Watch As Ukraine Helicopter With 14 Troops On Board Is Shot Down
Events in Ukraine may have been moved to the backburner because not only are they not impacting US equities but have somehow managed to push Russian stocks to pre-sanction highs, but that does not mean that there is any de-escalation in the self-proclaimed eastern regions of Donetsk and Slavyansk where fighting between pro-Russian groups and Kiev army rages on. The latest incident took place a little over an hour ago when Pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine shot down a military helicopter near Sloviansk, killing 14 people, the country's outgoing president says.
This attack took place following a weekend of heavy fighting in Donetsk following a push against "terrorists" by the new president that left many rebel soldiers dead.
The helicopter was hit during heavy fighting between Sloviansk and Kramatorsk on Thursday after it had dropped off troops at a military base, reports said.
Insurgents shot down an Mi-8 transport chopper with a shoulder-fired missile amid heavy fighting in Slovyansk, 100 miles (160 kilometers) from the Russian border, Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov told lawmakers in parliament in Kiev today.
Below is a clip of the helicopter downing:
Meanwhile, as reported yesterday, Russia offered its services to provide humanitarian aid in the eastern part of the country. Ukraine promptly declined. From Bloomberg:
The Foreign Ministry in Moscow said yesterday that Russia is being asked for humanitarian aid by people in eastern Ukraine affected by the conflict. Russia wants Ukraine’s help delivering supplies across the border and expects “the fastest possible answer,” the ministry said on its website.
Ukraine said thanks, but no thanks.
“This is another element of propaganda,” Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry said. It may also be a “a hidden attempt to help Russian terrorists who are now in a difficult position,” the ministry said in an e-mailed statement today.
Putin, who has repeatedly denied aiding the insurgency, told Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi in a phone call on May 27 that Ukraine’s military operations must stop.
“Russia’s goal was and is to keep Ukraine so unstable that we accept everything that the Russians want,” Poroshenko said in an interview with German newspaper Bild that was published yesterday. “I have no doubt that Putin can end the fighting with his direct influence.”
Events like today's helicopter downing will only further antagonize the two sides, leading to even more vocal demands for Russian intervention by eastern separatists until finally the Kremlin is "forced" to cave.
But perhaps the biggest irony in this latest and most serious escalation episode to date is that it comes days after EU ldears met in Brussels on May 27 and where France's Francois Hollande said this: “The possibility of de-escalation is here, finally,” French President Francois Hollande told reporters after the summit ended.
Guess not.

God rest the souls of that aircrew.
And that date is fast approaching. Obviously a buy signal for European Stawks! Just as Draghi is set to print to save the banksters! Is it too late to tap the gas out of Biden, Nuland, Hagel and the Nobel Peace Prize winning Obama? Could the wookie save the day by breaking the shut off lock and turning the faucet back on. Will Obama send money the US doesn't have to pay Ukraines gas bill while US cities collapse.
Stay tuned.

By the way, amongst the 14 people aboard the downed chopper was a Ukrainian general – killed too.
And, according to the China Times, China will purchase a large quantity of advanced Russian hardware including the Su-35S, the S-400 surface-to-air missile and an unknown type of anti-ship missile next month.
Strange voices in my head keep telling me that soon Syria will get to play with the S-400’s as well. Oy? ;-)

