What Your "Startlingly Intimate, Voyeristic" NSA File Looks Like
A few days ago, we asked a simple rhetorical question: "Are you targeted by the NSA?"
The answer, sadly for those reading this, is very likely yes, as it was revealed that as part of the NSA's XKeyscore program "a computer network exploitation system, as described in an NSA presentation, devoted to gathering nearly everything a user does on the internet" all it takes for a user to be flagged by America's superspooks is to go to a website the NSA finds less than "patriotic" and that user becomes a fixture for the NSA's tracking algos.
So assuming one is being tracked by the NSA - or as it is also known for politically correct reasons "intercepted" - as a "person of interest" or worse, just what kind of data does the NSA collect? The latest report by the WaPo titled "In NSA-intercepted data, those not targeted far outnumber the foreigners who are" sheds much needed light on just how extensive the NSA's data collection effort is.
According to WaPo, the files on intercepted Americans "have a startlingly intimate, even voyeuristic quality. They tell stories of love and heartbreak, illicit sexual liaisons, mental-health crises, political and religious conversions, financial anxieties and disappointed hopes. The daily lives of more than 10,000 account holders who were not targeted are catalogued and recorded nevertheless."
The Post reviewed roughly 160,000 intercepted e-mail and instant-message conversations, some of them hundreds of pages long, and 7,900 documents taken from more than 11,000 online accounts.
Remember when the NSA said they only target foreigners, and only those who are of particular actionable interest? They lied.
Nine of 10 account holders found in a large cache of intercepted conversations, which former NSA contractor Edward Snowden provided in full to The Post, were not the intended surveillance targets but were caught in a net the agency had cast for somebody else.
Many of them were Americans. Nearly half of the surveillance files, a strikingly high proportion, contained names, e-mail addresses or other details that the NSA marked as belonging to U.S. citizens or residents. NSA analysts masked, or “minimized,” more than 65,000 such references to protect Americans’ privacy, but The Post found nearly 900 additional e-mail addresses, unmasked in the files, that could be strongly linked to U.S. citizens or U.S.residents.
Going back to "your" file:
Taken together, the files offer an unprecedented vantage point on the changes wrought by Section 702 of the FISA amendments, which enabled the NSA to make freer use of methods that for 30 years had required probable cause and a warrant from a judge. One program, code-named PRISM, extracts content stored in user accounts at Yahoo, Microsoft, Facebook, Google and five other leading Internet companies. Another, known inside the NSA as Upstream, intercepts data on the move as it crosses the U.S. junctions of global voice and data networks.
It gets worse, because that bed-wetting habit you kicked in the 2nd grade? The NSA knows all about it.
Among the latter are medical records sent from one family member to another, résumés from job hunters and academic transcripts of schoolchildren. In one photo, a young girl in religious dress beams at a camera outside a mosque.
Scores of pictures show infants and toddlers in bathtubs, on swings, sprawled on their backs and kissed by their mothers. In some photos, men show off their physiques. In others, women model lingerie, leaning suggestively into a webcam or striking risque poses in shorts and bikini tops.
How many Americans may be tracked by the NSA at any one time? Turns out ther answer is lots:
The Obama administration declines to discuss the scale of incidental collection. The NSA, backed by Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr., has asserted that it is unable to make any estimate, even in classified form, of the number of Americans swept in. It is not obvious why the NSA could not offer at least a partial count, given that its analysts routinely pick out “U.S. persons” and mask their identities, in most cases, before distributing intelligence reports.
If Snowden’s sample is representative, the population under scrutiny in the PRISM and Upstream programs is far larger than the government has suggested. In a June 26 “transparency report,” the Office of the Director of National Intelligence disclosed that 89,138 people were targets of last year’s collection under FISA Section 702. At the 9-to-1 ratio of incidental collection in Snowden’s sample, the office’s figure would correspond to nearly 900,000 accounts, targeted or not, under surveillance.
And tangentially, for those who are urging the NSA to release Lois Lerner's emails, all it would take are a few keystrokes:
“If I had wanted to pull a copy of a judge’s or a senator’s e-mail, all I had to do was enter that selector into XKEYSCORE,” one of the NSA’s main query systems, [Edward Snowden] said.
What the file would likely reveal is all the dirt the US intelligence apparatus had on said (Supreme Court) judge or senator, or IRS employee. After all, what better way to keep the system of "checks and balances" in check than to have dirt on all the key places of leverage.
The WaPo has released a sterilized example of what a "target package" looks like for any given individual.
All of the above would be stunning... if it wasn't for a culture in which FaceBook has made the exhibitionist stripping of one's privacy and disclosure of every last piece of "intimate" personal information a daily chore. It is in this world, sadly, where the most recent confirmation of just how expansive Big Brother is, will merely be granted with a yawn by the vast majority of the population.
Finally, here's a thought for the cash-strapped US government: when the Fed is no longer able to monetize the US deficit, the NSA can just hire Goldman to IPO the NSA "social network." It should raise at least a few hundred billion in cash.

Ask Joan Rivers, she got it right...
I read what she said, i.e. Michelle is a tranny and BHO is a 'mo. Surprised that got to go out in prime time. Or perhaps someone else is sending msgs to the Step-n-fetchit-in-Command...
Come to think of it, has anyone seen her recently? Funny how you can brand someone an idiot and they surprise you. I suppose a pod person version of her will be trotted out to apologize.
Miffed;-)
Joan got disappeared. It is pretty obvious Obomba kicks with the other foot but I just thought Michelle was hideous inside and out but being a tranny works.
Michelle is Michael...

