Israel v. Gaza: The Big Picture
Preface: What is needed is a cease-fire on ALL sides, as the UN Security Council is demanding ..
Americans only get filtered news from the mainstream media. So here’s the big picture:
By the way, here's a little history you never learned from MSNBCNNABCCBSFOX news:
Postscript: Former Israeli Minister: Calling people who criticize Israeli policy “anti-semitic. It’s a trick … we always use it”

Here's the big picture. Palestinians lose YET again. Israel wins YET again. Arab neighbors STILL don't give a shit about Palestinians but will use them as a proxy army against Israel to try to whittle them down.
LOL !!! Ain't going to work. Pour it on Israel. Make them beg for mercy....and show their puppet masters in the House of Saud and Iran that not only are they too chicken shit to go to war themselves but their pathetic little lapdog mercenary Paletinians are useless.

A Strategy For Israel In The Nineteen Eighties(February 1982)
"Iraq, rich in oil on the one hand and internally torn on the other, is guaranteed as a candidate for Israel's targets. Its dissolution is even more important for us than that of Syria. Iraq is stronger than Syria. In the short run it is Iraqi power which constitutes the greatest threat to Israel. An Iraqi-Iranian war will tear Iraq apart and cause its downfall at home even before it is able to organize a struggle on a wide front against us. Every kind of inter-Arab confrontation will assist us in the short run and will shorten the way to the more important aim of breaking up Iraq into denominations as in Syria and in Lebanon. In Iraq, a division into provinces along ethnic/religious lines as in Syria during Ottoman times is possible. So, three (or more) states will exist around the three major cities: Basra, Baghdad and Mosul, and Shi'ite areas in the south will separate from the Sunni and Kurdish north. It is possible that the present Iranian-Iraqi confrontation will deepen this polarization."

Really, you're gonna listen and accept her as an official example of Israeli policy...the lady was practically a party of one. One of the least powerful and most ineffectual of political parties in Israel. A professed atheist and was fired after one year as minister of eduction after she objected to allowing Israeli students to visit the Holocaust concentration camps and saw nothing wrong with it.
She wanted Jews to lose their identity as Jews.
She made this after she was fired and was a bitter bitter woman.
Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon, a hawkish member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling Likud party, paid tribute to Aloni, acknowledging “significant differences of opinion” between them over the years.
“I always admired her determination to fight for her positions and to make them heard in a loud and clear voice,” he said in a statement.
“She was an important and inseparable part of Israeli public life for many years.”
After retiring from political life in 1996, she was received in 2000 the Israel Prize, the country’s most prestigious national award, for lifetime achievement, sparking howls of protest from ultra-Orthodox leaders.
The prize committee’s citation praised Aloni’s “struggle to promote peace, to improve relations between Jews and Arabs on the basis of mutual respect and to end the state of Israel’s rule over the Palestinian people.”

truth is simply the truth.

In other words, you agree it's true & you're very mad she said so.

When I read the title of the article I thought oh boy another opportunity for jew bashing. I'm not jewish that I know of but does anyone ever get tired of reading ethnic bash threads?
You're not Jewish? Funny, because it's usually Israelis who are always doing their best to conflate anti-zionism with anti-Jew.
It's getting pretty old. Perhaps you should bone up on all the other lies, half-truths and sophistries that characterise the 'reasoning' of zionists, and trot them out here too.
robotic hasbara invasion in 3...2...1..
They really are fucking tedious, these Godwin's lawyers...
It's the same handful of historical lies and rhetorical tricks, over and over and over.
They are, for the most part, completely unconcerned with historical fact, and will tender the most shameless, brazen, obvious fucking lies in a way that I think is unique.
Maybe that's what happens when so much of your self-concept is based on myth [5,000 year history - major kingdoms in Canaan of Old] and ethnocentric dogma [chosen people, perpetual, blameless, 'sacred' victims, light unto the nations].
A few thousand years ago some people figured out that Canaan sits at the crossroads of 3 continents and major sea routes.... that they could sit like an effendi and become rich off the blood, sweat and tears of others..
a priest caste justified this with the exhortation of one god amongst many who was later revised to be the only gOd...for a people who invented and reinvented themselves, writing down fake, more ancient origin stories which were clumsily merged together with the xenophobic, OCD rule-making of the sort which substituted for morality...