Just a mess. The pro west Ukrainians are soon going to find themselves stranded after the biden cia pep talk. It seems they would have learned a lesson from Syria, Egypt, Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan when it comes to US govt support.
I mean, didn't they listen to that vicious psychopath Nuland talk about their country like a petulant child arguing over a toy?
Meanwhile, Nuland suffers nary a paper cut...
Watch the media sensationalize war, like anything else, that sells adds.
That was one hell of a bottle rocket...
^.^
My only thoughts as I watched the video- poor buggers. Horrible way to go. My other thought was, the more they blow up, destroy, and kill, that's good for the economy, right?
Is it really so hard to hold the camera still? It is as if the shooter is being pounded in the ass by evil Obummer.
Max zoom will do that. Looked like the helicopter was barely visible when they shot it!
Image stablization can cure that ... must have been using a cheap camera without it ...
It appeared like the cameraman was moving towards the anticipated crash site. I know I would have been...whether I was for or against the guys on board.
First and foremost no feelings of sadness for those chopper dudes. They were going to a destination to kill civillians and enforce a puppet govt those people did not sign up for. Let it be a message to some other mofo hopping on a chopper for East Ukraine to bring his body bag along.
As for that Nuland biatch. Someone should of put a bullet through her head when she was handing out her cookies. That would of sent a nice clear message to the NATO operatives and NATO block govts.
Too bad that hag got out of there alive.
Been happening for a while: http://www.ultraimg.com/images/qsuUv.jpg. (I posted it once before, but it's more appropriate here.)
Milli:
The Kiev psychotic sociopaths are just as big a group of power-hungry whack jobs as are any group of oligarchs and bureaucrats anywhere else on Earth.
So they believe - just as it always is - that THIS TIME - it will be different.
They have no choice to believe anything else. If they didn't believe that, they would not have bought in to the coup the West promised would bring them total power in Ukraine. They would have put together a legitimate opposition, and tried to win at the ballot box, instead of at the bullet box.
For all you pro-Kiev / CIA / FED / IMF / ECB / EU / MIC POS, those innocent guys died so that you could be IN CONTROL - but you control nothing. You will see their faces in your last breath, before the demons of Hell drag you into the darkness.
And for Victoria, Barack, Martin, Joe, Hillary, Harry, Eric, Nancy, Diane, John K - McC - and B - your hands are not just covered in blood; you are swimming in it.
And for the Nobel Peace Prize Committee - burn in Hades for your racist - and now murderous - selection of Barack Obama.
Without the people I listed, and all those lunatics who back them, no one would be dead.

If they killed a general as well, then they aren't going to be giving up any time soon. They'll think they can hold, and the bear is always lurking. They just need to be humane, and the other side will eventually show its true colors.
Eventually? They already have.
Agreed. 14 schlubs that got sent into a stupid war by oligarchs. They get to pay the price for the oligarchs. Don't fight.
Helicopters are pieces of shit. How do you even bail out of them ?
If there's a rear cargo door, and if you're wearing a parachute, you can run out the back and hopefully dodge the tail rotor. Problem is that when a helicopter is spinning like this one was in its final uncontrolled descent, you're pinned against whatever bulkhead your seat happens to be strapped to. And you're disoriented. And there's smoke everywhere so you can't see.
This is why being a helicopter pilot is so different from being an airplane pilot, and why in generality, airplane pilots are open, clear-eyed, buoyant extroverts and helicopter pilots are brooding introspective anticipators of trouble. They know if something bad has not happened it is about to."
Harry Reasoner - 1971.
There's a plaque with this quote in the main entrance to the TH-57 helicopter flight simulator building at Whiting Field, just outside of Pensacola, where every young Ensign/2nd Lt. learns to fly these things.
Helicopters glide quite well assuming their main rotor is functionally intact and enough altitude is available when something happens. In that respect I don't see how they are any different from airplanes. Damage or destroy a wing or have a problem too low on takeoff and planes are subject to the same results. People are too frightened of helicopters and there is a lot of misleading information out there regarding their ability to land safely in power off events.
It is actually called hard landing which is a misnomer. It's a hard crash
to glide after power goes out, the helicopter pilot must immediately start autorotate procedures. he or she has 3-5 seconds to start them. even less for the smaller helicopters like R-22. If the pilot doesn't start autorotation in that time frame, it's toast
j0nx, you're wrong on every count.
Helicopters do not glide at all. If you were referring to autorotation, you may not be aware that for an autorotation to even be possible, you have to have a significant amount of forward airspeed for the flare to be successful in arresting rate of descent. Frequently, when things go wrong, the helicopter is not even in a profile for an auto. In addition to airspeed (or lack thereof, eg. in a high hover), aircraft weight, relative humidity and temperature, wind direction, and available terrain below and in front of you are all factors that will determine whether or not an auto will be successful. They're fun to practice; but there are only a narrow range of situations wherein an auto would save the aircraft and crew (especially for the heavy-lifters like the one in my avatar). And mechanically, you need more than just a "functionally intact" main rotor for an auto: main transmission must be operable, main rotor controls must be operable, tail rotor drive and control must be operable (debatable: an auto might save you if you lose TR drive and the boom can weathervane you on your controlled torque-off descent), at least one hydraulics system must be working. Any of these compromised and your chances of surviving a catastrophic event fade. About the least severe emergency is an engine failure (assuming the free-wheeling unit doesn't seize), which is one of the emergency situations in which an auto might be successful.
The rotation of the lifting surface makes helicopters completely different from airplanes. It's not even the same ballpark. It's not even the same league. It's a different fucking sport.
As one teacher told us many years ago "A helicopter is a human contraption that flies by beating surrounding air into submission".
Totally un-natural and un-reliable...
Or, "Helicopters don't fly; they are so ugly and unnatural looking the Earth repels them from its surface."
I was in an Army Aviation unit in West Germany during the Cold War. One of our Cobras had a massive failure of the 90° tail rotor gearbox in the air (parts of it went every which way). The Cobra has such a narrow, flat profile, it can pretty much autorotate without a tail rotor if airspeed is maintained (70 knots if I remember correctly). It hit and then bounced onto its side. No fire. Ended up a few feet from a fair sized gully. Pilot or gunner (I forget which) got a back injury, the other tore his hand up pretty bad using his survival knife to cut his way through the plexiglass.
In theory, this is also possible in the mighty 53. But it depends on the airspeed you're holding the instant your TRGB shits itself. At about 135-140 knots, the aerodynamics of the tail boom assembly exactly counter the MR torque. At that point, pitch on the TR blades is flat. So you could lose your TR drive completely and be in the same situation as your friends in the Snake. We talked about how to handle a situation like that; and the feeling in the community is that you should attempt a running landing at the largest runway you can find at 140 knots, making the most gentle collective inputs you can, then cut the throttles just as your main mounts touch the ground. If you're lucky, you could keep it upright.
I know of no one who's actually attempted this. Thankfully.
Jump
... How do you even bail out of them ?
Just say "Candyman" trice? Or tweet somepin? ;-)

