Obama Worst President Since World War II, More Say US Would Be Better Under Romney, Latest Poll Finds

Tyler Durden's picture

The president is increasingly finding that telling the Mr. Chairmanwoman to rig the market to all time highs does not translate to a comparable popularity rating. In fact, just the opposite.

While Obama's slide in the polls is nothing new, the latest data from the Quinnipiac University Poll is about as bad as it gets for the president: in fact, perhaps the only thing more shocking than Obama "surpassing" George W. Bush as the worst president since World War II is the onset of revisionism, with some 45% saying the US would have been better with Romney as president, compared to just 38% who say Obama remains the better choice. Which incidentally confirms what we reported yesterday: while the Republican view of Obama has certainly never been lower, what is worse is that even the core democrat faithful are now giving up on the hope and change bringer, confirmed by the latest Gallup poll which saw democrat confidence in the economy tumbling to the lowest level for 2014.

More from Washington Times:

With Mr. Obama deploying military troops to Iraq, failing to find compromise with Congress and seeing major defeats in the Supreme Court, voters continue to sour on him.

Quinnipiac found 45 percent of voters say the country would have been better off if Mr. Romney, the 2012 GOP nominee, had been election, while just 38 percent say Mr. Obama remains a better choice. Even Democrats aren’t so sure — just 74 percent of them told the pollsters Mr. Obama was clearly the better pick in the last election.

Voters also rate him the worst president since World War II, topping even his predecessor, President George W. Bush, who had left office with terrible ratings.

“Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

A Zogby Analytics Poll released Wednesday also found Mr. Obama slipping — in that survey, to 44 percent approval, while his disapproval leapt 4 percentage points from last month to reach 54 percent.

Nearly half of voters told the Zogby poll that Mr. Obama is “unable to lead the country.”

And now, back to hoping and praying that by rigging the Dow Jones above the "psychological level" of 17,000, voters will finally notice and give Obama his due.

This just in from Yahoo News AP report --

"In a report released Tuesday night, the bipartisan, five-member Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, appointed by President Barack Obama, largely endorsed a set of NSA surveillance programs...[and] found that the NSA monitoring was legal and reasonable..."

Well, I wonder if a bipartisan board appointed by Saddam Hussein, Adolf Hitler and Pol Pot would largely endorse the same policy.  I think so.

is there even a proportional relationship between peoples opinion of the president and our well-being? If there is, it's inversely proportional to popularity. As far as I can tell, the most popular (and therefore powerful) presidents are the ones that screwed us the most.

so, luvin' me some obama...

Since I'm near the entry to my 7th decade and I've only figured out recently that presidents are puppets and elected officials are wherever they get elected in order to increase their own personal power or that of their puppetmasters, I think others younger than I can be excused for not having enough experience to realize that elections are votes for a very bad status quo system and presidents can't and therefore won't fix anything. The last one who tried was murdered and the coverup is still going on. Who would take the chance ever again?

Maybe with Romney things might look different but I don't think it would BE different, we'd still be in deep statist bankster debt s--t and my money market fund "return" still would be 3 cents per quarter.

That's it, we're going after those tea baggers and we're eliminating and denigrating all of them and coming up with a NEW 5 year plan. Then this NEXT time will be completely different...you'll see, then we'll have the socialist utopian nirvana that Marx talked of...

I was visiting in Berkeley when O was running for his first term. Walking down Shattuck Ave. it seemed every other store front had one of those Obama posters pasted in the display window, him looking up, and hopeful, and changeful, and all that.

And I remember thinking (not saying, thinking) that all the Berkeleyites were deluding themselves. What was that man saying that demonstrated he was a leader? That he could be trusted? That he would bring the change we wanted and needed so desperately?

They were all running on a different frequency than me. I couldn't hear a thing. Haven't heard a single thing any Presidential candidate has said for a long long time.

All the people fit for President either don't want the job or can't get the job.

(Didn't Clinton run on change? Shouldn't they have learned, and asked for ID this time around?)

Know it's not popular but I see nothing to gain anymore by hating the guy. This is especially true if you want to be his replacement. No one has worked harder for Republican causes than Mitt Romney. PERIOD. "Puts his money where is mouth is" as well. Great man, great 'merican. But if I were advising him i ditch that Republican logo.

Simply put saying "I'm a Republican" or "I'm a Democrat" is death to the cash flow...let alone having to deal with a materially significant "War Establishment" that now exists en toto in Washington DC.

Simply put "you're either a soldier or you're not." How don't care how many elections you've won or think you will win. When you show up in that town...now and going forward for the next thousand years...you're up to eyeballs in brass and ammo.

"The current to do list is Ukraine, Libya, North Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, China, Russia, the EU, the Mexican Border, Central America in General and now Argentina."

How many human beans believe that one guy,  no more than few steps down from the Gorillas, apes, and monkeys, (they are the ADVANCED evolutionary species not, emphatically, Homo Sapiens, Erectus, or Horribilis) has the ability, brains, natural talents, charisma, leadership, and other characteristics required to do the job as POTUS??

The answer is:  Nobody.

I don't like theBamster any more than Bushes, clintons, or the Muppets in this job simply because it cannot be done.

