Mapping 100 Years Of US Immigration By State
Several days ago, we looked at the big picture of US immigration, presenting the place of origin of America's 40 million foreign-born residents. However, as is always the case with the US, focusing on the big picture at the national level ignores the nuances at the state level.
The following two charts using Pew Research data, compiled by the WaPo, show the dramatic changes in the land of origin of US immigrants, beginning with 1910 when Germany was the primary driver of US-born residents, accounting for 18% of US immigrants, and proceeding through 2010, when Mexico has become the the biggest source of foreign-born residents: the birthplace of 29% of all immigrants in the US.

With more than 40 million immigrants, the United States is the top destination in the world for those moving from one country to another. Mexico, which shares a nearly 2,000-mile border with the U.S., is the source of the largest wave of immigration in history from a single country to the United States.
But today’s volume of immigrants, in some ways, is a return to America’s past. A century ago, the U.S. experienced another large wave of immigrants. Although smaller at 18.2 million, they hailed largely from Europe. Many Americans can trace their roots to that wave of migrants from 1890-1919, when Germany dominated as the country sending the most immigrants to many of the U.S. states, although the United Kingdom, Canada and Italy were also strongly represented.
In 1910, Germany was the top country of birth among U.S. immigrants, accounting for 18% of all immigrants (or 2.5 million) in the United States. Germans made up the biggest immigrant group in 17 states and the District of Columbia, while Mexico accounted for the most immigrants in just three states (Arizona, New Mexico and Texas). Behind Germany, the second-most number of immigrants in the U.S. were from Russia and the countries that would become the USSR (11%, or 1.6 million).
Since 1965, when Congress passed legislation to open the nation’s borders, immigrants have largely hailed from Latin America and Asia. In states that have attracted many immigrants, the current share of immigrants is below peaks reached more than a century ago. Today there are four states (California, New York, New Jersey and Florida) in which about one-in-five or more people are foreign born. California peaked in 1860 at 39.7%, when China was the top country of birth among immigrants there. Meanwhile, New York and New Jersey peaked in 1910 at 30.1% (Russia and the USSR) and 26.2% (Italy), respectively.
Today, five times as many immigrants in the U.S. are from Mexico than China, the country with the second-highest number of immigrants (5% of all immigrants in the U.S., or 2.2 million). Mexico is the birthplace of 29% (or 11.7 million) of all immigrants in the United States. Immigrants born in Mexico account for more than half of all of the foreign born in four states: New Mexico (72.4%), Arizona (60.2%), Texas (59.7%) and Idaho (53.5%).
Of note: while until 1970, the percentage of US population that was foreign born steadily declined, reaching just 5%, over the past 40 years, as the organic growth rate of US-born population has declined below the rate of immigration, the percentage of immigrants as a % of total has been rising steadily and is now back to a level not seen in the past century.

It is a travesty to compare current immigration policy with the arrival of Europeans who endured hardships without a welfare system, who merged into existing communities learning English and learning the patriotism of America’s founders. Italians, Norwegians and Germans became Americans, not Mexican-Americans.

The story of the US, that 'american' nation, has always been a story of welfare. As welfare, 'americans' received land handed out by the government state.
As the multiple naming, it came from the will of 'americans' themselves.
The social engineering experience of merging people with different enduring loyalties was managed on the ground of the white race to cement them. This social engineering success was due not to positive pressure (id est people gaining something from it, a woodrunner living with the Indias had no positive gains in terms of freedom) but from negative pressure (id est what people were to lose when they were not belonging to the proper group)
'Americans' could not provide freedom but they could stage freedom by enacting slavery.
As a result, since 'americans' social engineer against people, the reality of their group is proportional to the level of discrimination, oppression etc they manage to apply on their negative counter part.
The consequence: as being an 'american' stems from the dissociation from certain types of groups, 'americans' resent any re-association to certain types of groups.
It is not so much the latinos, the negros etc who demanded that several namings are enabled but the 'american' middle class who resent being re-associated to people they built their unity against.
All those labels, mexican american, african american, asian american exist primarly to ensure peace of mind to the indo european middle class as it keeps them a distinct group.
A lesson from the 'american' history: associating to people that are treated worse than animals is dangerous. Being associated to people that are treated worse than animals is being marked for death.