That was one heck of a missile. That copter was really high up there, probably thinking I'm so high up nobody will see me or touch me. I was amazed those guys on he ground even saw it. Definitely denying the skies to the NATO coup trolls.
Videos like this sure send a message to the mofos thinking about getting on the next chopper, and to their family members.
I guess that is why we are not seeing overwhelming numbers of Uk military flooding into the east. I mean Ukraine is a country of 45 million people. You would think they could flood the streets with soldiers. Which goes to show most of the military just walked away and are growing potatoes in their self sustaining rich Uk black soil gardens.
This may seem counterintuitive at first, but if you're trying to avoid SAMs, you want to fly as low as possible, to take advantage of terrain masking. The higher you are, the longer a MANPAD operator has to lock on to your heat signature. If you're zipping around down in the weeds, he might only have a few seconds to point at you before you're out of the missile's sight.
The problem with flying low is that you're more vulnerable to anti-arcraft artillery and small arms fire. So, in some situations, you just have to pick your poison.
Real question: Where did they get the missiles???
And may God damn the Chocoligarch who who sent them to kill their Russian brothers and sisters.
Is this part of what he meant by "more efficient?"
I'm sad to say that I was right when I posted after the election, that Ukraine was going to get "Poroshenko'd": Chocolate on the outside, shit on the inside. Note... "A chocolate-covered turd is still a turd".
This grey mouse is a political Oligarch-for-hire. Notice how quickly he got off his fence of Neutrality, after he was elected and Putin said he's work with their elected leader. Looks like the US Neocons got to him better than did Russia, and that they made him an offer he could not refuse, or did not want to refuse.
I read an article on Global Reseach a couple of days ago and this arse is no candy man. FWIW:
Billionaire Poroshenko started his business by laundering the money of Soviet times’ administrators. He has never been an entrepreneur to start a business of his own. The story is invented. He made a head start thanks to the criminal connections of his father sentenced for large-scale theft in 1986. Having served the sentence, Poroshenko Sr. launched his own business making his son involved in the activities.
The business was dirty, it all started with the plundering of state property by armed gangs. The Poroshenko family had plans to expand the activities beyond Ukraine. Tatyana Mikoyan, a well-known Kiev-based lawyer, remembers what the family did in Transnistria,
Poroshenko Sr. was awarded for his merits – in 2009 he received the Hero of Ukraine decoration bought for him by his son who was part of the inner circle of President Yushenko, Godfather to Petro Poroshenko’s children.
The President-elect is well known for misappropriating budget funds. He has the reputation of someone who knows how to make money out of thin air. Many times he has been accused of being involved in large scale corruption schemes, open lobbying, embezzlement of budget allocations, tax evasion, illegal operations to acquire shares and physically threatening political opponents and competitors. Certainly he is not just another swindler but a tycoon, an owner of huge and diversified business empire. snip>

