I'm sure this was an isolated incident:

"A press release from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in 2004 announced that many of the new Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) files had become declassified. This declassification enabled the discovery that before and during the early years of World War II, the German government sold a special kind of Reichsmark, known as Rückwanderer [returnee] Marks, to American citizens of German descent. Chase National Bank, along with other businesses, were involved in these transactions. "

Both the Soviets and Americans scooped up the best German scientists at the end of the war.

PS. I have it on good account that Attila the Hun (Nazi you see) and Genghis Khan were financed by Wall St.

Germans are not Huns. The Huns were a distintive migratory group from northern Asia. Just more of the same by the ancient Chinese warlords.

OK, so now I'm confused.

If the Holocaust didn't happen, what did the Nazi's do wrong?

Do we need to "deny" the Nazi's too?

Then, that whole "World War" thing never happened, I guess.

I somewhat sympathize, q99x2, but old-fashioned death controls are NOT a good way to deal with globalized systems of electronic frauds, backed by the force of weapons of mass destruction!

Of course, one of the main reasons WHY the false flag attack on 9/11/2001 was engineered was that traditional Islam outlaws usury. NATO's military forces actually back up the banksters' frauds. Sure, there are natural resources at play, however, the control over the monetary system actually controls the natural resources. Therefore, the military abroad provides the murder systems to back up the globalized monetary systems on behalf of the international banksters, while the police at home provide the threat of murder systems to back up institutions like the IRS, which provide the enforcement to make the frauds of private banks creating the public "money" supply out of nothing as debt be able to be bullshit frauds that can fly.

MONEY IS NECESSARILY MEASUREMENT BACKED BY MURDER. HOWEVER, THAT HAS TENDED TO WORK BY BEING SURROUNDED BY THE MAXIMUM POSSIBLE DECEITS, TO THE DEGREE THAT ALMOST NOBODY IS ABLE AND WILLING TO LOOK AT THOSE BASIC SOCIAL FACTS.

Tragically, it appears that only a few military men, and usually not until they are a lot older, understand what Smedley Butler eventually did. In my opinion, the ruling classes recognize that awakened veterans are potentially one of their greatest threats, and therefore, the ruling classes conspire to "neutralize" veterans in every way possible.

Nobody else more needs to go through paradigm shifts in understanding politics than the military forces, since nobody else has to deal more directly with the problems of the existence of weapons of mass destruction. However, no other group has been more totally brainwashed to believe in bullshit than those groups. As always, welcome to the Bizarro Mirror World, folks: the real world could barely be imagined to more backwards than it already is!

Let's ponder the fact that employees of the V.A. are veterans as well.  What does that say about the caregivers? Or the management and Administrative Personnel responsible for taking care of them, some of whom are veterans themselves?

'Something's rotten out back in the woodshed, Robert Post's child.'

Unless you can think of nothing else to do with several years of your life, or you want to join the Armed Forces voluntarily betting you won't ever have the diseases and injuries that the V.A. will have to take care of, then by all means go for it, with the full knowledge that you will not be taken care of in a timely fashion, and might shorten your life by a lot.

Personally, if my son wants to join the Armored (sic) Forces I will kidnap him, export him to a far away country where a hundred beautiful LBFM's will distract him permanently until such time as he/she comes to his senses.

If he/she turns out to be a revolutionary idealist to protect "His Country", and wants to sacrifice himself, I'll tell him to go to D.C. sit down in front of Abe Lincoln, throw some eggs, rotten tomatoes, and black paint all over the statue and then pour gasoline on himself, though kerosene burns better, and light himself on fire.

That way his suffering won't last 1 minute. And he'll have made a statement about what I think of the lionized Lincoln who, along with Davis had to kill, maim, disembowel, torture 600,000 men to make their point,  and in the process leave 600,000 families with no provider.

All because they missed having South Carolina in their union.

Few care more about others than themselves. The important thing is to invent lies, rationalizations, that will permit you to do what you would typically morally reject. The ends justifying the means, the ends never materializing but means become a way of life. The "system" is always given priority over individual rights. Braking eggs for omelettes.

The best part is how so many Obamacare supporters were out professing what a huge success the VA system is, giving proof to the government controlled healthcare system. Definitely pretty quite now.