Of course this is a planned release to distract the public from the chaos which is about to erupt in the Financial World. Nothing happens by accident, folks.
Many here have known this for years. Bathhouse Barry has been a joke on this site for years.
So just what are they planning to do while using this as a distraction?
This is the dumbest fucking thing I have ever seen. I'm a firm believer of what many call "conspiracy theories", but this... this is stupid.
Go down to your local WalMart and tell me if you can distinguish the genders of various creatures around there.
Instead of being a fucking ignoramus you may want to be educated as to discern.
This video was published by a Law Enforcement Agent who served in the "Sex Change Capital" of the United States.

How fucking easy is it to look at hands? Then how easy is it to look for Adam's Apples?
Why? Who's fucking agenda does this serve? Some women aren't nearly as pretty as others. So the fuck what?
I had to look that up,had to, was wondering where all the comments about transgender and gayness were coming from in regards 0.
From wikipedia for those care to know...
"In July 2014, Rivers was asked by a reporter, “Do you think the United States will see the first gay president or the first woman president?” She replied, "We already have it with Obama, so let’s just calm down.” She further added, “You know Michelle is a tranny.” The cameraman responded, “I’m sorry, she’s a what?” “A transgender. We all know,” Rivers said before walking away."
Remember the end of Wag the Dog?
She probably thinks Obama is "anti-Israel" because he didn't invade Iran or Syria like AIPAC wanted.
Nice the way she employs PC-ju-jitsu against the PC crowd. "Obama is america's first gay President - you got a problem with that?"
Nothing you'd want to see if you've eaten recently.
No offense to ZH and the Tylers, but the internet ruined everything. Sorry if that's not a popular comment, but the Internet, in general, has all the charm of a bus depot and none of the privacy or anonymity.
I don't even have to do much on the internet to be thoroughly spied upon and have a dossier built about me in some NAS database. Plug in, they know everything you do, probably down to the keystroke. Don't plug in at all and they'll still get it from your friends and relatives talking about you on their computers.
Anyone surprised it came out of the DOD?
"Don't plug in at all and they'll still get it from your friends and relatives talking about you on their computers."
Precisely.
Ironic huh? The very same media that allowed all of us to get so much of a better glimpse of the corruption? Understand what globalization really means? (engage here at ZH).
Unintended consequences? Or not?
The proverbial jury is still out on this I think.
More like "the jury isn't invited." I think the last protections fought for by Americans have now been swept away (jury trial, right to confront your accuser.) is the Supreme Court even bothering with the "merits of the executions" anymore? Or as with Chief Justice Taney "have all these decisions been decided in advance"?
The silence on these matters is truly deafening.
"My brain's been splattered.
Splattered all over
Manhattan."
Yeah, regarding things legal - the Judical side of the equation has been nuetered. The conviction rate of the US government is higher than Hitler. No better sign of a true totalitarian state than this. Now, you are guilty until proven innocent. And, there are clearly different laws for those in power (and those who enforce the status quo) than there are for the rest of us. We are a just one big event away from a Hunger Games world.
There can be no justice when all the judge probably have a file open at some NSA database ready to blackmail them.
Information = power (to blackmail)
"
Unintended consequences? Or not?
The proverbial jury is still out on this I think."
Hard to predict how this will play out. A division of mankind into two psychotypes? Those who have surrendered their privacy and the rest?
Think about the most spied-on of all: the NSA staff and contractors themselves. Snowden's own NSA dossier? Maybe that is what woke him up.
How many more will follow him? The great separation and the Great Classification are upon us.
Humanity will adjust.
Yeah, but free porn....
And a free 20 year history of your watching habits, everything kinky you checked out or even clicked on by mistake, all your live chats with potty-mouth working girls, plus screen shots or even live vid of your face as you watched it. That image of preteen girls you clicked on because you couldn't believe you were seeing it? All just waiting for when they want something from you - or want to take you down.
Waddabargan!
I was lucky enough to hit puberty with explosion of the internet, webcrawler was a teenager's best friend. kinda fucked up it takes the NSA 20yrs ito know I dig asian ass porn.
Not so free porn WW
'No offense to ZH and the Tylers, but the internet ruined everything.'
It ruined the rapid acceleration of utopia expansion. I personally find the internet helpful. That's why you hear about free internet, this is the only way they'll be able to control content. /winks.
NoDebt, don't let your paranoia get the best of you. Every detail, down to the keystroke, on 313 million Americans (plus some gazillion foreigners), is probably way more information than anyone can make any sound use of.
This indiscriminate mass surveillance colossal mess is only a measure of how sick this country has become.
Theoretically it's possible, but practically it's petabytes upon petabytes of data which is certainly hard to process at any meaningful level. What I think though, the mass surveilance is a tool which allows to gather massive sets of data on a potentially unlimited number of people and then used quite selectively to beat the luckiest ones into submission. If you ever try and fly above the radar, be critical or or in any way piss off the authorities, you will quickly find the extent to which your privacy was non-existent. In the meantime, we all surf the web with certain illusion of privacy or at least wishfully thinking we are not the targets.
Ask not for whom the bell tolls.
Yeah, I keep hoping the NSA is basically just Seagate's main shareholder. It's not our fault we ddn't foresee the Boston bombings, we just don't have the funds to record everything! We need more storage!
They're not analysing it at all! Just recording it so the have an excuse to keep buying more hard drives.
I bet you spend a lot of time yelling at kids to get off your lawn.
Every weaponized technology or instrument of mass population control in history has eventually been used effectively against its creator. The Internet and digital communications will be (probably by now is) no different. As a matter of fact, the more the creator and promoter of a weaponized or population control surveillance technology believed and relied upon in it, the more effective and quicker their fall and destruction. Digital communications interception, signals intelligence and data analytics all have known "achilles heels". The Internet will prove no different when it becomes the weapon used against it.
DOD knows that there is no known successful win by an organized military force or government against an insurgency in human history. It may sometimes take time, but the end result has always proven the same. They know that despite all their technology they have already lost in Iraq and Afghanistan because they changed their focus from winning a war to trying to change a people and their history. The formation of the United States was in itself a successful insurgency. If there was any exceptionalism to America, it was that its people were bred as insurgents and that the Republic was designed to promote, not put down rebellion as TPTB are trying to do today. They will fail, as sure as God made little green apples.
This is part of the natural ebb and flow of history. The Catholic Popes faced and lost to Martin Luther and the printing press, Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette met Napoleon and his novel recruiting and military tactice and technology, the monarchies of Europe met and lost to Lenin's innovative political technology and the cheap handgun weapons technology in the hands of a commoner Gavrilo Princip. The list goes on as history progresses and the follies of one powerful group morph into another because this is part of the human psyche. One day whistorians will look back at the Internet and its associated technologies will find them added to the eternally growing list of technologies that where one party of those on top thought made them invicible yet unknowingly made them vulnerable and ready for change.
Technologies used for human control and subjugation always fall when faced by a united human spirit seeking freedom and the common good.
I hope/wish you are right. One thing that scares me is that this last century, as technology has progressed, so have the tools for 'control and subjugation' right in step. I fear you are technically correct on the societal level, but being right on a societal level still leaves an opening for 100's of millions of us to have a forced poor quality of life and/or premature death. The 10's of millions lost in China's bureaucratic induced 'great famine' pops to mind.
but the internet ruined everything
We'll not really.
Now millions of men can fondle themselves at home in the blue glow of a computer screen rather than brave the sticky seats of a seedy theater.
See? Silver lining.
Death In June - Tick Tock w/lyrics
Tick tock tick tock.
Who builds a social networking site without a "Like" button? Those NSA guys don't know nothin'.
The NSA cheaped out and pulled their developers from the bottom of the Myspace and Friendster bargain bins.
Don’t forget, Craigslist and Backpage wanted employment ads. Some of these coders may even offer a happy ending too gain the job position.

