The death toll among Palestinians from the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip reached over 500 on Monday, Gaza health officials said, as the two sides counted their dead following the bloodiest day of fighting so far in the two-week campaign. CBS reports the officials said some 3,150 Palestinians had been wounded. The IDF just announced 7 Israeli soldiers were killed today, raising the Israeli death toll to 25 (including 2 civilians). These two sides will never reach a peace settlement because of their saying, why negotiate when you are weak cause you give up too much, and why negotiate when you are strong because you can have it all.
What the world needs to do is set up the land boundaries and then impose crippling sanctions on both sides unless they agree to the settlement. Cut off all food, fuel, trade, flights, etc.

The concept of identifying a group of people to a clear, segregable ethnic lineage after 2000+ years, is plain fucking stupid. Be it me, the Palestinian or the Jew next door. I've heard of more than one genetic study claiming the Palestinians have the strongest (or at the very least equal) genetic link to the Israelites of Roman times, which makes this whole conflict and ongoing racism of both sides quite hilarious.
