Call Of Allah Duty: What Happens When Al-Qaeda Captures A Tank

Tyler Durden's picture

So is it Call of Allah Duty, not so modern warfare? Or, to paraphrase John McClane from Die Hard, "now I have a tank. Ho-ho-ho."

The caption says "Army of the Mujahideen, Kirkuk sector: using tanks in fighting the army of al-Maliki." At least they haven't read the instruction manual on those confiscated US Black Hawks yet....

We (the US) fucks stuff up so bad so often it cannot be on accident.

Maybe if the CIA moved the opium being grown in Afghanistan to THE Iraq we could settle things down?

Some of you forget that for nearly 700 years, Baghdad was the center of the scientific world.  Some of you forget that it has been the Barbarians who have repeatedly destroyed Baghdad unto this very day.  Even before Operation Win Hearts'n Minds (or whatever it was called) Baghdad was still the place in the Arab world with the most universities, libraries, and then most educated population.

Some of you forget that in the 10th century Islam Spain was (for 300) years the most advanced (culture, science, math, medicine, agriculture, libraries) city in Europe while many countries/regions in Europe were still at the cave-man level.  Some of you forget that southern France was also part of this empire as well.  And that the Islam Empire eclipsed all other empires before it - in size and scope and civilization.

Some of you forget that you still study Algebra.  And "algorithms".  You still use 1,2,3... up to 10, then rinse, repeat (although most don't never knew why they were called Arabic numerals!).  And 99% of you don't know what the numbers have those shapes do you?  Why is three, 3?  Why is one "1"? And you never knew that Islam defined the concept of 0 (zero) and the symbol, and the word "cipher" is the Arabic word "sifr" (although again, what this all means will have to be saved for another day).

European scientific elite purported that the Earth was the centre of the Universe and the Sun and Moon revolved around it.  The Muslims corrected that.  Who laid the groundwork that led to the Higgs Boson - The so-called "God Particle" breakthrough?  A Muslim? Kind of like a blind squirell finding an acorn eh?

The first World maps?  Accurate and in color? - Muslims back in 1100.  Columbus knew who to add to his crew...

If Islam world is so uncivilized, why do you put on Islamic orgin garb (the graduation cap and gown) when you finally accomplish your first meaningful task in life (besides getting laid)? Opps...  And if it were not for Muslims many more Europeans (than were already) would be burned or hanged for having evil spirits (epilepsy) rather than recognizing the medical condition.  (Here, Muslims should have kept their mouth shut.  But then who knows what would have happened to Sir Isaac Newton, Dickens, Agatha Christie, Nobel, DaVinci, Michelangelo... Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Nixon...)

Ah what the heck; probably beating a dead horse here... (hmmm, wonder did they coin that phrase too?  Naw, sounds cowboyish.  Anyway; what do they know about horses...).

Peace.

At some point it was decided that science was an offense to their god because it puts limits to his acts and that was the end of it. Someone studied in Islam may tell you exactly when was that.

Can someone tell me what was the religion background of those who blew up those old giant Buddhas in Afghanistan that survived for centuries through many wars? That's right... and for what exactly?

As for "European scientific elite purported that the Earth was the centre of the Universe and the Sun and Moon revolved around it", have Miles Ahead learned of relativity? In an infinite universe you can put the center where you wish... an nothing changes.

I read what you posted.

I had to re-read what you posted.

YOU obviously do NOT know your history.

Islam is like the BORG collective. Everything that you attribute to them was STOLEN by them and added to what they thought would add to the Dar-as-Sallam. That which was not useful was destroyed (kinda like the Taliban destroying the Buddhist statues in Bamyian province - I saw what they did and my take away was that muslims are SAVAGES!!).

You also forgot about Dhimmitude!

You also forgot about Zakhat and how non-muslims pay more then then a regular muslim.

You didn't mention ANYTHING about islam allowing SLAVERY? A little oversight? Maybe the continuing trafficking in humans?

Where is Constantinople? Right, those peoples just decided to become muslim?

Where did the Jannisaries come from?

When Catherine the Great decided to invade the Crimean Khanate, it was because the MUSLIMS were selling CHRISTIANs into slavery - hence the term - SLAV.

Islam teaches otherwise normal people into becoming SAVAGES!!!

EVERYTHING that islam has, was STOLEN!

There maybe something to admire about the islamic culture, I haven't seen it.

If I had three wishes this would be it:

1. First wish - Build a wall three miles high around Afghanistan.
2. Second wish - take EVERY muslim in the world and put them in Afghanistan.
3. Third wish - Fill Afghanistan up with the water.

A few points:

- Tartars practiced slavery before they became Muslims, their practice of slavery had nothing to do with Islamic influence. Christians also practiced slavery, in case you forgot US history, do you want to suggest Christianity was responsible for slavery as well?

- When Turks conquered Constantinople they allowed the people to live in peace and continue to practice their own religion, the conversion of the population to Islam was gradual, it was done through time and BY CHOICE, NOT BY FORCE. Hell, the Turkish sultans were so accomadative of the populace they even renamed the city to what the local residents always called it - "Istanbul", that's right, Istanbul was the local name for their city NOT an imposed Turkish name.

