"Waiting For Armageddon" - Say It Isn't So?

Tyler Durden's picture

Brent Johnson, of Santiago Capital, provides a brief but broad overview of the state of the state in the world's precious metals markets (and monetary policy implications). Often accused of "waiting for Armageddon", Johnson is quick to note that he would love to be wrong... "If I thought it possible to carry out the next 40 years the same as the last - by sticking to the status quo - I'd do it." But it's not... and no matter how many "say it isn't so" you hear from the mainstream, it is inevitable (when not if). Simply put, he warns, if you do have to have capital markets exposure - make sure you have insurance - you need it now more than ever.

By your silence and compliance you demonstrate consent.

Do you know what FRB district you reside in? Do you know who its officers are, and the other boards on which they crony? Do you know where they live? Do you know what "work" they pay their extended families our money to do?

I use to live in a beautiful place. Now, where we got along for decades without them, there are street lights and signs an average of every 6 feet. Everywhere. Looks just like fucking New Jersey. I would prefer the oxycontin loaded kids of Al Gore watch the road, but hey, that's just me. The New Jersey dividers on surface streets must be to prevent nonparticipants from getting out of the way of these hot raging road hog disciples of Ted Kennedy. Our resident Hell's Angels were far more polite. And gave back a helluva lot more to the community.

They're gone. Those war weary Angels are gone now. Instead you've got the mexican mafia running the rough trade, set up by DCI Bush, Danny Quayle and Ollie North's crew, Supported by every regime change since. You're on your own.

Miss me now, bitchez?

For about 5 years, on average every 200 yards the road has been torn up and replaced with an inferior, bumpy track. Roads that were widened to reduce gridlock now have... bicycle lanes replacing the lanes ceded to the State. These are mostly vacant because you have to be a complete fucking moron to regularly gasp car exhaust deep into your lungs during your healthy exercise. We also have completely seperate bicycle trails that were laid out 40 years ago. Before the wall to wall concrete was installed.

This is Paul Krugman's idea of economic growth, that Oblowme more honestly recently called "churn".

Forget Yellen. Go look up who your assemblymen awarded these contracts to, for the unneeded and unwanted street lights, street signs and bad roads. And the "studies" that incurred this civic vice.

Follow the monkey. Then do something about it. Or sit on your ass and bitch until you die. If you can call lapsing from a coma to a worm farm "a negative life experience". I bet you can, you whiny bitchez.

To that point, it is instructive to see the old dachas of the criminal elite of eastern europe, which in many of the former warsaw-pact nations were little more than garden shacks on the edge on little inland lakes. At some point the criminal elite realise they need to up their game to get the digs to which they are divinely entitled.

A major problem when shit hits the fan is what will happen to debt, this includes the money people owe you. A great deal of our economic system is about debt. It is important to remember not all debt is created equal. A mirage is a naturally occurring optical phenomenon in which light rays are bent to produce a displaced image of distant objects. Joining the idea of a mirage and contagion with the reality of collapsing debt forms an interesting subject.

It is important to remember all debts and obligations do not come due at the same time. Also, it must be noted when a bill is not paid or defaults it often starts a long and drawn out legal battle, this collection process that may extend years without harsh consequences. This my friends is the reality of modern life in America and much of the world. More on this subject in the article below.

I never read about anyone recommending "junk silver" coins-actual pre 1964 US 90% silver dimes, quarters and half-dollars-to use as currency/barter WTSHTF.
