The Department of Agriculture Launches Proposal To Purchase Submachine Guns

The following solicitation from the U.S. Department of Agriculture almost defies belief. We’ve seen this type of bizarre behavior before, but it has mostly originated from the American Gestapo, aka the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). I highlighted this trend early last year in my post: Department of Homeland Security to Purchase 7,000 “Assault Weapons”.

What is so important to understand about the current war/civil unrest cycle that the world has now entered into is that it will affect different regions and nations differently. It appears tensions in the Ukraine/Russia region and the Asia/Pacific may rather quickly erupt into a war amongst nation-states. This could ultimately lead to a world war. For the United States region, I predict more of a rebellion and civil unrest scenario that consists of the status quo versus the people. I also think its obvious the status quo knows this, which is why they are stealing everything in sight and setting up a total surveillance state. Things are going to get dicey, but the status quo is in the wrong and they will need to be tossed aside peacefully.

The USDA is made up of the same people that every other civilian government organization is; a bunch of middle aged overweight ninnie paper pushers who I'm sure the majority of, have not ever fired a gun. So if this gun purchase is real, I'm sure it's to spread the purchases across multiple agencies to avoid scrutiny from somewhere. My guess is they're hoarding them for the thousands of Russian soldiers coming in to this country every year that will be the "International Peace Keeping Force" when martial law is declared.
They're to shoot insects, mainly mosquitoes, and there's nothing more dangerous than a wounded mosquito.

Just a few thoughts (for the always lurking anti-gunners out there).
Who conducts the background checks on .gov and its employees who will have these guns? Other .gov employees, perhaps? Personally, I think they're a little lax on the logic in that respect, seventeen trillion in debt isn't exactly the pinnacle of sanity.
And do these Dept. of Agriculture sub-guns come with a little stamp marked USDA Prime affixed under the barrel like a mini bayonet for that clandestine night work at the slaughter house? ;-)

Submachine guns typically use handgun ammo and are for squad use in close quarters urban combat. Not really appropriate for a law enforcement scenario on agricultural land.

It's about controlling the food supply chain in the event of an all out national crisis. These posts about farmers are silly. The DOT is in on it too as well as other agencies.
Dept of Ag and Dept of Transport will not be able to control the supply of food in a national emergency if that emergency is an insurrection. Long supply routes and asymetric warfare favour those doing the uprising.
Half the posters on this forum could make thermite if they so chose. Same with ANFO, IEDs, boobytraps, concealed drop pits, punji sticks etc.
How will they transport food if the rails have been cut by thermite and the roads are lined with IEDs?

Not too forget the ZH article a couple of years ago discussing the best self-defense/martial arts disciplines for a SHTF scenario. I for one finally decided to do something I'd always wanted to do but never found the time and picked a discipline from the ZH article--Hapkido. Now I am a couple of belts away from a black belt, in better shape in my early 40s then I was a decade ago, and have the muscle memory and confidence to react to different attacks with defensive and offensive options. Not much help if a stormtrooper gets to unload 30 rounds from 50-ft away, but certainly offers some tactical choices for a close-in ambush ;)

I assume they are doing this because they plan on seizing every family farm in America when the dollar collapses. But Monanto's farms will remain undisturbed.
When the dollar collapses, the farms that use Monsanto are going to have a difficult time running their equipment and shipping their shit unless we figure out a way to make up for all of that oil that is no longer being imported. Physics will trump greed and corruption any time they go head to head with physics.
Buy your heirloom seeds now why you still can. Learn what grows well where you live and how to harvest the seeds. I am on my second year. The first year was a total bust but I learned a ton. Don't wait until TSHTF to learn how to grow your own food.
Doing that right now. The most significant problem so far is aggressive wildlife. The woodchuck ate the broccoli in a single day when he found it. The birds stripped the blueberry bushes when I planted it. Then they started stripping the sunflowers.
