It appears a lot of ZH'ers question the existence and/or origin of satellite photos, believing that they must all originate in a spy agency.
That is simply not so. Since the age of digital cameras, where governments had to actually send astronauts to recover the high-resolution film, there have been commercial imagery agencies. It is not harder to send up an imaging satellite than, say, a TV-station's weather-radar satellite. In fact, as cameras have increased in resolution and decreased in cost, an imaging satellite is cheaper to make and operate than a radar satellite because it uses less power.
Anyway, here are commercial enterprises that own their own imaging satellites:

The actions of The State of Israel are a human tragedy of epic modern proportions. These actions put people of jewish faith in abolute danger world-wide, as well as the direct 1st order effect against civilians in Gaza and the West Bank, children, women, innocents.
Blowback is a strange thing. It rarely is directed exclusively, or even closely at those who are really to blame. Innocents are often caught in the crossfire. Innocent Hasidic Jews, Innocent advocates for humanity that happen to be jewish, etc. As Israel continues to murder civilians and kids, blowback will increase against these other innocents creating an even greater tragedy.
Pray for understanding. Pray for compassion and humanity. We are entering a dark time. Many, even here seem to have misplaced their humanity and have hardened their hearts so they see no difference between slaughtered children and livestock. My heart breaks for everyone affected by this tragedy.
Maybe the non-Israeli jews could voice some objection to what the Israelis are doing, and prevent that supposed misunderstanding and misattribution of anger. But so far, where I live the only actions by the local Jewish community have been public demonstrations in support of Israel, including dancing in the street in celebration of the 'heroics' of the IDF and physically attacking pro-Palestinian protesters.

As I said in an earlier thread, you would think Hamas/PA/etc., would of learned by now that what they are doing isn't working and would try a different strategy. Keep fighting and dieing at 1000:1 ratio, or accept Israel is going to be there and come to the table and work out a two state solution acceptable to both.

So what you are saying is that all of their armies could not get together (sort of like a Nato) and push back or at least supply Gaza with the weapons they need? That's either silly or you are just unwilling to admit that they don't want to help, and their actions show it.
Egypt, Jordan and Syria all share borders with Israel and all have a standing army with modern weapons better than those Hamas rockets. Israel is just one little country. The US/Obama sure isn't sending troops over there.
When you are a a military occupier, you are the responsible party for the state you are occupying, no others. This applies to america just as much as Israel BTW. Trying to divert that responsibility is contemptible.

Is Israel Using Experimental Weapons in Gaza?

Concerns about Israel’s use of non-conventional and experimental weapons in the Gaza Strip are growing, with evasive comments from spokesmen and reluctance to allow independent journalists inside the tiny enclave only fuelling speculation.
The most prominent controversy is over the use of shells containing white phosphorus, which causes horrific burns when it comes into contact with skin. Under international law, phosphorus is allowed as a smokescreen to protect soldiers but treated as a chemical weapon when used against civilians.
The Israeli army maintains that it is using only weapons authorised in international law, though human rights groups have severely criticised Israel for firing phosphorus shells over densely populated areas of Gaza.
But there might be other unconventional weapons Israel is using out of sight of the watching world.
One such munition may be Dime, or dense inert metal explosive, a weapon recently developed by the US army to create a powerful and lethal blast over a small area.
The munition is supposed to still be in the development stage and is not yet regulated. There are fears, however, that Israel may have received a green light from the US military to treat Gaza as a testing ground.
“We have seen Gaza used as a laboratory for testing what I call weapons from hell,” said David Halpin, a retired British surgeon and trauma specialist who has visited Gaza on several occasions to investigate unusual injuries suffered by Gazans.
“I fear the thinking in Israel is that it is in its interests to create as much mutilation as possible to terrorise the civilian population in the hope they will turn against Hamas.”
Gaza’s doctors, including one of the few foreigners there, Mads Gilbert, a Norwegian specialist in emergency medicine working at Al Shifa hospital in Gaza City, report that many of the injuries they see are consistent with the use of Dime.
Wounds from the weapon are said to be distinctive. Those exposed to the blast have severed or melted limbs, or internal ruptures, especially to soft tissue such as the abdomen, that often lead to death.
There is said to be no shrapnel apart from a fine “dusting” of minute metal particles on damaged organs visible when autopsies are carried out. Survivors of a Dime blast are at increased risk of developing cancer, according to research carried out in the United States.
Traditional munitions, by contrast, cause large wounds wherever shrapnel penetrates the body.
“The power of the explosion dissipates very quickly and the strength does not travel long, maybe 10 metres, but those humans who are hit by this explosion, this pressure wave, are cut in pieces,” Dr Gilbert said in a recent interview.
