When it comes to people-vs-tank videos, Tienanmen Square reigns supreme; but as tensions escalate hyperbolically in Eastern Ukraine, the following clip of a Mariupol soldier taking things into his own hands - and firing an RPG into the face of two oncoming tanks - confirms this nation's divide is growing wider by the day....

As RT reports, the Victory Day 'celebrations' spilled over into deadly clashes between police and pro-Russian separatists after Kiev’s forces are using heavy weaponry and tanks in the eastern city of Mariupol. Sadly, we suspect, Mariupol may become the next Odessa this weekend.

But, as RT reports,
Kiev’s forces are using heavy weaponry and tanks in the eastern city of Mariupol to storm the local Interior Ministry building, where police have barricaded inside. After residents began flocking to the scene, Kiev fighters opened fire on civilians.
Many people came to mark Victory Day, but as the reports of shooting started coming in, they moved on to show support for a few dozen policemen who had barricaded inside the building, refusing to take orders from Kiev.
Federalization supporters screamed “Fascists!” as the Kiev forces approached.
One of the armored vehicles then opened fire at a group of unarmed civilians, according to a self-defense forces’ representative.

Ten people with gunshot wounds have been taken to one of the hospitals in Mariupol, local media reported.
Also, according to the 0629.ua news portal, “a tank was seized at the crossroads of Lenina and Torgovaya streets by the representatives of the Donetsk People’s Republic.”
Mariupol’s residents have put up barricades in the streets, burned tires and turned over cars.

2,000 Takfiri terrorist fighters being deployed from Syria into Kiev
A foreboding “urgent action bulletin” released by the Federal Security Services (FSB) states that President Putin this morning declared that a “State of Red War” now exists and has ordered an “immediate deployment” of the much feared and highly secretive Spetsgruppa A (Alpha Group) forces into Ukraine to counter the estimated 2,000 Takfiri terrorist fighters being deployed from Syria into Kiev by the Obama regime.
A “State of Red War” declaration means that a conflict within or outside of Russia’s borders endangers a “significant” number of Russian speaking peoples and could possibly soon escalate into a “State of Total War”, the latter which allows for the use of nuclear weapons and a full-scale deployment of military forces.
“A large number of terrorist Takfiri fighters in Syria, who bear Saudi and Chechnian nationalities and receive financial and military backup from the Saudi intelligence agency, have been transferred to the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, on several planes to help the Ukrainian army in its fight against the pro-Russian population,” an Arab security official told FNA on Sunday on the condition of anonymity due to the secrecy of the issue.
“The forces have been immediately dispatched to Kramatorsk city in Eastern Ukraine, and are now fighting beside the Ukrainian army forces against the pro-Russians under the name of militias who support the government,” the source added.
The source explained that Saudi Arabia seeks to take revenge from Russia and pro-Russian people in Ukraine due to Moscow’s support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the war on rebel groups."

And all you Slavs need to quit bitching about what the west is or isn't doing. I consider myself fairly well educated on the history of the region going back 3000 years and I really am not sure who the fuck is doing what and who is justified in doing what they are doing. That's how muddled all of the media is coming out of this situation. Putin has a pattern of behavior here that makes it difficult to look on the Russians favorably in this light.
The ideal situation would be to seal the damned borders of Ukraine and let the country fight it out amongst itself without any outside influences. In reality there is no way in hell Putin is letting this just develop organically. And as far as how the US is involved who the fuck knows, I suspect Obama is too incompetent to be in control of much on the Ukraine side other than to throw them money.
Yeah, that guy was firing off to the right over the APC. If he were actually firing on the APC point blank like that we would at least see a secondary explosion, and he likely would have been cut down with gunfire before ever getting that shot off in the first place. The field of fire is back and to the right in this video.

What is happening in Ukraine and the unrest in many areas in the world brings into focus the many conflicts that develop when a region decides to change governments often outside the recognized democratic system of voting. In some cases even after an overwhelming vote such as in Crimea the whole process is called into question.
Unfortunately the American civil war did not resolve the issue of succession forever and definitely was not a template for a solution that should be used in countries across the planet. Bottom-line many in politics are slow to give up control and this will not change. More on this subject below.

The trees are lovely. Are those birches and magnolias? They are in full bloom. It looks like a warm temperate climate. The people look trim, active and healthy. I'll bet you could have a lovely home garden there. The cars look better than I expected. I'll bet its nice to sit on your porch or at a backyard table and have a nice evening picnic. How are the wines? I'd love a nice barbeque pork roast and a carafe of wine and come to learn about the obviously lovely people of the area. Native dancing, holidays I've never heard of. Its great to be alive I'd say.