She wants us to move to Germany but they are even more screwed up than we are, with the conservative party more left than our democratic party. Because of pressure from the Greens, they are shutting down all their nuclear plants due to tsunamis in Japan, and will buy their power from old nuclear plants in Eastern Europe!

i spent three summers driving the back roads of the usa. i really got a kick out of the divided ethnic communities in the vast midwest plains. it was like the ethnic urban neighborhoods everyone is familiar with except in an rural setting. one could literally drive for a hundred miles and see all the signs of the local heritage and then the next farms, with some road in the middle of nowhere as the boundary, for the next hundred miles would have the signs of another culture of origin. really neat.

Calfornia can be claimed by Mexico as Australia or Canada could be claimed by the United States. Mexico was as Spanish possession/colony populated mostly by Spainish and central American indians at the time you mention (and its current form wasn't established until after the 19th century, i.e., after the Mexican American War and after it was a French possession, i.e.), and Australia was an English possession/colony as was the U.S. at one time. The Spainish couldn't get enough Spanish to go to California (and virtually no central Americans indians came), which is largely why they lost it (and Texas by the way). The U.S. didn't and doesn't lay claim to all of Canada or Australia. Furthermore, the Apaches and Commanches etc. (southwestern American Indians) aren't central American Indians and don't want to be invaded again but by a lower form of colonizer. In short, repeating La Raza propaganda and acting as if you happened upon historical truth is retarded.