"all it takes for a user to be flagged by America's superspooks is to go to a website the NSA finds less than "patriotic" and that user becomes a fixture for the NSA's tracking algos"
Is there even one web site that would fit NSA's definition of patriotic?
Like this one?
Go here and make a comment saying that you support the Russian Agression Prevention Act of 2014. /barf
(tell them that the spread of Communism must be stopped. They will think you're retarded and might leave you alone).
The NSA isn't isn't omniscient. The English version of Minimanual do Guerrilheiro Urbano really is a classic of insurgency literature that everyone should be read. So how does the NSA separate the terrorists who hang out out on the official USMC website from the terrorists who hang out on marxists.org? or from the bookworm wanna-be terrorists on archive.org?
Pick your favorite NSA "terrorist" data bucket and dive right in (the book is short and to the point):
http://www.mccdc.marines.mil/Portals/172/Docs/SWCIWID/COIN/Insurgent%252...(1969).pdf
http://www.marxists.org/archive/marighella-carlos/1969/06/minimanual-urb...
https://archive.org/details/Mini-manualOfTheUrbanGuerrilla
Being a smart ass, not only did I not switch browser sessions and vpns, but I navigated directly from mccdc.marines.mil to marxists.org so as to shit in their weblogs. The NSA simply cannot analyze its entire dataset in any meaningful way, and as much they may be able to string together "evidence" of an assumption about an individual, they can just as easily, if not with even less effort, fabricate "evidence" of an assumption about an individual. When the realistic method of restoring integrity to the judiciary is for mass jury nullification, the status quo is unsustainable.

Are you using microsoft or apple to run firefox?
Are you using your ISPs DNS or have have configured specific DNS servers?
I can get an ssl connection (128bit certificate id 04:5B:3F:4D:2B:9C:C3) with Firefox, Chromium, Opera, Rekonq, Qupzilla, Midori, Dooble, and even Links text browser running on Linux.
It was just interesting coincidences. I have never seen the exception to certificate page before. Why would I be paranoid?
Anyway, the Marxists were happy to share the manual.
The USMC nerd brigade is apparently picky in its web scripting about its referring pages. Try either of these (sorry about that):