When Jesus told the parable of the Samaritan, and said "love thine neighbor" - it was not an affirmation of "the law" of the Talmud and the Pharisees, with its/their *particularist, parochial morality* but a new law - that your neighbor is EVERYONE - not just other Jews.
That, in the end, was his crime - moral universalism...
Hello, Christians!!!
Have you READ Duffy's Link? THE XIAN GOSPELS' JESUS NEVER EXISTED!!!
It's Mythraism redux with almagamations (of Chestus Movement, Seraphis, Zeus, Horus, Dionysus, etc.) and an attempted Merger w/Judaism.
Go to the Site; and have a nice evening read. Though the Author of the Site does give much credit to Early Church Movements, REAL, ACTUAL, SECULAR HISTORY is simply lacking.
There is no Hardcopy of the Gospels available prior to the 4th CE.
Josephus' entry claiming the Jesus was the Messiah was fraudulent - anachronistic and inconsistent with pre 4thCE Editions.
so? the Sermon of the Mount could have been written by a monkey, for all I care. It's still a powerful message. though I suspect you are engaged in this peculiar culture war with your fellow countrymen about Scriptures, science, etc. Nothing a continental european like me can really understand in depth, so skip my comment
Daffy
When you say this:
Um, when Jesus was preaching tolerance for Samaritans, there was no Talmud. That came about 800 years later. But hey, I don't want to stop you when you're on a roll. I think you meant the Mosaic Law (the law of Moses, the Torah).
Further, I don't believe this example of moral universalism got him in deadly trouble (although it didn't help), I think his obvious contempt for - and competition with - the guys who were running temple worship for a profit. You mess with the moneychangers, you get fucking killed. Ask Napoleon or JFK.
Matthew 13:38 "The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one..."
Religion...
One of man's worst ideas.
Now there's an argument that makes sense. Lacking the hate that so many of us look forward to reading on Israel/Palestine threads but factual nonetheless.
Jesus wasn't much into religion as you refer to it. that is why they crucified him. One of central teachings was that the religious hierarchy was fraudulently claiming that they were intermediaries between the people and God. That didn't go over very well with the vested interests.
to your point, I tend to agree with you, organized religion is like a starter program, and easily corrupted. But it is another thing entirely to say that there is nothing beyond the material realm.
The neo-Pharisees would make the moneychangers in the temple blush.
Here they come.
I'm sick and tired of hearing about the joos. One thing is for sure; they either do a lot of bad shit that pisses people off or they're the biggest scapegoats the world has ever seen.
It's one or the other.
Read the Talmud sometime. Institutional racism, supremacism and psychosis. There are good anti-Zionist Jews, unfortunately the more blood-thirsty psycho members of the tribe hold the positions of power.
If you get evicted 109 times it can't be because the landlord was an asshole EVERY time.

Sure and while you are wasting your time read the Koran, the Bible (Old and New) and any other over long crappy treatise on nonsense. Not much differnce between any of them but think of all the fun your'll have noting contradictions, hyprocrisy, love, hate, murder, robbery, torture and virtually every other thing that some insane person or persons drew straight out of their ass. Remember you'll never get the time back you spend reading such crap.
Time would be better spent air hammering your feet into pavement. At least then you may get some sympathy for your wasted time.
Same comment for you too:
Deuteronomy 23: 19-20:
"You shall not charge interest to your countrymen: interest on money, food, or anything that may be loaned at interest. 20"You may charge interest to a foreigner, but to your countrymen you shall not charge interest, so that the LORD your God may bless you in all that you undertake in the land which you are about to enter to possess
What was that problem with fiat money and reserve banks again?
One minute it's "The bible is a fairy tale, not worth reading", next minute "Those sneaky joooooooos rooool the werld!!!" Yeah, no shit! And they told us exactly how they were going to do it, what, 5000 years ago??? In certain countries, during certain periods of history, the Bible was banned and hidden. But we have no excuse. Unless, perhaps we really are a bunch of stupid morons.
The Old Testament is pretty fucking scary too!
Deuteronomy and Leviticus are terrifying. Some of the most rabid Israel cheerleaders are the Evangelical Christians here in the States...The Scofield bible really did a number on them. When I read scripture (which is rarely), it is the NT.
Stop trying to hide Deuteronomy. It's been spelt out for how long now???

Maybe that is why, at certain times, the Bible has been banned. The scam was written right there in black and white!
"It's one or the other."
Why can't it be both?
Because if they really are doing lots of bad shit that pisses people off then they aren't being unfairly blamed; like a scapegoat.
So you're claiming that all Jews are the same?
What about this guy?
http://www.sott.net/image/s9/194245/full/ig_2.jpg
Do you really believe he's the same as this guy?
http://www.sott.net/image/s9/193975/full/Netanyahu_psychopath.jpg
No, I'm not claiming that at all.
Central bankers/TBTF CEO's aren't all the same either but a lot (most?) of them just happen to be similar. ;-)
All scapegoats are the same in that they get unfairly blamed for something they didn't neccesarily do. That was your question and that's what I answered.
Not exactly. You said: "One thing is for sure; they either do a lot of bad shit that pisses people off or they're the biggest scapegoats the world has ever seen.
It's one or the other."
I suggested there were both types. Jews, like Gentiles, are NOT all the same.
sometimes, where there is smoke, there is fire. its really that simple.
Unfortunately reality is rarely "that simple."
Where there's smoke, there's white phosphorus dropped by IDF jets onto children.
Hey GW Dooshbucket, there is no Palestine. It's a fictional place.
fictional place? both Germany and Italy used to be called fictional places (or geographic terms), too, up to the 1860's. Israel belongs to the same category of previously fictional places
all the ancient maps of people who dealt with Palestine shows in fact there is no Israel, Israel is a fiction.
Once a very long time ago thousands of years ago a kingdom if Israel was noted & then it was gone & that was noted. Palestine's been there the entire time.
How old is that map?
I should look more into this ... also found something worth a few digs in various directions, http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/mapstellstory.html , but I have some other things to do at the moment

and there were several hundred thousand "fictitious" people living there ("Trans-Jordanians i think is your preferred nom du jour?) that were fictitiously displaced by Zionist thugs/ terrorists? lol, been hearing these lies for 30 years, like a good joke they never lose their comedic value
