Turkish PM Cuts Ties With US, Mulls De-Dollarization With Russia

Tyler Durden's picture

As Turkey's graft probe continues (which the Prime Minister believes is a conspiracy - fact or not - created by The West), AP reports that Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said he no longer holds "direct" telephone conversations with U.S. President Barack Obama, suggesting a rift between the leaders who were once close. What is perhaps even more concerning is Turkey's recent de-dollarization discussions with Russia to move to settlement in local currencies. It appears 'allies' are falling by the way-side quicker than many thought...

Turkey shuns Obama... (via AP)

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said he no longer holds "direct" telephone conversations with U.S. President Barack Obama, suggesting a rift between the leaders who were once close.

In an interview with Turkey's ATV television late Monday, Erdogan said that "in the past, I used to call him directly. Because I was not able to get direct results on Syria, now our foreign ministers talk to each other."

Erdogan did not elaborate. But the Turkish leader is known to have been frustrated by U.S. reluctance for a military involvement in Syria to end the violence there.

Erdogan told ATV he speaks with Vice President Joe Biden to discuss Iraq.

In the past, Obama cast Turkey as a model democracy and the two would frequently talk by telephone.

Turkey prepares to De-Dollarize with local currency settlement with Russia... (via Google Translate)

In Sydney, the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexei Ulyukayev "on the margins" of the meeting of trade ministers of the "Group of Twenty" met with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Nihat Zeybekchi.

In 2013, the volume of trade between the countries amounted to 32.7 billion dollars. Russia is the second (after the EU) among foreign trade partners of Turkey, and Turkey - the eighth largest trade partner of Russia.

As one of the measures to stimulate the development of trade and economic relations between Russia and Turkey, the Turkish side proposes to proceed in mutual national currencies. The question now being discussed at the site of the bilateral Working Group on banking and financial cooperation.

Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Nihat Zeybekchi noted that the Turkish side is interested in building on the territory of Russian transport and logistics center for the provision of warehousing, customs clearance, loading and unloading, packing of goods, etc., which is connected with the sea ports, airports and railways and highways.

Discussion of all issues Ministers agreed to continue an ad hoc working group in late September in Istanbul.

Putin's Russia is the main obstacle to the west stealing Ukraine's natural resources to bail out a bankrupt EU AND advancing their NWO agenda.  Putin knows this and knows that once they have Ukraine it is only a matter of time before Ukrainians are "paid" to break down Russia.  If successful, China remains isolated.

Well, this is pretty morbid and I do not even know if I should write it or if I will express it correctly.  But I will give it a go just because NPR spent a whole fucking hour today trying to figure out Russia.  I had to travel a lot today and I can only I listen to so many mattress sale commercials because you never know whne you need to drop a grand or more on a new mattress.  Hell, a lot of times I don't listen to anything at all but the wind blowing but I always want to hear what the dipshits are saying so I will tune back in.  I am not really into sports much so that rules out AM for the most part around this market.  If there is any radio that I like anymore it is weatherband because I need to know about the weather for what I am doing.

Hopefully, I softened things up a bit.  I am just an observer in this case.  NPR brought on a host of so-called experts on Russia from all sorts of American universities.  I heard the term "Advanced Russian Studies" multiple PHD whatever the fuck these entitle themselves.  Having a Russian wife and relatives and having gotten really, really, really shitfaced drunk in Russia numerous times.  You have to have a wire crossed in your brain somewhere to even consider that to be a good idea but when in Rome as they say.  Our livers are all yellowed out up north too and probably every else as well.  In vino veritas

The panel of "experts" we pay for went back and forth.  The more I listened the more became frustrated because there was no Russian there to offer a counterpoint.  The were accepting calls and some of the comments were so inane that I thought for sure a Russian would call in but none did.  The debate was mainly about Putin as though he actually represents Russians.  One of the more intelligent PHD's finally offered up that most Russans do not care and that they are as apethetic as Americans.  I can confirm that to be true.

There has been a huge of love affair Russians on ZH for some time now.  I think some folks have idolized them as rebels.  That would be incorrect.  I have tried to say this before but in a lot ways they are like us so  can understand.  NPR and the universities for "Advanced Russian Studies" sure can't figure it out though.

The running joke in Russia right now, and for Russian expats is this.  "Do you know where Malaysian Airlines can fly?  From Kuala to Lumpur."  It seems to be funny to them I guess.  It is not funny to me at all.  It is not funny to any of you at all either is it?  I immediately retorted that it's fucking bullshit to shoot down a passenger airplane and then try to hide the evidence.  Come on because now you look bad.

Alright, we Westerners get it that you hate our banking fraudsters but your whole country is full of fraud as well and you Russians have a central bank as well.  Not only that it is pretty hard to own PM's.  Maybe address that shit first before you start shooting down passenger planes.

It's complicated over there to be sure but you just can't shoot down a passenger plane and try to cover it up.  I stll respect the Russan people but their .gov is just as rotten as ours.  99% of Russians would never kill innocent people.  Putin is not Russia just as Obama is not the United States.