But hey ! Look!
We all get to be Stars in our own Reality TV Show!
Big Brother told me so.
Imagine the outcry of "slutshaming" when facesearch becomes a regular feature on GOOGLE and you can find all the webcam vids of anybody who ever posed for those camsites.
They'll want their fucking privacy then, won't they?
Zerohedge is " less than patriotic?"
No ! Say it ain't so.
I will bet that young Winston Smiths over at NSA fight over the right to read ZH, and get paid by the .gov to do it.
You're thinking of the SEC.
You have to wonder if the agencies have spies embedded in the other agencies. I think NSA is fully compromised by Israel... front and back ends.... CIA and Mossad seem to have worked together on 9/11, and, there's at least a chance, going back to the Kennedy Assasination... which Bush senior likely knows a little something about... would explain in a way the massive presence of Zionist Jews in the Bush admin, although Clinton also had a lot [but that may have been largely ordinary political corruption representing Jewish campaign donations, over 50% for both parties, anyway]...
Generally left out of the tinfoil spitballing is the role of the Joint Chiefs... how hard would it be to blackmail or otherwise cajole those fellas.
I think the Joint Chiefs were integral to pulling 9/11 off. apart from the buildings, the mock exercise, mistakes, and radar glitches are at least as interesting as how many flight recorders were never found in a case where we knew where to look....
On the other hand - if the power behind the proverbial throne changes... I'm not sure if really affects me. What do I particularly care if its WASPs or Jews or Freemasons or Lizard People calling the shots. I think the corrupting influence of absurd wealth and political power and being above the law means political and banking consolidation, and no one with that kind of power gives a shit about "the people" which is why less government is generally the way to go.
Slightly encouraging for about 20 seconds to see people protesting the buses carrying Obama's migrant kids pawns. Naturally, moments later, I'm directed to an NBC news article about how in some places, the children are met with kindness, "not hate."
Oh, won't anyone think of the children? The one day to be drafted to fight for Israel and/or private central banks and/or gas pilelines... children??
Holy Allah. Use snail mail and Maxcoin.
Get ready for electoral campaigns where leading contenders suddenly decide to drop out "to spend more time with their families," after a chat with the NSA. Whistleblowers will recant. Reformers will go silent and take up other hobbies. Investigators of government corruption will decide that there's nothing to see here after all. What's Eliot Spitzer up to these days? For the delusional paranoids at the NSA, it's all about controlling you, not protecting you. (But you knew that.)
Did you ever wonder HOW Feinstein keeps getting elected???
Using, dead voter ballot base. Ever wonder why voter ID requirement is always shutdown?
I would prefer to think that the NSA cheats and fakes her election results, but then I think of California voters and realize that they always vote her back in because they like her.
IMO, where we are today has been wargamed for decades. This place we are in was seen coming in one form or another. The inevitable that we see is what they see (and better). Plans, protocols, etc. were likely put into motion long ago.
In order for us to have a really good idea about what the inward facing apparatus is all about we would have to know what the end game looks like to them.
I really can't imagine it is just a massive machine to shake down wealth to keep the status quo going. Shit, the IRS can do that. Rather, the IRS is under fire. Washington in general is mirror of the purposeful instability of the middle east. At some point makes one wonder if it is purposeful as well. Shit, the "apparent" rising incompetence of the Presidency is just too damn "in your face."
One thing that makes me really think is that the NSA no doubt has shit on all the politicians, bankers, etc. All of them. So, who is really calling the shots?
Now you are starting to ask the right questions.
They spooked Ross Perot back when the internet was a baby. Imagine what they can do now. The truth doesn't matter. If you don't have a closet full of skeletons, they will invent some on your behalf.
Anonymous needs to hack the database and release all the info of the public officials who did not vote against NSA spying.
An employee list of the NSA would be far more practical, and as much as they might attempt to silo and shield the official repository, the more data the NSA gathers, the more ways there are to reconstruct the dataset, using their own weapons against them.
Dump the payroll. Shameless unaccountability of retards hiding behind "intelligence" exposed.
Expect a civic "comin' to Jesus," thereafter.
"Remember when the NSA said they only target foreigners, and only those who are of particular actionable interest? They lied"
How big is the Bluffdale facility? HUGE. It exists to suck in anything and everything. It isn't simply about terrorists. As Bill Binney stated, the U.S. is now a turn key totalitarian state.
"all it takes for a user to be flagged by America's superspooks is to go to a website the NSA finds less than "patriotic" and that user becomes a fixture for the NSA's tracking algos."
Is ZH considered less than patriotic? The sexting craze never registered with me before but I think I might start sending some pictures of my nutsack and my hoop after eating Indian to myself so that the NSA perverts can get a good look at it.
Everyone on ZH send a selfie "moon shot" to the NSA at the same time. Kind of like the old high school prank of flushing all the hotel toilets at the same time.
I wonder how many assholes the NSA database can store at one time.
All of them!!!
DaddyO
I guess they know that I would give terrorist obamas White House back door access code for dita Von teese phone #. I heard her standards are low enough.
Bullshit. They collect everything they can and screw everyone over. Think they did not treat the TP as hostiles? We got the full court press so fast it was not funny. While we were trying to network something together. They had the IRS all up in our business. The thing is when they use it to subvert the election process it takes away any lagitimacy of the government itself.
Patriotic my ass. These fucks are about as far from an American patriot as one can be. Yet they are the sole arbiter of what is concidered patroitic. FFS!
Accountability. Maybe when every honest person starts wearing bandanas and dark sunglasses whenever in public?
Or would burkas be more PC?
Didn't think of that; Diversity = Good, but Burkas = Bad.
Something is inconsistent with the PC meme rammed down out throats, yet its consistent with the explosion of facial recognition technology in street cameras etc in many countries i.e. wearing a burka makes it harder to be scanned and identified on a street or in a crowd.
I’ll bet if you find the original JPG/PDF (above), they fucked up the layering process again. You will be able to see the information behind the blacked out chunks. Think Obama birth certificate.
Just a hunch..
Find your "representation"
Vote them the hell out before the next last-minute, midnight-hour extension of treason.
I'm not sure that makes any difference anymore. You get like 2 choices (bad and worse) and only the rich and powerful need apply. With the technology possible today, who says an election can't be rigged anyways?
I'm convinced that Congress can be rolled if enough Americans with a spine run with one plank - unplug the NSA, bar every employee/contractor past and present from ever working for uncle Fascist again.
Throw the bums out.