You haven't been reading up on the draw downs of troops and equipment.  Right now the spending fight is what to spend on what out of a declining amount of money.  Obama's people cut spending on Tomahawks just recently.  Even given more effective weapons, there are no longer enough to spread around for a one and a half front war.   There are now doubts we will be able to handle a one front war in 2018.  Actual percentage of GDP spent on weapons has been declining, while entitlement programs have been expanding at ever increasing rates.

But the US STILL spends more on its military than the rest of the world combined.......

Ike nailed it in his farewell speech.  It's only gotten worse since.

What in the hell does the US need with bases all over the world and a military that spends more than anyone else?  Who the hell do we plan on fighting?  Russia and China don't have to fight the US - they can destroy us economically by dumping their holdings of US debt.  We spend a fortune on our military - but that spending insures that we are weak and impotent where it matters.

...and the sad truth is that we CANNOT win a war against irregular forces.  At best we can exert some form of limited control - until we are worn out and leave.

Smedley Butler figured it out - war IS a racket and our military serves US business interests NOT the interests of the American people.

It has NEVER been about money, its about power. They can print money for just about anything and do. They dumped 100s of billions as stimulas and still nothing. And since when has money been an answer anyway? We continue to dump more and more cash in to education to what ends? The money is always spent to gain more control, impose more controlling systems. The money they spend on the VA would provide $10k per year to each and every vet that could use to buy top quality healthcare. This isn't about money, it about control. There is as much chance for vouchers for theses vets as there are for inner city at-risk kids. It has never been to fix a problem, but to gain control. The problem is the fulcrum they lever everything else from.

Sat, 05/24/2014 - 21:01 | 4792277 kchrisc

With respect, but it is always about both money and power.

As they say: "Money is power. and power is money."

Only looking at power would have caused someone to miss the money angle of the Reids' Bundy Ranch treason. Or mislabel Barney Frank's service to the banksters and Freddie and Fannie as "ignorance" instead of corruption and greed.

Always about money and power.

Sat, 05/24/2014 - 22:48 | 4792489 Oldwood
Oldwood's picture

Agreed. My point was the amount of money is irrelevant to the problem. Any money spent to resolve the problem is only used to entrench even more bureaucracy, creating even more control while also more dependency on public employment.

Yes it is about money, but only to the extent of what that money buys. When I think of money in private hands, it too can be "used" but for many it is but a symbol of their power, how big a stack of cash they have accumulated. For government, they hold no cash, no big accounts piled up. They print or steal what they need to facilitate their agenda. We know they can print what they need. They tax us as a means of control and manipulation. What is deductible, what has a sin or gas guzzler tax, or maybe a carbon tax.

Regardless it is about control, using money to create dependencies and drive us like sheep. Veterans present no threat. Most people just want the military to go away as they represent nothing but a threat to their reality. America's moral high ground has been effectively destroyed and most do not see any military action as moral. Even in a defensive role, America is perceived by much of the world and US citizens to deserve what we get. Veterans are fucked. A token award and parade from time to time and invisibility the rest. And they find themselves on the front line again, this time on the receiving end of broken promises.

Boomers coming up next.

As a Viet Nam Veteran and now dependent on the VA for medical care...This whole Va scandal is beginning to really piss me off. My care here in MT has been good since I went on VA health care about 7-8 years ago. That said...

I look around and see prisoners in Gitmo, prisoners in general nationwide, illegal immigrants, and all the rest of the "parasites" in this country get similar, or better medical care than many, maybe most vets. I see these deadbeats on welfare get all sorts of benefits they never hit a fucking lick to earn. And when they don't get what they want they get a free lawyer to browbeat the gov't to giving them.

This fucking country, especially its political classes might want to keep in mind just exactly what made veterans  "veterans".

I may be wrong, and I frequently have been in my life, but pissing off vets is a poor plan for pols running for office this fall.

Hairball, let me say thank you for your service. I don't care if that pisses off a bunch of people here saying so.