Many Mexicans are just low-lifes; there really is no better way to describe it. Obviously that statement comes with a proviso attached to the effect that it does not apply to each and every individual. Indeed I have known some good Mexicans myself, but they were certainly not the majority.
To understand Mexicans you must realize that they inhabit a completely different mental landscape than you do. Mexicans view life as being essentially a never-ending game of what I call "Troubles Poker." They think of work as demeaning, i.e. something nobody would ever do unless forced to by someone stronger than them. This power relationship is integral to their entire understanding of both labor and social order. The powerful man does not have to work; he forces others to do his work for him. In Mexican culture the desire for success and achievement is inextricably bound up with not working. Leisure is almost their sole desideratum. In order to think of himself as successful, and to be thought of by others as successful, the Mexican will strive to minimize his own involvement with work. This attitude is existential with them, meaning it proceeds independently of any practical considerations. A Mexican will put more effort into avoiding a task than the task itself would have required had he just done it.
However, since work still has to be done by somebody or the social order quickly ceases to function, the game of Troubles Poker naturally develops as the result of each man himself trying to do as little as possible while foisting as much as possible upon his neighbor. The game takes shape in several definite forms which I will outline as follows, although I do not pretend that this exhausts the subject.
First, a Mexican who finds himself in a position of authority (such as a middle manager) will see it as no less than his simple prerogative to do nothing. He will offload his own legitimate responsibilities to his underlings and he will quickly throw them under the bus if anything goes wrong. This style of leadership of course has devastating results for the business as a whole, but it does not matter. The Mexican cares nothing for "the big picture." At the end of the day, his only concern is that he does no work and takes no blame. This, for him, is the meaning of life itself and he literally does not understand the point of being otherwise. Meta-concepts such as justice, long term sustainability, and sacrifice for the sake of the future are outside his comprehension and beyond his concern.
Second, and more importantly, Mexicans lie. There is no bluff they will not try in the attempt to win the poker game, which is basically a constant endeavor to gain as much as they can at someone else's expense. They will flatter you or shame you as the case may be, if by doing so they can garner some trifling advantage. They will hide behind the letter of the law when it suits them and will unscrupulously break the law when it does not, claiming ignorance or crying about unfairness if they get caught. The habits and demeanors of low-class slaves and criminals are their basic operating procedures. They are a race formed by and for servitude and their mental horizon does not extend beyond the concepts intrinsic to such a life.
The average white person is at a disadvantage when dealing with Mexicans. Having been raised in an atmosphere where meta-concepts of justice and trust are expected and asserted to really be the case, to be the correct mode of behavior as well as the sure and dependable route to happiness, we simply do not have the "immune system" for interacting with people who will lie, cheat, and steal out of the basest possible motives. We are not used to living in an environment where every fellow man is a parasite and must be assumed to be angling for your goods at all times. Such a realization, when it comes, tends to make us paranoid rather than angry, and we resort to thinking about it as a "social problem," something that can be solved in process of time by compassion and education. We think this way because such an approach usually works with other whites, but it does not work with Mexicans. They will see your compassion simply as another advantage to exploit.
There are only two long term solutions to this problem. Either we can begin to acquire the proper "immune system," which will have the effect of coarsening and cheapening our own culture and making us in the end more like Mexicans (undesirable); or we must keep Mexicans away from us as much as possible and above all not show them any "compassion." If interaction with Mexicans becomes unavoidable, we must assert and maintain our authority and keep them in every sense subservient to our interests. This means that white Europeans will have to take pride in themselves and, as a first step, put an end to all the racial game-playing in politics such as Affirmative Action.
All this is forbidden thought in contemporary political discourse, but it is an absolutely unavoidable reality. Either we will pay heed to this reality or we will commit suicide as a culture and as a people.
It is not just Mexicans.
This is the DNA produced by Socialist/Communist cultures. This is now also very common in Europe. Just look at the underclass in Britain. It is also a widespread Southern European viewpoint. It is also very common in the former Soviet countries.
Socialism/Communism is a form of slavery that converts a Nation-State into a giant Plantation. Slaves have no connection between effort and income. Therefore all rewards are leisure. And all punishment is a form of forced labor.
We are rapidly becoming just like them.
I saw some of this behavior in my Chinese bosses who were caught up in the cultural revolution and immigrated to the US in their 30's. They had kind of a peasant outlook on life, where the elite do not work. Once they became successful they began to abhor work. Work is for little people, whereas the Americans took pride in rolling up their sleeves not matter what their status was in the company.
They think that managers don't work and are pure overhead cost. Consequently management was not a function that worked on this company they owned.
so when my firewood and tree guy asks me to make a check out to his personal name and not the name on his truck does that mean he is diligently paying all business and personal income taxes? Didn't think so. So I make the check out to the business name and let him worry about how to cash the check. When your very act of being in the country is breaking the law do you think in reality there is any desire to assimilate or begin obeying the other laws. I live in a Chicago suburb where fully almost half of all store signs now are spanish only,,, no English. It bothers me because our school district sent recruits on my dime to Columbia and Venezuela to recruit spanish/English speaking teachers who look like "they" do at their request because in the bi-lingual education classes where we cater even more to them they were upset because the white teachers didn't look like them. That's right. On our tax dime we spend money for travel to find teachers who speak spanish in an English speaking homeland because the illegals aren't happy the current English speaking teachers are white. Whose country is it? No ones. We are free to do many things. Pay your taxes, pay your tolls, pay for a single family home with three married couples to send 9 kids to school to learn their native language, pay for seat belt tickets, pay for cellphone usage tickets, pay taxes on your cellphones , tires, gas, and everything else you purchase with aftertax income.

Your Chicago experiences are true. The city and most collar counties including Crook county are under Democratic control since the early 1950's.

The changes in the US's demographics are the direct result of the Immigration Act of 1965 which was the brainstorm of a Jewish representitative by the name of Emanuel Celler.
Jews want the US (and Europe as well) to be filled with a sea of non-white immigrants, which they can lord over, and unlike white Americans of European descent, can't challenge them politically or economically.

My wife is from Europe. Her immigration took approximately 700 pages of paperwork, about $7000 in filing fees and travel for interviews, etc. And from start to finish, it demanded about 3 YEARS.
A Mexican immigrant can cross the border in 10 minutes, will be paid "public benefits" on arrival, and essentially need not document anything.
There are barriers to the entry of educated, independent, competent foreigners. Only less educated, more dependent people are allowed to come without barriers.
