More Powderkegs: Israel Prepares For Gaza Escalation, Boosts Troops On Gaza Border

Tyler Durden's picture

As the teen deaths, rocket launches (and landings), and rhetoric fly back back and forth; it appears last week's de-escalation is off...

The US administration has been oddly quiet so far on this... we await their 'supportive' comments.

Bloomberg reports,

As many as 1,500 reservists to be mobilized to reinforce infantry, paratroop units, military spokesman Lt.-Col. Peter Lerner says in phone interview.

“While last week the army talked about de-escalation, now we’re talking about preparation for possible escalation”

*  *  *

And then this:

So, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt (post gas subsidies), and now Israel - must be time to BTFATH in US stocks.

“We were against apartheid in South Africa before we were supportive of it in Israel.”

Arius's picture

US is pressuring on the case of the American palestinian who was beaten while protesting ... also, the Palestinian member of Knesset are gangin up on Netanyahu because of this incident.

it doesnt look like there is room for both people ....

Squid Viscous's picture

LOL @ the Palestinian "member" of the Knesset ganging up on Nutty-yahoo - priceless!

Hugh G Rection's picture

Yeah, everyone knows it's not the Likud Party that runs the show in Occupied Palestine <sarc off>

Funny how the Knesset is on Rothschild street. Hmmmm, who built it again? What are the first 3 words of the Balfour Decleration?

BLOTTO's picture

Yes, I believe this is the powder keg we are looking for.

This is the rub of it all - the area where they have been fighting for ages amongst all that rubble...something important lies there.

They want to one day (soon) construct and erect their 3rd temple mount where the throne for the ruler of the new order will sit...

How will Israel survive economically once the dollar folds?  They get huge benefits from free USA aid.  What good are nuclear weapons when your economy is shot and nobody wants to live there anymore???

Seize Mars's picture

Is that a trick question or something?

1. Nullufication of $3.1 billion U.S. taxpayer-stolen appropriation for Israel in the National Defense Authorization Act of 2014

2. Nullification of the extra $1.1 billion appropriation stolen from U.S. taxpayers for their missile defense

3. Declare further theft from U.S. taxpayers a felony with mandatory minimum sentencing of 10-years.

4. Reinstatement of the $4.2 billion of aid already paid out this year, but payable by the individual states proportional to the number of congessional votes for that aid from each of those states.

5. Felony for cancelling the 'loans' represented by much of that aid (it's always called a loan or financing, but always forgiven in whole)

Israel provokes them hoping for a revolt...Another excuse to roll tanks through Gaza, build more settlements in the occupied West Bank, and drop white phosphorous on civilians.

They burned that killed alive. This was an obvious ritual murder.  a child sacrafice.

Squid Viscous's picture

yes - burned alive, a nice homage to the holohoax "burned alive in the ovens" myth that we all believed as kids

Unfortunately many adults are still emotionally attached to the propaganda.

Hard to get people to watch a full length doc on something that challenges their dogma, so I put some of the most compelling evidence in a 6 minute video:

Once I started looking into the veracity of the Authorized Version of the Holocaust I was astounded at how such a brazen lie could have been successfully propagated and sustained for over half a century. In fairness seom of the most diligent debunkers have been Jews (e.g. David Cole).

Once upon the time there was an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years. One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. “Such bad luck,” they said sympathetically.

“Maybe,” the farmer replied.

The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it three other wild horses. “How wonderful,” the neighbors exclaimed.

“Maybe,” replied the old man.

The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune.

“Maybe,” answered the farmer.

The day after, military officials came to the village to draft young men into the army. Seeing that the son’s leg was broken, they passed him by. The neighbors congratulated the farmer on how well things had turned out.

“Maybe,” said the farmer.

I'm more of a...contractor by special request to resolve technical issues.  I enjoy the country side, volunteering if it's not to loopy and I also function as an interim project manager time to time if the full time PM needs a bit of a rest because of project complexity. Usually employed because of my tenacious nature, my ability to locate issues and remove them with a large army of technicians.  Large or small, I do it all.

The contract work is satisfying from project to project, keeps the mind limber and young.  My resume is extensive otherwise along with professional credentials and a high degree of troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience.  I have been a tinker, a tailor, a soldier and a sailor, but most of the time one can find me napping on a couch enjoying some herb just day dreaming.

Time to time though, I do pest removal as well by special request.  A Green Jack of trades as it were...