Where I work is close to a large homeless encampment and there are many Vietnam vets there. Some are quite mental ill but many are lucid and are dealing with a loss of family and drug addiction. I have become close to a few. They know they are society's throwaways. I try to help in the small way I can. Usually I buy them a sandwich or give them a little money. I don't care if they use it for drugs or booze. So they get a few hours escape from a sad life? Every time I do this I say thank you for your service and every time they get tears in their eyes. I think they just need to know someone cares and doesn't just look down on them.

My ability as an individual has limited worth. That I have paid thousands in taxes meant to support those vets that have been wasted is truly criminal.

Obama wants you...to look forward and never back. Looking back means remembering, remembering all the broken promises and outright lies, lies which become throbbingly apparent in a rear view mirror. The powers that be want people marching, marching forward as into war. If people look back they'll be able to see the cliff leaders are herding them to when they look forward again. This to me is what never forget means - "those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it." Forget the horrors of war, fight them interminally.

“Military men are just dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy.”   -- Henry Kissinger symbolized the ruling classes. That quote above represents what the ruling classes really think about the police and military. The fascist plutocracy NEEDS the fascist police state, but does not genuinely respect it. How could they, since the ruling classes control the fascist police state and military forces through similar systems of deceits as the ruling classes control the rest of those ruled over? How could one genuinely respect somebody else that one has tricked into sacrifices for fraudulent purposes? In general, the ruling classes are the Vicious Wolves, (often dressed in sheep's clothing) who employ the more Domesticated Dogs, the police and military. The police and military tend to be the people who were the most brainwashed to believe in the biggest bullies' bullshit social stories. However, they are actually the ones who should most wake up to the deeper levels of radical truth about militarism, as the ideology of the murder system.

As a veteran, here's what I hate about Memorial Day: there's too much dick sucking of the current military and veterans. Memorial Day is for people who have died. Veterans Day used to be called Decorations Day, which was also for people who have died. Not only have people forgotten this, they (and I mean US sports) go out of their way not to bring it up.

How about letting a widow standup at a baseball game? "Here's Mrs. Blah Blah Blah, her husband of 20 years dragged her from shithole base to shithole base for half her life was killed when some dickless little shit 20 year got drunk, caused a bar fight and her husband was stabbed in the ensuing brawl."

I expanded my comment from yesterday on Memorial Day:

Smedly Butler is one of the most decorated soldiers in DC US history. He had a 34 year career fighting the wars and "actions" of the DC US in many countries and territories. He was awarded the Medal of Honor TWICE.

In 1935 he said that "war is a racket." Not only did he say it, but he wrote a book by that name. In it he described the way the DC US government is beholden to corporate and bankster interests. He said that he had now, after 34 years of blood, sweat and sacrifice, found out that it had all been for the benefit of big business and the banksters. None of it had ever been for the American people, country or freedom.

This Memorial Day weekend, in the spirit of Smedly Butler,  I would like to offer up a different reflection upon Memorial Day:

"A time to remember all those that have died in previous and ongoing "rackets."

Have a Happy Memorial Day weekend.

Not to knit-pick, but Smedley Butler was a Marine, not a soldier.

I say this as a Marine vet. My family has been in about every military conflict since before the US was a country.  It's depressing to think of my friends that have died for seemingly nothing to do with the safety of the US.  One friend died in Somalia, one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.  All great guys, and the world is a little worse off for their deaths.

Back in the 70s the VA was a scam. It had to be kept full for political reasons. The West Side VAH is where I got my experience. It was a good learning experience but often the head of medicine would head down the the ER area and just say...'admit everyone', the bed count is too low. we got used to doing unneeded work just to make the numbers look good.

What is happening today is more of the same. Politics first, veterans last. It is about jobs and positions. I doubt most of the 'crats know much about medicine....or anything else besides politics.

The catalyst for war has not been diminished as many people have hoped it would once the world matured. National pride, political agendas, religious and ethnic hatreds are some of the biggest roadblocks to world peace. Often we seem to forget as we look back to World War II and past a dozen "lesser Conflicts" peace has been the exception rather then the rule for hundreds and thousands of years.

No disrespect to veterans but the true reality is that across the world few mothers want to see their children killed and most farmers want to be left along to raise their crops and earn a living. More on the subject of war as a solution to conflict in the article below.

