The PLAN was for Hillary to get the Democratic nomination - she was a proven politician who'd play ball and do as she was told. They also planned for the shit to hit the fan in the financial markets AFTER the elections but Rove underestimated how pissed off people were and didn't steal enough to keep Republican control of Congress.......the audits of Freddie and Fannie led to a premature blow-up which meant you couldn't blame Hillary after SHE got elected..... If you could blame the financial mess on a Democratic President they figured they'd be able to do ANYTHING after 2008.....
But things didn't work as planned. Markets blew up before Bush left office, Hillary didin't get the nomination.... So the plan didn't go as intended - the Manchurian diversion ended up with the nomination. This was still better than a guy like Feingold or Kucinich who might have REALLY tired to change things (and who have interestingly dropped out of national politics - better for your personal longevity?). But Barry has played ball - no walking back on any of the Imperial Presidency... We got Libya, tried like mad for Syria and are STILL trying for Iran..... PNAC's hit list is alive and well and now we're headed for a COld War redux.... problem is that the US is the collapsing Empire - not the Russians.....
Obama has been as much Bush III as Hillary would've been - or any other republican.