Dude - you need to do something productive with your life like day trading.  (sarc)

Used to, but I had some ethical dilemma’s after researching my position and talking with some older, much wiser traders than me.

Stalkedbyhackers01's picture

Can I hire you to find the hackers who have been stalking me since last August? It's gotten to the point where they are trying to ruin my life any way they can. I was even told I was hitlisted. Do you happen to know what that term means in the hacker community by any chance?

CPL's picture

Sorry man, don't have time for that.  That's PI work which eats a tonne of time that I need to focus on keeping current with some other things happening.

Right now getting prepped for another project, more specifically, I'm actually waiting for my primary client right now to figure out their funding and settle down because right now all they've got are a bunch of IOU's I can't use.  Whenever the client figures that out, then most of my time is going to be consumed by that until then study/meditation/bench time.

BTW The project I'm waiting for is a bit of a mess right now and it needs a bit of coyote medicine to correct.  Positive things about the project.  It's up to the eyeballs in smart, funny, hard working, talented people; so there's nothing wrong with the operational aspect.  That situation appears to take care of itself and improve every time I look.  It's up to date and there's new hire's every day.  Which is great.

However Project Chiefs have spent money on forward CapEx that isn't required, literally running on fumes, practically pissed off everyone on their management teams, ignored building maintenance and gone into these bizarre structured silo's that are just spinning in place going no where in terms of project development.

Worst yet, they've all got a overall mission statement that keeps moving around, and they are killing themselves over the vocabulary.  It's all such petty nonsense.  Seriously childish shit really, "Brenda's plant is in accounting again...Bob's got my stapler...the printer out of toner...I only eat the red me me me", wastes a shit load of time to be honest.  Then again, some people are happier bitching abut everything, free will and all that.

Any case...hope to move it around without stalling projects too much and get people working a bit better, maybe they find a job in the project they actually like to do.  Proper positioning is key to getting a project back on track, pink slips only given out for because they absolutely have to be.  Nothing worse than rotting in a shit hole job that doesn't offer something on the Maslow's hierarchy of needs, been there a couple of times myself.  So that favour is extended, easier burning down an art gallery than the artists.  Talent is placed because it takes a shit load of time to build another person for a skill.  Case by case situation to review, sometimes a job isn't a good fit.

Once sorted out then the 'company' can start to coordinate with external partners in much easier manner for future mutually beneficial partnerships.

It's a doozy to be sure but a bit of coordination and some luck here and there, it'll get back on track then I'm off for some napping on a couch with some herb to wait for the next project while doing operational support on a day to day.  Should be pretty cool when it's done and cleaned up.

I have about 535 give or take that need removal.

Can ya help?

Maybe...have to do analysis first and look at a big picture before committing to that.

Is That So?

The Zen master Hakuin was praised by his neighbors as one living a pure life.

A beautiful Japanese girl whose parents owned a food store lived near him. Suddenly, without any warning, her parents discovered she was with child.

This made her parents very angry. She would not confess who the man was, but after much harassment at last named Hakuin.

In great anger the parents went to the master. “Is that so?” was all he would say.

When the child was born, the parents brought it to the Hakuin, who now was viewed as a pariah by the whole village. They demanded that he take care of the child since it was his responsibility. “Is that so?” Hakuin said calmly as he accepted the child.

A year later the girl-mother could stand it no longer. She told her parents the truth – that the real father of the child was a young man who worked in the fishmarket.

The mother and father of the girl at once went to Hakuin to ask his forgiveness, to apologize at length, and to get the child back again.

Hakuin was willing. In yielding the child, all he said was: “Is that so?”

He did win a Nobel Peace Prize.

That should be enough for just about anyone.

XitSam's picture

So did Arafat, Peres and Rabin in 1994.

Update: The Nobel for Obama (2009) says "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples"

Cathartes Aura's picture

so did that ultimate warmonger, Henry Kissinger,

A recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize (shared with Le Duc Tho, who refused the prize), he served as National Security Advisor and later concurrently as Secretary of State in the administrations of Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.

pity, Snowden's Greenwald only got the Pulitzer. . .

so far.

All this goes to prove the Nobel prizes are a bunch of SHIT.  Maybe a few rare high profile scientific discoveries are for real.  But even the scientific discovery stuff, there are always competing teams and codiscoveries.  Who gets the nod for the prize is all controlled.