Man, I've always liked you.  Wha'ts up with a comment like that?  It's not worship.  It's appreciation.  The people who have fought and died because they were drafted deserve our respect.  The current service members who volunteer deserve our appreciation because it means we don't have to do it, and you don't have to send your children to do it.

It's funny when people make comments like yours.  Funny-sad, actually.  The people who appreciate the miiltary the most are the LAST people who want to see them used or abused.

All I've seen from the left is the defense of Obama. They blame Republicans for blocking more funding to the VA (because throwing money at things has a great track record, right?) and claiming that Bush's wars(the ones that the next POTUS voted for) created this huge backlog of veterans seeking treatment. Then the actual numbers come out, the number of veterans is declining and the cost per older vets far surpasses that of returning ones, all while the budget for the VA has continued to increase. What do Obama apologists say to these numbers? They ignore them and continue to attack Republicans like Bush is still in office. Then Republicans turn around and act as if they are shocked-SHOCKED that America's veterans are treated this way, while not saying jackshit about it for the past 6 years. The same for the media. Obama continued to tout the VA as a huge success all while the media just posted WH talking points as news and never dug any deeper.

Any politician or TV talking head acting surprised by this news is full of complete shit.

Of all the comments on this thread, this is only the second one to present facts.  You are right.  The Dems voted for the war.  They lie about that now.  The VA budget has increased, while the number of veterans has decreased.

The VA has been a national disgrace for years, but the media hasn't covered it at all while Obama has been in office.  Remember the VA scandal when Bush was president?  Every newspaper political cartoon was about the VA for months.

Actually the irony is that the Jane Fonda toe sucking ugly gross baby boomer group elected three trust fund bitches- coked out economy killing draft dodging stoners to declare war.

It was the younger generation, Gen X on out that went to MULTIPLE TOURS of THREE WARS for the freeloading flowerchildren who tossed any chemicals at their own body.

I think that they abused Medicare enough.   USe the medicare money to fund the VAs.   Boomers come last.  They elected Clinton who stashed their social security monies into the US Treasury to "balance the budget".

The democrats in this country are hella fucking STUPID.  As are the baby boomers.

The US Troops are YOUR team.  How do you treat your own team like shit?  How would the Suns and the Lakers and the 49ers like it if their owners and coaches treated them badly?  That's a very strong comparison to how Obama is treating the troops.

Do you ever notice that every disaster, every government failure is responded to with a influx of cash...that does absolutely nothing but to create more government jobs which causes even less transparency and accountability, which is the only thing that will make any system perform better. None of it ever gets better, only bigger and more corrupt. Bureaucracy is about protecting one's own job, and nothing else. Any services rendered are simply a fortunate coincidence of serving themselves. Don't count on anything good coming from government, unless you just feel lucky.

Having been a Doctor for 42 years and spending the last 5 years of my career working as a contract MD - not an official VA MD who gets a pesnion and is almost impossible to fire , I have a few thoughts.

The VA takes care of an very sick group of patients with multiple medical problems. They are also for the most part a group who that are risk takers and pelple who worked hard and played harder.they have more than their fair share of

alcololics, Cirrhotics, and opiate abuse seekers.I my self saw patients who since they missed their appointments were sent to the Emergency department where we atfer verifying on the computer that amount of oxycontin and/ or other narcotics some of these young 40-50 year old non cancer patient were on was amazed.

we usually gave them enough medication till they could call their own doctor but we knew that if they did not play ball completely with the VA system ,it would be very hard to get theri medications renewed .They wouldl usually be sent back to the ER after another 200 mile drive for the middle of Minnesota or Wisconsin to the VA hsoptial in the one big city in the state.

But the main problem that lurks is there are  too many chiefs and not enough indians .The VA has layers upon layers of administrtors doing i am not cmpletely sure and not enough primary care internists for the most part in the trenches.

it is absurd that a large VA in Hampton Virginia at least when I was there had one MD in the ER all day and he had to see everything including drug refill patiets. Some peOlple waited 23 hours to have their 3 month supply of medications refilled -we did not use the just enough till you see or talk to your doctor rule as the system   was used to it- if they will wait 16-24 hlurs to be seen and they made them a 3 month up the road appointment  and considered our visit as their regular visit.