This is the catch. Because the NSA is a secret organization how would we ever know if the program were actually terminated? Defunding it or even passing a law making such espionage illegal would only drive them further underground. Nope, the cat is out of the bag, the horse is out of the barn. This is never going away. In fact, it will only get bigger even if they say it will not.
The Post certainly went out of their way to put lipstick and makeup on this pig.
Propaganda trumps journalism once again.
Non-criminal governments do not spy.
From the article:
"“Even if one could conceivably justify the initial, inadvertent interception of baby pictures and love letters of innocent bystanders,” he added, “their continued storage in government databases is both troubling and dangerous. Who knows how that information will be used in the future?”"
So 50 years from now, when Johnny Jr is appying for a job, they (probably any corporation/gov agency) can bring up dad's and grandpa's browsing history, comments made on various forums, purchases, etc etc...everything from love of midget porn to anti government comments..the internet/cellphone are huge vacuums of information, stored forever (possibly now/probably soon) and will be easily searchable (if they aren't already). Probably not a good thing.
In the radically fascist style this country seems to be following I can see the argument developing that businesses and government can and should only hire those whose internet record is politically unblemished. Then the rest of us will be blamed for our failure to toe the politically correct line - the hell with the First Amendment.
But do they know how big my penis is?
most probably and not only that!!!
No, but they'll make sure we know how big theirs is.
Since they have thousands of hours of video footage obtained thru your web cam, only you can answer that.
I used to feel like a paranoid tinfoil hatter when I taped over the laptop cam a few years ago. Not anymore.
people who do that probably go straight on the terrorist list
The face facing one on my laptop and the one on my cellphone are each taped over.
Keep putting it on my wife's as well, and she keeps saying it looks annoying.
But I keep on putting it back!
Syn I dont know why I'm laughing but if their cassette deck
is a CD120 they wont be getting a money shot.
Here's what Google knows about you:
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?sig=ACi0TCj7MoYxdzfpHTgGAUT2R...
i'll bet the man with the little hands has an awesome collection of pud whacking material
It is not just the NSA --- private business also has a butt load of information.
A few month ago I had my credit card number stolen - in the process to get it resolved and get a new card - I was asked a series of questions (over the phone) that were designed to verify my identity.
They ask me 4 multiple guess questions -
1. Which of these addresses have you lived at? They listed my address from 1983 as one response.
2. Which vehicle have you owned? They listed 4 - one was a Yamaha and I said - none - then remembered I did have a Yamaha - I sold it 10 years ago - almost forget I ever had it - but they knew.
Since I got it wrong they followed up with
3. Which vehicle have you owned? They used a 2006 Acura that we sold in 2008.
4. Past employer - A company I worked for in 1989.
5. Which school did I attend? They had the college I graduated from in 1980.
The thing that surprised me a little is they had information about me that went back so far - I mean when I graduated in 1980 IBM didn't even sell a PC yet. My computer classes we used punched cards.
BTW - hey NSA - FUCK YOU.
I've had that happen too. I wonder how much information they can get from your credit report? Not the one we see, but the one the credit agencies compile for themselves and for other corporations. I also wonder about medical information. If they can get prescription records (and you know they can) they can tell if you have diabetes, depression or chronic sinus problems.
Ok General Keith Alexander, and all of you stupid fucks who obey his commands:
Get. A. Life.
I hope you enjoy looking at the intimate details of my life, losers, because this is what a real, honest person looks like. Enjoy reading about me, while I live for real.
Keith has gotten a new life -- he is moving on to an ultra-lucrative position in the "private consulting" sector of DC syncophants. The new Peeping Tom is Admiral Rogers.
Fuck 'em all.
I know I am targeted for sure. I actually feel good knowing the Neocons and Israeli's who run Washington can keep track of all I do and think and say. This makes our bankers and Israeli dual citizens safe from my thought crimes.
Americans allow their government to do things the USSR did not or could not do. Once government decides a threat to them exists, they have all the names and all the thought crimes on file to make your trial short and sweet.
Who needs to know all this about every American? I thought that over. Why do they need to know your every thought?
First of all, corporate America has taken over government and they are allied with the people we call neocons, these folks we often call war mongers and imperialists. Then there is the power behind much of what happens in the ruling circles. This brings Israeli and AIPAC into the picture. SInce NSA sends all information direct to Israel, does this raise any questions with you as to who rules in Washington? We also have a defense department that went for defending America in time of war, to a self centered jobs program for millions, and giant profit center for certain corporations. They want to keep their party going full blast, with money and big pensions for all. Just visit military retiement areas like Florida, and the Carolinas. You will see that we pay our warriors well in retirement and they are pretty young guys too.
NSA must take orders and serve certain masters. This is my guess who demands to know everything about you and what you think and are you a threat to present day Government and it's self interested parties.
1. Corporate America, including banks and other financial and market makers. I include the neo-liberal school of economists in this group. Also the corporate profiteers from military spending.
2. People we call neocons, the modern day imperialists, war mongers and exceptionalists. Those who feel a god given right to invade or bomb people's at will. These include AIPAC.
3. Israel, their power over America is beyond dispute and their control of media, finance and politicians is factual beyond argument.
4. The military industrial spy complex. They profit so much and find such high paying jobs and benefits by the millions. A veritable army of highly paid spys and police state enforcers.
I assume these groups speak to each other at the government level and congress is controlled 100% by these elements. Thus our elected representatives vote to pull a total complete and criminal net of total spying networks over the people. WE, are all considered threats, especially the voting public. We might take it into our heads someday to vote wrong. They consider workers and savers and believers in the US constitution to be terrorists of the worst sort. Worse than A-Qaeda. They claim to be THE patriots. When in fact they serve a small rich elite and their army of highly paid government servants.
To be blunt, we are fucked, they will kill before they give up a shred of wealth and power. Just watch CNN and see how their minds work.
My father and I had a great argument over the 4th of whose file with the government is thicker. His, with over years working at such places as Bendix, Westinghouse, GE, NSA and DOT, or mine, being incarcerated by the same government. I held the trump card with them having my DNA, but it felt good that we both ended up feeling the same way about our government in the long run and hold our respective files up in a sense of pride. The less power we give these criminal organization to instill fear in our fellow man the less likely our fellow man will become the scared snitches the stasi apparatus needs to survive.

