All excess inventory will be kept off market and destroyed, becoz we can't have the peasants buying stuff cheap and revealing what they can actually afford and what stuff is really worth on the open market! Your inventory is worth whatever the price tag in the showroom says, multiplied by how many units you have, and that figure can be used for dodgy accounting / GDP figures. The instant they sell stuff cheap, the company's valuation collapses. Classic trap that guarantees mis-allocation of capital.
You won't find bargains in the showroom. The bargains will go out the back door to the demolition shop out the back of the liquidators.
