Laugh Along With Putin

Tyler Durden's picture

The next time you are stuck alone in a room with Vladimir Putin and that awkward silence strikes, just ask him about NATO's missile shield being for protection against Iran (and not Russia)... and that should break the ice nicely. As the following interviewer found, the iron fist of Russia has a lighter side... we think...

Interviewer: "NATO claims that the missile shield was not built against you but against Iran"

Putin: "You really make me laugh. God bless you, because it's almost time to finish the day; indeed it is already time to go to sleep. At least I get home in good humor."

Nuclear war folks. When the hate is this thick and superpowers are testing each other, it's easy to start.

There are more billionaire NeoLibs who like their assets non-irradiated than there are neonuclear NeoCons who primarily for religious reasons really don't seem to care.

At least that's what I'm hoping for anyway...

GWBush wouldn't know what tiddlywinks are.

Tough guy Putin wins another round vs. wussy Obama.  And vs. wussy Europe.

Always adore that story..

The funniest part of that video, was the reporter, who kept staring back at Putin in utter pious, ignorant earnestness.

Mafia Boss. But I will say I admire his appearance as strong, sober, athletic, clear headed, and cautious.

PR is Important. Politics is PR. Politics is Propaganda. What of it? All Politicians are posers, work the TV Screen, and understand they are always being photographed and recorded.

Still, Putin understands that conservatives hold power and military or police strength is a kind of plus. Be a hunter, be athletic, be a man who takes sauna, have control in press and public briefings.

At heart he's still a KGB colonel who misses the good old days.

But his body language is ace.

Another interesting video how Putin avoided filing for bankruptcy of one big company.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjrlTMvirVo

The English narrator apparently didn't get the point when saying 'if a big country needed the boss to get one company back to work then it's in serious troubles.' Exact the opposite, the situation shows how corrupted, irresponsible and arrogant the industrial oligarchy can become when not effectively regulated.

This would never happen in the US where the oligarchy already took over the country making the whole politics a circus for the mesmerized masses played by obedient puppets. Putin did something that no one American puppet would ever dare.

If we would be so lucky as to one day see that C,H,A,M,O,P,X all laughing in a breaking-ice meeting...

We can carry on hoping, no?

What are you talking about?

The economy has never been healthier, the VA is amazing helping our vets, Iraq is pretty much a vacation destination, and if there is a problem it's a legacy asset from Bush.

We're on course bro.

Nice post except you left out the Bernanke, Yellen as well as the newly created branch of the Federal Reserve located in Belgium.  Might as well include Paulson and the rest of the bankers who always have our best interests at heart while you're at ir.

Damn.  That's a great post.

I'm gonna get stoned now and ruminate on those 19 words.

OK.  Upon reflection I think the weapon of the past is actually the control of information / propaganda.  Which is why tptb can print what they print.  And bomb who they bomb.  More powerful than missiles.  But propaganda meets its match when assests are scarce. Which is why Putin can laugh at the NATO jive.

If Zerohedge writes a post "World Ended"....can we still comment after?

god, I hope so.  If I'm right I'll want to gloat about it.

So what will the red team do in his place? Obama and his lizard man sidekick are scum but I see plenty of psychopaths on both teams.

Putin has the upper hand here, it's hard to get Obama to laugh by inputting "hehehe" into a teleprompter.  It never comes out authentic.  Barry always forgets which character to laugh in ... the preacher, the haughty professor, the Black Pantha do-gooder, the intellectual ... that's a lot of laughs to sell.  Putin just has to react.

CCanuck's picture

Thanks ParkAve. for the second good belly laugh!!

swmnguy's picture

That nutty Putin and his sense of humor.  "Someday I will indulge myself and we will laugh together at some good joke."  It seems to me that if Putin is indulging himself and inclined to laugh at what he considers to be "some good joke," it's highly unlikely I will feel much like laughing.

Which doesn't make it right that the US foreign policy can be summed as, "Poke Russia with a stick." But Putin has been a scary dude since we first heard of him.  If he weren't, we'd never have heard of him.

jeff montanye's picture

if it's not right to poke russia with a stick then why isn't it funny when the u.s. gov't claims the nato missiles are to protect "us" from iran?  it is funny in a very excellent if lame and pathetic way.  putin is right to laugh and i laugh with him.

it is also funny that the "al quaeda" spinoff the u.s. arms in syria is the same organization (isis or islamic state in iraq and syria) that steals their helicopters in mosul and makes 90,000 iraqi gov't troops desert.  the msm claims al quaeda kicked them out for being "too vicious".  that too is funny.

There is no more scary an infividual in the world as the standing US president whoever he/she is because the oligarchs behind the office are psychopaths. The US is probably now the most dangerous country on the face of the earth and probably far more likely to try their hand at a pre-emptive nuclear strike.

Kudos to Norad for intercepting those 4 Iranian bombers yesterday.