Greenwald did some good stuff, but I think Snowden is a head fake because while I don't expect a paper trail leads to the architects of 9/11, it may be that Snowden is most of all to assure us 9/11 happened like they said.

99.999% of us are in no position to fill in all the details, but it is amazing to me basic physics is so poorly understood that even very intelligent people believe 3 building collapsed in their footprint near freefall because of 2 planes and jet fuel....
My god, how hot do people think jet fuel burns? How much do they think was left after that impact? Do they have any idea the sheer size of the core columns and the volume of the building? How do you have Mossad agents arrested on and before 9/11, some filming the thing and celebrating, and Silverstein's ties to Israel, and so on and so forth...Fox does an expose, and the ADL gets them to yank it because it might "feed antisemitism"
But as to 911 I expect that Saudi Arabia will start getting blame. The 'evidence' is likely already manufactured. It will be easy to sell for a public in which Muslims and Arabs are ceaselessly villified, and many major newspapers and news-stations [let alone all the major movie studios] really are owned and/or managed by pro-Israel Jews. And - I'm sorry,I don't mean to offend anyone with that, but these seem to be the facts, and they go to bias against any group deemed in opposition to Israel's occupation and expansion.
So is google/youtube, so is facebook, so is wikipedia... name a MSM that covers Palestine from the Palestinian perspective, or hasn't latched on to the Putin-is-Hitler stuff. The amount of media coordination is impressive. The fact no one seems to notice - more so.
Why I believe it is hopeless is that the neocons who lied us into Iraq were overwhelmingly right wing Jews, many with ties to Likud, or NuttyYahoo, and/or Israeli citizenship. Perle was investigated for spying, for fuck's sake, and still ended up in the Bush admin.
Not only would no one say in the MSM that the neocons are Israel Firster Jews who want to use the US as sword and shield and bank for Israel.... they're doing the same thing, the same playbook in Iran.
http://original.antiwar.com/giraldi/2014/03/31/targeting-iran-2/
And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. Leave me alone, don't call me an anti-semite, and I don't care how many brown children you burn, or how many 20 year old Marines lose their legs.

Hey Jack
They control the electronic voting also. That my friend, is a fact.
Excellent post, Jack. This Leviathan government is a cancer on our land…exercising every crime imaginable to stop the threats to its continued growth and dominance. Your post suggests to me the two most effective categories that our enemy government exercises:
…surveillance of its citizens and an almost complete control of their financial resources.
As partners, NSA and the Federal Reserve can make or break at will any individual, any corporation. Damaging information is only a keystroke; financial ruin or millions of dollars in support are only a keystroke.
Our chances to fight this enemy, however, are strengthened by a growing body of Americans who will not accept surrender in any form. And the widespread failure of the government system the elites have been using: Welfare Socialism.
The aggressiveness from government just in the last few weeks has been phenomenal. But there’s more to the story – the response.
Case in point: The number of firearms purchases grew to the point in April that the ATF registration system went haywire.
“National Firearms Act-covered weapons, which include silencers, short-barreled shotguns, short-barreled rifles and some explosive devices, have gone up by more than 380% since 2005, according to a memo by AFT Deputy Assistant Director Marvin Richardson. According to AFT records, over half a million machine guns are registered in the country, over half a million silencers, and 2.2 million ‘destructive devices’: grenades and other explosives.” – The Nationalist Times, June 2014
I would be dissappointed if you weren't on some list Jack. You are one of the best writers on ZH. I am certian I am on some lists too. To me that is a badge of honor because that means that they are scared of us and they should be scared. I have to pull one more transaction off, it is it a big one, and it is like they know this. I know exactly what I am going to do to these fuckers and it is not what anyone would think on the surface. I have divested myself of almost anything that the .gov can get get their hands on by freezing digital accounts. That is what really terrifies these morons. I know that they have their eye on me because there is this last deal and it's a long story.
How many guns do I own? How much ammo do I have? How much gold do I have? How much silver do I have? That is really what those retards are concerned about. I do not even know!LOL!!! I am pretty good at accounting but I stopped in inventory on my actual physical savings in 2008. No one really knows what I have or where it is.LOL The last gun I bought a month ago I paid for in silver bullion and never a piece of paper anywhere. It's not like I needed another gun but I suffer from CRS.(Can't Remember Shit) I don't even recall who I bought it from. What the fuck? Honestly, I don't even know where I put the gun. It is somewhere around here though. I know approximately what I have and think that the NSA and .govs had best back off.
The .govs of the world do not need to worry about what I have or where it is. Let's fix the roads and the bridges please. Is that request such a hard to thing to understand? Do not worry about my guns and my gold and my silver. Get the fuck off facefuck and get your McDonald's fat asses to work. And don't worry about me smoking my own hand rolled cigs. My 40 year old ass can still outwork an average 20 year old American male.
I would be ashamed if I was not on the list. As a man and father of two.
But they cannot spot sarcasm. Sarcasm is the free world's strongest weapon!
Most Americans cant spot sarcasm thats why you have to tag it,
they struggle with irony too, as for infamy ! They got it infamy !
Phuk U
I wonder if visiting ZeroHedge would get one on the short list?
This adds a whole new meaning to "Big Brother". Disturbing stuff.
Not to mention filthy old "Uncle" Sam, eyeing toddlers with bad intent.
Reading my file would be demoralizing to the state's minions, disemenation is my objective, in the Old Soviet Union they didn't want the state minions reading subversive material, now its spoonfed to all agents.
State propaganda is expensive, time consuming, and easily refuted (facts and reality a are such a bitch), now they pay their minions to read it, I wish there was a way I could collect a license fee, I wonder if I could get Google adds inserted into my file?
State monitoring is a good thing, its a free opposition targeted distribution system, not targeted at state citizens but to state agents.
How much would you pay for a reader audience exclusively of state agents?
You couldn't buy that market if you wanted to.
Is that an Obamacare Login in the upper right corner?
Don't worry. Just produce enough material, on day they will choke in their files like the East German Stasi did.

