Who cares about the economy!

Priorities of the American Socialist/Average European:

Safety > Entitlements > Entertainment > Gay rights > Global warming > Economy > .................... > civil liberties/freedom.

The economy is far down that list.  That is why economic issues don't win elections.  Don't even think about winning an election on a platform of civil liberties.  It's all about 1. perceived safety (e.g. Romney) and 2. entitlements (e.g. Obama).

That would require a functioning supply chain that actually supplies stuff and cheap energy.

Good thing I didn't follow my lifes dream and head over to Europe to work construction.  Whew, flipping burgers is better, assuming we get our min wage pop.

At least in the U.S., services sector means flipping each others burgers and doing each others laundry.

Jesus Christ I walk the beaches in Florida and there's more ink than a Central bank printers convention.  FUUUUUCK, they're so trashy, low class, and yet everyone seems to have them nowadays.

Can you imagine the problems Dermatologists are going to face. The "Heavily tattooed" do like to show off their ink, and that means sunny (warmer) locations.

The geographical areas where UV exposure is significant, and where the known risk of developing melanomas / BCCs / SCCs is greatest . . . .

All tumour classes that can and will metastasise, usually to locations where you definitely do NOT want a tumour (e.g. brain).

The great double irish dutch sandwich. Marginal benefit for the few at the much larger expense for the community. Isn't Europe a great place to be?

This. Under the Irish double tax scam "services" and "profits on those services" are booked to this country (Ireland). In most cases these "services" and the "profits on those services" booked to Ireland create not one single job in this tax jurisdiction.

The only reason why these "services" and "profits on those services" are allocated to Ireland is for tax avoidance/evasion purposes.

Let me summarize the "quality" of things:

Music: Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus (licking plastic penises) and Beard-Woman (Eurovision)

Banking: Printing like mad (providing exactly ZERO value)

Economy: producing nothing of value, shifting jobs to poor countries, fucking up the environment and their Lifes (see: Bangladesh clothing manufacturers as an example).

I could go on and on and on.

A civilization is measured against it's values and whatever it will leave for future generations.  The Italian Renaissance was also "Bankers Madness" but at least they left us Paintings and Florence and Venice to visit.  Future generations will dig up around New York and find several tons of US Government Bonds in some vault.