- Jannisaries came from Slavic boys who were raised Muslim in a semi-monastic life, they were not slaves, and Jannisaries could rise to very high status in Turkish society, the Jannisary Corp as an institution also held vast sways of political power in the Turkish political structure until their abolishment. No foreign-born(Turk or Nth African) Muslim could ever even dream of attaining a similar position in an European Christian society in the same time period.

You are the one who don't know shit about history but likes to scream and pretend you do. Want to quote history? make sure you fucking study it first.

Those "Arabic Numerals" you mention come from India.

ME was the confluence of knowldege from both the West (Greeks/Romans) and the East (Persia/India/China).  Yet today, outside Israel there's not one university in the ME worth it's salt.  It's become a place where knowledge goes to die.  One could blame oil politics/resource curse etc. yet why didn't US which has abundant natural resource suffer from the same curse.  So instead of trying to blame West for meddling, denizens of ME should do some soul search as to why ME became so weak that West could meddle.  It's not like Arabs were pacifist and therefore were subjugated by blood thirstly West.  They were equally blood thirsty.  Just look at how they vanquished Egypt, Mesopotamia, Persia and India.

Mon, 06/16/2014 - 21:54 | 4863680 Wild Theories

They could also blame the Mongols for the sack of Bagdad and the burning of their libraries(on top of the millions slaughtered), the Mongol destruction in the ME sent the entire region into the dark ages.

But history is history, there's nothing anyone can do about it.

While AT FIRST BLUSH...this post seems to presents Facts about Islam or Muslims, I must point out, that...drum roll P-LEZE:

before 610 A.D. there were:

a) The "Western" Religions: Jewish & Many other sects of Christians (who fought amongst themselves), including the early Catholic Churches/sects.

b) The "Eastern" Religions Bhudism, Hinduism, etc.

c) The Roman and other Pagen religions and sects.

ISLAM STARTED in 610 A.D. Its one of the Youngest "religions" on Earth. Im pretty sure almost everything that was pointed out was in fact known to the educated PRIOR to 610 A.D.

See...Muslims/Islam was a break-away religion of...the Jews. Period. The. End. MOST of them, and anyone who thinks Islam invented Algebra, dont get that, and they unknowingly assume the Islam was around a lot longer than it really has been...E-Z to change history I guess.

But to assume everything around us is owed to Islam, is, well...not only incorrect, its arrogant and blatently false. What...those old Roman Arches, Jerusalem Domes, and Egyptian Pyramids were built WITHOUT algbraic knowledge...uh huh.

thought so. not.

So, you are saying Islam is stuck at around 1100 AD or so? Is that your point? The world has moved on quite a bit since then and left the Islamic world way behind in technology, culture, art, and civilized behavior. Perhaps you would like ot defend:

- Killing people for having a different religion

- Killing women who are raped for infidelity

- Killing homosexuals for being homosexual

- Denying women the most basic of rights and dignity

- Sanctioned slavery of non-muslims

- Killing people for derogatory remarks about their god, prophet or religion

- Genital mutilation because it is sinful for women to enjoy sex

- Killing of female children because they have "inappropriate" conversations or relationships

- Rape of condemned women and girls because it is sinful to kill virgins

- The belief that if you die trying to kill non-muslims, you go to heaven and get 72 virgins to despoil, that is, they turn heaven into a whore house

I could go on and on and on. It matters not a whit what a people or civilization was 1,000 years ago, or even 50 or 10 years ago. What matters is what they are today, in the here and now. And what they are today is a gaggle of barbarians stuck somewhere between the 11th and 13th century. They are cruel and nasty, and will kill you or enslave you if given the chance. That is the actual fact of the current state of affairs.

A re-trenchment to North America is underway, however to continue spending on the elite's fave projects, any social contract for medicare or SS will have to be abrogated. Jobs will come back to the US, but the illegal immigration will be allowed to continue in order to put downward pressure on wages. Not saying you're wrong about the average American being an idiot, I was just responding to the guy above- those people don't take care of jack shit. A case in point, we gave the Bahrainis an old perry class frigate, and it just sits at the pier. On the pier side, and what the citizens could see from the road and from the city, it was painted up all pretty and looked brand new, on the side that faxed out to the water, it was covered in rust and looked like you could poke holes in it with your finger, and I never saw it move one single time. They think doing any kind of physical activity or training is beneath them as Arabs, so they just don't do it. And why should they? They know American money and American lives are what will be spent if anything ever goes down anyway. Exact same situation with the Iraqis and Kuwaitis. None of them care, because we will come in and do it for them and they know it. Same reason they don't maintain their equipment. The trouble with giving things to people for free is they tend to treat it as valueless. Best to just pull our people out of there completely, shouldn't have been there in the first place

It's true. Arabic does not lend itself well as a language to technical matters. Almost all technical words are borrowed. The hands-on intelligence does not keep up with the head knowledge. I used to fly with some folks of middle eastern background. One guy we nicknamed "Kamakazi Kazazi" because of his actual scary incompetence at the controls. But he got high scores on all his written exams (head knowledge). What these guys lack in eye/hand skills and common sense they make up for in single-minded fanaticism. I knew another Iraqi who lost an engine in a Piper Aztec over Mount Soledad on the climb out of Montgomery Field (San Diego). He was enroute to Catalina Island. Did he turn around and fly the four or five miles back to base? Fuck no! He flew all the way to Catalina on one engine and called for maintenence from there. Stupidity or balls? In the end, it really doesn't matter does it?