We have no idea what has happened to our Ukrainian friend Sergei from St Cloud, MN.(long story)  We called because I wanted to hire him to help on a job and I would pay him cash.  The guy is an MD but can't get his practitioner's license here in the U.S. due to Obamacare and other restrictions.  He went back to Ukraine because his family and children there and we have not heard from him for several weeks now.

War is ugly to be sure.

I have no doubt Putin would shoot down a passenger jet if it suited his purpose, as would Obama.

I have yet to hear anyone suggest any reason on this occasion why shooting down MH17 would suit Putin's purpose.  The western mass media is full of evidence that it suited Obama's purpose.

I've never seen you post much worth a shit around here shovelhead.  Maybe go read a history book for the first time.  I did not say that my wife was drunk and listening to NPR.  I said that I was driving on a long service and happened to hear the program.  I can't listen to Miley Cyrus all day long.  I do it for the same reason that fucks like you go over to HuffPo and post under different names and think the rest of us can't see you.

This is fight club to be sure but it has become Russia Man Love Club without most of you ever even having been there.  I am calling you out.  The rules of fight club apply but there is one other rule that is not in the fight club rules and that is this:  You NEVER attack a man's wife.  You want a piece of me?; that's fine, but do not say anything about my wife because you have trouble comprehending what I wrote.  By the way, she doesn't drink and is a hell of a great mother to our children.

So attack me then and we will run the list of posts we have both made over the years.

I knew that it would not come off the way it should but I had other shit to do.  If you actually READ what I said where do you come up with that I ever said Russians shot down the fucking plane?  Where exactly did I say that that is what happened?  Show me where I said that.  You read what you wanted to see and totally missed the point I was trying to make.

Are you slow?  You have never seen me post before have you?  I listen to NPR because I PAY FOR IT and I need to know what they are reporting and how they will spin it so that I know.  Ihave been around around the block a few times more than you.

Coincidentally, there used to be an M.D. named Sergei Demchenko, from the Ukraine, who lived here (NC) and managed a local fast food restaurant. Ok, help me.

Syria, Assad is a strong ally to Russia.  Turkey hates Assad, wanted Syrian taken out.Turkey also hates the Kurds in the New  Kurdistan, Syria.

How does Putin smooth it over with these two?

Does he promise Syria, Turkey  that they can carve up Kurdistan, partition it  between them?  If so he pisses off Iraq where he is trying to seduce as well.

If Putin  can corral Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran together what the fuck does the US have left in the area?

Israel, sure, Jordan  , Kuwait I guess, Qatar and Yemen. But the big boys are on the 'other side- other than Saudi but it is attempting to distance itself from US paper too.. I think the US  is close to the Sisi govt in Egypt, but thats a bomb ready to go off?

It is never about hate, it is always about money and power. Politics is the confluence of and divvying up of stolen money and power.

Israel’s pipeline and/or gas has to go thru Turkey, so Turkish pols and crats are maneuvering for as much loot as they can get their hands on from Israel and/or Russia--Highest bidder wins.

My friend is a sailor, he said "We always know first, because the equipment is delivered there before they announce. This equpment is going to be loaded on a ship" he was working on the ships that were delivering military equipment  to Iraq.

On a funny note: The ship was trying to dock in Pakistan a day after Bin Ladin raid. The Pakistanis wouldn't  take their ropes  so they had to anchor. Next morning the ship sailed out of there  all tagged up with "FUCK AMERICA"

Oh, does anyone remember Stalin's Russia Killing 40 million people? At this point, I'm beginning to wonder. First, in ww2 it was the Ukraine. Oh, and then the love note from Stalin to the armed forces, "fight or die". And, let's not forget that the whole thing was about primarily Zionist Bolshevics, some of whom I lived with in college. They like going to the "String Cheese Incident" concerts and "Phish"shows" and getting high. Paging 1930 - Stalin? Mate, it is 2014. If you are trying to see Putin is the new Stalin, the new Hitler, whatever, you need to do some more research.

He is more like the new Deng Xiaoping than either of those two. Prepared to do some dirty work and murder people here and there, but more pragmatic and understanding of the age he lives in and not prepared to go on a massive rampage - have you noticed the Russian army marching around Ukraine and Kiev being blown to bits yet?

Yeah - there's a reason that hasn't happened, and its unlikely. Its just not the way to do things these days! (If you can at all help it).

Thumbs up to Turkey

BTW lemme tell you what happened .

USA looted 33 tons of gold from Ukraine in return for support to rebels for their help to overturn & capture power.

The 33 tons of gold was sold to Iraq , took their billion of dollars but kept this 33 tons of gold in New York.

Secretly allowed rebels supported by its Ally Saudi Arabia (the ISIS) to capture vast areas & oilfields in Iraq.

Force majeure due to war .

Result :

USA keeps the Gold as well as the billions of dollars. Two birds with one stone.

---------

Let all nations know that USA is looting all of them, deceiving all of them.

The United Nations, World Bank, ICC etc intl. agencies, EU, IMF, NATO  are all its puppets.
