Obama Worst President Since World War II, More Say US Would Be Better Under Romney, Latest Poll Finds
The president is increasingly finding that telling the Mr. Chairmanwoman to rig the market to all time highs does not translate to a comparable popularity rating. In fact, just the opposite.
While Obama's slide in the polls is nothing new, the latest data from the Quinnipiac University Poll is about as bad as it gets for the president: in fact, perhaps the only thing more shocking than Obama "surpassing" George W. Bush as the worst president since World War II is the onset of revisionism, with some 45% saying the US would have been better with Romney as president, compared to just 38% who say Obama remains the better choice. Which incidentally confirms what we reported yesterday: while the Republican view of Obama has certainly never been lower, what is worse is that even the core democrat faithful are now giving up on the hope and change bringer, confirmed by the latest Gallup poll which saw democrat confidence in the economy tumbling to the lowest level for 2014.

With Mr. Obama deploying military troops to Iraq, failing to find compromise with Congress and seeing major defeats in the Supreme Court, voters continue to sour on him.
Quinnipiac found 45 percent of voters say the country would have been better off if Mr. Romney, the 2012 GOP nominee, had been election, while just 38 percent say Mr. Obama remains a better choice. Even Democrats aren’t so sure — just 74 percent of them told the pollsters Mr. Obama was clearly the better pick in the last election.
Voters also rate him the worst president since World War II, topping even his predecessor, President George W. Bush, who had left office with terrible ratings.
“Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.
A Zogby Analytics Poll released Wednesday also found Mr. Obama slipping — in that survey, to 44 percent approval, while his disapproval leapt 4 percentage points from last month to reach 54 percent.
Nearly half of voters told the Zogby poll that Mr. Obama is “unable to lead the country.”
And now, back to hoping and praying that by rigging the Dow Jones above the "psychological level" of 17,000, voters will finally notice and give Obama his due.

A manipulated stock market distorted by recent economic policy hides and mask the real truth, in many ways it is ground zero in the war to convince us all is well.
The American people and Main Street will tell you they are far from convinced that it is smooth sailing ahead. Huge weakness in the economy has been shown by numbers that barely get by even after record amounts of stimulus. Fact is if QE or the massive government deficit spending that props up our economy is removed it will fold like a cheap umbrella.
Recent changes in how the GDP is figured , which boosted growth thus reducing the debt to growth ratio, and attempts to spin poor numbers regarding employment have been met with skepticism. More on this subject in the article below.

I've never voted for the man; not after May 2008 when I read he was getting more in donations from the Finance sector than either Sen. McCain (who would promise anything to anyone) or Sen. Clinton (who was the sitting Senator from New York, extremely friendly to Finance, and former First Lady to the then-most Wall-Street-subservient President we'd ever had).
Then in September 2008 as it was all hitting the fan, both Candidate Obama and Candidate McCain promised, if elected, to name one Timothy F. Geithner as Secretary of the Treasury. That kind of gave the game away. I read about that on this very website, by the way.

I could see how Obama won in 2008 against the Bush legacy, McCain and Palin. But if one looked in an unbiased way on paper at Romney vs Obama in 2012, Romney was the better choice. But, this is how populism works. If Bloomberg were up against DiBlasio in NYC today, not that he was perfect, but Bloomberg wouldn't win and he is clearly more capable and experienced. Until the screw ups of government policy come to light, the majority of the nation has bought into the benevolent government, bad private industry theme. It's now ok to hire a less qualified person if they are a minority or female, it's ok to complain about fracking and energy companies while driving a huge SUV and living in a McMansion, it's ok to complain that capitalism and free markets aren't perfect whiile not pointing out that the alternatives are much worse.
Listening to Hilary Clinton bash the Supreme Court's decision not to require small private businesses to provide contraception against their own beliefs was incredulous. She twisted the argument to say the court was at war with women and didn't want them to have access, which is not the fact at all. They just said that someone else shouldn't be forced to pay for another's contraceptives if it is against their religious beliefs.
