Las Vegas Cop Killers Linked To Bundy Ranch Militia; Raged "It's Time To Wake Up."

Tyler Durden's picture

Yesterday's shooting in Las Vegas drew media attention for a number of reasons but perhaps of most note was the chilling comments and premeditation involved. As WaPo reports, Jerad and Amanda Miller simultaneously executed two Las Vegas police officers in a pizza restaurant as the officers ate lunch; and then Jerad Miller covered the dead officers with a Gadsden flag and put a manifesto with a swastika on one of the officers’ bodies. However, as the hours since the disaster go by, more details of the couple have been exposed including Jared's anti-government video-rant below, "Sounds a little like Nazi Germany to me, or maybe Communist Russia... Really, people? It’s time to wake up. It’s getting ridiculous." Comments on his Facebook page also indicated he would be a "martyr" and asked for "the death a hero deserves." However, potentially most interesting is Interior Secretary Sally Jewell noting that the two may have joined militiamen from around the country at Cliven Bundy’s ranch earlier this year.

As WaPo reports,

Interior Secretary Sally Jewell on Monday highlighted news reports that said two apparent white supremacists who shot and killed three people in Las Vegas on Sunday may have joined militiamen from around the country at Cliven Bundy’s ranch earlier this year.

Asked by reporters at the Western Governors Association’s annual meeting here about the Interior Department’s approach to Bundy, Jewell said two police officers in Las Vegas were “gunned down by people that news reports say were also at the Bundy ranch.”

On Sunday, Jerad and Amanda Miller simultaneously executed two Las Vegas police officers in a pizza restaurant as the officers ate lunch, police officials told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Jerad Miller covered the dead officers with a Gadsden flag and put a manifesto with a swastika on one of the officers’ bodies.

The Millers went to Bundy’s ranch, about 80 miles outside of Las Vegas, in April, they said on social media sites. But the militiamen shunned the couple because Jerad Miller had prior felony convictions in Washington State. Jerad Miller’s last note, posted on a social media site about seven hours before the shooting, read: “The dawn of a new day. May all our coming sacrifice be worth it.”

And here is Jared Miller's video rant...

Jerad Miller rant by aaron-gell

And from his facebook page...

Of course, what makes us wonder aloud is whether this "provocation" by a Bundy-ite as he is represented, will be sufficient to reignite the drama surrounding the Bundy ranch.

Jared and his girlfriend are by no means representative of the Bundy Ranch people!

This bloodbath was stopped by an armed citizen who carried concealed daily.  He was a Nevada CCW holder named Joe (Joseph) Wilcox.  He was a good man and he represents the calibre of man who stood by Bundy.  He is the one that stopped the two shooters.  He confronted Jared and was shot by the girl.

Ten bucks says one of their chains was food stamps, a government check and/or subsidized housing.

Another ten bucks says the toxicology (which we will likely never see because it is not useful to the PTB) would show some nasty drugs in the carcasses.

This isn't the path to take at this point, but I won't shed a tear for a couple of pigs. Let's keep things in perspective. The USSA has been murdering innocent people for years. The USSA is waging a de facto state of war against its citizens on multiple fronts. It's time to grow some thicker skin and realize legitimate people are going to snap under this strain.

And there is little or no mention of the fact that they shut down and suicided after a CCW holder in that Walmart confronted them.

Nutter active shooters always shut down when their script is interrupted. The onbly thing the CCW holder did wrong was to try to talk them out of it instead of immediately gunning them down.

Not sure what to make of this yet.  Dude is definitely intelligent and articulate.  His statement is indicative of a thinking man, not some random nut.  Smart people don't just go off on dumb rages, so something here doesn't make sense at a basic level, though I'm not putting it past anyone to just snap and say FUCK IT and go waste a few pigs for the glory.

Whatever the basis of truth of the matter, this will of course be used to further demonize guns and the people who have them.

And then they came for the ones that had guns.

But I did not speak out, because I didn't have a gun.

And then they came for me.

But there was no one to save me,

because they already took away all the guns

and those willing to use them to defend me.

I am Chumbawamba.

This brazen massacre by terrorist right-wing militia members is really big news.

Anybody else notice that the Karachi Airport attack by our new best buddies, the Taliban, that killed  28 people has had little media coverage?

