference and policy meeting on the SDR every five years. During these meetings, the IMF decides if it will absorb a new currency into the basket and if it will expand the creation or circulation of SDRs around the world. Interestingly, the next IMF conference on the SDR just happens to be scheduled for the end of 2014 to the beginning of 2015.
Another strange coincidence: The U.S. Congress was supposed to vote on legislation for further capital allocations to the IMF by April. The vote never came. The new allocations were to fund an expansion of IMF programs and help with the greater inclusion of BRIC nations in governing decisions. If the U.S. government does not pass this legislation, Russia and other nations have demanded that the IMF move forward without the United States on reforms. At the very least, the U.S. would lose its veto power over IMF decisions. I believe that the timing of this is deliberate, that the U.S. is meant to lose its veto power and that the simultaneous SDR conference will announce the inclusion of the Chinese Yuan, setting the stage for the replacement of the dollar as world reserve.
The SDR will not immediately be issued as a commonly traded currency itself. Rather, the IMF will take over management of included currencies and denominate those currencies using SDR valuations. For example, $1 U.S. is worth only .64 SDR today. In the near future, I expect that the dollar will plummet in relation to the SDR’s value. We will still have our greenbacks when the IMF begins administrating our currency system, but the international and domestic worth of those greenbacks will fall to pennies. In turn, other currencies with stronger economic positions will rise in worth relative to the SDR.
I believe one of the primary determinations in a currency’s value compared to the SDR will be a country’s stockpile of gold. This is why Russia and China in particular have been purchasing precious metals at an unheard-of rate (and why U.S. gold reserves have never been audited). The IMF itself is one of the world’s largest holders of physical gold, with nearly 3,000 metric tons (officially). With the crash of the dollar system and investors clamoring for a reliable hedge to protect whatever savings they have left, gold could conceivably skyrocket into the $5,000 to $10,000 per-ounce range. Governments holding the metal will be favorably placed during an implementation of the SDR as the new reserve standard.
A Cover Event Must Be Created
The centralization of power is best achieved during moments of bewildering calamity. The conjuring of crises is one of the oldest methods of elitist dominance. Not only can they confuse and frighten the masses into malleability, but they can also ride to the public’s rescue as heroes and saviors later on. The Hegelian dialectic is the mainstay of tyrants.
The destruction of the dollar and the institution of a global economic bureaucracy are not actions that can be executed openly by international financiers. These events will coincide with extreme catastrophe, likely worse than the Great Depression era, with millions upon millions of people losing the ability to financially support themselves and their families. Crime, death and public discontent will surely follow. People will be looking for someone to blame. This is where the false East/West paradigm comes in.
It is widely expected that as sanctions snowball between Russia and the U.S. that the dollar will end up on the chopping block. China has asserted its support for Russia in opposition to NATO interference in Ukraine. The stage has been set. I have warned for quite some time that the development of East/West tensions would be used as a cover for a collapse of the dollar system. I have warned that among the American media this collapse would be blamed on an Eastern dump of foreign exchange reserves and treasuries, resulting in a global domino-effect ending U.S. world reserve status. In turn, the international community would be conditioned to see this as the mere bumbling of a spoiled America gone power-mad, rather than the result of a covert program of economic destabilization. This might lead to all-out war or a fiscal firestorm that leaves much of the world crippled and desperate for aid.
In either case, the elitist plan is to use scapegoats and false enemies to draw our attention away from the real culprits: the international banks themselves. Make no mistake: This fight is not about President Barack Obama, it is not about Putin and it is not even about the Federal Reserve. These men are tools, errand boys, public mascots. Do not be fooled by the global stage play being perpetrated. Whatever happens in Ukraine and whatever happens between Russia, China and the West, there are only two real sides to this battle: the elitist establishment, and those who are smart enough to recognize their poison.