This sounds like the perfect politician to me. Nothing wrong here, he could be elected for the EU Parlament and win in flying colors. Welcome to the Club Mr. Poroshenko, you will be in good company.
I have to say - as an American - I feel an odd compulsion to vote for him as president of the U.S. as well. Where's a damn voting booth?
My sentiments indeed. Irrespective of the side you reside upon. More blood lost for what....? RIP
The bastards could have stopped firing. Poor kids dying for the banskters, NWO, elites and oligarchs. Sickening and sad.
I wonder what sholder fired missiles were used.
I wish someone would use something like that on Ke*ry's yacht that he docks in RI to avoid payiong Mass taxes.
What goes up, will go down (except stawks)
Thank goodness it wasn't a Bernanke copter, showering a grateful populace with hundred-dollah bills.
The Russians well know what happens when the rabble on the ground get their hands on rockets.
Karma's a bitch, ehh?
Well, if I were a supporter of the seperatists, I would try to get some rockets to them. There are plenty around and it shouldn't be too hard to slip some in. (It would be poetic if they were US made.) That was the US winning strategy in Afganistan which ran the Russians off.
I applaud this deescalation. Had the citizens of Sloviansk not acted, this Ukrainian helicopter would have continued military operations. There is now one less Ukrainian helicopter in the sky which we can all agree is a clear deescalation of forces in the region. Hopefully soon Ukraine will find itself deescalated out of its entire air force.
Good point. That one shot took out probably ten percent of their airworthy helicopters.
I suspect they have access to many, many helicopters, if they need them.
A triumph of peaceful resistance then ?
A man of your verbal skills is desperately needed by Uncle Scam.
Sick comment. War is death. Death is bad. War is bad. People like you who have never served in a war understand many things but what they don't know is dangerous. I hope your remark was sarcasm. If so, my apologies. Hard to tell on this website.
This isn't the first helicopter lost. It's at least four so far from the reports I've been watching. They have lost a ton of APC's and other vehicles too. The press is not talking about their losses on purpose of course.
14 unfortunate souls lost... many more to come.
Can anyone reach Victoria Nuland for comment.
.
Not until a little later. She's currently having a few children for breakfast.
That was nasty!
+1
'kill ukraine fucks on both sides and blame loss of friendlies on the seperatists - was perhaps what was overheard
Why, this is a personal insult to our esteemed Sec. of State!
I recommend more legislation!

leading to even more vocal demands for Russian intervention by eastern separatists until finally the Kremlin is "forced" to cave.
This is in Russian, but the title alone speaks for itself:
"Donetsk People Republic's Official Appeal To Russian President Putin V.V., 28.05.2014"
YouTube link (5:30 min video)
Russia should pull all its Chechens out of Ukraine.
Only a shill or idiot believes they are there in the first place.
Gavrikon too bad you are a shill & dont speak or read Russian, you could understand what Chechen(Putins right hand) president is talking about:
https://twitter.com/KadirovRussia
Dozens of Chechen militants have joined the fighting on the side of pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine in a development that threatens to further escalate the violence in the country.
On Tuesday, half-a-dozen armed men approached by the Financial Times outside a Donetsk regional hospital confirmed that they were part of a Chechen unit that had traveled to Donetsk one week ago to fight alongside the separatists.
“Our president [Chechnya’s Ramzan Kadyrov] gave the order. They called us and we came,” one of the fighters, a 33-year-old named Zelimkhan, said. He added that the unit was called the “dikaya diviziya”, or savage division.
The men said one of their group had been killed and four seriously injured in the Ukrainian military’s air strike on the Donetsk airport on Monday as government forces sought to recapture the facility from separatists
“They’ve killed one of our guys and we will not forget this,” said Magomed, a 30 year-old Chechen fighter with a wolf tattooed across his chest. “We will take one hundred of their lives for the life our brother.”
That's not his twitter-accout btw.
Chechen's fighting for Russia in Ukraine? Not buying it.
I thought chechens where fighting for USA, [citation: Syria]
Who started this game? You didn't think the Russians would simply walk away, right?
Who started this game ? I like to point you to a disgusting site which I accidnetally bumped into when I searched a map containig Syria, Iran and Russia.