Not to make light of the tragedy in Las Vegas, but It's not terrorism or big news if it is not convenient to the government (think Karachi and Ukraine), and it is incidents like Las Vegas that is (domestic) terrorism which justifies ignoring the law and Constitution.

Remember that "white supremacist" is a euphmism for "Fed monitored" and, quite reasonably, "Fed Provocateured."  The Fed's have a tendancy to run the fringe race oriented groups, whether it is the KKK or the New Black Panther "wanna be cracker baby killers."

These two were turned away when they volunteered to help with security at the Bundy Ranch.  They showed up several days after the showdown with the Feds.  Stuart Rhoads, founder and leader of Oathkeepers, was one of the people who told them, "thanks, but no thanks".  The main reason was he admitted that he had a felony conviction.  They were not allowed on the Bundy's property, they were seen on the other side of the river with supporters of the Bundys.

BTW, it is time that people "Wake Up", but that doesn't mean you should shoot cops.

Small correction:

Nazis are only right wingers in a socialist's imagination. NSDAP = National Socialist German Worker's Party. Fascist economies are all socialist. Goebbels wrote a bunch of edicts to try to force progressive taxes, and Goering bragged to the Nuremberg Tribunal about putting rich people who tried to flee with assets to death.

Good point. The Left does not like to admit that the proper name of the Nazi party was "National Socialist". It is an autocratic socialist party. They only difference between it and the far left commies is that there is some free market and some private property.

The proper far right is true anarchy or the Libertarians where there is little to no government and all things are done privately through common laws and private contracts.

We are essentially in a soft socialists state, the USSA as many (including me) like to say. We vote on how to take away property, control an economy and redistribute stuff.

Felony (meaning one) which is wrong anyways. The salient point is, is they were kicked out.

According to Ammon Bundy it was because of their beliefs were at cross purposes to theirs...

"Ammon Bundy told The Associated Press that Jerad and Amanda Miller were asked to leave his father’s ranch after being there for a few days this spring.

He said that while details were still sketchy, the Millers’ conduct was the problem. He called the couple “very radical” and said they did not “align themselves” with the protest’s main issues.

“Not very many people were asked to leave,” he said. “I think they may have been the only ones.”

Sometimes good people must sacrifice everything, so that other good people can live without having to sacrifice everything. Neither group of good people--those who died to save a cause, or those who lived to fulfill it--is necessarily better than the other.

The "maturity" does not lie in the individual. The maturity lies in the course of events.

Those who perish, in a struggle which has not yet ripened, cannot be said to be "immature" as individuals. It is the struggle which might not yet be mature, not those who take part in that struggle.

The other question, of course, is whether the cause itself is noble.

Kicked off the protest...

From Oath Keepers:

My fellow Americans,

Jerad and Amanda Miller, were NOT members of the Oath Keepers.

They were Nazis. The EXACT opposite of our ideals.

They were KICKED off the Bundy Ranch by the militia personnel. Because Jared was a FELON.

We do NOT support their actions.

What they committed, were multiple acts of premeditated murder.

That is all I have at the moment. But I wanted to get ahead of the government-media narrative. Before they spin this horrendous act, and attempt to pin it on the patriot movement.

I pray for the families of these innocent and fallen law enforcement officers.

Maskone...did you search Erik Scott at Cosco in Vegas?

How many cops involved in the execution of Erik Scott, could you point out the good cops please.

No current serving law enforcement officer is innocent...none...do they deserve to be executed, NO. However I will not shed a tear or lose sleep when they are..400 to 500 innocent civilians killed by LEO's in the US every year...580+ in 2013...how many LEOs are killed by innocent civilians?

People will start to snap..fearing for their safety when dealing with LEOs. Or act like the two assholes in LV or the goof in Moncton (Canada), am I surprised ...hell No...you should not be either.

If there were any good cops, there would be no bad ones!

I havent done any background on erik scott. But what i know is this

You cant judge all cops based on the actions of a few. By your same logic, if there were any good american troops, there would be no bad ones.