There was also a shortage of surgical specialists- one opthalmologist for alll the cataracts in 5 of the 6 largext communuties in number of veterans in Tidewater Vvirginia area.

What saved the VA to some degree was its affiliation with large great medical schools that took great care of very sick inpatients .this care was mostly provided by the university hospital resident staffs  working with the much smaller number of specialists who were actuall full time employees of the VA. of course that VA has many wonderful nurses who helped hold the hands of the young civilian resident physicians in the middle of the night.

I used to hear that some of these VA MD received much more money from their private work to supplemnt the rather low VA salalaries . I obvioulsy never asked any of them abont this "double dipping" without which the VA system would have totally collapsed

I always thought it interesting that I had to type my records as I saw the patient but the outside specialsits who were hired for part time work were able  to dictate and their notes were transcribed by a VA typist much as it is done int the civilian hospital world.

HIRE A LOT MORE PRIMARY CARE MD'S AND MORE  SURGICAL SPECIALISTS AT CIVILAIN LEVEL PAY SCALES AND YOU WILL HELP CORRECT ONE VA SHRTAGE

GET RID OF THE MULTIPLE LATERS OF CHIEF OF STAFFS AND DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF AND MULTPILE LATERS OF OTHER  ADMINISTRATION  WILL ALSO HELP

FIGURE OUT A WAY THAT 10 SICK DAYS JUST DO NOT BECOME ANOTHER 10 DAYS ADDED TO THE 30 DAYS OF VACATION LEAVE THE DOCTORS ALREADY GET.

YOU MAAY NOTICE THAT DOIGN THESE THINGS CREATES DIRECT COMPTITION FOR THE SAME DOCTORS  WITH WHAT IS PROBABLY GOING TO HAPPEN OBAMA CARE GETS INTO FULL SWING

JUST A FEW THOUGHT S FROM A FORMER INSIDER

Most WW2, Korea, Viet Nam vets were drafted and 1/2 of the Iraq and Afgan wars personnel were Reservist and National Guard. They did not choose to go off to foreign lands and kill people. They accepted the call from their country at the time it was sent. Their service bought prosperity in th US and provided security for most of the world, including the International banksters and the multinational corporations that pay 0 -  to nothing in taxes.

With the all volunteer active duty force, the country has absolved itself of the responsibility to demand that Congress only approve wars. Some Americans have taken the position that if one volunteers then its their tough luck. There is still left in this country however, a core of people who believe in our Constitution and we should thank them for being willing to send their sons and daughters in harms way for our common welfare.

When the willing Americans are no longer willing to serve - then the country can be content with a mercenary military full of those illegally crossing our southern border. We will then be trading military service for citizenship on a mass scale. The insane amongst us see no problem with this.

A SALUTE TO ALL VETERANS, RENDERED WITH PRIDE, IS WARRANTED during this week end and without any "bitching" about their service.

"Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori" is an oft remembered quote.Penned in Roman times by Horace and immortalized by Wilfred Owen a British soldier who died one week before the end of 1914-1918 war. It translates loosely as "to die for your country is the ultimate glory".. a part was added much later "sed dulcius pro patria vivere, et dulcissimum pro patria bibere. Ergo, bibamus pro salute patriae." which translates as "but it is sweeter to live for the homeland, and the sweetest to drink for it. Therefore, let us drink to the health of the homeland."

I raise my glass to those that died fighting for just and unjust wars..and wish my latin extended to how to insert the word "should be" instead of "is" in the first part.

I pity anyone who has lost family or friends around the globe in the last 65 years because they died for absolutely nothing but a Washington think tanks opinion.

If anyone in Washington had truly believed in the Constitution, most of these people would still be alive today.

All the dead Koreans, Vietnamese, Afgans, Iraqis etc. etc. have done nothing to advance our common welfare in the least. None of them harmed us either.

I honor our serving Military, past and present, because they stand ready to defend us if we are attacked by a foreign power. They serve a need we all share and most do it with honor and integrity.

The fact remains that the very people who will give all in the defense of our homes have been sorely abused, lied to and sent to their deaths and maimings by a criminal gang of ideologues and profiteers.

And we allowed it to happen by not saying something in numbers large enough to matter.