When it comes down to it, I blame the NSA employees. Those middle class, 3rd estate peon workers living in Maryland or Utah. Forget the politicians and the power hungry freak generals. It's the little guy who knows what's going on and still continues to collect a paycheck. You're not real Americans. You're whores. You're why we had a revolution. And there's going to be a day when your neighbor doesn't wave hi to you in the morning. No one invites you to a dinner party. And your extended family refuses to speak to you. It's because you're a fucking freak.
Quite brillant post! The greedy employees who serve for money the cause of ending our freedoms. Should we not curse these fuckers?
Reminds me of a story from Paraguay a year-ish ago. Some corrupt politician was not going to be tried by some judiciary body so a few restaurants stuck signs up in their windows banning those judiciary members and their families form their premises. A few more shops followed and eventually the public ban resulted in some action.
Its a good job folk like me dont give a fuck.
I have no doubt that the NSA, GCHQ and such like know 'Exactly' who I am.
You know who I am bitchez, you know where I live, what I do, the works.
Come get some.
At the end of the day, there is so many of us, we get lost in the fog.
And NSA, GCHQ et al, go fuck yourselves. I hope you look back in anger when you become older and reflect what you 'Did' for a living. You despicable pieces of fucking dog shit.
Think about what your kids will think when you explain what you did for a living, and why.
Dirty fucking voyeur cunts.
;-)
Hey Mix, you know I have the goods if you ever need some. Yep, they can kiss our ass. They should have figured out that they taxed us to near death and that you can't get blood from a stone. Tax upon tax upon tax and a bunch of license fees and another tax. Jeebus Fucking Chrysler, how come we aren't making any money? Tax, tax, tax our ass. I know you have a small business too and I think you would like this poem somebody smarter than me wrote. You may have seen it before but it is worth posting as it runs across borders. I remember seeing this when I was a teenager so it has been around a while.
I can save a lot of time for the NSA in their effort to discover what pisses everyone off and it is very simple. Hey, NSA fucks, here's a fucking shovel and now go fix the fucking shitty roads and bridges and quit fucking around on facefuck trying to spy on people.
The Tax Poem

Tax his land, tax his wage,
Tax his bed in which he lays.
Tax his tractor, tax his mule,
Teach him taxes is the rule.
Tax his cow, tax his goat,
Tax his pants, tax his coat.
Tax his ties, tax his shirts,
Tax his work, tax his dirt.
Tax his chew, tax his smoke,
Teach him taxes are no joke.
Tax his car, tax his grass,
Tax the roads he must pass.
Tax his food, tax his drink,
Tax him if he tries to think.
Tax his sodas, tax his beers,
If he cries, tax his tears.
Tax his bills, tax his gas,
Tax his notes, tax his cash.
Tax him good and let him know
That after taxes, he has no dough.
If he hollers, tax him more,
Tax him until he’s good and sore.
Tax his coffin, tax his grave,
Tax the sod in which he lays.
Put these words upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me to my doom!"
And when he’s gone, we won’t relax,
We’ll still be after the inheritance tax.