I agree people will snap. Shit, i encourage it. How else can we expect anything to change in a system that prosecutes whistleblowers? But ithe actions of these two meth heads are cold, ineffective, and damaging to those that support liberties and freedoms. Besides, dc and the federal reserve needs to be scrutinized, not metro cops and walmart shoppers.

Edit
And trust me, i know about cops abusing power. My family and i have personally been on the receiving end of it. But im not going to be a coward and go on a crusade against all of them

Soilders are another animal....community police is something else.

Do you believe that a cop that fails to report corruption, or fails to dis-arm and arrest a bad cop when they execute people, is still a good cop?

They may not all be bad, however none of them are good, or innocent...none,,,they will not hire good cops, and any that were left from 20-30 years ago have left the force.....there are no good cops in our modern police forces.

Edit: nor am I on a crusade to see them executed, however I will not mourn their deaths, especially when they kill more, and more innocent civilians... they cannot continue to act with impunity, and then act surprised or hurt/threatened when someone lashes out with the same excessive force they are famous for.

I hope you have not mistaken me for a kool-aid drinker.....I simply stated it was different animal, and I agree cops and military are not that different in reality, they have melted together in many ways.

They are very similar now, niether being used the way they were intended to be used.

Community police (suppose to) have a mandate to serve and protect a community.

Soliders (suppose to) have a mandate to defend our borders, against foreign invasion.

If this were during an active war or foreign policing action, and two soliders were executed, would you be offended or surprised? Not me would'nt lose sleep or mourn for either. When you choose to participate in war or policing you accept there will be consequences or reward for your actions. Karma pays all eventually.

The police fight wars now, war on drugs..etc..war against domestic terrorism... they have now been effictively mixed in mandate and share SOPs, both with very little oversight, thus both systems corrupt beyond belief......both are failures in the context of what they were created for.....

So no I have not drank the kool-aid, but thanks for your concern.

Las Vegas Cop Killers Linked To Bundy Ranch Militia

(buried down in the WaPo piece)

The Millers went to Bundy’s ranch, about 80 miles outside of Las Vegas, in April, they said on social media sites. But the militiamen shunned the couple because Jerad Miller had prior felony convictions in Washington State.

From the AP coverage:

Ammon Bundy, one of Cliven Bundy's sons, said by telephone that the Millers were at his father's ranch for a few days this spring before they were asked to leave by militia members for unspecified "conduct" problems. He called the couple "very radical" and said they "did not align themselves" with the beliefs of other protesters, who thwarted a roundup of Cliven Bundy's cattle by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, which wants to collect more than $1 million in grazing fees and penalties.

While thousands of people have been to the site over the last couple of months, "Not very many people were asked to leave. I think they may have been the only ones," Ammon Bundy said.

You are pretty much a lying sack of shit. Let me show you what I actually did write vs. what you claim I wrote.

You are practicing the exact same bullshit that the corporate media does on a daily basis. You are misrepresenting the facts by lying by omission, telling half the story, so to speak. I made several comments in that post, and this was one of them.

because once the corporate media spins this story, along with the element of the blogosphere sympathetic to the machine (HuffPo, Salon, ect) spinning all the comments like yours and your buddies here, well, your fellow man will be more accustomed to continue suffering under the present shit because they'll be more afraid of you!

Tellin' half the truth still ain't the truth, unless you didn't read all of the comments, which is just as bad as "People that can read and don't are no better off than those that can't" (Mark Twain).

and I also wrote.

Right now you are in the wrong position. You and these nutcases are in the moral gutter and Uncle Sugar Daddy can take the moral high ground and parade you and the lunatics around as "a clear need for us to provide more security for the public to protect against those nutcases".

and I said

And to your point, what's even worse is that these murderers, and their cheerleaders here, just gave the machine all the propaganda they need to twist and spin this and use it against us.

Now, should I start searching the blogs for to see what they are saying about the supporters of these lunatics?

You are fibbin by omission'.

At least Joe Stack chose a worthy target. It's entirely possible that these two latest kooks did just snap and decide to take out a couple of cops and an innocent bystander. I'm just lamenting that the people who snap and go on a killing spree so rarely ever kill anyone who richly deserves it, when there are so many who do.

Mon, 06/09/2014 - 16:41 | 4838446 pods
pods's picture

That is the rub, if these two did deserve it, you would never know.  That is the job of the media. To humanize the victims and dehumanize the suspects.  To that end they do amazingly well at their job.