EVERYONE who occupies the position of POTUS in a democratic republic is going to be a miserable failure.  Aside from the media spinning their faves from lead strands into gold, NO one can ever be expected to do more than survive in the 4-8 years they have the jump seat of Air Force One. After that they go off into oblivion hopefully, or being addicted to the obeisance paid to them by their supporters, refuse to slink off silently in to the night, like clinton, who must suffer terrible pangs of depression not still sitting the Oral Office, licking cigars that have been extracted from nubile young female interns' vaginas.

On its own, it means nothing that theBamster or anyone else cannot do the job. What it signifies however, is far more important, the most important information we could ever get from the conclusion we can draw from the job being merely a symbol.

And that information was known back in 1860 when the states one by one began to secede from the union. Our best chance to have a viable governance, of, by and for the people was when a dozen or more countries could have formed on this part of the N. American continent.

Since then we have witnessed a nearly complete usurpation of States' rights by a Federal, (InterGlobal, really) take over of individual, and states preferences of how they wish govern themselves.

States are not even permitted to disallow a sanctioned buttfucking minority from insisting upon their 'rights' to be married, overturning thousands of years of sanctioned unions between a man and woman.

It would be wise to lower your expectations to below the floor for anyone who has the sociopathic personality to think that they have the answers to governance of 360,000,000 growing to 500,000,000 human beans.

The arrogance, audacity, the complete tyrannical mindset that thinks it can triumph over the individual to force laws down their throats that they do not agree with is the crime here, not the actual occupation of the Oral Office.

Actually, if they were to stick with their enumerated powers as specified in the constitution they would be as popular as the likes of Calvin Coolidge. In other words they would be of no particular noteworthiness, but nor would they be hated. That's the best that it will ever get. DC and POTUS are far outside their constitutional bounds, and in that light your comments make all the sense in the world.

The coverage of "Watergate 40 years after" that aired on PBS got me thinking about how President Nixon did not resign right away after five men were arrested for trying to break into the offices of the Democratic National Committee at the Watergate hotel and office complex. It took a long time for the dots to be connected and the temperature to rise. A comparison of the times, 1972 and 2012, and how society has changed leads me to ponder some of the issues that brought about his demise.

I can state without a doubt that a President would no longer have to hire "burglars" to break into an opponent's headquarters, the technology of today is far more sophisticated. Today a President with his own White House propaganda machine, and a few well placed lies or misleading information placed out on Sunday talk shows could have the same effect on an election that skullduggery would of had in the past. More on all the scandals surrounding the President and how it might play out in the article below.

Try to not get your thinking framed -
one now must realize it is extremey likely that things on such a level had been done before Nixon by many presidents, and also had been caught red-handed.
So the only difference is in 1972 there was a concerted, steadily increasing media circus on it - the standard 68er's and do-gooders approach: try to shame the person into the "correct" behavior.
Only problem with that is 1. you can't shame true psychopaths and 2. the opponents quickly learned to use the shaming-method against completely innocent persons as well.

"Kenyan Interior Minister Ooba Dooba today announced records purporting to show The Bath House, celebrated in Kenya as the first Kenyan-American president were forgeries.

"Many of our people were happy one of us became US President. I must now denounce this due to our authorities finding any link between the US President and Kenya are False. He is a 100% US Product," said the Minister.'

Maybe rethink the policy of closing old threads for comments. I like to go back and get my final shot in.

Back in 2008, Obama was the radical leftists "great black hope" that would finally prove that a black man could run shit just as well as a white one.

Fast forward six years, and it's crystal clear to anybody with an IQ above 80, that this schwartza is not unique and is running the US into the ground just like every other typical African or Carribean nation where blacks are in charge.

What's really scary here is the high number of Americans that approve of him. Unles, of course, the numbers are rigged.

Just what I wanted for xmas, a hedge-fund billionaire mormon for President..

People are disillusioned with the system in general, anyone who can make it into office is indebted to the special interests who got them there...campaign finance reform, an altered voting system for congress that allowed more 3rd party participation might help get more voices in there.

To be perfectly honest, I pick up copies of City Pages because they are free.  I use those copies to start the wood furnace but not I am not using them for food.  You can really only find copies of this shitshow publication if you are in the direct Minneapolis area where this is about the only free thing you will find there.  Actually paying for a newspaper just to start a fire is a pain in the ass.  Newsprint is dead so who is paying for it?  Yes, we know how this game works, we are paying for it

I will give credit where credit is due, if credit is due and for the last couple of years, the latest writers they have been coming up are not worth anything at all and half of the time they don't have any writers at all.  All right, the Left Wing Rag known as the Star Tribune owns City Pages and sold their rights(no one believe 100 million) and so we have a new writer on the free distribution daughter newspaper AKA City Pages.

It starts out easy enough but the more you read the more you are being played.  I just love the squirrel bullshit bit.  People will read that shit and believe it happened.  I may just need to start taking all of the copies of and burning them.  Well, whatever, the bullshit is worth reading because she(or he) is a good bullshit writer.  Do you where Lyn-Lake is?  That was a good one too.  Yeah, that is Lyndale and Lake street and you do not want to even be there at 8 A.M..

All I am doing is calling bullshit here on:

Tough to be President during a Depression. And with a worldwide religious war going on.

The next guy or gal up is going to have a rough time too.

I don't know about you all but I get tingly when the heavy hitter ZHer's go all right hand column one the first page, you know? You're not going to read their eye-bleeding shit but it sure is impressive.