It is common knowledge among the God chossen people that a war will be waged against these three countries as far back as 2011.

Still didn't fall down as quickly as Gold ...... Well at least there isn't a War in the Ukraine.
No?
Well, the chopper was 'manipulated' down.
Well that helps to even the casualties out on both sides. Poroshenko is having pro russians slaughtered like a bloodthirsty villian, likely from the direct orders of nudelman

Terrible for the crew. Can't help but ponder that if this happened to the pro-autonomy crowd how the EU-shitsuckers would be chanting "burn Colorado beetles burn!" and thinking it is funny.
Fuckin EU tyrants.
I thought I had the video on mute for a second there cause i wasn't hearing a bunch of CIA-funded goat fuckers yelling Allah-Snackbar/Take Beers for 3 minutes straight.
Well, the goat fuckers are still in Afghanistan and the CIA is still dealing heroin globally and funding more of the same elsewhere. In the meantime, we've burned through a trillion or few, fucked up a whole lot of peoples lives if not ending them.
You should probably pay more attention to the sheep fuckers in DC.
That's terrible...there is no way this crap is de-escalating. The markets are going to have to deal with it...
gold liked something at 820 am.
If you come to kill me, I kill you.
That is how it is...feel sorry for the crew...but then they also came to help kill others.
It's pity that there were no: Kolomoisky/Poroshenko/Turchin/Yarosh/Yatsenyuk/Avakov/Timoshenko on board.
Lets hope there were some CIA or DEATHBI agents on board.
Fix your own ffuck ed up country before you start lecturing others,
Kerry, man up and pay the sales tax on your boat.
it also had a general on board
Now wait for pro Russian terrorist chaos to appear in Germany and France...just to loosen their resolve to be involved in this US created shit fight. When the pain is bought to our own doorsteps...resolve disolves. A few new problems in Saudi might shake them up a little bit as well....when the realise it will get serisious for them as well.
I think the days of US instigated and supported wars are coming to an end...the world has woken up and sick of it.
good point
This shit is already in Europe!
A friend of mine has a construction company in Spain and has a big crew of Ukrainian men. Up until a few months ago they worked together in friendship and peace and I kid you not, we talked the other day on the phone and he told me that he had to separate the East Ukrainians from the West Ukrainians. Suddenly they started fighting each other and work turned out impossible. He scathered the crew among different construction sites and divided them up according to the factions fighting in the Ukraine.
In FUCKING SPAIN! You can't make this ship up. Don't know how far Ukrainian ex-pats would go if SHTF, but they will certainly not forget the promises made by the US/EU criminals.
Very sad. And very unnecessary.
Unnecessary deaths in the Ukrainian Army.
Unnecessary deaths amongst the 'Separatists' (or could we call them more accurately 'Republicans' - believers in decentralized power?)
This is a totally unnecessary war.
The rhetoric about who created whom is way overblown.
Everyone has interfered in Ukraine. EVERYONE. Russians think Ukraine is theirs to meddle with... But then say they believe in republicanism. Those two ideas are contradictory. So what is said must not be blindly accepted.
The whole thing gets blamed on the CIA, or the EU or Nazi's hiding in a cave for the last 70 years...
The truth is that these are pre-existing cultural divides in the Ukraine that have existed for centuries - since Ukraine was split between Europe and the Mongols, to be exact.
My Grandma was a saint, but a bit of a nag sometimes. Grandpa developed hearing loss and a faulty hearing aid. When asked he said, "Misunderstanding is easier and less destructive than a fight."
What if Texas were to secede, and said, "All Americans and American Troops must be off our soil in 48 hours"? Fort Hood could not move in 48 hours. Most of the city of Ausin would not go along. They could not possibly move in 48 hours.
When the only possible action you give your political opponent is a fight to the death, you get a fight to the death. Fights to the death are never one-sided. They are never predictable. They are never constructive.