Someone lost a father, brother, uncle.  We see that as the public because that humanizes them.

What we don't see is the relatives of the wedding parties we bomb across the globe.  We see collateral damage for doing a job that is necessary.  Same with police work.  We hear about the shootings, but always have that backed up with how difficult a job the cops have kicking in doors to arrest petty drug criminals.

If the actions of the population at large cannot be fully controlled, then at least they can control the narrative.  Imagine what this country would be like if instead of most of the population that was capable of killing, men, did not have the outlet of being drunk on the weekend watching sports to satisfy their testosterone needs?

The farmers control the events as best as they can, then control the narrative after outlier events happen to maintain control of the flock.

There is a difference between someone snapping and writing on a blog, talking with friends and whoever will listen, and taking the lives of two innocent police officers in the name of war.  When people protest it is usually a patsy who starts the riot.

First off, nobody is innocent if they have reached adulthood (myself included mind you).  Least of all "police officers."  If they had killed two men who were police, you might make that argument. They killed to police officers, who happened to be men.  Big difference.  We argue here day in and day out about the over reach of this government and the abuses of power by those charged with safeguarding our liberties.

Snapping is writing on a blog?  Writing on a blog say, about time to bring out the guillotines?  We talk about that HERE all the time.  I know I do. Because I should be able to voice my opinions and so far Tyler et all have allowed me the forum to do so.

A lot of the time it is plants that derail a legitimate movement by inciting violence.  What movement were these two tarnishing? The Bundy thing?  I think old Clive did that all on his own. No need to waste a resource by having them kill and be killed when all they had to do was give Clive a microphone.

Even ZH now has become the unthinking and reflexive flip side of the coin to the other unthinking and reflexive view.

Cannot this simply be that two misfits (from most of what I have read) finally ran out of causes to get behind because all of them have shunned them?

His FB post could have been posted here on a daily basis by a couple dozen posters.  Fuck he could have plagiarized it FROM ZH.

Agent Provocateurs have been used before.  Confirmed in the first WTC bombing for concrete proof (as one can get).  But here I am not seeing the need (through their lens) of these two being Agent Provocateurs.

If this whathisname - because that is how history will remember him - had killed Jamie Dimon and Lord Blankfien then he may have started a revolution.  Instead he killed two police officers who had no public noteriety for being corrupt individuals who were running our society into the ground, like Dimon and Blankfien.

This guy deserves no credit and should be seen as either a patsy or part of the opposition in general terms.

Yes writing on ZH is snapping.  Yes telling your family of the truth to power is snapping.  No, killing two people one has never met is not snapping, it is simply cowerdice.

Same here.  All I see is two nutters who went off the deep end.  Not surprising given the current epidemic of mental illness.  As for the media, they are just Pander Bears.  Whatever is currently controversial they pander to in the name of making a buck.   To read more into it than that is to start down the same sorry rabbit hole these two losers fell into.

I plagiarize from ZH all the time. I have great files of quotes from all sorts (even you). I never give you credit when I post it to other sites. I'm not near smart enough to come up with the great arguments I get here.

Sure you are.  Everyone is.  All that is needed is a forum where ideas and arguments can be hashed out without people being banned, or arguments blown up by flame wars.  Ideas are key on the internet, I think that is why most who argue like it.  I also look at comments on main stream boards (my local news rag for one) and the arguments are so mundane and predicatable.  Left-right is all you get.  Two sheep baaaahing about how their side of the pen has better grass.

Think about having any argument we have around here in real life.  Usually people either ridicule you, or if you happen to get them to entertain some uncomfortable possibility, they will segue into something more comfortable for them.

As for pillaging, no biggie here. Not like "pods" is gonna be suing anyone.

(Unless your post was just a thinly veiled poke, which if so, bravo, I bit.)

have to agree with you pods - not every looney-tunes shooter is "doing it for the cause" - whatever that might be. . .

Ideas are key on the internet, I think that is why most who argue like it.

healthy for the minds to get stirred up occasionally, not be so content in the echo-chambers. . . a good to 'n' fro argument can provoke thinking after the fact, and this is how we stay agile.