It's a very interesting perspective. While I totally agree with the author that most things are never what they seem on the surface, the argument that "the elites" are playing the East vs West game for show requires a lot more concrete evidence than the author can possibly offer. Thought-provoking theories are always welcome, however.
I cannot find any evidence that leaders of Russia and China are friends or cohorts of the "elites" in this currency game. They have their own government-controlled central banks (in total harmony with the US Constitution), unlike the US, and most of Europe (private central banks). I believe members of their senior political class have "wised up" to the game the Western central banksters are playing. Given the size and resources of the two countries, they don't need to play along as junior partners with anyone in the West. Obviously it will be to their advantage to avoid a hostile showdown if possible, or delay it as long as possible when they are gaining power rapidly. Why physically tackle a 400 pound sick fat ass now when he is losing 50 pounds a month due to terminal cancer? Just wait a little longer and let the fat ass die on his own.
The SDR is an accounting unit, not a currency. Given the way America is committing suicide, I don't see why they would be genuinely interested being "partners" of the IMF and the World Bank, or why their calls for de-Americanization, and establishing their own equivalents could be anything less than genuine. They are on a path to complete liberation from the Western banking system. There is really not much the West can do to stop it besides starting a nuclear exchange.
I am of the opinion that it's in their interests, particularly China's interests, to keep the current pace of change going as quietly as possible, so that they can take full advantage of Western central banks' desperate attempts to suppress gold and other precious metals. Avoid diplomatic animosity as far as possible while accelerate the development of their military muscle, especially the navy. In a few years, NATO will likely find that their carrots are short and their sticks even shorter.
I agree with the author that China's currency expansion will likely be a colossal blessing rather than curse when the US petrodollar reign ends.
I hate to type this but I would rather be killed by the Russians than by my own USA military or government.
Call me crazy but I do not like the idea of being killed by my own people and do not want them to have the satisfaction that they apparently enjoy by killing people.
We are in deep trouble in the USA.
I hate to tell you this but you WILL suffer and perish at the hands of your own people, government or military, unless you renounce US citizenship and manage to get PR in another country.

Allowing events to deteriorate into a major war or possibly into what some see as World War III is becoming a reality. As insane as it appears this could become the final outcome.
The location of this as a military confrontation is right in Putin's backyard and this is a strong advantage for Russia. It is silly to think Putin and Russia will back down. This means poking the bear and putting him in a corner is not a smart move. More about this subject in the article below.

Putin is a serious person. Intelligent, patriotic in an intelligent way not just jingoism. He has a personal standard of honor. He is not terribly interested in any particular plan of domination of any country or sphere. Only so far as it pertains to allowing him to do the best for Russia. Get in the way of that and he will likely enact multi level long term plans. He rose to and maintained power in Russia. Not in the BS system of western style politics. He is used to watching his own back, having contingency plans on contingency plans. The politics and power plays he rose through in Russia are literal back stabbing situations.
Take a look at this article about actual interactions with the man from several people. He has a personal code of honor. It is unwise to trifle with such a person. Unwise to reneg on deals. Which the west has done continuously. I doubt he has any respect for US politicians or many EU ones.
Besides the link below. Consider the subtle way he informed the German chancellor that he had her number. http://www.worldcrunch.com/ukraine-winter/merkel-and-putin-it-039-s-comp...

