Picturing The Habits Of The Wealthiest People
No one is perfect and there is always room for positive change. If you look on the Internet, you will find a mind-numbing amount of advice from self-proclaimed "success experts" (Google it, we dare you); but when you cut through the fluff, most point towards one key piece of advice...almost all would agree that the single most important thing you have is your time. Life is about balance, too much of anything can be bad and moderation is key (except low rates, printed money, and 100-million-dollar apartments in NYC)...

Thanks for the tips.
Where's my apartment in NYC at?
26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
Proverbs 10:4 (NIV):
Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.
2 Thessalonians 3:10 (NIV):
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat."

They stare at you after looking at a pool of water on the street-corner ... you are expect to lie prone and let them walk over you. Don't you get it, prole?
lulz They stare at you after looking at a pool of water on the street-corner"... You share your bounty and build an "guilded army"...
The most fascinating aspect of all this is that by following Biblical principles (i.e., honesty, hard work, charity, love) one is very likely to become prosperous.
It's all a matter of motives and perspective. See John Calvin:

Rich= 100%
Poor= never
7 The rich rule over the poor,
and the borrower is slave to the lender.
The moral of the story: don't be poor, and don't be a borrower.
-Chumbz.
Unless you owe the lender an s ton, then the lender is your bitch, and will probably bail you out...
It's hard work spending that EBT balance, not to mention all that paperwork ot get free healthcare and housing. That takes probably 15-20 hours a week.
Pastalasauce 8;10 (meatballs)
"he who maketh the pasta shall enjoy the fruit of his spaghetti"
---flying spaghetti monster. he boiled for your sins.
That doesn't answer my question. I'm American, I'm among the richest in the world, I have the right to have an apartment in NYC. I demand my right be given!

5 Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?
Just one question, who wrote that book? ;-)
My understanding it was James the half brother of Jesus.
Here is a good resource discussing the topic.
https://bible.org/seriespage/james-introduction-outline-and-argument#_ftn8
please educate me. how could anybody be the 1/2 brother of somebody born of a virgin who received the 'word' in her ear? serious - this story i don't know.
my only guess is that joseph the father was allowed to remarry after his first wife had died. i'm not joking, i do not know this one.
If they share a mother does that not make them half brothers?
Well, that's an interesting question. Was Jesus half Mary DNA and half God DNA?
-Chumbz.
To the heart Mr. C. Good shot.
i think everybody in that part of the world were first or second cousins back then - a lot ot that still happens now in villages all over the world
Nobody. Now isn't that a statement.
Just one question, who wrote that book? ;-)
Consensus guess is ~40 people
Excuse me, NidStyles, but your ghetto is not correct. The proper way to speak that statement is:
WHERE my apartment in NYC at?
If any further questions, please consult MTV. Thank you!
Pardon me, but it's more like:
"WHERE da FUCK isa me NYC crib BITCH?"
I suspect many of those habits are a consequence rather than a cause though, but nevertheless they make sense. Also sceptical to the percentage of self made billionaires. 68? Yeah, right. That's because family fortunes are shady business and because the parents of the self made ones never told them to stack their billions away in Caribbean bank deposits before anyone else got to know about them.
Yeah, getting up three hours before you go to work is easy when you don't go in till noon. And keep a to-do list is easy when your personal assistant does it.
MY Few Wealthy friends, don't read Zerohedge.
They suffer Impoverished lives for the lack of reading the wealth of ideas here.
I am a Hedge addict.
That's suppose to be the start of recovery...but in actuality I think admitting to it makes matters worse.
Anywho "this is not the World War you are looking for! Move along!"
One thread at a time, disabledvet.

Interesting anecdote Alex.
Of the whopping two persons I've been acquainted with in the B club - by chance, not by choice or my own achievements - BOTH do.
Moderation in life 'they say', yet that gets tossed out the fuckin window when it comes to Work - and being on 5 days and off 2 days.
.
We're either thinking about work, at work or recovering from work...then we sleep. At least we are mostly at peace in our dreams.
Speak for yourself, I think this place has traumatized me....
Don't forget the drinking to forget about work. Very important.
You're good when you drink to forget drinking, right?
Get me to the liquor store, I got questions!
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.
How many of the folks listed appear to be happy ?
Damn few of them if any.
#1 Habit of truly wealthy people -- being born that way. Yes there are exceptions, but few.
Just ask Chelsea Clinton!
Is it just me or do all of those chaps in the picture have brown noses?
Was the point to say that they are all "Brown-nosers"?
I was trying to think of something about cutting off their noses to spite their faces, but then I settled for "alcoholics"
i wouldn't trade places with any of them
I'll bet you a dollar that Obama could, Mortimer.