Correct - look how those idiots are using that tank. They are firing the main gun over their rear deck, which means their weakest armor is facing the enemy. The gun's elevation is also very high. If they are not shooting at a upper story of a tall building, they are shooting at somethign at extreme range with very little probability of making a hit, or completely misusing the fire control system. They are using no cover or concealment, or movement. Anyway, it's a T-54/55 POS, which are both fun and easy to kill, even when driven by competent tankers.

Guess knowing how to operate a TV remote control means jack at that time.

Nice troll job.  America doesn't have millions of people (children included) who are born with a firearm in their hand and are called upon, at least yearly, to make a couple hundred yard, single shot on a human sized (or larger) animal (putting it in the kill zone of a 32oz bottle), remaining perfectly camoflauged and attempting to control breathing due to the target being able to see the heated air in the still, freezing morning as well as any remotely sudden movements of the shooter.  Obviously things are different when bullets are incoming, but literally the entirety of rural america is founded upon the consistent and frequent use of firearms.  There are plenty of mall ninjas out there, no doubt...  however, there are still plenty of folks with a lot of know-how and the skill to implement it.

Uh HUh...get over here...to the U.S. en mass...Without encountering severe if not 100% casualties of your air or sea-based mass-human transport ships.

Not encounter the Navies new Long-Awaited Rail-Gun.

Avoid our over-the-Horizon Baack-Scatter Radar systems, which we also have in Guam and Hawaii and Alaska, Oregon, Upper Atlantic, and US-Lite (Canada) (also Mexico but we have different issues there)

And then discover that even thought there are a lot of beer-drinking couch-potato lards out there, that there are just as many Americans willing to draw arms with THOUSANDS of rounds of ammunition per household.

O and dont forget we have like Military bases with Active F-16, 18's, 22's and 35's in almost every state.

Invade America at ones own peril. We are a broken nation socially and politically, but once someone attempts a Trans-Oceanic invasion, they will be met with severe casualties.

It would require a coordinated world-wide effort, in which case, our nuclear subs would raise their contries to the ground.

M.A.D. my friends.

Seriously big difference between firing off a round to actually operating the Tank in combat conditions.  However, who is going to fight back ?

I might still be able to fly a blackhawk or pavehawk still, but I will not be able to operate the weapons system or know how to arm it or load it.

Makes a great Trojan horse though.

Considering that a force of 30,000 broke and ran when attacked by a force of 1,000 do you really believe that none of the 30,000 were on the other side from the start?  How many of those were trained by US forces to fly those helos and drive those tanks, and maintain said equipment?  My bet is they have men with as good of skills as the Iraqi Army does, just not as many.  But then again, who needs numbers when you have commitment and infiltrators (see above).

ISIS is not Al Qaida.  This is a fairly disciplined, combat tested, hold the ground and take more ground kind of army.  This isn't hole up in the mountains and set off road side bombs Al Qaida.  These guys are the real deal.

BTW, anyone hear about how the western trained forces are doing in Syria?  No?  Huh, one would wonder if they are actually fighting in Syria...

The opium grown in Afghanistan will help to settle things in the region.

'Americans' have a long tradition (nearly as old as themselves) of using drugs to weaken or destroy the social fabric in targeted populations.

It helps their 'american' submission performance.

Nobody should worry: 'americans' have ramped up the production in Afghanistan to distribute it all around.

The way it works in an 'american' world.

Everything run by the government always was "poorly run".  Govermnment offices have no motive other than satisfying political overlords.  Efficiency, sanity, honor, etc do not get you raises, promotions, or respect.  Imagine the Soviet Union and the stories we used to hear about it.  That is Washington DC, and your state capitol, with extra money.  They extra money merely made it possible to cover up the stupidity.  Now that the money has run out, the stupidity can no longer be covered up and is plain for all to see.

IF they are using tanks properly then they were trained to use them by the West. Isis was trained by the US in turkey with saudi money, as they all are and were.. Isis went rogue last april and had all they needed to cause trouble.

I said before that this was treachery ( the fall of mosul ) and Maliki is on record as saying it is an act of conspiracy and connivance.

Wrong on the rogue part. If they went rogue they never would have been able to march unchecked into and through Iraq with no air support considering the US controls the airspace.... It is kinda hard to hide this sort of thing from aerial survelliance in a fucking desert.

Maliki is right they threw him under the bus to stir up the Shia/Sunni grudgematch to suck Iran into this. It don't take much to inflame this divisions and get these people fighting each other. Iran unfortunately is probably going to fall right into the trap because of this. When you got one tracked mind idol worshippers it is easy to play them off each other and they will gladly play along also.