Rather than sacrifice their sons and daughters to criminal gangsters, those core believers would be better serving their children if they question the policies and demand accountability from those that would divert them from their original mission to engage in foreign adventures of dubious value to the American people.

We all should.

The enemy is here at home.  The enemy is ourselves, our shoddy form of government and a full retard central banking system.

The VA has been killing veterans for a long time now. Like most these institutions it is not the ground floor people who are the problem it is the ones further away from the people they are supposed to be serving that cause these problems. The more detached from the problem they are solving the more problems they cause.

With that said the issue under Obama is they increased the VA budgets 3 fold and nothing has changed. Killing vets on a shoe string budget is one thing, it is another when you allegedly are funded at historically high levels and you are still killing vets through neglect. Where is the money going?

The second issue with those waiting lists and this goes back to bureaucracy those people are incentivized to create long waiting lists since they get a bonus for working down the backlog and they do it by faking doing it to collect a bonus.

As a ‘nam vet I believe there is a simple way to get our governments attention. Each of us must force our senators and representatives and their families to receive the same benefits as the least of us enjoy in government. This includes all benefits such as medical, dental, pension,… Until we force their own work down their throats there will be no accountability.

She said “…government people don’t give a dam about the outcomes. Why should they…they can’t be fired. There is no accountability for money in any department. The object is to spend as much of the tax payers money as possible in this year’s budget to grow the department even bigger next year…and if things go wrong locally we just blame the a—holes in Washington…nothing ever gets fixed…we just find someone else to blame…and you think the VA is bad  wait until Obamacare kicks in…”

She is correct. The fault however lies with the American voter and Congress. We elect people to Congress  and the Presidency for the most mundane reasons from "good looking to skin color" and a thousand other reasons in between, without vetting anyone for the ability to manage anything.

The fault lies with the American people, who at the end of the day cant be bothered with anything other than their momentary diversions and pleasures.

I assume that you know every baby boomer in the US.

Those baby boomers have had Social Security looted by successive administrations, both Democrat and Republican, such that Social Security over the last 30 years has been looted of over 2 trillion dollars.

Those who criticize social security should be cognizant of the fact, that if left alone and dedicated to the purpose that it was created for would be in surplus of $2,000,000,000,000.

Before knowing all the nast baby boomers, you might want to study Government policy for the last 30 years.

It's so easy to be reckless and irresponsible when you're not accountable for your screw-ups. A good lot of goverment employess would be fired, if not inidicted, for some of the carelessness and negligence and failures in performing their job.

I worked for the government for a year. I quit and started my own business. I could not stand watching the waste, the drinking,  and the incompetence. And I could not fathom myself getting fat, lazy and indifferent.

True, when working on private contractor Government contracts at the end of the year, you had to spend any excess money because if you managed the budget responsibly, the budget would be cut in the next year, because by management you had demonstrated that you did not need the budget allocated to your department in the current year. The goal was to show that the department had spent more than allocated, and that the department was in deficit, so that the department would receive an increase in funds for the next fiscal year.

All agencies and departments game the system in this way.

Thank you to all who have commented. Military service, and combat, is all of the things I have read above. Thank you to all who have served, and thank you to all who haven't but are productive members of society. Today is a day I usually reserve to myself, to be spent in solitude and reflection.

For memory's sake,

Saint Crispen's Day Speech

" Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made,
And crowns for convoy put into his purse;
We would not die in that man's company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is call'd the feast of Crispian. "

Read it in it's entirety, and, thanks again, all.

Dear General Grass, instead of getting your dick sucked at the Indy 500 why don't you grow a pair of balls and terminate the Colonel's command.

Are those who die while on the waiting list described as killed in combat. If they die from the wounds of combat and then they die because of those wounds, they are dying from combat wounds and should so be classified.

In that case, then what is the true number of those killed by combat?

They forgot? Who's that? The 'american' middle class want war. They never forget about war.
Their appetite for war is so strong they are no longer satisfy by the public offer for war, the private offer for war with multiple private armies mounting up is increasing steep.

"they" didn't forget. they just don't give a **** about you. you're just a used up commodity and a liability. your only marginal value now is any residual propaganda value in keeping the current empire enforcers believing they will be taken care off.