They'd have been better off turning off their collective hearing aids, and saying "Eh? What was that? Just the usual? Okay, business as usual! What? No protestors in government buildings? Okay! We'll have only Donetsk employees in government buildings!"
I think Donetsk did not choose the mature and adult way to go about it. The first step in winning is to disarm your enemy by taking away the supposed purpose for his aggression. Then he reveals himself as a Despot, and even his own troops will refuse and revolt.
Hitler showed that the banality of officialdom and bureaucracy is the anesthesia for the conscience. But anyone who has dealt with bureaucracies can tell you that they aren't slowed by overt resistance, but by confusion and red tape.
The method they chose in Donetsk was a gamble on Russia, on Putin, that may or may not pan out, but that will certainly spell a lot of destruction for themselves. That is not how one stacks the deck in favor of winning.
its not about ukraine autonomy
its about a fight between the us and russia
ukraine is just an excuse for it
I agree that the cause is geopolitical and not about autonomy. I think it is less simple than the US and Russia.
The US on one side, and the Soviet Union on the other was yesterday.
Today is multipolar.
For Instance:
- Some Chechens have interfered in Ukraine in hopes it will lessen Russian concentration on Chechnya.
- Gulf States have interfered in Ukraine (funded parties) because they hope to supply Europe via Turkey and Ukraine pipelines.
- The EU is playing a game here against everyone. While voters may be supporting EuroSceptics, the European Oligarchs want centralization. They've set the checkers board well, by influencing the US to interfere under the auspices of NATO and state channels. If the US is embarrrassed, then they use the event to scare Europe into approving a European Army. If the US succeeds, and Russia is isolated, then they get diversified energy supply from the Gulf, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan. It is a "Tails, I win. Heads, you lose" kind of strategy.
- The US intervenes in Ukraine to satisfy Europe's energy demands - Nabbucco. Without Europe the American Empire is finished. Furthermore, the US recently spit in the face of the Gulf nations by expanding domestic oil production - something that was consciously disincentivized in 1973 to facilitate the creation of the PetroDollar. Expanding production in-country broke the Petro-Dollar deal. The US is looking to mend fences by paving the way for OPEC to have some significant new contracts.
- Russia intervenes because most Russians think of the Ukraine more as a province than as a separate country. Their histories are woven together, and originated from the same source. Moscow's relationship with Ukraine is a very God-Father-esque "I am going to make them an offer they can't refuse." kind of relationship. The east of Ukraine spent most of the last 1000 years under Mongols or Russia and are comfortable with that. The West of Ukraine escaped the Mongol invasion and spent most of the last 1000 years under Poland, Lithuania and others. The West is not comfortable with its relationship with Russia.
- So... Ukraine has also been divided against itself since the "Princes of Christiandom" in the West rallied to "stop" the Mongols 1000 years ago. But they stopped them right in the middle of the Ukraine. The Mongols kept the South and East of Ukraine. The Poles, Hungarians, Lithuanians, etc held the rest under totally different leadership for centuries.
And since that time Ukraine has had One People with two very different viewpoints.
People vote down my posts because reality is never easy, popular, or in keeping with the main propaganda themes. People don't want to hear about Geopolitical Spaghetti - especially if it is the truth. People want a simple story with a clear "good-guy" and a clear "bad guy". And they will convince themselves that is what they have, even if everyone is a bad guy, or everyone a good guy, or everyone somewhere in the middle.
If people liked reality movies and novels would not sell so well.
Your'e right of course... Someone had to have this war and they've done everything to get it.
It's a freakin set up for all people living in Ukraine, Russian speaking or Ukrainian speaking or any other language speaking...
I do not understand the negative votes on your post.

