Caught On Camera: Fire At Fukushima?

Tyler Durden's picture

We are by no means experts at identifying instances of fire caught on camera under low illumination conditions, but the following compressed 3 minute video from the official Tepco YouTube feed (where 1 second of the clip represents 20 seconds in real time) showing the Fukushima nuclear power plant between 8:00pm and 9:00 pm last night, and particularly the segment 1:16 into the clip and continuing for about 30 seconds (or about 6 minutes in the real world), certainly looks disturbing.

That said, we are confident Tepco has a canned and ready for dissemination explanation which soothes away fears that in addition to free gamma rays, the Fukushima sarcophagus is now also in the flambe a la carte business.

We can't wait to hear it.

Something like 80% of the "Japanese" nuclear industry is subcontracted to ... mostly american concerns, including the pre-fuki tepco operations.

And which american concerns are involved? Start with the corporations that recieve the largest tax refunds.

I suspect we're seeing arc welding flash. A good 500 amp stick welder can light up a good sized area and generate a lot of smoke.

Radiation in japan ?  I think it kills mosquitoes  -even before their eggs are hatched. But we never here about this. All we hear is negativity. Eventually, as the radioactivity increases, it will dramatically reduce the cockroach population . But I suppose the media will still complain about this. I'm tired of the nuclear energy industry getting a bum rap. A lot of positive things coming out of Fukishima.

I think you are wrong re: your comments on cockroaches.  There have been many documentaries stating that if a nuclear war was to break out that cockroaches would eventually end up surviving and thriving relatively quickly after it.

Someone posted the other day that the USDJPY was headed to 80.

I said I doubted it because among other major Japanese problems was that  Fukushima was a long way from a solution. When that place finally blows up, the yen will be destroyed...imo.

1988, United Airlines business class, Tokyo-SFO: "so, who do you work for and what were you doing in Japan?" "GE, training Japanese to operate a nuclear power plant in Fukushima." "Hows that going?" "Don't want to be there if anything ever goes wrong!" "Why?" "It's like we're training chimps to operate the thing, they have no concept of what's going on, they just push the buttons."

trusting chimps I guess... in the shoddy American design I mean (maybe you misquoted 'chumps'?)

Anyway I am still not sure how 'chimps' could have caused the tsunami that exposed just how worthless the plant's engineering was from the get go; you figure it must have been their devotion to Shintoism?

This sort of thing is simply going to put out of business manufacturers of great products like the Nano Wand Pen:  http://www.amazon.com/Natural-Health-Alternatives-Point-Energy/dp/B003IL....

Scroll down and look at the fourth and fifth reviews.  Yes, it emits radiation.  But who will need it, with Fukushima available???

Aches and pains. I was looking around for an acupuncture "pen" for a friend who hasn't the courage to treat himself with needles (the pens just provide a mild electrical jolt; I don't know if they actually work). This came up.

So, for $11.04, including shipping (if you are a Prime customer), you can soothe your aches and pains with a little bit of radiation.  I wonder how many people carry these things onto planes; I'm guessing they would set off sensors in airports, given that (per the reviews) they set off sensors in nuclear power plants.  I'll pass.

My husband took this to work at a nuclear power plant and it registered as having radiation so I called to speak to someone who makes these and he said it could do that. I gave mine away. My Husband has not been able to get his back from the plant.
If anyone knows what the benefit is, or if there is research on how it works, please forward that info to me. thanks

This needs some context.

1) Where is this camera? Inside or outside?

2) At what distance from the objects is the camera?

3) What are those objects? Ladders, boxes or 5 storey buildings and towers?

This could a fire inside a storeroom or fog blowing in from the coast, or anything.

The image needs a scale to determine size and distance.

To me it looks like an alien cleanup vapor. You notice that there are no aliens on the video. That's because they don't want you to know that they have our back. If it wasn't for them, hell, I wouldn't be here.

does it make a difference?

every government are lyars.

the fact, that Fukusima explosion released hot particles arround the globe, that fact we shall feel next 4,5*10^14 years.

and it will bounce the civilization back. to the early medieval age.

4,5*10^14 years is 20x longer, then the life span of the earth.

LOL I asked William Banzai of Zero Hedge fame to create some visual combat to help educate people on WIPP, and after a string of comments, this was a result.

Whether you like Obama or not, I think it's hilarious.