Some also win the Lottery. The American Dream to become Rich is just that .......A DREAM. Grantedd a few do win otherwise its Old Money or profits from Corruption/Theft.
I think the 100 million dollar print will not be seen again for many, many, many decades.
This current storyline has Last Tycoon written all over it.
War is so much easier than peace anyways. "Who really wants to fight for justice?" In the end the ego demands a body count...and what is a human if not something with an ego before all other things.
You think a monkey cares how he looks while he throws a cocunut at your head? Nay, veerily...only humans demand the imagery of their inhumanity "for all to see."
With death such a spectacle...why not a hundred million?
"Just make sure their the right ones"?
What are the , wash their own dishes, or clean their toilet or make their own bed, percentages?
I could focus on goals and volunteering if I had someone doing all the tasks most people call "life" for me.
Its official then, i am a poor person*
* who happens to like to read.
HAHAHA! You have to hand it to those trying to steer this market thru behavior/sentiment. A special on CNBC for less than 150 bps on SPX that was up 7% YTD? I'll be a big seller of VIX on the open tomorrow. Get em while they're hot!
good grief i guess you saw that action. holy crap, the S&P is down 1% and the vix explodes up 40% or some shit? hahahaha!!
I'm still digging.
Here's a good link. FWIW / I'm car guy.
http://www.microsoft.com/about/companyinformation/usaoffices/en/us/defau...
Now I'll start looking locally to find out what the extent of the layoffs are, and what divisions they entail.
Build from the bottom down Bitchez.
See that guy over there buying second hand jeans and shirts at the thrift store? He's rich, bitch!
Somehow, its just not credible these are the wealthiest people. Yes, $67billion is a lot of dough, but if its in stocks, its just paper.
Make a list of the owners of the world's key resources, share holders in central banks, etc.. and we're getting somewhere.
No such list exists. That information is classified.
It probably is. I would not be surprised at this point. Especially now that self-rule (elections/representative government) has been proven a deceit, I would also not be surprised the Citizens United Ruling was allowed in order to have the middle management listed in this article (and those not listed) take the fall for buying the politicians therefore distracting the increasingly angry plebs from the real corrupt forces that own us.
Yes, conspiratorial. History's ruling families are guilty of such treachery and worse.
Just to maintain their claim to the deed to the planet..
A great deal of the worlds riches were won over a generation ago.
The past 50 years or so have simply been an effort of the rich, not to gain more money , but to gain the power to protect the money they already have . . . and prevent others from becoming equally as rich.
Quite frankly step 1 get rich step 2 burn the ladder down with everyone on it ;)
"Quite frankly step 1 get rich step 2 burn the ladder down with everyone on it ;)"
You just saved anyone who wants to understand Ayn Rand from reading thousands of pages.
Your assertions are not correct. The bulk of wealth has been 'made' in the last 40 years. The decline of manufacturing coupled with the rise of the computer, then the internet, then real estate, then the explosion of the money supply has created an very rapid growth of wealthy people. There were 2.4 million millionaires in 1983 and 9.6 today. Thus over seven million millionaires were created in the last 40 years ... 75% of millionaires created and not inherited their wealth.
It's very easy to take pot-shots at the rich ... it is true that if you have wealth you want to keep ... the man who owns a car or a house or a billion dollars wants to keep it and will work hard to develop strategies to do so.
Unless you believe like Obama, Clinton and Warren: "You didn't make this"
I will refer you to NickVegas's post above. These aren't the real rich, There's a plateau above this one that you never see the names of.
The ones on this list are the ones who recently got rich(or like the limelight like buffet). They are the ones who haven't erased themselves and their family from the press so to speak. Do you see a Rothchilds? Rockerfeller, or Warburg? No?
Bill Gates commutes? Thats just wrong. Working while being driven or flown to meetings isn't commuting. Thats telecommuting.
Bill Gates doesn't need to clear customs.
He's carrying every antibody a bankster or dictator could want, on his fingernail.
Thanks, but I'll just buy a lottery ticket.
Bottom line. You can't take it with you (name the author of that famous play). So you better enjoy yourself cause soon you'll be worm food-billions or not. I have all of those habits, but not with the goal of wealth-the goal of mental and physical health instead. Wealth is a by-product of discipline and delayed gratification but by itself provides little or no happiness. Envy is a waste of time and one of the deadly sins but the basis of all socialists programs.
The secret to life. If something it requires no effort, failure or discipline-its not worth doing. And yes, that includes sex!
what about setting deals to steal people money or paying lobbyists to allow you to steal other people's wealth? Most billionaires didn't get their wealth the old fashion way of working...they scammed it. Any Russian worth a billion stole it, even Buffet mostly use government fait to grow his wealth. He is a big backer of Goldman Sach....the most ruthless scam of a company to exist! Do you think Puff Daddy's parents had him writting goals? Or what about Jay-Z? Please what a load this article is!
Honestly, if you want to feel wealthy... just learn to live with less.
Funny, no one mentions the Rothschilds or the Rockefellers or the Astors or any of the 13 ruling families.
I was going to point that out as well.
To the press and things like this they Don't Exist.
We will never see any one of their names in a thing like this, Period.
When I want bullshit, I will plug my TV back in. (but thanks for thinking of me)
I have a hard time wrapping my head around the leap from living in a car selling shampoo D2D to being worth 4 Bil.
Mr. Mitchell must have be on the receiving end of some fabulous blow jobs!
i would like to watch a documentary about the 18,000 people who are going to be fired by msft.
" the year after , with 18,000"