True but years into the Syrian civil war the anti-regime forces have no SAMs or even AAA, yet this ragtag militia in Donetsk seems to have both the training to use and stocks of SAMS. Simply remarkable! I recall and Iranian fellow getting caught trying to buy batteries for MANPAD SAM systems ( apparently the shelf life on them isn't that long to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands) so I'm betting the SAMs the Donetsk militia have are fresh from the Russian military inventories.
These Putlerist zombies have nothing sacred, they are now using children from Syrian conflict to spread lies about Ukrainian military. You can be sure that these photos will be seen by Russian TV channels to demonize Ukraine and brainwash few more zombies.

As for the chopper, ofcourse its civilians again shooting down chopper, I mean who cant these days go to their local supermarket and buy some RPGs and other stuff to shoot down military choppers. Nope Russia is not involved, Russian tv channels said so.
F*ck Putin and his mindless zombies.
Perhaps you could send some money to Ukraine to keep the gas on. LOL

Somebody needs a therapy session with a 1911.
Those god damned blue helicopters strike fear in the hearts of the ukrainians too. They've been firing on and killing their own men!
There is no irony in war only escalation.

Wait 30 days for the insurance policy to kick in. Shoot down a helicopter, place an order to replace new fleet.
"Pro Russian Rebels" newspeak for "anti Kiev fascists". Every time I hear that phrase I know the western media is winning the spin game, and it makes me sick,
The down arrows were probably because you didn't surround the [Kiev Facists] in brackets. I understood what you meant.
I was hoping Chocolate Boy would be open to dialogue after his previously conciliatory statements but it seems he's as bad as the rest of the junta. They want total surrender, not negotiation.....how very neoconservative.
NWO mercenaries, and that includes our young men and women in uniform, need better pay.
I'd like to see their pay cut to $1.00 per day so they all resign and the Oligarchs lose the cannon fodder they need to exert their will violently through unnecessary wars.
Again Funny.
Commercial popup on the YouTube video (translated) "Made in Europe stands for quality".
Man that is a crap way to die. Spiraling to your death engulfed in flames. I shudder.
The People of Ukraine 1 - 0 for the scam pro west puppet Kiev government.
A general. Don't forget one of them was a general. Little starred piece off the board.
Must have goten caught in the humanitarian aid crossfire.

Helicopters have the GLIDE RATIO of a cubic square foot of GOLD (or any other large rock) Army tried to get me to fly Hueys in 1969 (guess where?). Ariba pa yah daddyo.
I have long awaited the day for later-generation MANPADS to make their appearance in the hands of capabale insurgents. Withhout close air support, counter-insurgency operations just don't work.
Understand that a proliferation of this technology is the end of airborne "PAX AMERICANA"
All that is left for Nuland et al is to bring in the DRONES, which can operate from high altitude but with a low ordinance payload and only a clear days.
Putin needs do anything other that open up the armoury for suppies of MANPADS. Checkmate bitches.
You've long awaited what happened before 1980?
Manpads have been available on the market for 35 years or more.
That will be the LAST Ukrainian general in a helicopter - "No thanks, I'll take a cab"....
Where are the "Allah Snackbar" chants on the video. Oops my bad.
top quality shoulder fired SAM's and shoulder fired anti-tank missiles -------are the very definition of asymettric warfare.
time and again small shoulder fired anti-armor and anti-helicopter/low flying plane----------these missiles are truly game changing because 1$ of missile creates over 1000 dollars of equipment damage at any place in the field.
how many helicopters can you build , when for each one the enemy can crap out 30 shoulder fired missiles.......for an extremely small pricetag...
I recall that a few months back a gang on the US West coast led by a Chinese dude was busted bringing in a shitload of heavy-duty weapons including shoulder-fired mssiles. After a brief flurry of news coverage everything went dark. But that got me thinking - the Feds busted one shipment. How many did they not bust. How many shoulder-fired missiles are already in the US and who has them.
Watch for helicopters falling out of US skies sooner or later. And maybe a drone or two
Light the man a fire and he'll be warm for the day.
Light the man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
Why don't they have parachutes on-board?
It is hard to jump from a crashing helicopter.
They tend to fall while spinning wildly, making it hard to do anything, and if you do get out there's a good chance that you or your parachute will have a close encounter with the salad shredders that keep it in the air.
Moreover, you are too usually low to do a standard jump with a rip cord. You pretty much have to use a static line... but in either case helicopters arent flying with enough lateral speed to make your chute open.
At 120-150 kts it takes 4 slow seconds for a chute to open. Top cruising speed for the fastest military helicopters is 180 kts. And you're almost never at that speed. Especially when doing sharp turns, dives, and climbs to avoid small arms or a shoulder-fired.
And if you were at top speed you would get to say "hello" to the tail rotor.
Best case in a helicopter is a slower speed, and enough altitude for gravity to accelerate you enough to open the chute, then a few seconds to slow down.
The window of conditions when you can successfully jump from a helicopter are so narrow, that under most circumstances it is not worth it. The pilots should have parachutes, because they *might* be able to make the conditions right in time.
For the rest it is a choice of death by fire, death by fall, death by dismemberment from helicopter blades, or some combination of the three.
Thanks for the larger picture analysis +2