Thanks for finding this, Manipuflation. It's a completely correct report on what is taxed. Sadly, the revenue raised has not been used to make the payer's life better, but has been put to work limiting his achievements and plundering his property.
Frederic Bastiat pointed out that few would be interested in clamoring for universal suffrage if they didn't need that suffrage to defend themselves from the votes of the plunderers in a government that has legalizied plunder, i.e., socialism, i.e., the ability to vote yourself somene else's wealth using "the will of the majority."
Said Bastiat: "If the law were confined to its proper functions (restricted to protecting all persons, all liberties, and all properties), everyone's interest in the law would be the same. Is it not clear that, under those circumstances, those who voted could not inconvenience those who did not vote?"
Asks Bastiat in The Law, "if the law were the obstacle, the check, the punisher of all oppression and plunder--is it likely that we citizens would then argue much about the extent of the franchise?
"But on the other hand," he writes, "imagine that this fatal principle has been introduced: Under the pretense of organization, regulation, protection, or encouragement, the law takes property from one person and gives it to another; the law takes the wealth of all and gives it to a few--whether farms, manufacturers, shipowners, artists, or comedians. Under these circumstances, then certainly every class will aspire to grasp the law, and logically so.
"The excluded classes will furiously demand their right to vote--and will overthrow society rather than not to obtain it."
JR, you are on the mark or near to it. I like your posts. I can't always be on Hedge but the only way I see to solve the conundrum is to have smaller goverment. We don't need large goverment. What about local goverement if we even need that at all? The problems is that the Feds get involved whith their "we are going to give some free money.". Bullshit! How about getting the fucking job done for once? You see this shit all over the place with people standing around leaning on shovels getting paid $100 an hour from us.
I can't stand to see that shit. It is not OK to stand around and not do anything and then we have to pay for that shit. I get so pissed off that I just go at it. Let's get the job done.
I think it unlikely they give a particular fuck who you are.
It's also unlikely that more than possible one or two paid trolls would bother with such a low traffic site.
CNN and NY Times are, on the other hand, sensible targets for paid propagandists, but I think most of all you have fat, lonely, teenage boys in Orange County and Tel Aviv and Chicago posting platitudes and inanities rather than being outside in the fresh air, or inside somewhere else, trying to fingerblast ol' Mary Jane Rottencrotch....
The real shills are the editors, who sit in nice meetings with agency case officers, and liasons from the Israeli consulate....
The major media act like a school of fish on stories - picking up the kidnapped israelis, dropping the bombings by Kiev in Eastern Ukraine, Fox sometimes playing the role of GOP opposition... The language is often similar...too similar... what is left out/missing often the same.
I've noticed that formerly reliable and "gonzo" outlets like The Young Turks and VICE are suddenly totally uncritical as to Ukraine.... it's the same Putin Bad, USA wants only democracy and freedom horseshit you get on CNN. Any alternative media outlet that gets above a certain level will be bought and controlled.
What do we have purpoertedly, 6 mega corps controlling about 90% of "the media" [however measured, that's the claim].
That's not that too many cats to herd...
They got one thing wrong.
The guy in the picture is Jesus Rodriquez who works at Taco Loco in Pacoima.
Well they sure as hell ain't collecting information about "terr'er."
the NSA is bullshit-- If a "bad guy wants you it's a walk up behind you and blow your head off---they don't need info or spy stuff---they just off you. And they don't care who you are or if you have "things"in your past--its just do as I say or fuck you your dead--think cops care about your face book page when they're having a bad day??? Its get out of the car and beat the shit out of you till you die--Think the Marines care about your face book page?? dummy--its "go up the hill and kill everyone" ---think the IRS gives a shit if you lie or steal ---its "pick out a few files and fuck'em and throw the rest in the trash cause it's friday afternoon.--If TPTB at any time in history wanted people to obey the system it's hey you -you -the tall guy --come here -kneel down --BLAM through the back of the head--and now everyone does what they are told--all this info shit is just shit----believe it-- and hedge accordingly.
I have to agree, if not so colorfully. This NSA stuff is just government cubicle-drones kidding themselves that they are fighting terrorism from the comfort of their air-conditioned offices. Thanks to the Internet, they can pretend that they are "gathering intelligence", without even getting up from their chair. It's mostly a way to play with high technology and bamboozle money out of a credulous congress. Kind of like NASA, in other words.
Look at a pie chart of the federal budget, and you'll see where these folks really stand. Europe shows us what the future will be - Europe has an economy that is similar in size to the USA, but they have no NSA and no nuclear aircraft carriers, or any of that other empire stuff. Why? Because their welfare state consumes every dime that can be squeezed from the market economy, and that is our future. When the NSA squares off against the FSA, the NSA will lose.
Tylers, where did my posting history get disappeared off to...........??
It's all being parsed under NSA profiling subjects. You better lie low on ZH. Black vans and city municipality will drone you.

Hey man, Jet-A melted the granite bedrock in the basement too.
There's a little hint for ya.
Well at least the steel, including the molten steel, was preserved as a crime scene, and sent to various labs for testing - after all, we need to learn all we can about the behavior of steel frame, redundant steel core buildings in a fire caused by jet fuel, so this doesn't ever happen again.
Pity about all the data that was lost in servers both at the WTC and Pentagon.... just our dumb luck... and more bad luck how the SEC lost so much data, and still more in that we couldn't find most of the "black boxes" {8} from the 4 crashes.
It's funny how there's one or two coincidences and all the tin foil hat wearing, tea party antisemite anti-government conspiracy types question the whole thing.
Has Louis Lerner asked for her emails yet?
Yeah, it's just meta-data...

Just a Point of Information here. Our WilliamBanzai7 has a beta test blog going. It might not be a bad idea to drop by and help him out. It seems pretty simple to post there. So if you like WB7's art work go over and check it out and offer your ideas because it is only a beta version but I do not think he needs a whole lot more mods. Probably categories would be a good idea but it is beta. You can hook up from the link below.

Most of the information they collect is useless. The problem is they can collect it, but then it has to be interpreted. And no computer program can do that, they can only pick up words, patterns, stuff like that.
You need a human being to actually put the data in context, and these people simply don't have the ability to do that. They DEPEND on the technology.
And they don't have the manpower needed either, this shit takes TIME. That's why they depend on the technology.
They have got to know that most of the important info slips right through their fingers. The sheer volume of material makes it certain that they will miss most. What they DO capture still has to be sorted, interpreted and put together before it can be acted on, and it is likely that most of those 'investigations' are a dead end.
I'm of the opinion that all this NSA crap is more of an attempt to police people through the FEAR of what they have, instead of their actually HAVING anything of value.
If people THINK you are all-powerful, than it doesn't actually matter if you are or not.

Exactly. Just because you have rooms full of every element on the periodic table, doesn't make you a scientist. Furthermore, no malefactor worth his salt is clicking his plans into cybersafe.
Here here!!
I've been trying to make this point for some time now. This isn't useful to power on a large scale other than the fear factor...but so many so don't seem to care these days...hence the "yawn" the author laments may actually be the best of signs.
The primary purpose of any federal agency, is to convince congress to increase their budget. Bullshit defenses to manufactured threats are fully effective for that purpose.
