ISIS Declares A Caliphate; Crucifies 9 Syrian Rebels For Being "Too Moderate"

Tyler Durden's picture

Erstwhile leader of ISIS, Sheikh Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi has declared himself Caliphate, Amir Al-Mu'minin - Leader of Believers, as militants bear down on Baghdad. This comes as the extremist group demands that all Al-Qaeda and Jihadi branches must now pledge allegiance to ISIS.. if not there are consequences as nine rebels have been crucified for being too 'moderate' or accused of receiving support from Western powers. We suspect this may slow 'demand' for Obama's latest cunning plan to offer 'aid' to only "moderate" terrorists.

ISIS have declared their Caliphate.

Which means...

And all Al-Qaeda and Jihadis must pledge allegiance to ISIS

As a reminder, this is how ISIS envisions its Caliphate:

Or fear death for being too moderate... (as RT reports)

Eight rebel fighters have been crucified in Syria by the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) because they were considered too moderate, a monitoring group said on Sunday.

The eight men were brutally killed in the town square of Deir Hafar in the east of Aleppo province on June 28 because they were from rebel groups that had fought the jihadists as well as President Bashar Assad’s forces, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, AFP reports.

ISIS then “crucified them in the main square of the village, where their bodies will remain for three days,” the pro-opposition NGO added.

A ninth man was crucified alive in Aleppo province where he was nailed up for eight hours in Al-Bab near the Turkish border as a punishment, although he has reportedly survived the ordeal.

We suspect there will not be too many takers for President Obama's newly unveiled plan to offer "aid" to "moderate" Syrian rebels... Red line?

As Reuters reports, better not hold your hand out for Western support...

The men were accused of being "Sahwa" fighters, the Observatory said, a term ISIL uses to refer to rival combatants whom it accuses of being controlled by Western powers.

Galtahu Akhbar!

Of course, true capitalists really know how to do the punishment thingy for thinking incorrectly. Like snuffing the life out of a whole fucking city, Pol Pot style.

"When you see those lights go out," said Galt, "then you will know that our job is done." ~Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

Looking down, they could see the last convulsions...the lights of New York had gone out. Dagny gasped. "Don't look down!" Galt ordered sharply. ~Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

Crucifying infidels. Allah must be so pleased.

Top Gear's picture

All guilty infidels who think impure thoughts must die, just like they did in the Taggart Tunnel.

...there were those who would have said that the passengers of the Comet were not guilty or responsible for the thing that happened to them. ~Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged, p. 566

Even the children of those whose minds think incorrectly must be slaughtered.

The woman in Bedroom D, Car No. 10, was a mother who had put her two children to sleep in the berth above her, carefully tucking them in, protecting them from drafts and jolts; a mother whose husband held a government job enforcing directives, which she defended by saying, 'I don't care, it's only the rich that they hurt. After all, I must think of my children.' ~Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged, p. 567

Preferably the adults will be awake, so they're aware of their punishment for their sins of thinking incorrectly.

"These passengers were awake; there was not a man aboard the train who did not share one or more of their ideas." ~Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged p. 568

Remember, it's ok for capitalists to use bad methods for a good cause.

Rand herself—says to a Bolshevik: "I loathe your ideals. I admire your methods. If one believes one's right, one shouldn't wait to convince millions of fools, one might just as well force them."

P.S. A desolate earth is the goal of true capitalists everywhere.

"The road is cleared," said Galt. "We are going back to the world." He raised his hand and over the desolate earth he traced in space the sign of the dollar. ~Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

The question isn't "what happens to Baghdad" but "what will the Big. Baghdaddy do next?"

Once they feel a victory such as this...might be hard to stop them actually.

Sheikh Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi

aka El SABAB from now on.

Amir al-Mu'minin is usually translated Commander of the Faithful or Prince of the Faithful, but Leader of the Believers might be a better translation. It is the Arabic style of Caliphs and other independent sovereign Muslim rulers that claim legitimacy from a community of Muslims. It has been claimed as the title of rulers in Muslim countries and empires and is still used for some Muslim leaders.

They're such nice boys.
They're so misunderstood.
They're not all like that.
That's stereotyping them.
We mustn't annoy them or show any disrespect.
Their religion is one of peace.
Nobody understands them.
We must practice their traditions to absorb them into society.
They are truly inclusive and diverse
They love all mankind.
It's the Christians fault.
They, oh fuck off.

They are trying to change the subject, like Top Gear complaining about Ayn Rand in the comments below.

