Where America's Immigrants Come From

Tyler Durden's picture

There are over 40.7 million foreign-born residents living in America. Iceland, Bermuda, and Samoa have the lowest level of foreign-born population in the United States but it is Mexico that is head, shoulders, and torso above the rest with 28.2% of the foreign-born population from just aross the border. Russia, interestingly, is 20th (just ahead of Iran in 21st place). We can only hope not all Russian immigrants are currently HFT "traders."

Top 20 foreign-born population of the US...

Regardless of which group is so much higher then others, to give them preferential treatment over other peoples trying to enter the US legally is RACISM. Nothing less. Treat all peoples from every nation equally. No advantages for just Spanish speaking peoples. I do not care about the damn lobbies. Go back home, apply to reenter legally like everyone else, wait your time, pay your fees. NO "immigration reform"- which is just rewriting laws to favor one group of peoples.

The Federal Reserve and fiat money support every Progressive social-engineering scheme that exists, from Mexican immigration, to abortion.

You can't have government involvement in these things without the power of debt.

Consider that the upset in the EU elections were 90% due to people being fed up with immigration most of which is from Islamic societies who choose not to embrace their adopted state's pluralistic values.

Don't believe the spin that tries to down play concerns over immigration.  The EU elections were all about that.

Yet, like here in the USA, immigration policy is not changing to match the public will.  CHEAP labor is what the RICH want and so they get it.

The continued importation of cheap labor despite the anger of the population is further proof that the world has become an oligopoly.

"Globalization" has only served to worsen and accelerated wealth inequality and power inequality. Globalization has not served to improve living standards.  It has, in fact, lowered living standards.

It is not cheap labor, because they are not that much cheaper.

The cost of living is the cost of living.   The immigrants are living an American lifestyle.

The only question is who pays for it - because *SOMEONE* does.

So, they are no cheaper from the Oligarch's point of view.

What they are is NUMEROUS.

The socialist lifestyle produces insufficient children to support itself.  Oligarch power is a vote-buying scheme based on distributing goodies to those who have not earned them.

At first they like to rob some segment of society, the rich, the industrialists, the kulaks - whomever - to get 'free stuff' to distribute to their supporters in return for Power.

Then they'll get into international adventures to rob those beyond their borders to get "free" stuff to distribute to supporters in return for Power.

ALWAYS they will also use the printing press stealing from those they pretend to benefit.

At some point the other schemes will become non-viable for various reasons - and then they'll rob peoples' future for the goodies they distribute to them.

Somehow people won't understand that they simply took out a big loan via a politician.

The *free* goodies aren't free, but people think they are.  So, they stop working.  They work shorter hours.  They retire earlier.  They invest in  leisure and get-rich-quick schemes, and avoid taxing, difficult tasks - like raising children.

But a retirement system without explicit and personal savings is a perpetual motion machine - it can't exist.  The whole system is predicated on the outputs exceeding the inputs - and that is impossible.   Only technological innovation can provide even a facsimile - which it does not by increasing the outputs directly but by lowering the overhead.

So, at the end of the day - EXACTLY LIKE A PONZI SCHEME - the Oligarchs can't keep the system running without new investors at some multiple to the old lining up for the fleecing machine.

That is why you have uncontrolled immigration.  It is an attempt to indoctrinate the immigrants in the religion of *free stuff* for the purpose of kicking the can on collapse for a few more years.

I'm not sure but I think the opium comes from Kerry's Afgahnistan fields, get processed in South America, then divided out to Mexican drug cartels and distributed thoughout the United States.

That might be part of the reason.
