Tonight's Biggest Losers: Meet Eric Cantor's Largest Donors

Tyler Durden's picture

Following Eric Cantor's historic primary loss from a tea party challenger nobody expected to win, the real biggest losers are listed below.

Courtesy of OpenSecrets, here are the Top 20 2014 Donors by company:

And for Cantor's entire career, here are the biggest industry donors:

It would appear the biggest loser tonight is Wall Street and the NAR, especially if the latter was to be compensated by Blackstone for becoming America's biggest landlord.

Hey, Eric.  Don't get near any hot tubs or nail guns for a while, OK?

Anyone else think those numbers look a bit too low to keep a House Majority Leader on the payroll?  If that's all it takes, I'm pretty sure my local Quiznos franchise could have this guy in their back pocket.  There's a TON more money rolling around this guy than is listed here.

I don't ordinarily wear a hat, but I do own a few.  If this list of donors doesn't look almost exactly like Brat's in a few years (probably less), I'll eat one of my hats.  I previously agreed to learn Yoga and eat my own ass if Republicans including "The One" Cruz* stopped the raising of the debt ceiling, and so far my ass is still full of stuff to eat, and I've avoided Yoga classes.  I'm willing to bet that my hats remain uneaten as well.  Anyone on the Red Team or the Blue Team works for the same league.

*Cruz has the same list of donors.  Look it up.

AMAZING, 30,000 dollars from Goldman Sachs buys it protection from one of the most powerful Republicans in Congress.  How cheap these politicians sell us out for.  I mean GS steals billions and they don't go to JAIL because of a few 30,000 dollar get out of JAIL cards.

Freakin amazing.....

Not as good as the numbers presented would indicate. The real grease is applied when the leadership is on the campaign trail for loyal party lackeys, various election committees of the Central Party, and private PACs. Cantor wasn't personally contributing the 30 million he "raised" just for the NRCC which dwarfs the money raised for his "own" election. All told he's probably responsible for 9 figures worth of bribes/contributions to his faction of the establishment.

Look at how the $5M Gollum has passed around just this year got divided up, GS interns wouldn't take phone calls from some of these nobodies...

Look behind the numbers.  Remember, they are not subject to insider trading laws for some unknown reason.

Hitlary once famously parlaid some $4k into $100k over the course of a year by parking it in pig bellies with some broker.

I cannot find the word "democracy" anywhere in the Constitution.

Ok dickweed Fabian Socialist down voter, show me where exactly the word appears in the Constitution. It doesn't, for a damned good reason.

Just because you and your third column allies pass law without reading it first, doesn't mean the founding fathers did ;-)

You do realize that the minute they stop  raising the debt ceiling the ponzi economy implodes, don't you? The system is predicated on, the foundation is, all credit. With the exception of the initial seed money that existed in 1916, all money is loaned into the system, AT INTEREST. In other words, loans comes first, followed by deposits. If you take away the heroin from the biggest user in the monetary opium den, then the withdrawal symptoms begin within 90 seconds, the defaults on debts because no new money is being generated in the form of loans to service the interest on all the previous loans made start, then you'll have default after default after default with real people losing REAL assets to Antichrist.

Which means a deflationary collapse. Yes deflationary because there's not enough M2 in the system to service the existing sum total of all debt, which would cause M2 to collapse, which would cause deflation in this case, which is bad.

In the First Great Depression, the banksters used this insolvency of most of their clients to sweep up tons of real assets. How do you think that half of the farmers in the US lost their land during the GD I? We're in a catch-22, the ultimate catch-22. Keep printing and soon enough, the BRICs will totally reject the dollar, implode the petrodollar system (that's starting right now) and all those dollars from Australia to Zimbabwe come flying home, chasing fewer and fewer goods because our imports, based enirely on credit, collapse. So you have hyperinflation.

Cut up Uncle MasterCard's letter of credit, and default after default starts a chain reaction which eventually means that the 5 or 6 main banks lay claim to eventually ALL REAL assets in this country due to collateral isssues and bankruptcy laws that they wrote, including right down to your sperm and your wife's egg, with pre-emptive rights to have the sheriff seize your unborn as an "asset" to offset loan obligations.

