Meanwhile In Brazil, Hours Before Kickoff...

Tyler Durden's picture

Not quite the "crowds" everyone was expecting...

Brazil are expected to win 4-1 against Croatia... let's hope the "crowd" is not disappointed...

Do you think this was planned in advance??

The 2016 Olympics are going to the real show..

Joe Davola's picture

Possibly, but I've never heard of the term "Olympic Hooligans".

Manthong's picture

Time to send Noodleman in with the cookies.

Pladizow's picture

I like the drums at the end, but where were the naked whores?

knukles's picture

Spent some time in Sao Paulo
Shithole, deluxe.

Tao 4 the Show's picture

The really funny part is that Brazilians are on average far more disillusioned with the World Cup than ever before. Most people are simply pissed off that so much money and effort was spent on the event, when so much else in the country is a complete mess. They understand the level of corruption going on.

Reminds me of when I was in Greece 2 years ago.... its a good thing most americans wont get off the couch.

Herd Redirection Committee's picture

Just a show of force by the military.  Make sure no one gets the 'bright idea' to protest immediately before the opening match.

BellyBrain's picture

The only violence on display is from the police...

GOAL!!!! GOAL!!!!! GOAL!!!!!!

At some point TPTB will realize that they can no longer distract with these circuses.

“The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.”-- Frank Zapa

That's what the elites like to think will happen.

Significantly, they forget how dependent they are on us (the whole point is to have an underclass to earnestly do your work for you, so you can focus on backstabbing your way to 'power' and direct it all).

Sociopaths make terrible soldiers, workers or researchers - how will they compete with other parts of the planet when all they have left is sell outs, brutes and bitches?  Even if they go so far as to obliterate all other life on earth, then all they will have left is a small group of bunker'd ultra-sociopaths with no outside enemy...

There is no deep logic in a sociopath's mind - they think they are so smart and have everything figured out when in fact they are just endlessly reacting to childhood abuse and other 'demons' that push them to want to victimize others and rationalize it.  The illusion is the source of their power (the power of lies), so it is a big deal that it has been so completely revealed to all, and the application of simple force (as suggested by Zappa) is generally the quickest way to lose all social power, so it's a disaster for them, more than anyone else.

As an aside, even their own 'elite' members are deeply lied to (Mind Kontrolled), and thus the group can't handle the truth that is coming out, since it also sets their members free.  Things change and nothing lasts for ever, so why should anyone think the satanic cabal's dominion and type of tactics (lying) would continue to work so well for ever, in spite of vast changes in communication technology?

All of that just to watch a bunch of men in knee socks chase a ball around, like a bunch of kittens chasing a ball of yarn. sheesh.

Strider52's picture

Me too. The whole city smelled like a sewer.

@Knukles...Then stay in Detroit.

The bitch Nuland is in Kiev. Her and the Boxer were touring the Midan yesterday. She was fawning all over the big guy. Her blood soaked ass is going to rot in hell. While she was touring, her nazi allies were dropping incendiary bombs on Slavyansk buring down many homes. Nuland you cunt!

Stackers's picture

I saw - 10 rioters - 30 cops and 50 photographers

And no vuvuzelas!  I call BS.

Vuvuzela-ing is now punishable by death.  See, it's not all bad news.

free_as_in_beer's picture

If there was no cops responding, people would freak out about a lack of action.

There is no win.

AurorusBorealus's picture

6 months ago, there were 1 million protestors in the streets of Sao Paulo... 1 million.  I don´t think 15,000 police are going to stop that riot if it really gets going.

Deathrips's picture

Just in new rules for the world cup.....hey wheres the ball?

CrimsonAvenger's picture

Planned in advance? Yes, I think this was the GOOOOOAAAAAAAAL.

AurorusBorealus's picture

For over a year, every time Simon Black writes some hit-piece on Argentina, I have been pointing out that the real crisis in South America is in Brazil, but no one wants to hear that because international investors have gotten wealthy off "BRIC" investments in Brazil.  The situation for the people in Brazil gets worse every day, however, despite all these "investments" and the wonders of international capital flows (all the profits flow into the hands of a few connected and very wealthy people).  It was planned in advance and it was not in that this has been going on for some time now in Sao Paulo... just now the world notices.  Tensions are very high especially right now because of all the money the government has poured into facilities for sports while the people languish.  Expect more of the same throughout the Cup whether Brazil wins or loses.

Grande Tetons's picture

If this thing goes off without a football tourist getting whacked...I wiill be shocked.

A human life is worth shit down there. Come to think of is not worth much pretty much anywhere.

Tao 4 the Show's picture

Have to agree that Brazil is in deep, deep do-do, but I also have experience with Argentina. People from neighboring countries can hardly stand the Argentinians, and it is worse recently. People from Argentina visiting Brazil and Uruguay are nervous wrecks and leave bad feelings and problems in their wake. Recently, places in Brazil stopped accepting the Argentine peso, which only made the situation worse. Obviously, this is a generalization and not true for everyone from Argentina.

Kirchener is driving Argentina into the ground and the people are going nuts watching their money disappear. Brazil is still functioning (as it were), but problems are building. Real estate is generally far overpriced and inflation is at a level we would consider crazy. The corruption of Dilma and her predecessor are hollowing out Brazil. It is walking ever closer to the edge, but not yet over the cliff like Argentina.

ebear's picture

"all the money the government has poured into facilities for sports while the people languish."

Dual use technology.  Think Chile. Santiago Stadium.

Herd Redirection Committee's picture

The sports facilities etc don't really cost $4 billion.  Just like how toilet seats don't cost NASA $800.

Its just how the money is ACCOUNTED FOR.  Big difference.

Like when they say the annual Defense Budget is $1.1 trillion.  Graft = defense apparently.

Thirtyseven's picture

I laugh whenever they tac an 'S' onto the end of 'BRIC'.

Murder and rape capitol of the world, with virtually all infrastructure pre-1994.

general ambivalent's picture

They just really want their team to win is all.

One time, I went to this police brutality show, and a world soccer tournament broke out.

JustObserving's picture

Not to worry - these protesters will be imprisoned before the Olympic games if they have not starved to death.  There is no life without circuses.

Can you imagine what will happen if Brazil loses to Croatia in a couple hours?

Miles Ahead's picture

... ah, Croatia will make it to the next round?

Flakmeister's picture

They were a  good bet to make it anyway....

Miles Ahead's picture

geez... I'm trying to be clever here... thanks a lot.

ZerOhead's picture

Let's see... the millionaires that rigged the game will become billionaires... and the billionaire bankers/hedgies that bought Brazilian CDS's will become trillionaires all while the country goes up in flames...

Fucing grown men kicking a ball into a net yo... Sports are the biggest distraction to the masses.

NoDebt's picture

I know, I hate basketball, too.

knukles's picture

And butterfly catching

Seer's picture

At least, as sports go, with soccer and basketball it can be performed with a single person and a ball and, in the case of basketball, only one net/goal.  Other sports are for the wealthier societies...  That said, paying such huge sums of money to people to play for their masters, while there's no money in the slums, is downright immoral.

piceridu's picture

It has worked for thousands of years...bread and circus

Miles Ahead's picture

I agree.  We should all spend more time on comment boards...

talking about sports being bad.  Got it.