They last thing they want to talk about is the fact that these supposed "moderate sunnis" they were supporting are getting crucified, and that all the money and effort they wasted ended up arming and training a bunch of AQ fanatics, who are about to re-enact another Fall of Saigon moment, while Princess Obama is on watch.

We're now aligned with Syria in Iraq.  As sick as it is, I had to laugh.  All of our little spy games over there are blowing up in our face.

In a sign of the expanding international crisis sparked by ISIS's rapid advances, Syrian warplanes have bombed some of the jihadist group's bases in Iraq, Ali A. Nabhan and Matt Bradley of The Wall Street Journal report.

The bombing run was carried out in the western province of Anbar, which shares a long and mostly unpatrolled border with Syria. ISIS has found the space needed to plan and launch offensives in Iraq and Syria in the undefended and lawless frontier between the two countries.

The more I listen to various opinions on this, the more it seems to me that nobody has any idea what the fuck is going on over there.

CIA running around with no oversight funding all kinds of groups willy nilly with their Narco bucks and then the Pentagon pursuing a completely different goal with the regular military.

I don't think it's some grand plan, I think it's just massive incompetence and hubris.

One does get a powerful sense that the left hand is at odds with the right.  I've seen healthy organizations ruined in pathological hands. PNAC and other publications are testament to hubris. Where is the accountability?  Who accepts responsibility for the decisions that led to this, and who is going to take what steps to restore stability and get our people out of there?  The corruption and tension and internal strife below the surface must be tremendous.  How long before it ignites closer to home?

Yes it is terror, and guess what it's working.  These terrorists where trained by us in Jordan and they turned and now they are using not only their knowledge buy our knowledge on how to control and terrorize.  This terrorist group is going to be the monster for the us and europe.  They are smack dab in the middle east and on top of all that oil wealth and not to mention the infrastructure of all that oil that feeds the rest of the world.  ISIS or ISIL is Sunni Saudi Arabia is Sunni and most Sunni kingdoms have major Shia minorities that have been demanding rights and Iran has been stocking that.  They are going to use ISIS aka ISIL as their foot soldiers to fight this shadow war against Shia and the west.

Christophe2's picture

None of this is a problem for TPTB, especially regarding the return home of most of these trained-by-US terrorists, since this will give TPTB the excuses necessary for further eroding our rights.  Any crimes ISIL manage to commit will tarnish regular Muslims and even give the excuse for putting them in camps, if 'need' be.

The Western puppet politicians have been carping for years about how the return of all these extremists will be a big problem: this is predictive programming at work!!!

What is a problem for society is often not a problem for criminal elites, and in fact these problems become distractions that let the other crimes (ex: Fed, etc.) be eclipsed.  It is also worth noting that our puppet politicians benefit from having problems they can appear to solve (ex: defeating some puppet enemy) when the time is right.

OT: another interesting example of predictive programming is how we have been warned for decades that future wars would be fought for water and that a water shortage was coming.  I guess it wasn't happening fast enough, so fracking had to get unlimited funding, and when we will finally notice that there is indeed a severe drinkable water problem (for people + farms + nature), most won't be surprised that things are indeed becoming 'just like predicted'...

If the Tea Party anarchists are going to be a bunch of bums, then expect FEMA and DHS to be unleashed.

"Cops must be unleashed, and allowed to administer instant punishment...unleash the cops to clear the streets of bums and vagrants. Where will they go? Who cares?" ~Murray Rothbard

Sure, FEMA and DHS might appear a little fascist some days, and it is problematic, but such fascist methods will be the salvation of civilization and capitalism.

"It cannot be denied that Fascism...SAVED European civilization. The merit that Fascism has thereby won for itself will live on eternally in history. But though its policy has brought SALVATION..." ~Ludwig von Mises, Liberalism

Saved! National Socialism!

"An economist is still an economist"...whatever his quirky political views. Hitler yammered on and on endless about production figures to his Generals. I find it interesting that he committed suicide in his "bunker" as it would appear to mean he actually believed in his war.

Do you believe in your war? Be honest! Do you HONESTLY believe in what you are saying.

At first blush you appear to be advocating for terror and anarchy as well.

Top Gear's picture

Believe in war? Hell yeah, what capitalist doesn't believe in a good racket? War is the way markets are created, as a side effect of providing for the military.

" and markets do not emerge spontaneously...if one simply hands out coins to the soldiers and then demands that every family in the kingdom was obliged to pay one of those coins back to you, one would, in one blow, turn one’s entire national economy into a vast machine for the provisioning of soldiers, since now every family, in order to get their hands on the coins, must find some way to contribute to the general effort to provide soldiers with things they want. Markets are brought into existence as a side effect."