Screwed if you do, screwed if you don't. There is no solution except to prep for yourself accordingly, and wait for the axe to fall. And when it does, some other entity they set up, this time I suspect it will be a supranational cartel, will restart the system of credit money all over again until even your clipped toenails are legally their collateral.

All that without ever putting up legal consideration for anything. The greatest sleight of hand con artist trick in human history. On that note, has anyone other than me noticed that the only time Jesus ever beat the crap out of anyone in his brief stint here on Earth was when he gave the smackdown to the money changers in the temple?

Think about that. So now you know why I call "the machine" Antichrist.

Yep.

Also: Logged in 'cause the potential fer [any] circumstance being "causal-mean" 'sponsible,  wherein devouring ones' own ass (autogluticide?) enters teh realm of plausibles...

Em, fucking hilarious. Furthermore, one would expect the bet/comment to devolve quick-like into scatalogical un-funny territory e.g. "and I made the pact...eat my turds...it's a brown day..." and so on. Intentional or not, over analyzing or not, unexpected things are always welcome in this shitty online form of communication, a kinda linguist determinism/memetic. Somehow you managed to throw out eat and ass, avoided the "crap" and...well shit, I thought it was funny.

post/s: I did yoga for a summer, the shit was brutal. No sarcasm either. I'm no expert but I know there are as many kinds of yoga as there are fighting (martial arts) styles. My experience was bereft of energy drinks. granola bars and forsaken Sitar meets Yanni waterfall music. After a summer of yoga I did a year of MMA training, for exercise/curiosity. The yoga stuff for my particular physiology was fucking painful as hell, way more then anything I experienced from sparring/muay tai hits and stuff. Seemed to me that the kinda yoga I was doing had a lot in common with ninjitsu, everything seemed to exist for the explicit purpose of finding the most awkwardly painful way to be. I trained 1 on 1 to avoid any chance of coming into contact with crystals/eye of newt.

Plus my guess, 100% anecdotal, is that attractive yoga-chicks, at least those round my loc=oil+vinegar.

Anyway, it's unfortunate, I've always wanted to see someone for real, try and eat hat. It's a double disappoint, methinks the only peeples capable of eating their own asses would have to be like +25 dexterity +19 Strength level 40+ yoga somethings. Maybe someone ultra-morbidly obese could chomp on theirs?

Cantor should go a meandering somewhere in Bavaria, have some freakshow MD pull a human-centipede on him and some others. That would take care of the eating ass conundrum. Plus, the doc could feed 'em hats, too.

Worst whip in a long time, a bad Whip is responsible for a rampant & fractured party. Take a look at the stunning lack of solidarity the RNC has been plagued with since 2010. Hell, he couldn't even force [R] team to stay to block Obamacare nor get the President to obey Congressional requests on IRS: and this is supposed to be the party of Lincon? Bitch please. French socialists have better "house threats" than this guy cooked (coked?) up. Let's hope Johnny picks a better one this time and not some life hack who is overshadowed by a pay-per-view [D] played by Mr. Spacey.

If by "party of Lincoln" you mean party of doings insanely unconstitutional shit all the time, id say they are holding down Lincoln's legacy quite well. Anyone with any knowledge of real history should be aware that is his true legacy. The 'freeing the slaves' nonsense is what is taught to the serfs in gubbermint schools, not how it actually went down. One of the worst presidents in history, and that's saying a lot.

The GOP hates pretty much anyone who doesn't tow the party line. See how Ron Paul was treated as a prime example. Even though he was the only one who beat Obama head to head, they went with Romney and ignored RP. They would literally rather have Obama in the White House than him, since the establishment from both parties basically do the exact same shit, they just have slightly different messaging.

THIS WAS THE STORY WASHINGTON POST RAN THIS MORNING:

"A conservative challenger is expected to fall far short of defeating House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) in Tuesday’s congressional primary. Disorganization and poor funding have stymied the campaign of tea party activist David Brat, even as he tapped into conservative resentment toward a party leader who has been courting the Republican right for years.

Brat, an economics professor, simply failed to show up to D.C. meetings with powerful conservative agitators last month, citing upcoming finals. He only had $40,000 in the bank at the end of March, according to first quarter filings. Cantor had $2 million."

CANTOR SPENT 5MIL TO BRAT'S 123K! In the last 7 weeks Cantor spent 1mil to Brat's 75k!
