A few years ago I read Mein Kampf and later, Hitler's Table Talk (a compendium of notes taken between approximately 1939 and 1942). Funny, I live in a large community and I can't remmeber the last instance of violence. This is what humans do? What a pathetic argument. Humans have been constructing social arrangements for tens of thousands of years. Some in relative peace (homo habilis- no found weapons of war or social stratification), Tribal agreements and arrangements meant to share scarce resources (Iroquoi, Xeer), some have used violence to contain behavior or religious restrictions.
Once you take the time to study the means by which violence is perpetrated and why, it is quite easily contained and relegated to a minor disturbance. People desire security. The only ones which don't are the ones which profit from it, i.e. criminals and psychopaths.
Allowing social systems to develop which encourage criminals and psychopaths will result in "shit ain't fair, get over it". If this is the height of your social development, then by all means, become a community of one.
