Russia "Not Optimistic" After EU Peace Talks; Threatens To Limit Reselling Gas To Ukraine

With Petroshenko agreeing to extend today's cease-fire deadline for 3 days, the Russians, unfortunately, are not optimistic after the 'expert-level' talks in Europe. Given this, it appears Russia is preparing its retaliation for possible further sanctions that are being waved by Europe and the US. As AP reports, Russia's state-controlled gas company, Gazprom, says it could limit supplies to European customers that intend to re-sell the natural gas on to Ukraine. Whil enot naming specific countries, the Gazprom CEO explained he needed to clamp down on the so-called reverse-flow supplies the the cut-off Ukraine as they were "half-fraudulent schemes."

He wouldn't name any specific countries.

Gazprom this month cut gas shipments to Ukraine amid a debt and pricing dispute. Supplies to Europe via Ukraine and other pipelines haven't been affected, however. Ukraine has sought to counter the Russian move by trying to negotiate gas supplies from other European countries that buy Russian gas.

And if the West thinks sanctions will slow them down... think again...

This multiplicity of names can make a search for chemicals somewhat difficult and frustrating. However, if you search for a chemical by the CAS number it will return the correct chemical even if the name on the fracturing record does not match. For example if the fracturing record listed the chemical Hydrogen chloride and you searched for it by name using a chemical search site you may not get a result. But if you search for CAS # 007647-01-0 it might return Hydrochloric acid which is another name of Hydrogen chloride. Therefore, by using the CAS number you can avoid the issue of multiple names for the same chemical.

Multiple names for the same chemical can also leave you with the impression that there are more chemicals than actually exist.  If you search the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) ‡ website the alternate names of chemicals are listed. This may help you identify the precise chemical you are looking for. The NIST site also contains the CAS numbers for chemicals. The Ukrainian gas debt is too high now to be repaid. The EU will not pay it and Ukraine will never earn the dollars to settle any part of that debt. The new EU deal signed today opens Ukraine to EU imports duty free. The Germans are about to put most Ukrainian businesses, such as they are, out of business. Kiev's coup leaders will be trying to start a war in the east in order to take people's minds off the coming unemployment fire storm about to sweep across Ukraine. The freedom to import into Ukraine of Germany, France and others will quickly replace most Ukrainian domestic goods with imports.

The reason Putin is playing for time and not invading and still shipping gas if paid for upfront, is because he awaits the total collapse of Ukraine's economy and an EU that could save Greece let alone a huge economy like Ukraine.

Also, the entire trade agreement with Russia, Ukraine's chief market, will have to be changed, or else Russia itself would be open to duty free imports by the EU via Ukraine. Ukraine now has free trade with both EU and Russian Federation. Thus a ocean of German goods can be sent to Ukraine duty free and passed on into Russia duty free via the Ukrainian Russian Federation trade agreement. Putin can not allow that situation to stand.

Russia is by far Ukraine's chief and only real market for it's production. Loss of this market, plus an open border to EU imports will end most all Ukrainian industry and manufacturing in a flash.

Kiev Nazis think that the EU is going to support the entire Ukraine with free money and EU passports. Wrong! The economic shit storm about to overtake Ukraine will be epic.
