Well...the consensus is the "don't over react" reaction is the way to go. "Everything else can just be made up."
There is a good argument here...just show up, wave, smile, let someone else be responsible. Then move along.

Bush reached the limits (if there are any) when he said 'watch this drive'. Obama was not born with a silver spoon on third base, so he has to try harder, which curiously makes him seem smaller and meaner and less caring than his predecessor he has to work at acting disinterested, Bush just walked away
it reminds people that american politics is an aristocracy, and that the slaves will never be able to run the plantation. for that matter Bush and Kerry are the same. the voters are through with psuedo populists, they will hand the country back to the oligarchy next time. the people who start wars, (only losers finish them). Obama is the imitation aristocracy.
So Obama is supposedly a Game of Thrones fan. He also seems to think he is the King of the US and can make his own law. Apparently nobody has pointed out to him that the kings in Game of Thrones aren't doing too well and the actual kings that George R. R. Martin used for inspiration, often had even worse ends than what is in his books or are shown on HBO.
In particular I think of Edmund Ironsides who while using the jakes, was impaled up the ass, and Edmund II who was held down, had a leather funnel shoved up his butt and a red hot poker shoved in to cook his intestines. In Edmund II's case it gave them a nice looking corpse with no exterior wounds and they considered it suitable due to his flagrant homosexual favoritism. Oh looky, no Kingly blood was shed. Of course the rumor was that the villagers below the castle could hear the screams for a long time.
So if I was Obama I'd be real careful in the bathroom. He might find more than his approval polls in the crapper.