Who there is taking a potential threat from a Russian/NATO conflict serious?
Maybe they're right. As long as Russia is facing trannies like these, they will never move any closer to Europe.
Putin is worth 100 billion they say.
He is not a messiah. Everyone is
looking for a saviour its really out of control these days.
Obama falls into the catagory.
Putin wants to maintain his lifestyle of the rich and powerful.
The USA wants to Gadaffi him in the streets of Moscow.
They tried the color revolution thing with Femen and Gays, it failed
because it was an old strategy from the Arab Spring.
He knows what they want, they want the oil in Siberia for themselves
but how can they occupy a country as vast as Russia, they can't.
Forbes says he is worth 3 Billion, Bloomberg 46 billion, most of these calculations are taken by adding on the gross worth of any companies he has any means of control on to his total worth, so you end up with some rather extreme figures, using the same formula Yellens worth is in the trillions.
As the article says, things are getting intense. One main reason for that is that on April 26, Ukraine closed sluices of the North Crimean Canal, halting water supply from the Dnieper River to the Crimean peninsula. Those folks need water since that source supplied about 85% of their water. They don't have much time - Putin can say whatever he wants in public he needs to open up that territory to get water in.
So, let him say whatever he wants on TV about postponing the referendums or welcoming Ukrainian elections, it's not true - not any of it. He is between a rock and a hard place, that's for sure. He needs to act - and quickly. With the water shut off in Crimea and no practical way to supply it, except over land through eastern/southern Ukraine, he's got only a few weeks before things get pretty bad in Crimea.Whatever he says in public, about wanting a delay in the referendums, you can be sure that in private, he is trying to push things along as quickly as he can. Things are not going well. The guys in Kiev are a lot smarter than he gave them credit for. Opinion polls in Ukraine are decidedly unfavorable toward his cause. He can't invade because the economic sanctions would bring Russia to her knees pretty quickly. She is not strong.
Putin is like Yuri Dolgorukiy of old (c. 1140). Dolgorukiy is an epithet signifying "long armed". When his lands fell apart, Yuri made a long-arm reached for the throne of Kiev. Likewise, Putin's land has been hit hard by the economic crisis and so he is making the same reach.
Yes, Russia is in bad shape. Poverty is severe throughout the country (except Moscow (and Petersburg) where oligarchs feast on baked sterlet in caviar sauce at the exquisite Cafe Pushkin). In addition, endemic alcoholism and drug abuse have taken a heavy toll throughout the land. Witness the recent Kremlin campaign against vodka. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, fetal alcohol syndrome produces delinquent and violent behavior later in life. A frightening thought is that Putin could have an army of soldiers capable of the most extreme acts of brutality without conscience AT ALL because their brains have been damaged by maternal alcohol abuse during pregnancy. A whole nation’s alcoholism is a tragedy, but also a symptom of something far larger, of a collective breakdown.
There is a monetary side to the invasion of Ukraine that needs to be considered. Putin needs to expand his domestic money supply to have the resources to deal with the serious domestic issues -- but he can't without causing inflation. US dollar hegemony prevents him from expanding at all. He knows well that runaway inflation = political suicide. However, a brilliant idea appears to have struck him -- expanding his territory gives him the ability to expand the money supply without causing inflation. It probably seems to him as the best path forward out of the current national quagmire. So, like Yuri of old, he's reached out for the throne at Kiev. He is hereby dubbed Vladimir "Dolgorukiy" Putin, and let be know that he wants to sit on the "throne" at Kiev.
You wrote a parody of USA?

'A frightening thought is that Putin could have an army of soldiers capable of the most extreme acts of brutality without conscience AT ALL because their brains have been damaged by maternal alcohol abuse during pregnancy.'
you caught me there, I thought you were referring to the Neo-Nazis currently governing the Ukraine who recently burnt 30 people alive, but then I realised the Neo nazi's are on crack not alcohol,.
It is pretty clear that Moscow is reponsible for those deaths. Not only did Putin's thugs fire on a unarmed crowd of peaceful marchers, killing four people, reports from some survivors of the building fire include bring to light some strange irregularities. Evidently nerve gas was used to paralyze people who were then burned to death. In addition, people were prevented from leaving the most dangerous areas. There is no good explanation for the deaths of so many unfortunate people in such a minor fire. There were people sitting on the roof, laughing, while other people below were unable to escape the fire? It is not reasonable for this to occur without some external intervention. The most gruesome thought is that the pregnant woman put on such hideous display was the work of one of Putin's brutal, sans conscience men.
That episode is a fail for Putin - he had hoped to provoke an outcry against Kiev. The street killings took away the emotional impact, and there is a nagging sense of irregularity in the building fire that even someone who hasn't investigated the reports of survivors has to deal with.
Except for paid trolls like Aussiekiwi.
